Decent location. Rooms are nice. Great A/C. Water pressure was good. Microwave and fridge in room. No breakfast provided. Restaurant in lobby, and you receive a discount. Front desk usually has a line. Wait for elevators as well.

For business trips, you typically will be a repeat customer to a hotel if it satisfies your needs and can give you some of your wants. This hotel meets my needs and gives me some of my wants! Centrally located in Waikiki across from the International Marketplace and a 5 minute walk to the beach to unwind after work, the hotel is near many restaurants and yet is quiet if you need the sleep! Housekeeping (thanks Joy!) is great. Valet parking can take some time during peak hours but that's expected. Pool and bar are also relaxing and never too crowded to relax. Hope to be back for business or personal travel!

not to be dramatic but this hotel is nothing like me and my family had expected and not in a good way. Me and my family had stayed 2 night and my relatives had Hilton hotel points, one night was covered but we needed to pay 400$ for the second night. That is crazy!! this hotel also had come with nothing, valet parking was 55$ a day!! this hotel couldn’t even give free water. Breakfast isn’t even included you must pay 15$ PER person. when we had checked in we were already upset because the lady at the front desk was extremely hard to communicate and compromise with but as soon as we walked into the room we had seen that the bathroom has a sliding door with NO lock. the bathroom just has the toilet and shower and the sink is outside of the bathroom. Me and my family had also asked if we could check out just one hour late because we were going to a place somewhat far and wanted to see if we could come back. They couldn’t even do the bare minimum of letting us check out one hour late.one of the many other things that had us confused was the check out time is 11am and check in time is 3pm. 4 hour difference but we weren’t aloud to even have one extra hour in our hotel room. If you are planning to stay here for more than 2 nights this hotel is not a good fit whatsoever.

Not a bad hotel but don’t recommend for extended stays. Biggest complaint is the EXCESSIVELY loud slamming doors. Both because of how they’re designed and also the people. So good luck sleeping past like 8am. I got close to yelling at people to politely shut up because of how incredibly loud it was. I mean my walls and bed would quite literally vibrate because of how hard the slams were. Noise complaint #2. I get it there’s no smoking, great. There’s 9 million stickers and warnings throughout the hotel telling you not to. There’s always the ONE person who has 2 brain cells and does it anyway. Alerting the ENTIRE building to evacuate over the intercom at 3:14am is not necessary…..sorry it’s not, you’re out of your mind. What better way is there to piss off everybody in the building by forcing them to evacuate there rooms in a giant crowd down the stairs, because they turned off the elevators, in the middle of the night? There isn’t one. This happened like 4 times. Ridiculous. If I ever decide to come back to Hawaii it ain’t gonna be here. Staff was nice though.

WOULD AVOID AT ALL COST. I’m a lifetime diamond member who lives in a Hilton 40+ weeks of year for the past 10 years. The rooms are tired out dated and not very clean. Air conditioning barely works and the shower water is lukewarm warm and low pressure. The elevators are impossibly slow and you will spend an u reasonable about of time waiting for your elevator. They have imaginary secret smoke detectors outside that will charge you $300 in spite of never smoking or even hanging out on the patio. Just read this hotels other reviews. They found a way to hustle existing guest to make up for the downfall of tourism….just charge everyone $300. It’s pathetic really and I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a class action lawsuit. They provide no verifiable evidence and I hope they are held accountable for their illegal actions. The staff are pleasant enough but not well informed or trained on how to run a proper hotel. There are plenty of cleaner, more honest and better in Waikiki.

Google
While I would love to leave a glowing review, I must share my disappointing experience. Our stay at this hotel was generally pleasant, comfortable, convenient, and clean. However, we returned home to discover a surprising $300 charge. We called and were told it was for smoking in the room. We do not smoke and we weren’t in the room much anyway. They informed me that the charge was based on a timestamp from their smoke detectors. We’re feeling a bit helpless in disputing this claim, as it feels unjust and unsupported. Unfortunately, we are being wrongly penalized for something we did not do and are being told we have to dispute the claim with their dispute form. How do you dispute that kind of claim besides saying “we didn’t smoke in the room, and we left the room very clean each day?” The only potentially relevant source of smoke might have been the blow dryer, used for less than five minutes but produced absolutely no noticeable smoke whatsoever. Nonetheless, you should be able to use a hotel blow dryer with no issues! Additionally, during our stay, the hotel experienced a different alarm incident, which required everyone to evacuate early in the morning. We later learned it was due to someone else smoking, highlighting some apparent issues with managing smoking on the premises. I urge potential guests to read the reviews carefully before making a reservation here. After our experience and reading other similar reviews, it seems this is not an isolated incident, and I fear others may face similar unjust charges in the future. The hotel needs to address the issue with their smoking detectors falsely claiming guests are smoking in their room.

Google
The location is great. It's only a couple blocks off of Waikiki Beach. Lots of fantastic shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Service was incredible. My room a/c smelled like mildew. I asked them to change the filter and it didn't do any good. Had to buy air fresheners from the target across the street to stand being in the room.

