I had contacted them beforehand and was reassured they had allergens showing on the menu - which they did. Food was amazing and prepared fresh and tasted amazing, we were staying at the hotel and chose to eat in the restaurant twice as food was so good. Friendly and helpful staff. For breakfast there was gluten free toast, gluten free cornflakes and rice cake (along with bacon, eggs, fruit, cold meats and cheeses) enjoyed our stay

Whilst this hotel is close to the train station, it is also close to the red light district. Didn't feel an unsafe walk at all, and gave us some giggles! Room is nice and spacious and shower water pressure (and heat) was spot on! Had some drinks at the bar in the evening and the staff were great, very friendly.

Nice well appointed room with large bathroom. Staff were courteous and helpful.|About 25 minutes walk from the city centre. The hotel is near the main station and parts of the surrounding area were not the best in the evening. We only stayed two nights and had no problems wandering about the area.

As others have said, it’s near the red light area but the area is pretty small (a couple blocks) and all the neighbors n makes it easy to avoid , or find if that’s your thing. The hotel itself was fine and I would stay again. Service was very friendly and helpful, the room was noticeably clean, and the location to the train station or shopping area is great. I have to calibrate room size expectations to EU norms but the room size was adequate for one person but very little extra room. It was a good business traveler room. Restaurant seemed decent if you want to stay in and the breakfast was the normal buffet. All in all, will def stay again. The Lume is a nicer hotel but terrible WiFi so working in one’s room is impossible so I’ll likely stay here moving forward.

This is my third but final stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. The hotel management must have changed - its like a completely different hotel compared to a year ago. Last time? The staff was kind, friendly and helpful. This time? HOSTILE.||I was emailing in my room when the cleaning staff came to clean my room. I let two men in...and was hit by a massive wall of body odor. I sat quietly in the corner as they performed the most superficial of cleaning. One of the men's body odor was so strong it filled the room and lingered after they left.||I called downstairs to complain. I asked for nothing. I simply wanted the front desk manager to be aware of the problem. And here is where it gets crazy...||...twenty minutes later the cleaning staff's manager knocks on my door angrily. He starts grilling me. "Who are you to criticize my staff? I check my staff before every shift! My staff is clean! You don't know what you're talking about!"||I was naked at the door. I had to say to him twice "You realize I'm naked? I'm about to take a shower. Why do you think its appropriate to scold a customer?" He wasn't done, he wouldn't stop talking. So, I closed the door on him.||I called down to talk to the front desk manager. Unlike my previous call, I'm now frustrated. It's completely inappropriate for staff to come and scold a customer. Its even more inappropriate to refuse to let me dress. The anger, pride and confrontational nature of the cleaning staff's manager is unacceptable in any corner of the world.||The desk manager apologizes and claims it is an outside agency that cleans the hotel rooms. I refrain from saying "How is this my problem? And why does he know my hotel room? Why didn't you deal with it appropriately rather than DOX me by giving him my room number?"||I say "I would like one of my two rooms free for the night." He refuses. "I can't do that. All I can do is give you a complimentary buffet for your family." I accepted.||But, I visit Frankfurt twice a year...and I will never stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt City Centre again. If he'd waived my room fee for a single night I'd have happily paid for the other nights and for my son's second room. Instead? Being cheap means I'm going somewhere else.||There were other customer service issues as well. All were small and annoying. Overall, it added up to a staff that didn't seem to have any customer service training. Whomever took over this hotel in the last year should get out of the industry. This was a great hotel a year ago.

My first impression of the hotel was not the best but they somewhat redeemed themselves by the morning. The parking spots are very tight even for me who lives in NYC. The person who checked us in was not unfriendly but just gave me an uncaring feeling. The rooms look clean at first glance until you start looking at the details. Its dirty in the corners in the room and bathroom Also a strange chose to use floor towels (which are thicker and smaller) as hand towel and use hand towels at the floor mat/towels . Not sure if this is intentional or accidental. Lastly what grosses me out the most was the water kettle provided in the room. It was still wet and covered in limescale buildup. I have stayed in much worst hotels with way cleaner kettles. If they aren’t going to cleaning it maybe just don’t provide it in the first place . If it ended here I probably would have giving the hotel a 1 star. But at checkout the morning staff seem much more nice and attentive, helped us out in explaining the parking pass situation with a smile too. There were also a good selection for breakfast. I saw some reviews complaining about the location, we didn’t mind it. It had a convenient store next door so we were able to get some late night water and snacks. Parking (although tight) it felt safe with direct access to the hotel was a plus.

The Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt City Center is a paradox, a serene island of corporate hospitality perched on the edge of Frankfurt's red-light district, a neighborhood bristling with energy, shadows, and the occasional unnerving tableau. Inside, the hotel is what you’d expect from the Hilton Garden Inn brand—clean, efficient, and almost aggressively neutral. The rooms are standard in their predictability, free from surprises either pleasant or unpleasant. Think of them as the hotel equivalent of a well-executed club sandwich: familiar, satisfying, and utterly reliable. The breakfast, however, rises above the brand’s usual offerings. It sprawls across the dining area like a well-orchestrated buffet fantasia, with enough variety to cater to jet-lagged business travelers and discerning foodies alike. Plates of flaky pastries, bowls brimming with fresh fruit, and an impressive array of hot and cold options speak to a kitchen that takes its mission seriously. The staff, particularly the reception team, are as warm and attentive as you could hope for, answering questions with a graciousness that borders on regal. It’s the sort of hospitality that feels effortless, yet you know it’s not. And then there’s the street outside. The Hilton Garden Inn’s location brings with it a gritty juxtaposition—a stone’s throw from Frankfurt's financial heart, yet directly adjacent to one of its most infamous quarters. After sunset, the area transforms into a stark theater of human extremes, with figures shuffling in the shadows, needles glinting under streetlights, and a palpable sense of unease for the uninitiated. The contrast is stark. By day, the Hilton Garden Inn is a hub of comfort and efficiency. By night, its guests may think twice before stepping beyond its doors. But for those who can compartmentalize, who can treat the city’s chaotic pulse as merely the backdrop to their stay, the hotel delivers everything one could ask for in a modern urban refuge. In the end, the Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt City Center offers not just a place to sleep but also a vivid lesson in urban contrast: safe and serene inside, gritty and raw outside. Whether that’s a plus or a minus depends entirely on your appetite for adventure.

This hotel is right by what I would consider the red light district, but not a cute tourist destination one... like a real honest to goodness red light district. Beyond that, it is a great hotel. Lovely rooms and plenty of parking. It was only a 15 minute walk to the town square.

Yelp
I travel extensively, and this Hilton Garden Inn hotel and restaurant ranks in the top 10% or better. It is a completely new level when compared to Hilton Garden Inn's in the US. There is a top shelf onsite restaurant and room service (see menu pictures). The staff is wonderful as well, and everyone spoke English as well as German. The rooms are quite nice, and include a refrigerator and safe. Next to the front desk, there is a Pantry with snacks, etc for purchase and an ice machine and microwave, which is nice for leftover takeaway. The decor and amenities are easily on par with a full service Hilton. The location is close to shops and attractions. I booked a Viator Rhine river day tour and the pick up points was less than a 10 minute walk away. I was most impressed with my dinner at the Garden Grille restaurant. I typically will search out a non-hotel restaurant for dinner. However, after looking at the menu (see pictures), I chose to dine in. I ordered the mixed fish grill. It had tuna, salmon, shrimp, mixed grill vegetables, and assorted breads and olives. Everything.was perfect. This will now be my go-to hotel in Frankfurt.

Yelp
I absolutely enjoyed my short stay here, despite of the location which has its pros and cons. Pros: Complimentary upgrade even though I was using points for my stay. Located near the main train station. Convenient store on the corner. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Room was super clean and comfortable. Cons: Crackheads everywhere. Borders the red light district (take the main street "Taunusstraße" which is where all the businesses are. Avoid the side street to avoid the riff-raff.

Yelp
Talk about exceeding standards! Our server Eddie took immaculate care of us. He took the time to describe and detail the regions where our champagne and food was from. He was extremely knowledgeable on every dish and drink that was ordered. Their menu have a great variety of food and from what our party of five ordered, everyone was impressed. If you're staying here or looking for a place to eat nearby this is the spot! Overall the experience was 10/10. Service was wonderful, food was delicious, atmosphere was relaxed but classy. I most certainly recommend it!

Yelp
Staff was extremely rude and unapologetic. GM was giving me a different story full of lies with no apology. Not happy at all with my experience. Do not recommend.

Yelp
The property is about 6 blocks from the main train station and on the edge of what seems to be a "gentrifying" area. In those 6 blocks between the hotel and the train station I saw a drug deal go down, addicts looking in the cracks of the street with sticks for drugs, rampant homelessness and a LOT of human feces. The bars around the hotel are shady too. The hotel is literally on the first good block. It's a new hotel so everything is super modern, clean and new. The rooms are great and the staff is fine. It'd be a four star review but the location is just...bad. I'm sure it'll be better as time goes on but I would not feel comfortable telling any of my single female friends to stay there.

Yelp
Very new location, not in a very nice area though. But not terrible. Clean rooms, friendly staff and they have a nice little bar near the front desk. Never made it down for breakfast but I was told it was decent. They could possibly see about setting up more cabs in the morning for guests needing to get to the Messe as that was a little confusing. Overall good and I will likely stay here again next year.

Yelp
It's not very far from a lot of the malls and shopping strips but the streets in between aren't the best. There's a lot of people asking for money and doing drugs. Streets smell like feces and piss. As far as the service goes, We had ordered breakfast (buffet was closed for safety reasons) and they "lost" our original order so we had to make a whole new order and we waited an hour an a half before we saw any of our food. We spoke to the front desk about this incident and they gave us a bunch of attitude because they had found our original order and claimed it was never lost. As far as the room goes it was clean and everything looked almost new.

Yelp
As I pulled up my taxi driver was saying that he didn't believe that there was a hotel on this block and was surprised to find it, so it's brand new. The property is in excellent condition, the workers are all newly employed perhaps so they are very friendly and happy. The restaurant is very clean and the breakfast buffet has a very large variety of hot and cold options, all freshly prepared. There are automatic espresso machines at breakfast the have about 10 varieties of coffee drinks, all fresh ground beans. The fitness center is also brand new of course and while it could use an extra weight bench and attachments for the weight machine, the cardio machines are in great condition and they also have a Concept2 rowing machine which is unusual for a hotel gym. My top floor room was very spacious (and again, clean!). The bathroom has both a rain shower and a handheld head you can switch between, as well as a towel heater. Get it new while you can!
