⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-Star Stay with One Important Note We stayed at this Hilton for the last two days, and as always, it felt like coming back to a place we truly enjoy. This isn’t our first time staying here it’s actually our third or fourth, this hotel consistently gives us comfort, convenience, and a warm atmosphere. The location is perfect, everything is clean, and the service is usually excellent. From the moment we checked in, Adel Ahmed made our stay exceptional. He was professional, kind, respectful, and clearly experienced. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome, and his customer service is the reason guests come back. Staff like him represent Hilton at its best, and he truly deserves recognition for how well he treats people. However, I do want to share one concern. When my husband went to check out, the tall African woman at the front desk (I wish I remembered her name) was very dismissive and unprofessional. He was standing right in front of her with no other customers waiting, yet she acted busy, avoided assisting him, and even called someone else instead of helping him directly. It was disrespectful and unnecessary, especially compared to the level of service the rest of the staff provides. Despite this one negative encounter, we still love this hotel and will continue to return. My honest suggestion is to invest in more staff like Adel Ahmed people who embody true hospitality and make every guest feel valued.

I come to this Hilton hotel pretty often, about 4 times a year and I always had great stays. The hotel is in a great location, very clean, bar is nice and restaurant is very solid. I just want to give a special shoutout to the front desk manager Arlene Bonacua and Jamie Smith for providing outstanding service. I remember seeing Arlene the last time I visited and she remembered me as well. They made us feel welcome, answered all our questions and made sure I remembered to use my credit for being Diamond status. We will be sure to stay in this hotel when in the area.

We had a great experience during our stay at the hotel. Staff was so nice and attentive. Adel, Arlene, and Angelica made this an unforgettable and comfortable experience for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for the holidays. There is a lot of parking too!

Google
The customer service here is amazing! Especially Arlene & Jamie! They were so welcoming, peaceful & helpful at the front desk. Check in was very quick. The hotel is clean, pretty & quiet. It also has an easy-access parking lot. Would definitely recommend it here!

Google
This is a very solid mid-range hotel. It’s big; 14 sizable floors and a big, open lobby space with a good hotel restaurant. I had a two bed room that included a nice sitting area separate from the bed space. The room was large and clean and included everything I needed for my stay. Do t get me wrong, this isn’t luxury but for the space this hotel sits in, it’s a very good value. Bonus points for having excellent water pressure in the shower I’ve ever had in a hotel.

This is one of my favorite Hiltons. The room layout is awesome. The market shop has a large variety and offers self checkout and has an onsite Starbucks. Lots of parking and no parking fee. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. I also used the self service laundry which had a nice lounge and the machines were clean and in good working order. This is and will continue to be my go to Hilton in Fairfax.

Google
I wasn't sure if I would be comfortable here. I was traveling for work and wanted something QUIET, clean and comfortable. Can the rooms be updated? Yes. Can there be more comforts in the bathrooms (think makeup removal wipes)? Yes. Can the staff be more accommodating? NO! To be honest, the staff makes the visit! Truly. Especially ANGELICA, who is one of the bartenders / servers. This woman is ON IT. She gets it right the first time, checks back regularly, knows the audience, etc. We saw Angelica a few times during our two nites and We Loved Angelica! Thanks for a great two nites, Hilton Fairfax, and to everyone else, when in Fairfax, Hilton Fairfax it!

Google
This review is for Angelica over at Nova! She is an amazing bartender and server, and we have had the pleasure of being taken care of by her several times. She is so kind and caring and takes the time to show you she cares about you and your family. She is truly a great asset to this team and they are so lucky to have her! Already can’t wait to be a customer of hers again. Mahalo plenty Angelica!

Yelp
I had a really good stay at the Hilton Fairfax for one night while there on business. I selected my room and checked in online with the Hilton Honors app so after I parked I went right to my room on the top floor. No views that would wow anyone but I could see the traffic on the local highway and how busy the nearby shopping center was. I love the layout of the room and I hope it's something that Hilton's do more. The room was really spacious and the TV divider between the sitting area and the sleeping area was great. The bathroom was clean and well-appointed. Be sure to park in the lot behind the hotel. The lobby is large and if you park on the side you've got a long way to talk to get to the elevators. There is a Whole Foods nearby and lots of sidewalks around the business complex. I paid for the breakfast buffet before checking out. It was standard but everything was hot and tasted fresh. I wouldn't pay the full price for it but I had a credit that I used with my Hilton Honors status. I'd definitely stay at this property again.