Google
I really enjoyed my stay here! The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful, and housekeeping did an excellent job keeping the room clean each night. The rooms themselves were in great shape and offered everything I needed for a comfortable stay. To be clear, this isn’t a five-star luxury hotel—but for the price and location in Waikiki, it was a fantastic value. One added bonus was the convenience of having a store right downstairs in the lobby, which made grabbing essentials super easy. Overall, I’d absolutely recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again on a future visit!

Yelp
This hotel was the perfect stay in Waikiki! The location is super convenient, just a short walk to the beach, shopping, and great restaurants. The room was clean, spacious, and had a great balcony view of the city. The beds were super comfortable, and the amenities, like the pool and fitness center, were well-maintained. The staff was friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with recommendations. For the price and location, this place is a great value! Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay in Honolulu.

Yelp
PROS: - rooms have microwave and mini fridge - good location, across from international market place - big market connected to hotel - coffee available in am - had tour desk and help desk available CONS: - rainy times left the hallway carpets smelly - beach would be a 15 min walk

Yelp
I've stayed here at least 4x now every time I've gone to Oahu and it's a good experience all the time! It's a block back from the main Waikīkī strip but still within walking distance from just about everywhere! Prime decent location for a reasonable price point. The hotel has always been clean and everyone has always been friendly. You also get unlimited beach towels so I'm happy that I can grab 2 or 3 or maybe 4 if I need them! There is typical road noise but nothing too crazy that you can't sleep thru. It's also very convenient that Target is right in front so if you want to grab some affordable things like snacks and drinks you can just go to Target! My biggest gripe was the digital card vs the physical card. For some reason every time I used my digital card, my physical cards got deactivated. Had to get new cards every time. It was a pain. But overall, pretty affordable, decent place to stay and sleep, clean facilities and beach towels!

Yelp
Ok place to stay with a convenient location. The Amenities dont justify the 200.00 "Resort Fee" in my opinion. Staff can be friendly and rooms are adequately clean but halls and rooms can have an odd smell. Two false storm evacuation alarms were set off before 6am. Nice fully stocked mini market on property. Small pool and limited lounge chairs.

Yelp
So we traveled to Hawaii for my sons wedding . This hotel rooms are amazing we got a two bedroom suite . One bedroom with a. Door and second room has two bed for my kids . Also in middle area has couch and tv and table . Highly recommend this hotel if you have a big family . Price was very good better than a joining rooms . They have pool here . Staff was very helpful . Valet parking is 55 daily for your car . Only complaint is the bathroom shower and need a lot of towels so you don't slip on the floor but but we have a nice time

Yelp
Nice hotel across the street from the International Market Place and two blocks from the beach. You can actually just walk through the other side of the marketplace and you'll see the beach entrance. Nice lobby, access to restrooms with room key card in lobby and pool on 3rd floor. Bar at pool, restaurant and store in lobby but other stores nearby that are less pricy. I recommend Waikiki Market (see my review on their yelp page). Lobby has free Kona coffee every morning which is amazing! At check in you get discount cards for shopping and beach items. Pool has nice filtered water dispenser with ice so bring a water bottle and you don't have to buy water. Pool is small and not deep and no hot tub which is a little let down for me. Rooms are nice. I stayed on the 7th floor and had a balcony, microwave, refrigerator (no freezer) and coffee maker. Bathroom has tub but you can only use as shower (no plug). Toilet seat is heated (funny thing for Hawaii given the weather) and a Bidet! Overall nice stay and I would stay here again.

Yelp
Location, Location and Location with friendly hotel staff members! The family of four, including two small children, stayed for 5 nights in January 2025. We stayed at Hilton Waikiki last year and Hilton Village two years ago. We were very happy with what this hotel offers and we definitely come back! The hotel staff members are lovely and super helpful. We felt that we were very welcomed by them throughout our stay. The front desk made the best effort to let us check in before the check in time. After the long flight with two small children, I couldn't thank them enough! I also appreciated their responsiveness to the text messages every time we had questions or comments throughout our stay. It was great to have access to beach gears at Beach Candy, as we used it for everyday! The pool area is very cozy and my kids loved it so much. I wish there was a hot tub or jacuzzi though. We didn't use it but there is guest laundry on the 2nd floor. The market and cafe on the ground floor opens 6 am to 10:30 pm which offers various foods, drinks, and souvenirs. It was very convenient and we shopped there everyday. The room has a microwave and small fridge - huge plus especially when traveling with kids!! The room cleaning staff were amazing - when they noticed that my older daughter was sleeping on the couch area, they left additional sheets for her to be more comfortable! Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and look forward to next opportunity for us to stay here!

