Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/Georgetown Area

Great location... Just a walk to many restaurants, bars and shops. The service was also superb. Every employee made you feel welcome. Super fast room service ( food). The restaurant downstairs is amazing. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay. Only complaint I have is the coffee machine stopped working the second day but we had a coffee machine in the room.

My recent stay at the Hilton Washington - Georgetown was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel's location in the heart of Washington D.C. was incredibly convenient, allowing me to easily explore the city's many attractions. Beyond the hotel's own restaurant, I found a fantastic selection of dining options within walking distance, offering a diverse range of cuisines to suit every palate. I was particularly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the front desk staff. They were incredibly eager to assist me with any questions I had, offering valuable local recommendations for attractions, restaurants, and cocktail bars. Their friendly and helpful demeanor truly enhanced my stay. The only minor detail I encountered was a slight delay with valet parking for my rental car. However, this minor inconvenience was easily overshadowed by the hotel's many positive aspects. The facility itself was absolutely gorgeous and impeccably clean. My room offered a fantastic view, and with everything within walking distance, exploring the city was a breeze. Without a doubt, the Hilton Washington - Georgetown is arguably my favorite Hilton to date. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

The staff was amazing. Zonai and all the front desk employees were very friendly and extremely helpful.|As well as the wait staff at Chef Geoff’s. The rooms are a little dark, could have better lighting. Our bathroom fan did not work. The water could have been hotter for showers. The room itself was a good size. The beds were adequate. The hotel is clean. I will say the staff made up for the deficiencies. Would stay here again.

The hotel is a great value when compared to the Luxury brands across the street and around the corner. Just a few minutes walk to Georgetown and all it offers. The hotel is recently renovated and the room I stayed in was fresh, clean and welcoming. Great front desk staff ( Cynthia) some cookies in the lobby around 6 PM, and a nice gym make this a great choice in DC.

Upon arrival to the hotel I was forced to wait in the lobby for 40 minutes due to the fact they had not prepared neither of my 2 rooms. After constant back and forth with the front desk they had only given me one of the rooms for the guest. Shortly after they went to the room the front desk had told me to call them back down even though their luggage was unpacked, in order to give the key back to front desk because they made mistake. I then asked the front desk to call for the manager and the problem was he was not responding to their call. On top of that the workers at the front desk were attempting to close their shift while in the middle of helping me. After I finally got my rooms I had asked the front desk to let the manager contact me but it never happened. If my check in time was at 3pm I should have the room ready by then. When leaving I saw one of the staff members in front of the valet parking dump the coffee pot on the street of the hilton. I am not sure who's to blame first the staff or the manager.

This is my second time in this hotel with my wife, very nice to be back there. The receptionists are very attentive. I thank everyone there for their attention. Great location. Easy check-in effort with friendly staff. Room was clean and well-maintained.The experience at this establishment surpassed all our expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with an amazing atmosphere and warm hospitality. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our every need was met. The service was top-notch, with every detail carefully attended to. The food was simply outstanding, with each dish bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. Every bite was a delight to the senses! The professionalism displayed by the entire team was commendable, making our visit truly enjoyable. Without a doubt, we will be returning again and again, and we can't wait to bring the rest of our family along to share in the experience. This place has earned our highest recommendation, and we can't wait to come back for more unforgettable moments.

Incredible variety of pillows. Plenty of toilet paper and towels. The fridge was quite roomy for a mini fridge and it didn’t freeze my lettuce like many do!||Very nice and comfortable shower. I love that the towels are inside of the shower so you don’t have to let the hot air out to grab a towel! When I design my dream house I will be borrowing that idea!||Amazing staff. Hilton Honors here! Check in - A breeze. Valet $50 plus taxes per night. Pool on the penthouse floor / kids loved it!! Rooms super big / bathrooms were clean! Restaurant stayed open late so at the pool we could order and walk down to grab it. Chef Georg's restaurant was downstairs - and the food here was Great! (See separate review ). When visiting downtown DC I would recommend this hotel.

Great location and comfortable bed/room but the hotel staff is terribly rude and the security guard is very rough acting as if they get alot of trouble in the area. They treat diamonds their highest level frequent guests terribly and have more than one visit became rough and unfriendly. Very uncomfortable feeling.