Yelp
We stayed here for a conference. The hotel rooms were comfortable. I had pre-requested no feather pillows in room due to being allergic to feathers, but that those darned feather pillows were in the bed anyway. I like the layout with a small sitting area separated from the bed. The bed was comfortable, but the bathroom was small. No iron or ironing board in room. The steamer didn't work well to take wrinkles out of clothing. The room was nice. Would come back for another night.

Yelp
Held an event here in the large ballroom. It was awesome. Everything was clean, commutation went well with the hotel. I highly recommend this place for events.

Yelp
The only thing keep it from a 5 was the construction project on the elevators. If you didn't have to go to work that day during the week the racket was going to wake you up, and it was a constant pounding until at least 1700. The room was a very nice size I was a big fan of the rotating tv, pull out couch, bed comfort, and the water pressure and temperature. They came and cleaned the room daily and the in house restaurant had quality food and food and drink specials daily. The room also has a steamer as well as an iron for your clothing needs, I was there on business and the steamer came in handy on my suits Lastly the location is prime for pretty much any cuisine from fast food to hibachi being right around the corner from the property. If you fly into Dulles it is about 10 mins away from the airport.

Yelp
I decided on this hotel due to the close proximity to things going on during a staycation! Parking is free, and there is plenty with an entry door for guests to use to access the hotel. These doors are accessible until 11 pm currently. There are steps on the back end where you park, so keep that in mind. Front of hotel where lobby is is easily accessible with no steps or stairs. The rooms are nice and as advertised on the site. The room was clean with free water for Hlton upper tier guests. Glasses. Keurig Coffee maker and kcups of tea and coffee provided. Mini fridge in the room No issues controlling the temperature or it staying at the desired temp. TV is huge and is nicely on a swivel for viewing from bed or the living area. The stay was a 4.5/5 the room has no microwave and the one provided in the lobby for guests was smaller than what I had waaay back in college with the power to match so prepare to spend some time reheating your leftovers. :( Throughout the stay, I received text messages asking how things were going. That was a nice touch and an easy way to ask questions or get help if needed. Will stay again!