Yelp
This is an excellent choice if you're looking for a Hilton hotel or any hotel that is in the heart of Waikiki. It's walking distance to Luxury Row, a few yards away from the Kona Coffee Purveyors and the International Market Place, and easy access to main freeways. The rooms are decent in size and very clean. I love their housekeeping service which is on point. I requested one every day and they came in the mornings to clean my room. They fully stocked all the towels and replaced bedding's. The hotel has a laundry room in which I used. Their valet service is quick and super efficient with pulling out my car and returning; everything was fast and easy. I will say, my only complaint was that they didn't prepare our connecting room on time and so we had to wait for an hour. I did complain and ended up getting my parents a whole new room on the same floor. I was waived a few nights of the resort fees. Regardless of what happened, I'd still be happy to come back again!

Yelp
Update and maintain furniture. Exterior also needs maintenance. Also there isn't any screens on both glass doors leading to the balcony. Elevators are slow to arrive. The entrance door to my room was slamming shut. It's dangerous for young children to accidentally leave their hand on the door frame. If the doors shuts close it's possible They can break their hand from the door closing. Great Location but poor facilities layout Not a place I would recommend unless you want to stay across International Market

Yelp
Absolutely DISGUSTING! My head is pounding and have massive allergies from all the mold in this place! Smells like a run down locker room that hasn't been cleaned and the mold is growing everywhere leaving me feeling so sick! I changed rooms twice and each room was just as bad as the other. Blood stained sheets on one of the beds. In serious need of a renovation and the place gutted. Never coming back.

Yelp
I give 5 stars because of the location, directly across from international market, Kona coffee house, and famous Marugame noodle shop, and right next to a trendy grocery store Waikiki market; the cleanness, daily clean , the room was spotless; spacious room, fridge, coffee, microwave; one block away from the beach, you can do the daily walk, very friendly for pedestrians. I would come back to stay any time! We got this package from Costco travel, bravo to Costco; every thing went smoothly , from airport pick up to reminder the street closer, just like my personal travel agent! We opted out of the car rental to avoid daily $55 parking fee, the resort fee was included in the Costco package.

Yelp
Awful experience! I stayed here as a Gold member using points, and it was incredibly disappointing. The hotel is outrageously overpriced and claims to be 3 stars, but it's more like 1 or 2. I redeemed 50,000 points and still owed around $300 for TWO nights of a basic room (they offered me no upgrade despite my status. No one even acknowledged us!) The shower was a nightmare--it's a handheld unit mounted so low it kept falling off or snapping back due to the water pressure, spraying water everywhere and creating a slippery mess on the floor. We both fell! Why doesn't the hotel provide a proper showerhead? There were bugs in the drains, and the room, including the carpet, reeked of mildew and mold. Both of us have been dealing with allergies since our stay. The valet staff were rude and unhelpful. The elevators were overcrowded, and not all of them were operational. With so many hotels in Waikiki, do yourself a favor and choose literally any other option!

Yelp
One extra star for location, but otherwise this place is ROUGH. Mind you, I just stayed in an Hilton in YAKIMA WASHINGTON for HALF the price and it was SO much nicer. Anyway, check in is at 4pm... SURE you can check in early, for $75! ...our room was not ready so we took an alternate. The whole building was in bad shape. Chipped paint, scratches, see the pic of our "black out curtain" for some fun. The lobby looks like an airport where EVERY flight was canceled. Incredibly crowded.. so much so we never found a time to use the pool because every square inch is taken, AND most of the pools close at SIX pm. Avoid. Hilton, you should live up to your name.

Yelp
Five star review simply for the amazing receptionist who helped check us in. Thank you Connie for welcoming me and my family into your Hilton hotel. Exceptional service :)

Yelp
My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach was a blend of highs and lows. Let's start with the positives - the upgraded corner room on a high floor with an ocean view was an absolute delight. Waking up to the panoramic vista of the ocean was breathtaking, and it added a special touch to my stay. The room's comfort and aesthetics were on point, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of business. I do wish that my room had a desk for me to work on, the lobby wasn't the most fun place to try to do work on my computer. The on-site bar was a highlight as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the lava flow drinks, and the friendly bartenders added a warm touch to the experience. It's a great spot to unwind and soak in the Hawaiian atmosphere. However, there were a couple of downsides. My room keys kept deactivating, which became a recurring inconvenience. The staff was quick to resolve the issue each time, but it did disrupt the flow of my stay. Nothing worse than having to use the bathroom to find our card key not working and your digital key deactivated. Additionally, the valet area proved to be quite slippery in the rain, and I had a near-slip experience. It would be worth addressing this safety concern to prevent accidents and lawsuits. In summary, the Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach offers a picturesque stay with notable highlights, but attention to minor inconveniences could elevate the overall guest experience.

Yelp
Stayed here for 3 nights, 4 days and got upgraded to a partial ocean view and by that it was true, on the 16th floor. Valet was mandatory at $55/night if you drive, the driveway entrance is tight and slammed with many people with not enough staff. Our room was in good condition overall, bed was a full and was comfortable. Shower head is really powerful. Parts of the room feel dated but has a fridge, microwave, table, bench, safe, etc. Staff was pleasant and has a store and restaurant in the lobby.