This by far one of the most horrible experiences !!!! No hot water is available in room 430 and 930 is not much better at Luke warm. The manager would not take time to acknowledge me or the situation. The front desk was unresponsive. Bring your own iron and board. They aren't available!!! I suggest if you want better service reserve a room at the local jail.....they treat people better. Hilton dropped the ball at this location.

This is a pretty decent hotel in the center of Georgetown! We came for a few days to enjoy the city and be able to walk to most places. Do note that Valet parking is $50/day for regular cars and $60/day for oversized cars. The staff were helpful and friendly. Elevators are efficient and quickly come to your floor. The fitness center is surprisingly pretty big with multiple cardio equipment, some free weights, and a few machines. Rooms are pretty comfortable, however our floors were not clean or vacuumed. Small pieces of gravel were strewn across the room. The other issue is the temperature of the hotel. The elevators and hallways are extremely hot and humid as if there is no air conditioning! It's a little gross feeling that humidity and heat throughout the elevator ride and walking to your room. Once inside your room it is much better. They are connected to the Chef Geoff restaurant, so if you are a Hilton Diamond member you will get a $10/guest/day to use there. They have really good food for both breakfast and dinner so I highly recommend it!

My boyfriend and I stayed here just last week and it was so good! We walked in and were impressed by the decor, but thats the least of it. We took a red eye and they let us check in early check in which was amazing we needed the sleep. There was a happy hour we went to every night for our complimentary wine, the restaurant in the hotel was beautiful and we ordered some yummy bites to watch!

Found this place on special through travelzoo. Lobby is small but rooms are decent size. Clean and comfy beds. There's a business center and pool in the basement. Not self parking only valet available. $50 for the day or $60 overnight. Location is good. Walking distance to restaurants

Beware of this property coming from a Diamond guest who stays over 200 nights a year in Hilton Hotels. Very incompetent staff and management team. Do not trust anything they say, they proved that they have no follow through during stay as well as afterwards when addressing the situation that happened Do yourself a favor and look at other hotels in the area before booking this one. Dated rooms were the least of it. Location is decent but lots of hotels in the area. Restaurant attached was mediocre at best. I bet you'll find this review useful if you have had a similar experience as me

Quite a nice hotel! I am definitely a fan. Hilton has consistently been a decent hotel chain, and this hotel is no different. It is clean, and the price is okay for the area (it's DC, all of the hotels are going to be relatively expensive). Next time I might look at staying at another spot, as this one is a bit farther than I expected form the White House (its still close, but not within walking distance). The hotel rooms themselves are awesome. A bit on the small side, but I am still a fan. You will get a small fridge, nice beds, a great bathroom with a shower, storage room, and all of the essentials. The lobby is also great. Very modern feel. Nothing quite like going down to the lovely Hilton lobby and seeing the Chinese balloon story on the news on their huge TVs. A note on some uses of the key cards: you will need them for nearly everything. For example, do you want to use the elevator? You'll need to scan your card before doing so. It confused me at first, and I thought that the elevator was broken, but not so. You'll also need a card to enter the gym and hotel room row (not just your individual hotel room). Staff is great and friendly. I didn't eat any breakfast, and I'm not sure there is any food included. I only saw some coffee, which wasn't very good to be honest. There is a bakery nearby which you should consider visiting instead (Tatte). There is also a fitness center, which is relatively basic. You have the TVs, weights, nice treadmills, and so on. No indoor pool that I saw, maybe one that I just didn't discover. All in all, a decent hotel. It's expensive, even for the area (many other spots that are similar in quality but significantly cheaper) but it is undoubtedly a nice spot. Location is great, staff are great, cool lobby. Price is on the high side and there aren't that many amenities, though.

Clearly hotel standards have fallen off a cliff. Yes It's a pandemic, yes there's not a lot to do, but why should hotel amenities decline so sharply?? I checked in on a reservation for two nights, the front desk agents were very nice and the room appeared satisfactory and clean. Upon closer examination, the refrigerator didn't close, the freeze didn't work - my food thawed- and the televisión was antiquated (which here means had no VOD services on the year of our Lord 2021. There was no breakfast, the restaurant was closed, including the bar, and the coffee in the lobby was burnt and bitter. The bed was cozy, the linens were clean, the room was quite clean and everyone was nice but amenities help with the experience and it left quite a bit to be desired. I got good sleep though, so there's that!