Yelp
Diamond member 15 years. I travel frequently throughout the world and to this hotel in particular over two years since my child who I visit is there. On numerous stays, I have seen varying degrees of service, but these last stays have made me question even what value being a diamond member even has to this particular hotel. I know this hotel has changed general managers several times. My own personal experience is on one occasion this summer, a housekeeper gentleman darted into my room thinking I wasn't there but was quietly working on the couch when it appears he likely was trying to steal something quickly bit realized fast I actually WAS in the room and darted out. I reported it immediately and got the " so sorry talk" from a nice enough staff. I was on high alert for future visits. I noticed that every visit something would be missing from my bag when I'd return to unpack. A perfume, a shampoo bottle, a pair of earrings.things that I'd question if by chance I misplaced bit it always happened on nearly bi weekly stays. Hard to accuse without proof and so I started keeping my cosmetics and valuables bag with me when I'd leave during the day and installed a web cam overlooking my suitcase during my time away in the day. Then I noticed that in the upgraded premium rooms, there were dog crap stains along the perimeter windows. I was placed there a month later, by chance the same room, and it was still there. The AC in those premium rooms do not work and I asked a few times to be moved to which same issue was present , so I think this is to their knowledge, but if you don't wish to be held in an air tight surround tight window filled HOT room, don't stay in these ones. Housekeeping was missed on my last 3 days stay this month with them. Likely they went into my room which didn't have a sign on the door, but when there wasn't anything to steal likely got passive aggressive. They do not do a deep cleaning of these rooms in my opinion which is verified when they don't check UNDER their own mattresses or under or behind couches which are filthy. Sometimes the room lamps don't work and the lighting they do have leans towards dim which makes impossible for working or reading at night. Shampoo shower containers not always filled, only 3 towels given to two guests where you must then be met at the door with housekeeping and their tip me scanners to get what you should be getting with a $259 per night stay of at least 2 towels ( one for head, one for body ) per two guests. Nearly 85% of my stays, there is ALWAYS a financial discrepancy on your bill. Look carefully at it always. As a diamond member, you're suppose to get breakfast included b6 this hotel only gives you a $15 credit with a $22 breakfast and They fail each time to credit the two people on the reservation ( my son and I) and or the bill amount for room charges or return deposit amounts get wonky at this hotel. Look carefully, document your stay. Because it's happened nearly every visit, I am thinking it's s hidden corporate trick they hope to squeeze s bit more out of your stay to corporate backed stays or foreign visitors, The reason why I even bother staying here at all has nothing to do with the hotel itself, ( can be noisy weekends with kids sporting events keeping elevators blocked up all night, loud guests etc ) but rather I love the separate restaurant on site which has fabulous food and martinis. You can also walk to a grocery store or shops nearby if that matters to you . The gym is sufficient as well. There is no business center really here and the one printer they offer has to be done through front desk. Good luck getting someone around to do that. In terms of staff, it's hit or miss. They change out frequently in front staff. The early morning guy before 7 am switch over send more interested in chatting in his office with the Starbucks employee than being around at the front desk helping anyone. The check in time staff seem to vary but there has been times when they have been rude, dismissive of the concerns of possible theft and there was no attempt to compensate for the annoyance of coming back to no housekeeping on my second day stay where I simply wanted to nap before my child arrived to me rather than wait for housekeeping to THEN decide to clean the room. I was too tired to want to deal with their issues during my paid stay and declined it. Customer service or satisfaction to their diamond members was nill. All of these issues here has made me rethink stating at their nearby Marriot hotel chains which carry exceptional reviews according to co workers have noted their own similar horror stories when they stayed at this Hilton while mentioning other hotels they didn't experience these issues. When I tried to speak about my stay to the front desk via phone this AM, they switched me twice to varying people who kept me more on hold than caring to take seriously any of my concerns. #HiltonFairfax

Yelp
Enjoyed our stay while traveling (and we plan to stay there again when we are in the area!) Friendly staff at the front desk, easy check in & check out. Clean and quiet rooms. Everything I wanted and needed. Found a great deal online and I'm happy to have had the opportunity to stay there at a reasonable price too.

Yelp
There was a blood stain on the futon. This is unforgivable they have brought shame to the name that is Hilton. It is wheelchair accessible. Breakfast was great pancakes were a little stiff but overall great.

Yelp
Not a professional hotel reviewer by any means, and not a regular corporate traveler - but as a primarily pleasure and needs nomad, with many an occasion to frequently stay over at many lodgings across and sporadically outside the country, I have developed as what I believe is my concise method for scoring the worthiness of each hotel visited. My criteria are as follows and the results are: 1) ease of access to and from public or private ground transportation [Score 4.5]; 2) convenient and safe parking [Score:4.5]; 3) access, accuracy and convenience of check in and check out [Score: 4.0]; 4) atmosphere, ambience, public facilities, lounging areas and access to an office center and Wi-Fi access [Score: 3.5]; 5) overall customer service - including but not limited to Hospitality, Support Services, Concierge knowledge, communication, attitude and demeanor of staff [Score: 3.5]; 6) quality, cleanliness, value, convenience, amenities (i.e., ironing board, iron, TV, charging access, phone, et.al.) and comfort of rooms, beds, room safe and/or valet services [Score: 4.0]; Taking all the aforementioned categories in a scale of 1 star to 5 stars with 1 being the worst and 5 being the best a hotel can be! This hotel rates 3.3 of 5.0. Most positive point(s) at this hotel is/are: decent service and accessibility. It offers many amenities convenient to the lodger and is in an area offering eating establishments nearby. Most negative points found here are: this hotel feels and looks like an office building! Dreary-looking lobby, monotonous interiors, stark hallways yet a very spacious lobby area with meaningful amenities. My price to value to overall assessment while considering this high-cost region is about average.

