Overall rating: 4/5 , it is not a "must stay" place nor a great value, but it is a clean, quiet place to stay.
It was mostly good, I got a room with a whirlpool, I don't think it is quite worth a whole upgrade cost, but if they offer it for free/discounted. You definitely would not want that room if you were with kids/family, but I would say it is perfect for a couple, or if you want to relax solo (they have multiple room types in this hotel). The housekeeping policy is a bit neglectful and outdated, since it is not covid era anymore (they have a every other day sort of thing and didn't come at all during my 4 day stay, though i asked for towels passing them by in the hall and she handed them to me). I was really disappointed about the breakfast, while paying for some made-to-order items (e.g. omelet) made sense, paying *more* for pastries and cereal (it was quite literally fruit loops or some type of fruity cereal, croissants, oatmeal, melon fruits) did not. Why not make that part free and charge for the cooked-to-order ones? So I just did not bother, silly policy since there are a lot of restaurants adjacent to this hotel (mcdonalds, port of subs, starbucks, all walkable). The cleanliness is mostly good and tended to, even though the hotel is starting to look just a little bit dated, this might have been the carpets, the elevator did not have a permit they wanted to put within it which was weird for reno. The linens/textiles were clean, i would rate those 3/5 for overall comfort/material quality, etc. The toiletries were mediocre, but the whirlpool itself was very relaxing, might have been better if whirlpool rooms had upgraded toiletries or even ones you pay a la carte. The coffee/fridge/appliances of the room all worked as expected. TV was a good size, I liked that it swiveled, cable selection was kind of basic stuff. The neighborhood seems pretty solid to me, normal shopping center type stuff nearby, though you might have to travel a bit further if you want casinos like peppermill, GSR, etc, though nothing is all that far away in this town. One thing I enjoyed, being a reno native, was that this was a completely gaming-free hotel, I kind of wanted that option, since if you do want gaming there are casinos and pubs everywhere. If you are looking for a hotel with slots in the lobby, this would not be a good option for you. The hotel has a fitness center, business center, pool (which was out of order during my stay), restaurant (open till 10PM) and a mini "shop" for grab and go snacks/drinks. The overall hotel was pretty quiet, relaxed atmosphere, no annoyances or nuisances.