Extremely disappointed by pricing variance from the one selected on the Hilton App. Slimy practice, at best.

Terrible. Switched our room to a king bed when we booked two queens because they "don't have enough clean rooms." Our friends who are currently staying there too were separated when they ordered two conjoining rooms since they had a family of 6. They put part of their family on the fifth floor and the rest on the tenth. Unacceptable!!! Do not stay here.

Pool SUCKS. It's tiny and shallow. It was convenient to have a CVS and Walgreens right across the street. Good morning quick breakfast choices close by (Tatte, Call Your Mother, and a Starbucks). Overall, good location and relatively low price was good, though.

I don't normally write reviews and I haven't stayed at the ARC hotel yet, but I felt compelled to write something about our recent visit to the hotel. My husband and I were walking by and we stopped in one evening last week. Michelle was at the front desk and she was so sweet, kind and knowledgable that we felt so welcome and really loved the little tour of the hotel too. A lovely boutique hotel with a fantastic lady at the front desk.

This is solid hotel in a good location. Location was key for me. It had been almost 20 years since I had visited and I wanted to be in a safe familiar area, close to the Metro and close to decent food and drink options. This Hilton property checked off all of those requests. The room itself was clean, with a comfortable bed, limited cable and free wifi. I wasn't there much, but I'm glad I didn't have to worry about anything. The hotel also let me have a delayed check out at no charge, which was nice. There were some small issues. There were only two people working the front desk, so it took a while to check in and out. While my room was quite clean, there was one day where nobody came to clean it. This isn't a huge deal because I was travelling solo, and I had enough towels, but it kind of stood out because this doesn't really happen at Hiltons. Last, but not least, the wifi consistently kept dropping. I know this is a first world problem, but it was a bit of a pain to keep trying to reacquire it. Some random notes that may be helpful: * The hotel is a bit hard to find. Even though it has an M Street address, the entrance is actually just around the corner on 22nd Street. The hotel also doesn't have an awning or a sign, but instead has its information stenciled on its automatic doors. I would recommend that you keep your eyes open. * The hotel advertises a rooftop pool, which is true, however it is small. If you get there after a couple of families have set up camp then there might not be any room for you. * Also on the roof, is a neat little area with some small tables and seats. It's a nice little spot where you can enjoy your take out dinner and / or a drink if you're up there and the weather is right.

Easy check in. Clean clean clean. App lobby areas and our room. Smells clean. Above average bathroom products for shower etc. variety of plug in ports for phones anc computer. And multiple plug outlets. A microwave and refrigerator. Nice bed linens and pillows. Room is smaller side but it's adequate and we had 3 adults inside. Friendly helpful staff. In room coffee and tea. What isn't to like ??

Squeaky beds and wet towels who puts a towel rack in the shower.... and at night I can smell cigarette smoke coming through the ventilation the rug in our room felt dusty like it hasn't bin properly vacuumed in a couple visits

Nice Staff! Clean Room! Nice view over M Street. Because of Covid, Housecleaning for room is Call desk when needed. They are very Accommodating! Centrally located surrounded by Restaurants , especially the one downstairs "Chef Geoff of West end" Very Good! Also try "Tatte Cafe" a block away!

Edison, the front desk supervisor is shockingly unconcerned about your needs how he made it into Hospitality. I have no idea nor does he care about anything that you may need all he cares about is whether you're checking in or checking out get rid of this guy immediately

Just one night here because it was super close to where I needed to be and the price was right. Two or three blocks to Foggy Bottom or Dupont Circle stations and with a couple of hotels on this block, there's always a populated taxi stand if that's more your speed. I picked a room on the 10th floor facing M street and from up here, it was still very quiet with no street noise. Clean and comfortable. I briefly used the wifi (it worked fine) and the fridge (cold!) but didn't turn on the TV and never went near the business center or the fitness center. Staff was friendly and the hotel was great. I'm a fan.