Yelp
I made a reservation (through Hotels.com) here for a reservation with free cancellation. I cancelled the room. The hotel charged me the full amount and would NEVER take my calls or call me back. After hours trying to reach the manager and Hilton corporate I gave up. TERRIBLE customer service.

Yelp
I probably came at a bad time but still, mot what I expected from a Hilton. First, there's some construction in the lobby. No problem, been through things like that and it does doesn't bother me. One of the elevators was out of service. Ok, that was a nuisance. Even though they allowed the public to use the service elevator, it was still slow get one. Of the two stairways, one was alarmed at the lobby so you couldn't use it. Of course the usable stairway was on the opposite side from where I was staying. The biggest issue was finding that there was no soap for the bathroom sink or shower gel. Luckily they were able to get me a small bar of soap. Service was overall good. Te hotel is in need of TLC. Small things such as peeling wall covering and broken outlets in the hallways show the wear and tear. The saving grace is the location. The hotel is nearby many stores and restaurants and offers close access to the freeways making it easy to travel to where you need to get to.

Yelp
Traveled to Fairfax to visit family and chose this Hilton based on Booking.com reviews. It did not disappoint! Everything was great! Upon arrival we were greeted by a very pleasant young man. He acknowledged me as a Hilton Honors member and thanked me for choosing this location. He explained that the hotel was undergoing some renovations on higher floors, so he put us on the 4th floor so we would be away from any construction noise. That was very nice, and we never had any issues with noise. The room was very nice - large, comfortable and very clean. I really like the layout with a living room area including a large sofa and separate bedroom area. Everything actually exceeded my expectations for the room. The bed was extremely comfortable. In fact, it was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on in a hotel. My only complaints... 1. Water pressure in the shower was low 2. Breakfast was not included Otherwise we really liked this hotel and will definitely stay there again when in Fairfax.

Yelp
If I could rate different components of the trip separately, I'd give customer service 5 stars and cleanliness 2 stars. We were greeted upon arrival by a very kind woman in a head dress. I wish I'd written down her name because she was so friendly and warm. At the bar and at breakfast, we were lucky to spend time with a delightful gentlemen named Prakash. Every time we came in, he was so glad to see us, and made us feel very welcomed. The cleanliness of the room was subpar. It was evident the floor had not been vacuumed as there were crumbs scattered around. Right by the entrance to the bathroom, semi-dried gum was embedded in the carpet. Not a fun thing to step in when drowsily walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Pro-tip: when booking, ask for the rate that includes breakfast. A great value!

Yelp
Nondescript hotel with a large lobby One plastic plant Looks like it is set up for large corporate business, Hotel construction blocked the entrance At night, no one answers the phone, despite saying 24 hour service. The staff is multicultural, which is nice. But most seem to be just bored or want to be somewhere else A lackluster breakfast with tasteless fruit, bland eggs, and stale bread. The latte I ordered was watered down. All in all, a very forgettable experience. Would not recommend

Yelp
Used to be a Hyatt-- now a Hilton- check in ok - keyless room - however - construction going on noise all day- no restaurant - no - bar- no newspapers- I suggest giving them a year to get it together- it's disappointing- no notice construction going on, on website- I'm stuck here for five days :(///

Kelley B.

Yelp
They lost my package that I had delivered by Amazon and wouldn't reimburse me for it. Not ok. Just said they'd look for it again. It's not there. This is the second time this has happened with a Hilton chain hotel. And there's no reimbursement when they can't find it. Just "oops" and "we're sorry". Ok. It's not YOUR hard earned money you spent, it's MINE. What a joke.

Dannielle S.

Yelp
WORST HOTEL MANAGEMENT. DO NOT STAY HERE AND LET LOW PRICES FOOL YOU. My family stayed there for my wedding and they gave a man the key to my mother's room and he walked in in the middle of the night. We've called to speak to a manager multiple times at all times of day and night and no one is ever on duty -- an assistant manager or a manager. They offered my mom 500 Hilton Honor points for a man being given a key and walking into her hotel room. I could go on about other failures throughout the weekend -- that started with me receiving texts welcoming someone with a last name I've never heard of, but the security breach and no access to talking to someone is a problem.