Yelp
There were things I did not like about this hotel, which I will cover a little later in the review. Let's first start with what I did like. Located in the middle of Waikiki, walking distance to the beach, zoo, shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. Waikiki is a very busy place but it also offers convenience. The room was spacious, a bit dated, but most importantly, CLEAN. I'm big on just having a clean space and this certainly was. The room is dated and could use some updating, but it was clean and comfortable. The lobby has a restaurant and shop attached to it. The lobby is clean and has an updated feel. Now what I didn't like. Pricey resort fee and parking fee is expensive at I believe ~50 per day with valet being the only option. To be fair, I still have the hotel 5 stars because that's the industry average. Meaning if you stayed anywhere else around the area you should expect the same. 50 for parking seems excessive but that seems to be the going rate. It is what it is.

Yelp
I start with the good points staying here. It's located close to shops and beach . Everything is walkable.. They have a grocery store connected, and restaurant. They have a gym and not heated pool on third floor. I found most of the staff to be friendly. Now what we didn't like . They have construction working outside window very early and annoying. The pool bar is always closed day or night. The restaurant will not let you transport your drinks even though you're on the property. I'd give it 2 and half but it doesn't have that option .

Yelp
PROS: Hilton Garden is in a good location. It's right across from the International Marketplace. There is plenty of food around- both restaurants and grocery stores (Mitsuwa and Waikiki Market). Convenience and ABC stores are all around as well. The cleaners are also super nice and I felt like they did a pretty good job with everything. I also had some help from a random maintenance worker in the laundry room and appreciate that. The valet manager is very nice and dedicated to doing an excellent job. The Holo Holo is the market off to the side of the hotel and Diamond members can use their credit there. It had a nice selection of pre-made food and beverages. Very pricey though. We usually got a few pints of water here for each day. The rooms have a small refrigerator and a microwave which is convenient to warm up leftovers. It came in handy for times we just didn't want to go searching for food. CONS: We had to awkwardly check in at night because we had a later flight and this was very inconvenient as it was difficult to get the valet's attention. They must have only had one person on duty and they were probably busy. So there was nobody around to help us figure out valet when we first got there. My SO had to wait there with the car until valet was available while I went to find help. I went into the lobby to see if we could have a bellhop help us with our many luggages and totes, but front desk said they had just left. FYI- try not to check in late if you need luggage help. Front desk then didn't say anything to me while they went to talk to the manager or supervisor, and I asked if we could at least have a cart, which they needed keys for. This took awhile as they didn't seem to be unlocking well. The front desk girl had to escort us up with the cart and I felt a little bad. Also a little disappointed that as a diamond member they did not upgrade our room or even give a nice greeting. We got the tiniest room possible, no coffee table, no couch, tiniest little table ever, just a bench. Considering how long we had booked the room for (a month) AND our status I wish they had mentioned an upgrade at least when one was available. No self parking, only valet. Valet is very expensive and very inconvenient to have to wait for your vehicle and have someone else park it. I had my own car here and just had anxiety about it. The valet manager is very nice and we liked him a lot. Some of the other valets are just young and I felt like sometimes stood off to the side so it was awkward trying to grab their attention. Valet gets very very busy in the mornings and evenings. And we had to tip each time going out, which was multiple times a day. I would stay here again if it was our best option but I wouldn't be super thrilled about it.

Yelp
5 stars price for 2 stars experience. Will charge extra for everything including parking for 58$ per night. And by breakfast included they really mean just toast and coffee; anything else on the menu is at least 20$ (only covers up to $15). The bathroom got a leak so the floor is soaked after each shower. The upside is the AC is nice and quiet. Other than that wouldn't recommend

Yelp
Stayed here on a recent business trip. My room was small but comfortable and it had a nice balcony. Also had a microwave, which was handy for my leftovers. Staff was very attentive. Nice lobby set up, and a market is attached for convenience. Especially liked how easy it was to get coffee each morning. My only issue is no room service and a 55 buck a day valet charge. Whether you use it or not. That could be typical of all hotels in Waikiki, but I found it absorbant. Otherwise I liked this hotel a lot and it's right across the street from the International Market.

Yelp
This wasn't my first choice of hotels, but we were here with DD who was running the Honolulu Marathon. The marathon brings in tens of thousands of visitors, many from Japan. I've never stayed in a Hilton Garden Inn before. The room was surprisingly nice for a moderately priced hotel in a very convenient location. It's across the street from the International Marketplace, where you can get pastries from B Patisserie and good coffees. I actually stayed in this same hotel building in 1976, when it was the Outrigger East. I did not realize it was renovated just before COVID. It was nicely furnished with an upholstered bench along one wall that allowed us to open our luggage on top and store our stuff underneath. Towels were a decent size, but not thick. The duvet cover was polyester, but much better than a bedspread that doesn't get cleaned when guests check out. Bath products were ok--no allergic reaction to the industrial sized containers attached to shower wall. There is a small microwave, small refrigerator and a Keurig coffee machine. If you don't need luxury, this is a good choice for Waikiki. However parking is $55/day. The resort fee is $35/day and gives you beach towels and Bum Baby sun block on the 3rd floor. There is also a yoga class on the fourth floor.