Although a great location I didn't realize the tapestry collection was a budget budget budget Hilton. The furniture had tears and stains on it, there was only the one bar of soap one washcloth no Kleenex one pod of coffee. At check-in I was told there is no more breakfast because of Covid but if I wanted extra towels I could have them. Seems like a ridiculous substitute. Although the website advertised parking, it was two blocks away, at a different hotel who's elevator system wasn't even working. I would have stayed at a better hotel, for less money, but they were honest and said they did not have on-site parking. See photos for stained, torn and dated furniture. Another thing, all night the room smelled like pot and in the morning pastrami.

This hotel into only refuses to cancel my reservation during the week of the inauguration... they are not even returning my calls. They claim that the no cancellation policy was clear when booking. It was not; I sent screenshots to show this. Congress has essentially eliminated tickets for the public to the inauguration, museums will be shut down, and there is the prospect of civil unrest that week. Not only that, COVID is surging. I live in LA, the current epicenter. Do they really want me coming from LA to stay on their property for 5 days? I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member using points - which means they aren't making any money on my stay. If they are treating someone with the highest status like this, how will they treat non-frequent travelers?

I rented this room and it was a two bunk bed room that slept four. Unfortunately I didn't realize that the beds were the only thing that I was renting. I had to pay $250 more for my son to stay in the room with me, and to my surprise I found out that strangers can rent out the other two beds. Think about that perfect stranger's sharing a room during Covid. If that wasn't enough they continued to price gouge me with having to pay $47.20 per night to park in their own garage. After paying 400.00 I had to pay another $188.00 for parking.The only nice thing I can say is the staff was very nice.

This is one sleek Hilton hotel. I loved the decor in the lobby. The Valet, concierge and everyone in between were welcoming, professional and helpful. Natalie provided us with recommendations on where to dine and where to get discounts as a Hilton a member. The rooms were small but cute and I loved the floor to ceiling window. Here's what I didn't like: Location: almost every other hotel in the area has a noticeable entrance, one that lends itself to drivers knowing that it's an entrance but not this one. I drove around the block 3 times before I noticed the doors. If you find the cafe deluxe restaurant, you'll find the entrance to the hotel. Parking: Parking is not cheap. (Yes I know it's DC) but $50 a night is just downright mean. My recommendation is that if you're going to charge that much, at least wash your patrons' cars!

Stinks. Literally and figuratively. Supposed restaurant does not even serve beer until 10pm, much less food. Stay at some other crappy hotel in the neighborhood.

I almost didn't stay here from reading everyone else's comments, but all and all I'm glad I did. So I'll start by saying the prices listed at the front desk as well as the website are a bit much, but if you have t-mobile Tuesday app or job perks app, use it. I paid $170 a night which I stayed for 2 nights total was about $405. As per to room, it was a bit small, but again we are in the city, so the room did us right for the 2 days we stayed, the room was clean wen we entered, bed was made, bathroom, furniture and everything else was cleaned and in order. When I was reading the comments before booking, people said things like old furniture, I mean they are old but not messed up. Just an FYI, they don't have regular cleaning service , but it was ok for me who has ocd so I just straighten up, cleaning service has to be requested the day/night before which I did, but then canceled it, I did saw and ask the maid for extra towel, toiletries etc. if your in doubt about staying, just stay it's worth a good discounter price I got. As to the parking, they were sold out/ full for parking, but who was going to pay the $50 plus tax to to that, not I. So a parked around the corner for Saturday and Sunday, then paid the meter Monday morning until check at 12, only cost me $8 to pay the meter for 4 hours. I'm not going to say parking is east to find but I did find parking on the street 2 block away, just don't forget your window open like I did, lol, nothing was stolen thou. It was a good stay, close by a lot different activities and cvs across the street was plus.

Attached is a picture of the stained sheet that was on our bed for two days, despite my showing the front desk the picture the morning after I discovered it and had to sleep with a towel covering it. When we returned to the hotel that evening I could not believe that the sheet was still on the bed. Only then, after I again went to the front desk, did housekeeping come to change the sheet. Because I insisted, all the linen was changed. Linen is supposed to be changed daily even when there is no issue! There was actually a note in our room to this effect.This came close to ruining an otherwise lovely anniversary celebration. To add insult to injury, although the website indicates that complaints will be addressed in 48 hours, it is now a week and I have heard nothing!

