Typically, when you are on vacation... a million worries are floating through your head. Maybe it is just me being a "man of the house" but I am always worried about the hotel, noise levels, traveling from A to B, security, etc. However, Hilton Grand Vacation at SeaWorld did help in decreasing a lot of my stress.
The location is easy to find. It is near a Wawa, CVS, Walgreens, 7-11, SeaWorld, Discovery Cove, and a few restaurants. That is always a plus. Pulling up to the location, you are greeted with a security gate who will check what your purpose is... is therefore you don't have to worry about any crime or uneasy feelings. The lobby is right in front of the gate with a circular roundabout to temporarily park your car. Then, after you are checked in, you are given direction on how to find our building 1 of 10 (I believe?). My building was the farthest drive, but I didn't mind it at all. Especially since they will shuttle you around in a golf cart so you don't have to worry about driving to the pool or anything. Speaking of which, the location has 3 pool areas. Two are close together outside the main lobby and 1 near my building. The main lobby pools are pretty big and we never felt cramped. Everyone stayed within their own circle. Plus there are a few hot tubs and/or mini pools surrounding too. Plenty of chairs and shelter from the rain/sun or whatever the weather could bring.
I booked the 1 bedroom suite with a king bed and a queen sofa bed. The room itself does feel outdated but still was very clean and spacious. It was more than enough room for two people and even decent for 4 or more people. We had a kitchen with an oven, microwave, and a full fridge which was nice to stock up on drinks/soda/etc. The sofa bed had a decent-sized tv with plenty of channels which also lead the outdoor patio/lanai which had netting around to avoid bugs and a fan to keep people cool if you wanted to sit out there. The bedroom had a tub to soak in and the bathroom was a good size. There was the main door to the main area or a sliding door to the master bedroom. The shower had no door which I found a little odd and the water pressure wasn't the worst I've used but it wasn't great. I like my shower pressure and this location did not provide that. However, it is rare that any place ever does.
I did like the shuttle service. You could call from your room and they would tell you to start heading out the door. Usually was a 5-minute wait for them to arrive once I arrived from the 4th floor taking the nearby stairs. The elevators were old and took a while to arrive. However, getting back from the pool to your room could take a while. The from desk/etc were usually doing this nonstop to you had to wait sometimes. Otherwise, I was able to text from my phone for any issues which they would resolve fairly quickly. I asked for an extra pillow and bath towels, and they brought them within 10 minutes. Same for when I asked for more toilet paper.
Overall, I stayed there for 5 nights. They had housecleaning come on the 3rd night to tidy up the room and replace the towels which were very nice. I did enjoy my stay and I am sure to come back here when/if I return to Orlando.