Yelp
We arrived Being told that there was no room service only if needed.we went to the beach arriving back finding room service in our room and after they left realized my jewelry that I left on the counter in a small bag was missing the was items that sentimental value.when I talked it front desk only thing they said was sorry.the room itself was musty the air conditioning was loud wouldn't recommend this hotel .

Yelp
OMG!! This hotel is crazy terrible! None of the staff is smiling! Very bad attitude! The service is terrible! It ruined my trip. It has a good location but it's really bad.

Yelp
Was pleasantly surprised. The location was great, right across International Marketplace. Booked a room with a King Bed, they did not have any so they gave me complimentary upgrade. The room was large and we had a huge balcony all to ourselves. Most hotels aren't as generous when offering complimentary upgrades so this was a real treat. We enjoyed our stay and location so much that we extended another night. Only complaint is that one of the staff let themselves into our room without knocking first and asked if we called for housekeeping. I'm glad I wasn't in the shower when he did that!

Michelle D.

Yelp
I don't know why the rating is only 3.5 stars except there is no room service and it's in the middle of Waikiki. Not the easiest beach access although not that difficult. No great views except city and mountains. However, comfortable, friendly, and our room was nicer than expected. Love the shower. The bed was very comfortable. Amenities were great TV for a hotel, small refrigerator, microwave, and a kettle to boil water for coffee or tea. They have a Keurig coffee system but bring your own roast if you want. The creamer is powdered, and your sweetener selection is sugar or saccharin. So might want to get some at the store nearby if you want good coffee. There is also a Starbucks at the Target across the street but we don't shop target and not too crazy about Starbucks these days either.

Lawanda A.

Yelp
Treated poorly from the time we walked in. Gave us a room far away from the elevator although we had someone disabled with us. Had to change rooms because the lights were flickering in one room and the other room the battery died in the door opener and had to wait 3 hours before a technician changed the battery. There's a pattern with melanin-enriched people with this hotel!!!

James C.

Yelp
Just woken up again. It's 4 am. The valet Parker's set off the car security alarms over and over and over. I've asked why hit the alarm for each car 4,5,6,8 times. They laugh and think it's funny. They also called me and "old haole." This place is 3-4 blocks from the ocean. Homeless sleep right on the property. The staff are rude and quick to insult and actually threaten. Do not stay here!
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
I stayed here a few nights, I left my gopro max on the table in my room and went out. I came back, my Gopro max was gone. The cleaning people stole my $500 camera, it also had video of some of my experiences in Oahu that I won't be able to show my family now. The cleaning staff guy said they would look for it and let me know if he finds it, aka: I'm never seeing it again. Overall: Avoid the place, their cleaning staff are thieves.

Yelp
This week I'm staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach for a couple of nights. It's an old Hilton property which has had some renovations. It's easy to bash hotels, everyone on Yelp does. We must all keep in mind the hotel industry is just now recovering from the pandemic and most properties are not in the same condition they were 3 years ago. Let's look at what's right and wrong here. Wrong First 1. $35.00 resort surcharge per day. I get nothing out of it since I am travelling on business. I get free wi-fi and all of the other perks this surcharge includes because I am a Hilton Diamond member. Bottom line? They collect $70.00 from me for nothing. They should just increase the rate by $35.00 per day if they need the revenue. 2. Only bar option is the pool bar on the 3rd floor. Expensive for weak drinks, useless Happy Hour specials. Mai Tai for $9. was the cocktail special last night. It was too sweet for me. 3. Staff are a tad grumpy. They are supposed to welcome me as a Diamond member. This definitely did not happen. This is Hawaii - be nice to arriving guests, say Aloha or something. Right Second 1. Room is huge. I am in room 2054 and have TONS of space. Bed and linens are quite good. 2. Excellent bathroom. Great powerful hot shower, good towels and plenty of them. 3. Excellent room temperature control. 4. TONS of space for my luggage and things. 5. Keurig coffee maker, nice hot water kettle. 6. Dead quiet. Wonderful. 7. Terrific location if you want to walk to restaurants, shops. 8. And finally - EVERYTHING in the room works. It is so rare that things work in hotel rooms today. This means both engineering and housekeeping are doing their job. I will definitely consider staying here again. However, the Hilton folks need to rethink the $35.00 daily surcharge. It is not right, essentially double dipping when they have business clients with Diamond status.

Yelp
The nice thing about this hotel is the proximity to lots of good places to eat across the street and around the corner. They also happen to have a convenience store attached to the first level that is open almost all day. I was here for a wedding and it was the ideal place to stay just outside of the busier Kalakaua street but walking distance to everything in Waikiki. The hotel had great customer service, and I would stay here again in the future.