I was greeted with an amazing welcome and smiling face from the front desk. The rooms were clean and tidy, no hair in the bed or damage to the walls or stains in the carpet. The cafe downstairs smelled funny the first night here don't know what it was but whatever they were cooking smelled awful. There was valet parking for your vehicle coffee in the lobby and they even had warm fresh baked cookies in the lobby Friday evening. The weight was mad small but if you are creative enough one can use what they have in here. Quiet rooms and spacious bathrooms. If ya in DC COME HERE or there are two more Hotels right next door. (2201 M st NW )

Nelle at the front desk was super accommodating and friendly. She checked us in quickly so that we could get some rest after a long day of travel. I love that the keys cards don't have to be swiped. Place them next to the lock pad and the door opens. The room was big, clean and modern looking. I especially loved the lighted mirror with the ring of light around the bezel. It makes shaving super easy. There was a microwave in the room and a fridge, perfect for the leftovers we accumulated. I got two very good nights of sleep here and couldn't be happier.

This Hilton Garden Inn near Dupont Circle (don't let the Georgetown name fool you - it's barely on the border) is a perfectly fine place to crash while visiting D.C. for work or touring. The hotel staff are all exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. I'm a huge fan of the berry water they have out during the day, especially the blackberry! Don't expect any views of the city, no matter what floor you're on. We had a 10th floor/top floor room and had a great view of the better accommodations across the street... And that "roof deck" is about the size of a Manhattan studio apartment. The "rooftop pool" is around 3 feet deep and fits approximately 10 or fewer people comfortably. Don't expect to relax up there except for odd hours when families are all at museums. The hotel is in a central location and is walk-able to nearby Metro stations (about 8 minutes in any direction) and you're to the National Mall in under 30 minutes by walking or taking the train. You can even stock up on food, wine, and beer at a Trader Joe's just a few blocks away! Don't park at the hotel. It's $50 a night! We used SpotHero and parked for 48 hours a block away for $18/night. This has to be, without a doubt, the most uncomfortable hotel bed that I've ever slept on. It was Motel 6 quality - or worse. If firm beds are your jam, this is the place to sleep. If you're looking for comfort where you crash while visiting D.C., I'd strongly suggest staying elsewhere.

Hotel is not bad. But during Covid they have closed the gym and bar. But it's still the same price. We are from a part of the country that don't wear mask nor social distance. We never really shut down, and had no increase in cases. But we want a place to workout and they don't offer it anymore. But other gyms are open ‍

This hotel was really disappointing. I'm giving one star for the experience although I will mention there were members of the staff that actually did try to help us. We checked in at 1am on March 3rd. We were pretty tired from a 5 hour drive from upstate New York. Really just wanted to get to our rooms and tuck in for the night. There were already two people waiting in line at the front desk and as we were waiting two more girls walked in behind us. Definitely more people than we were expecting at this time. It was a good 30-45 minute wait before we got to our rooms. The front desk lady explained that her systems were down and she thanked us for waiting and promised to get us up to our rooms. I thought maybe it was just a glitch with her computer but didn't know the extent of it. The poor lady was rushing about manually entering information into her computer as everything was down. The systems they were using on their computers. The payment machine screens were dark and she had to make photocopies of my boyfriend's ID and credit card. The girls standing behind us in line wanted to use the phone to call their friends. The one next to the elevator wasn't working and the one at the front desk wasn't working too well either. The lady was unable to give us room keys as that machine was not working either. She had to have someone escort us to our rooms with the master key. Everything just elongated the process and the other customers were pretty irritated. Which is completely understandable. Despite the lady at the front desk doing the best she could. Not her fault that the system crapped out. With that said there were things I think that the Hilton needs to address in terms of their policies. The two girls behind us in line who wanted to use the phone were trying to get ahold of their friends. They weren't actually paying customers. I was really annoyed with this as the staff was trying to allow them to use the phone and help them but they walked ahead of the people actually in the line because they 'just wanted to use the phone.' That made the check in progress for the people in front of them longer. The customer in front of me was irritated and was vocalizing it in a discussion to his girlfriend. If they aren't paying customers and are just guests of customers shouldn't we have been tended to first? Not to mention we were already in line. Also from what it sounded like on the phone (they put it on speaker) there were already guests in the room. Aren't they supposed to limit the amount of guests? To prevent situations like this were they are using resources that they didn't pay for. Instead they were escorted to that room, ahead of all of us. When it was finally our turn to go up to our room. The elevator smelled like so much weed it was disgusting and also obviously not being addressed. Then when we finally got to our room the WiFi was also down. The next morning there was still no room key for us to use. The lady at the front desk had promised to slip it under the door when they got the system back up. I guess it was still down so we left at 8am Sunday morning for breakfast and had to return to the front desk for our room key. I thought this was the end of our problems but not by a long shot. My boyfriend checked his bank account and he was charged $214.26 which was not a inciddeposit. We had booked on the hoteltonight app and had already paid for the room. So this was an unnecessary charge. When he asked about it they said that it was a mistake and that they would take the cost of valet from this and refund him the rest. Sunday night we got to the room and our toilet was clogged we called the front desk at 10pm and asked for maintenance. No one ever came. Monday morning we needed to use the restroom, so we called at around 7am. They said maintenance would be coming to our room. After an hour we called again since no one had come yet. They explained that maintenance had left the hotel to get something and would be back. They did not come until 8:30. I used to have a positive view of Hilton because of their Hilton promise but from this experience I now see that Hilton has gone so far down hill. I understand that the staff was trying their best but I think Hilton as a whole needs to rework their hotels and update systems and policies as well as the furnishing to their hotels. The room that we received seemed very worn in terms of the furniture and drab in terms of design. They had the old hotel curtains that look like they're from the 80s and never seem to close fully. This two night stay was a nightmare and we would be hesitant to choose another Hilton location.