Gary K.

Yelp
OK spot, good rooms nice and quiet. However might want to skip this hotel for diamond members. Very unclear with what the breakfast situation is. Some staff say there's some credit for diamond members while some other staff say they don't know. Will find out and update if I get charged 50 dollars for this sad breakfast

Yelp
Decent sized room in a very convenient location. So much to see and do in the surrounding area. Many dining options, not too far from schools, and LOTS of shopping options in the area. The only bar/dining option in this hotel does close early but there are so many options within 2 miles we were not bothered. On our stay the pool was closed but we were told it would be opening up soon after renovations were complete. The rooms are updated and comfortable. We had no complaints about noise. We all slept well. There is ample parking and it's free. Happy Exploring Yeeps!!!

Yelp
Not sure why the ratings are so low. I booked and checked in with no issues. Parking was easy. Room was well stocked and clean. Everyone was very friendly. I literally had no issues and enjoyed my stay. I thought my room was quite nice, too

Yelp
Very TASTY drinks at the Fairfax Hilton. Manhattan (right) & VirGINia (left and drink of the week). Make it a point to visit & enjoy their new cocktail menu!

Yelp
I came to celebrate my 30th birthday with a treat to a nice suite at the Hilton. I reserved the panoramic suite to have a great experience and upon my arrival, the receptionist just checked me in and never told me about any wifi or about any amenities I could enjoy. None the less I went to my room and even though the room was very clean and great, there was no hot water to take a shower. Frustrated, I came back downstairs to tell the receptionists which at this point had switched out to someone else and they told me I have to turn on the sink faucet at the same time as the shower to get hot water. I was astonished as this isn't what I expect out of a Hilton hotel. I told him how aside from the room the service was lackluster and I've never heard of having to use the sink just to get hot water. He told me because the occupancy was low, hot water will take some time. ( I had left the water running for 5-8 mins and there was no temperature change) I was never told this until I complained and by then it was too late to even get ready for my special day. This Hilton location needs to fix their hot water issue or let guests know about the limitations to hot water access. It was truly disappointing and I was unsatisfied with my stay. I've been a Hilton honors member and hoped there would've been some sort of advantage to booking this hotel for my own birthday. Really disappointed in Hilton. Horrible 30th birthday experience for a place I considered a luxury.

Jules P.

Yelp
We've stayed here for many years and always been happy. The last time, however, we noticed a few things that concerned us. There was some orange mold in the corner of the shower, fingerprints all over the mirror and black grime on the light switch. Some trash in the hallway stayed there for two days. I don't expect to have the room serviced every day, but when I initially enter I do expect it to be clean. it seems Hilton is slipping a bit on cleanliness.

Yelp

Yelp
Bad housekeeping service. They do not come and clean at all. What the heck? No towels, shampoo, Kleenex, coffee, etc? This is totally bad as being Hilton and being near the capital of America.

Honey S.

Yelp
Awesome hotel. Excellent view. Best part, they love pets!!! Everyone is so friendly and the beds are comfortable. Good location.

Yelp
Really disappointed. My husband and I booked a room here because we were moving and needed to stay somewhere with our dogs while the moving company packed us up. We were told we would have a room on the first floor which was great to get the pups in and out. However, when we got there the front desk told us that our room was being worked on and we had to go up to the fourth floor. Big inconvenience right there. The hotel is big and roomy, nice that it has a full service bar, but that's where it ends. The bartender was nice and attentive to us during our stay. The elevators are slow, the lobby is worn out. Some chairs in the halls are ripped and the furniture is really outdated. The room itself was not very functional. No closet except a small spot carved out of the bathroom. There was very little functional space. A very low couch with no back and a coffee table that was too high. There was a refrigerator but it was so small there was only enough room for a few sodas. No microwave. They don't offer room service or cleaning for extended stays, they skimped on towels and paper items. The grounds were abysmal. The grass was in need of a cut and service was sketchy. There was only one person at the desk and it took us over a half an hour just to check in. There was a little store but no one ever seemed to be working there. Furniture in the room was old and chipped. And the biggest joke was that they charged us fifty dollars per night for our two house trained 10 lb dogs. I get a charge per stay, because some people are jerks and their dogs wreck the place but 50 a night? Meanwhile it was clear that the carpets in the place are never cleaned regularly.