Yelp
Nice hotel. Located near shops and short distance to the beach. Staff is kind and hotel is clean. Rooms are a bit small but good if you are out and about enjoying the island.

Yelp
I had such a great stay at this hotel. Its conveniently located amidst the hustle and bustle of the city and everything is just a short walk away. Checking in was a breeze. I didn't have to check in at the front when I arrived since I had already checked in on the Hilton app on my phone. We made it on up to our room that was like on the 19th floor. We could look down onto the pool area from our balcony. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had two queen beds, a sitting area, table, fridge, coffee maker, and a balcony that had table and two chairs. Our room was cleaned out everyday and the toiletries were also restocked. Clean towels were also provided daily. The lobby area is nice and has a convenience store attached to it. There is also a restaurant that is on the opposite end of the convenience store. The employees at the front desk were very friendly and informative. The room did feel muggy and humid during most of our stay but it wasn't too uncomfortable. At night it would feel a whole lot cooler then during the day. Prices are reasonable and the location is great! -Happy Hilton Diamond member here :)

Yelp
Second time staying here. My experience was not as great compared to first time there couple years back. Pros: * Great hotel location. Convenient to everything like Waikiki Beach, international market, shopping and restaurants. Waikiki Market across the street and ABC stores few blocks away. * Friendly valet staffs and attentive cleaning staff. * Clean hotel room and bath room with coffee maker ( appreciated the Hawaiian paradise Kona coffee pods) and microwave. Strong water pressure. Cons: * Daily Resort fee. Not quite sure why we are paying this now for Wi-Fi, beach towels, and beach umbrella rental. We did not have to pay resort fees couple years back. * We stayed at a room with King bed/ city view. It was SUPER tiny for 2 adults! Only 1 desk chair. Balcony was overseeing construction area : (

Yelp
The 3 stars is purely for its location. The best location in Waikiki: right across from International Market Place. The front desk staff should be trained to have basic professionalism and hotel industry politeness. They seem quite grumpy at times. Ocassional there is a smile or a good service. Room service is slow. There is a loud noise with the AC and the elevator seemed loud. Lucky were were at 1151, not 1150, so the noise was a bit minimal. Parking is $50/night (if you buy online with your hotel reservation, it can be cheaper $35/night). Resort fee is $35/night (towels on 3rd floor, beach chairs, etc. at Beach Candy at the Twin Fin Hotel. It you walk, it is not far. But if you walk back with the beach chairs, etc. from there to the hotel, it is far. The lobby is actually very well light, nicely decorated, beautiful Christmas trees (yes there were a few along the hallway, elevator area, etc.), nice sitting area, coffee provided early morning. Sometimes, water with fruits too. Will I stay here again? Yes and No. Cannot beat this location. However with a Hilton Brand, even a medium quality, I expected more: nicer, cleaner and roomier room.

Yelp
The main entrance is on Kuhio Ave and valet parking is on Walina Ave. It's valet parking only which is $55 a night. There's only one charging station but you can go across the street to the International Market Places and park for $60 which has a lot more charging stations. Totally forgot to get a picture of my room. Not much to view from room 1052. Upon entering the room smelled like wet clothes left in the washer. Opened the balcony and sprayed my body spray helped a lot. Ryuga was very helpful at checkin and check out. There's a restaurant attached to the lobby. A rental car place around the corner from the front desk as well as an information desk. There's also a corner store connected to the lobby as well. Everything right here within reach.

Yelp
Lots of hits and misses with this location. Sadly the misses hurt more than the hits. Quality/Quantity - Overall the room was good, if you are NOT expecting service. If you are following me, you know I am in Oahu for quite some time and would need some service during my stay??? Lots of poor communication for this... Atmosphere - I believe Hilton classifies this Garden Inn as one of their middle brands...? It felt more like a lower end brand. Great location, as the family wanted to be near Waikiki Beach, everything was almost within walking distance. Or a short Uber ride. Small pool and 2 small fitness centers. The room had a fridge and room safe. The bathroom sink was separate from the shower and toilet, thank you. Bench seating with a very small table; did not appreciate that set up. Small balcony. Service - Sorry, but some of your team members do NOT belong in the front of the house. If you are NOT a people person, please move them to the BOH. I actually blame management, you need a basic customer service program. Smile, greet, listen, and respond. Actually at this point, I would just be happy with listen and respond. Here are some examples of the negatives: On the 1st day we checked in, we told them to only clean our room on the 4th day. But because nobody was going to clean our room the first few days of our stay, we asked for extra trash bags. Well, we checked out and are still waiting for them. (Yes, we asked them every day for the first 3 days, then quit calling the front desk). Additionally, on the 4th day, all they did was make our beds. The bathroom was not cleaned. In fact, our shower flooded because the drains have not been cleaned for a while. We ended up cleaning it ourselves which was disgusting. Here are some of the positives: Free coffee in the morning, too bad I did not notice it until my last day... 3 credits for beach rentals, which again I did not do a good job taking advantage of. Sun Bum sunblock by pool, I did use this often. :) Water and ice machine by pool, self service towels, pool bar with HH and daily specials, etc, thank you. Free wifi for two devices. Onsite restaurant and convenience store, which we did not use. Bag check team was fantastic. We checked in our bags at 10am and they brought them to our room the second we checked it. Parking is expensive, $50/day; we did one-day car rentals to avoid the fees and hassles. Valet parking. Price - Overpriced for the poor service we received. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1919, you have a long history.