For a hotel that charges you 60$ for valet parking, They don't offer free WiFi. Otherwise nice hotel.

Came to this hotel after checking into the Arc and having a horrible experience there. Staff at the Hilton were very attentive, friendly and professional. Definitely will stay here again.

I love Marriott. This location is not (at all) one of their best. Rooms are very dated and drab. Hallways and facilities are in the same condition. Staff varies by person of course, but generally did the minimum they could to be helpful. Parking facility was a nightmare and I was billed for an extra day. Food options in downstairs store were sparse. I'll go back to Marriott again for sure, but not this one. Bummer.

The hotel itself is very nice and the staff is great. In my opinion however a hotel really has three major jobs. 1) Provide a decent bed. a) This bed might be the worst bed I have ever tried to sleep on . I have spent over 130 nights in hotels this year. This bed is easily the worst. Better off buying an air mattress and sleeping on the floor. 2) Hot water. a) Luke warm at best. 3) Peace and quiet. a) The lobby has a bunch of salespeople attacking you as you check in, leave, etc. It's like running a gauntlet of Time share salespeople and mall kiosks. If all Garden Inns are switching to these brick mattresses I will be done with them.

Hotel is in a great location. Centrally located, easy walk to public transportation. Hotel staff is INCREDIBLY NICE!!! They truly were so pleasant. One morning we missed the trolley to go sightseeing and headed to Starbucks to grab coffee while we waited for the next trolley. We had a brief chat with the concierge from our hotel regarding the trolley and got going to Starbucks. When the next trolley came around, he ran to Starbucks to get us so we wouldn't miss that one. Who does that?!?! Rooms were a really good size and bathrooms were comfortable. Negatives: 1. The bed. So stiff and so uncomfortable! And every time you turn or shift, the bed made loud noises. 2. The view. There isn't one. So don't spend extra on a high floor if you're looking for a view...you won't get one. 3. The shower. It's a tight space. Water pressure was good though. Overall, a good stay but I probably wouldn't stay at Hilton Garden inn next time... mostly because of the stiffness of the bed.

We stayed at this hotel from June 20-June 23rd. On the 21st, we returned to the room after being out for the day and noticed that a purse I had left in the room had been thrown on to the floor (not where I had left it), my wallet was also on the ground outside of my purse (nothing was missing), my purse was in disarray and my sunglasses were missing. We immediately went downstairs and notified the front desk, they stated that a manager would contact us to fix the situation. On Saturday the 22nd, no manager had contacted us so when we returned to the hotel for the evening I again spoke to the front desk and left another message for the manager to contact me. As we checked out on Sunday June 23rd, still no manager contact, yet now I was told they did not work over the weekend and that he would be in on Monday and would promptly give me a call. No call was ever received. When asked my review of the hotel from the Hilton team, I stated that our service received had been subpar. When I told them about the sunglasses issue, immediately no response. Today is June 27th, I have again called the hotel and again the manager was not there to speak with directly and I was forced to leave yet another voicemail. The rooms were clean and the front desk staff was friendly. However the level of guest treatment at this hotel is completely unacceptable. There are plenty other hotels within two blocks from this place that I would recommend any day over this hotel.