Courtenay N.

Yelp
We booked our stay at this hotel about 6 weeks prior to our arrival. After driving the entire day, we arrived at the hotel at 6 in the evening exhausted and ready to rest. As we walked in the two men working behind the counter were chatting with each other, we stood there for 2-3 minutes before either acknowledged us. After finally being "helped" we were informed that our reservation had been cancelled. We never cancelled our reservation, we could still pull it up in our "upcoming reservations" tab in the app, the men at the counter told us there was "nothing they could do." Once we abandoned hope the reservation would be found we asked to just rebook the room, at which point we were informed the hotel was full and we would have to find another place to stay for our vacation. Completely unacceptable. Will never attempt to stay here again.

Sonya R.

Yelp
Took me 45 minutes to get a cup of coffee. I came down as 6:15 am and could not find anyone. Went to the front desk and they just pointed me back to the restaurant. I gave up and went back to my room. Went back down an hour later. Still, no one at the register to get coffee (used to have coffee self serve but not any more). Went to front desk and she went to get someone. She came back and said I don't know what to tell you. Went back to the register and finally a guy makes a cup of coffee for me only to be charged $3.00+ for a cup! I told him that I had been down twice and shouldn't be charged. He charged me anyway!

Cory S.

Yelp
Worst experience and will never stay with Hilton again nor will my company. I thought maybe just the hotel but it seems to be a company issue. Lack of professionalism, care and down right disappointing. While I never let housekeeping in to service my room I did one day. Came back to my room and important receipts were missing (thrown away) and other snacks i purchased, TOSSED and not there. Upon speaking with night manager, had to wait until the am to speak with a different manager. I was told it wasn't protocol to touch things yet this happened. Receipts don't have feet or legs so how did it go missing. Receipts were important to my travel as I needed to expense my items during a work trip and now I cannot because I don't have the physical proof or copies. Bank statements cannot be used. Spoke with the Asst general manager and again no help and no regard to help the situation. Housekeeping staff says "they didn't touch anything" so who moved it, Casper!!?? The situation gets worse when I speak with corporate customer service and again it's oh well it happened nothing we can do. Who is going to reimburse my money!? No one knows yet no action was taken to rectify the situation and even replace snacks that were thrown out that I paid for. Hilton seems to have no regard for the actual guests that stay there and will never stay with any hotel in its portfolio again. It seems some legal action needs to be taken and they continue to be dismissive and haven't handled this issue properly at all from any end. General manager has yet to reach out and I'm at a loss of hundreds of dollars at this moment because housekeeping staff decided to lie and not own up to making a mistake and the hotel covers it up!!! How far do I need to take in order to get the proper solution!!??? DONT STAY HERE OR WITH HILTON. Just to add- the overall stay sucked! It was horrible, elevator was broken many times and I got stuck on it as it jumped up and down between floors. Alarms going off 11pm at night pulling people outside with no explanation of what was going on.

Karina H.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible!!! I stayed here for two nights and it was a the worst two nights I've spent! Let's start with the noise. The receptionist said there would be construction so she recommended that I stay on the 1-6th floors so that I wouldn't hear the noise. The next day in the room all I could hear while working from home was construction being done which seemed like the room above me. Lastly check out here is at 12pm which is pretty late. I woke up early around 8 AM to pack my car and grab some breakfast so I can eat in the room and take a shower before I hit the road but to my surprise I got back and my room was being cleaned for the next guest at 10 AM. I told the cleaning lady I didn't check out yet and she replied well nothing was in the room so.... I then had no where else to go and was forced to get on the road early. I'm so disappointed in this stay and wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.