Yelp
Checking in staff, Brian and the manager Andria are both unwelcoming and not helpful, the spirit of hospitality is nonexistent. Assigned us to a room right next to a mold infested room. We were not aware, informed nor offered to switch rooms. We only realized that we're next to it after overhearing the conversation between the housekeeping staff and the construction technicians. We started coughing and sneezing the day after we checked in. Definitely NOT recommending anyone to stay with a hotel puts customers' health at risk! Personally, I travel at least 5 times per month and stay with plenty of hotels. This one is THE WORST ever!!!!

Yelp
Our second stay here. We try to celebrate our anniversaries in Hawaii. This particular stay wasn't as comfortable as the previous one. We were placed in a smaller room, water (shower) pressure is non-existent. The water either takes forever to heat up or it's too hot that you cannot shower or you'll burn yourself. The room had a desk, chair, lounge chair, and a bench, which was nice. Last time there was long bench seating, & a couch, but no coffee table or desk to eat at, so I had to sit on the floor & used the bench seating as my table. But now that I we have a desk to eat at, the room is much smaller. The balcony makes me nervous. I can't sit outside too long to enjoy the fresh air. My Hubby & I are huge fans of TK Fire Grill. The prices are really reasonable & the happy hour is great! The service is great & all the staff is warm & friendly. The hotel is in a great location. We are right across the street from the International Marketplace & only one street over from the beach. You are only a couple blocks from nail salons, massage places & very close to the famous Marukame Udon restaurant, which always has a line & just across the street from Kona Coffee Purveyors, which always has a line as well. Close by is also the underground Asian Food Hall. Around the corner is the Coffee Shop that offers CBD infused lattes, vegan dessert options & some cute merch. There are several ABC stores around us, a cafe & convenient store right next to our hotel lobby that is accessible in the lobby. There is a pool on the 3rd floor & a bar. And there is a laundry room. This is a great hotel option for first timers to Waikiki!

Yelp
Oh man, this is the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. I wish I had checked its rating earlier, I should've known better. Stay away!!!!! When I arrived, there were 2 front desk attendants. One was busy checking in a group and the other decided to answer the phone and handle another matter for 15 minutes before getting to me, the person standing in front of him. When he finally did get to me, it took him another 17 minutes to check me in. Like most people, I had already left a credit card on file and paid, so it should've been relatively straight forward. The front desk was typing so much Into the computer it felt like I was in a SNL sketch! Like there was no way that all of that was necessary. I legit looked around to see if there was a secret camera. I had have the front desk my bell ticket for my luggage and asked home to take it to my room. When I returned to the hotel 8 hours later, my luggage still was not in the room. Instead of bringing it up, someone from bell service left a message on the room phone saying I still hadn't picked up my luggage. If they knew my room number (which they evidently had to call), why wouldn't they bring up the damn bags?!?!? I called the bell service- Closed, no answer. Then the concierge- closed, no answer. So at 11pm after a long day of sightseeing, I had to go back down to front desk and ask them about my bags. She said she had just started her shift and didn't know anything about it. She walked me over to the luggage storage room and explained that bell service stopped just a few moments earlier, so I would need to carry my own bags to the room. What am I missing here? These are just basic hotel services, no high expectations. On top of that, the rooms are average, the beds are hard and old, and the towel rack fell apart in my hand.

Yelp
The one and only thing that stands out with this hotel is the location. Other than that, it's overprice, understaffed and overrated. The worst part of this hotel is the mattresses. Bring a mattress comforter if you stay at this hotel.

Yelp
As a Hilton Diamond member I have stayed at a wide variety of properties worldwide. The good. Modern furnishings and amenities. Centrally located. The bad. Building right across the street on Walina must be under renovation. Giant dumpster in street. Roll up door and loading dock right next to it. Constant flow of vehicles with backup warning beeping and crashing of large and smaller dumpsters being rolled in/out and loaded/unloaded. Starts as early as 4am and definitely by 6am. So don't plan on sleeping in. But that's good you'll be getting up early because...the ugly. Pay $55 for valet parking. No self parking available, and it will take on average 30 minutes for them to get your car, and often a complete cluster to drop off the car with a large line of vehicles since the hotel driveway is tiny. Pack your ear plugs and plenty of patience if you stay here.