Pros: The property was very easy to get to, and is walking distance to many great restaurants and to Georgetown. This is a nice hotel, with modern amenities and decor. The room had a small refrigerator and microwave. Cons: The room was a bit cramped, and the bed was very uncomfortable with extremely soft pillows. There was not a lot of dresser space and only a couple of hangers in a closet that was very close to the bed. The walls and door was a bit thin because you can hear everything. The bathroom did not have a lot of space around the sink/counter or below the sink area.

Positive: -All of the staff and housekeeping were kind and helpful. -The lobby is stocked with coffee, different kinds of infused water (berries, lemon, etc.), and cookies each day. -Our room had a large floor to ceiling window, comfortable bed, and strong water pressure. -Great location, walking distance to many neighborhoods, as well as dining, walgreens, and a whole foods. Negative: -The entrance is initially difficult to find by car, and expensive at $50 a night to use their parking garage. -"Rooftop pool" is more of a shallow lap pool, with no view. Looks much worse in person than advertised. Overall, I had an excellent four night stay at this location, and would recommend it.

This Hilton Garden Inn is new on the corner of M St. and 22nd Street in Northwest. It's a convienient location because Foggy Bottom Metro, Georgetown shopping area, parts of Downtown, and Dupont Circle are all walkable. I stayed for a couple nights. Their room was spacious and comfortable, and there was free wi-fi. Rooms also had DirecTV. I had brunch at Cafe Deluxe which was right at their ground floor. Maybe because it's new but I got a pretty decent room rate on hotels.com If I'm planning to stay inside the beltway, I would stay there again on future D.C. trips.

Eh...it was okay. Pretty average feeling hotel. My husband and I had night away from the kids for the first time EVER in 6 1/2 years and I was psyched to be able to sleep in....however sleeping accommodations were not the best. However when we got to our room we adjusted our thermostat to 65 (in December) as we like to sleep in a nice cool room. There was no chance it every got that cool and I was hot the entire night...so I really didn't sleep well at all. Second there was an alarm clock that in the room that was set for 6 AM (not by me). I couldn't figure out how to turn it off and it went off three times!!! SO ANNOYING when trying to sleep in for the first time in 6 1/2 years. The hotel was overall clean. Our bathroom had a shower only and Neutrogena products. The downstairs lobby was pretty and had a cool looking fire place. Wifi was free once you stick in your room number and last time. Our room had a fridge and microwave. Valet service was $35 a night and there was a Cafe Deluxe attached to the hotel. not sure I would choose to stay here again.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. My family was lucky enough to stay here while visiting DC, and I'm so happy we decided on this particular Hilton Garden Inn. The rooms are spacious and modern, and they even come equipped with a Keurig machine. The cafe/bar downstairs had delicious food (great happy hour specials, too) and a very friendly staff. The only drawback is the rooftop pool (first world problems, I know). For such a beautiful hotel, I would think that more thought would have gone into the layout of the pool -- it is very small and not especially inviting looking.