Yelp
The highlight of this hotel is by far its location, located in central Waikiki, it is right across the street from the International Market which offers a variety of shopping and restaurants. There are a ton of different restaurants within a 1 block radius of the hotel. The hotel itself has a restaurant on site called TR Fire Grill, but I would say even better is there is a convenient store (Holoholo Cafe & Market) connected to the lobby of the hotel. Holoholo offers a coffee / pastry bar in the morning and a wide variety of drinks, snacks, alcohol and souvenirs. The lobby of the hotel is fairly nice and has seats available to lounge and multiple entrances and exits including connections to the convenience store and the restaurant. The pool area is on the 3rd floor and they do have some comfortable lounge chairs and a bar (though it wasn't attended when we were there) but overall was a somewhat small pool area. There's also an area to layout for some sun that overlooks Kuhio avenue. But you're in Hawaii for christ's sake, why would you lounge or swim at the hotel pool when you have a gorgeous beach 2 short blocks away ! The elevators (even though there were 4 of them, were all pretty slow. The room while descent sized was a bit dated (the wall was painted a deep blue color which made the room feel dark and old) but it had all the essentials, desk, TV, fridge (though it wasn't cold enough to keep food cold, it may keep some drinks relatively cool). The room also had a microwave and a keurig (though we didn't try it). The shower pressure was awesomely strong (which is a plus or minus depending on who you ask). Tbh, I was a little disappointed with the hotel when I first checked in and saw the room, it was much smaller than I thought from looking at pictures, but throughout the next few days, I enjoyed our stay more and more. The housekeeping staff were excellent and kept our room clean and orderly. Getting where we wanted to go and back to the hotel was always very convenient and easy. Just given all the hotel choices there are in Waikiki and in a similar price category, its hard to say I would choose this hotel again on our next visit, but I would definitely consider it again given its proximity to things.

Yelp
I liked this hotel for many reasons. The location: it's location is at the heart of Waikiki beach. We literally walked every night to a new spot at night! The price; compared to other places. This place's price is relatively reasonable. The service: we did the valet parking, and everyday, people are so efficient and quick. The housing keeper as well. They are nice, BUT you need to call to get your room cleaned. Our room didn't get cleaned for the first two days, and then we started to call to let them know when is the best time to come and clean, but people here are very nice.

Yelp
This hotel is worth the stay , they have a pool , and the hotel is close to everything beach, food and many more, also they clean the room every day, and The bed is made and comes with a iron chair mini fridge and a holo holo market place in the hotel but come prepared because the store is expensive and comes with a tv. Over all it is the best In Waikiki.

Yelp
It's my pleasure to leave a 5 star review. Great service on the many phone calls i had with reception staff, particularly Lenni and Paul. Fantastic upgrade upon check in. Good breakfast option for Diamond elite. Only regret was staying only one night. Will definitely try to return when next staying in Waikiki.

Yelp
Booked my Hawaii trip through Costco and Hilton was one of the cheaper hotels to stay at in Waikiki beach. Location is super convenient to all the shops and restaurants/bars so that's a plus! No free self parking so if you have a car, it's $55 a day for valet parking. The building itself is very outdated and we stayed on the 15th floor, corner room. We had a "balcony" but you can't exactly sit outside to enjoy the view. There's only enough space for you to stand and look. Carpet is old and the linen on the bed is scratchy. Don't expect this to be a 5 star hotel. Once you go into the bathroom, there is a smell around the toilet and after my thorough investigation, it's actually the toilet paper. I guess it's made from recycled material. Pool on the 3rd floor but we never got to enjoy it since it was raining outside. Friendly and helpful employees! Make sure you get your free tote bag within 24 hours of check in!

Yelp
This hotel is in a great location in Waikiki- you will be directly across the street from International Market Place, near Marugame udon, Paia fish, Dukes alley. Everything is just a short stroll away. BUT it is noisy and trafficky (foot and car). Valet is a short driveway on Walina street and can get hectic at check in..lots of attendants around, altho some look too young to drive :) We checked in online and used a digital key via the Hilton app. So handy. Just go directly to your room. The digital key is needed to use the elevator but sometimes fails-seems the phone has to be very close to buttons. Its a great way to skip check in at the desk. But next time I'll get key cards- easier to share and use. Hotel has an onsite store, cafe, laundry room, keurig, microwave, mini fridge, hot water kettle and Hawaiian tropic skin products and hair dryer. Lots of outlets. Room is pretty clean, wear and tear shows on upholstery. Sink is exterior to the bathroom, shower area needs more shelves/ racks for clothes and toiletries. Dropped a star for the evacuation process at midnight during our stay. Alarms blaring directing us to leave via the stairs and there was just confusion once we were on the sidewalk. No employee to direct, give info or explain. After a few mins, we were able to go back...seems someone pulled the fire alarm? Not sure..

Yelp
Kimverley is awesome!!! She works the front desk, and she went out of her way to help me with printing something I had forgotten and needed for the next day. I couldnt believe the amount of compassion and empathy she showed me. I would go back for the beauty and convenience of this hotel, but the main reason would be for Kimverley. Thank you!