I spend a lot of time in Hilton properties and this place is wonderful, especially for the price we paid (low by my professional experience). Pros- location, location, location and pool. What you should know about me- I travel weekly for work. I stay in many hotels and have had great and terrible experiences at Hilton's & Marriott's. This location has been fantastic and here is why (stick for the end to see some need-to-knows for novice travelers): The awesome: located near Foggy Bottom and DuPont Circle train stops. Easy as pie with a SmartPass. Also, one short mile to the Lincoln Memorial- one mile to a moving piece of America. It's also a short walk to WholeFoods where you can get a way-cheaper-&-sometimes-better dinner for family. That location near FoggyBottom stop has a place to eat as well. Great alternative to eating out all the time. What else is awesome besides location location location? Around the corner is Bread & Chocolate- great place for breakfast which is way better value and better service than restaurant in hotel which is kinda meh on the service front. What else rocks? Rooftop pool. Great for my kids and would be great without kids since open til 10PM. What you should know if you are a novice traveler- Valet costs 50bucks a day. Steep? Maybe. There is a place for $27/day half block up from hotel so you have options. Parking in US cities is expensive- park in the burbs and take train in for lowest cost and least headache. Traffic in DC is bad when it's bad. It just is. Accept it and you'll have a better stay. It's hot has hell in DC in the summer- pack a lot of clothes and water bottles. Get a eScooter app rental. Nearly every place you eat in the District will have some sort of wait. You are in a city, a highly affluent city- be prepared, this isn't your neighborhood strip mall. Breakfast isn't free at this hotel and the restaurant service seems spotty. We had an exceptional waiter but there were some folks next to us who seemed annoyed by their waiter. Lastly this is a high traffic area and hotel which has an unusually high amount of A-holes and or naive visitors. Why do I write that? The hotel staff puts up with a lot of jackassery and entitled nonsense. Be awesome to them and you will have an awesome experience. Overall, the team here seems pretty awesome to me. This is a great location.

I enjoyed my stay here - I booked through Priceline for a night in the middle of the week (for a work meeting). The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful, even calling up after I'd been there 15 mins to see if I was settled in ok (and I actually did need help with the thermostat). My room was quite large and comfortable, with great pillows on the bed and all the amenities I could need - fridge, microwave, coffee maker. I also enjoyed the free wifi. Not a great view (just another building across the street) but it was fine. I'd definitely stay here again and recommend it to other DC visitors - the quiet, central location and decent price ($181 including fees for a Tuesday night, using the Name Your Price tool) makes it a winner in my book!

I'm a little late writing this review but better late than never! I really enjoyed my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn and I'm surprised other reviewers did not have the same experience as I did. I stayed with them on New Year's Day and was a bit nervous they'd be too busy or preoccupied with the rush of holiday guests but this was not the case whatsoever. I was always greeted warmly by their staff and they were pretty accommodating with our request to check in early, check out early and hold our bags at the front desk while we went out to go shopping and eat breakfast. Yes, they don't have a parking lot for self-parking so your options are to either not bring a car, park it yourself on the street or a lot you find (pretty difficult) or pay for valet parking which was $35 for us as we stayed one night (not sure if that's the nightly rate or one-time rate). Considering we're out-of-towners we chose the later options and have no problems with the valet service. The lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn is really nice and trendy, definitely inviting to guests. I saw a lot of people meeting there as they have plenty of space for people to sit and hang out which is pretty nice. Near the front desk they have a little convenience store type of area where guest can purchase things they may have forgotten (such as hygiene products) as well as snacks and foods. This is convenient especially for when its too cold to go to the Walgreens across the street. They also have a cafe/restaurant on the first floor attached to the hotel which is a nice option if you don't feel like leaving the building. The room we stayed in was great, clean and made me feel pampered which is always a plus! We had a king size bed and had some amenities in the room such as a Keurig, mini-fridge, desk and chair, and television. I was really happy that the Keurig came with both coffee and tea! As I don't drink coffee, I'm always frustrated that places don't provide tea options so it was nice to see that they at least tried, despite it was just one pod of english breakfast tea. The view was not really impressive, just a view of other buildings in the area. I will say that it was difficult to find this hotel initially which was frustrating because it's off a one-way street so getting back to it takes some time as you can't just make a U-turn. The entrance is across from the Walgreens so pull to the opposite side of there on 22nd street! Otherwise, I liked the location as it was walking distance to the Dupont area, shops and restaurants/bars along M Street. Bottom line: I enjoyed my stay here and plan to return the next time I'm in town! I feel that it was definitely worth the price (as I felt it was reasonable during the holiday season) and recommend it to other yelpers!

My wife and I stayed here as we decided to celebrate our ten year wedding anniversary with a visit to DC and the smithsonian museums. If I could rate it higher I would. We were given a corner room on the 8th floor and it was AMAZING. The hotel was clean and the decor was modern but not "too much". We would stay here again.

Sheets smelt like bleach and bathtub was dirty! Real thin walls could hear conversations from other rooms.
