I had an exceptional stay at Hilton Kota Kinabalu. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The staff were incredibly welcoming and always ready to assist with a genuine smile, which made the entire experience even more pleasant. The VIP room was absolutely impressive — spacious, elegant, and beautifully maintained. The room was quiet and comfortable, with thoughtful amenities that made my stay truly relaxing. The bed was extremely comfortable, and everything was perfectly prepared to ensure a luxurious experience. The VIP Lounge access was definitely one of the highlights of my stay. The lounge offers a calm and sophisticated atmosphere, creating a perfect space to unwind in peace and privacy. The cocktail session was especially enjoyable, with a delightful selection of drinks and light bites. It was a wonderful experience to sit back, relax, and enjoy the quiet ambiance without any disturbance. The overall lounge experience felt exclusive, refined, and truly memorable. Overall, Hilton Kota Kinabalu exceeded my expectations in every way. The outstanding service, premium facilities, and excellent lounge experience make it a hotel I would gladly return to and highly recommend to others.

Not in the best spot of the “city” but grab taxis are easy to get to. Room service was the best I’ve had. I got the tiger prawns dish. Pool food was average. Towels and pool furniture were good. Lobby is a bit dark. Breakfast was decent and had a lot of variety.

Stayed at Hilton Kota Kinabalu and it was an excellent experience. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a polished yet relaxing atmosphere. The staff were professional, warm, and attentive, making the stay feel effortless. The cuisines were outstanding: from a generous breakfast spread to well-prepared dishes that cater to both local and international tastes. Every meal felt carefully done and truly enjoyable. Combined with its convenient city-centre location, the hotel really lives up to the Hilton standard. Worth every ringgit and I’d definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights in November and the experience was perfect. We were given a room on the highest floor as I think the hotel had remembered our request on a visit here the previous year. For this trip we had not made any particular request. However, upon checking in we realised that the corridor could be quite noisy cause we were along the way to the roof top swimming pool. We requested a change of room and even though they were at almost full occupancy they managed to get us a room some time later that ticked all our boxes. The attention to us, the efficiency and the effort to make us happy truly amazed me. So a good start. And it just kept getting better. Ben, a guest experience executive, recognised us and was so warm in welcoming back. How this guy who apparently is forgetful could remember us after what must be thousands of faces in a year was amazing. And everybody was just so friendly with us from the door men to the front desk executives on duty, the waiters, waitresses and managers at breakfast, housekeeping, cleaners everybody basically that we truly felt this was home to us. I really can’t tell you all the other little things that made this trip perfect cause really it would take up too much space but the fact that we will be returning to this hotel on a regular basis just to be surrounded by such wonderful people should give people an idea of how good our trip was. Finally, a special shout out to Ben, the door men on duty ( think there were 3 of them), Karen, Aiman, Kimberly, the executive chef who gave us a crash course on choosing the best seafood when eating and last but not least Herman. Best trip ever yet again (close comparison with our last trip here the previous year)

A great hotel and friendly staff. Syaniezal in particular was very friendly and helpful to us. We stayed for 4 nights. The breakfast selection was great, nice ambiance and relax. Hotel location is quite near to everywhere. Gaya street is just about 8 minutes walking distance. Borenos fried chicen is exactly at the back of the hotel and welcome seafood as well!

Great few days stay at the well located Hilton KK. But my 5 stars was based solely on services by a few notable team members. Hashima, the Guest Service Manager took note of my birthday and arranged for a pleasant surprise of a birthday hat and the words "happy birthday" written out on the bed. Vinod from the concierge was extremely helpful with helping me sort out places to eat to shit my taste.

Plush hotel with spacious rooms! We were able to fit 3 beds (king, full and a roll away) in one room for 4 people. Not everyone wants to sleep with each other. My 11 y/o daughter caught a bacterial infection from eating fruit in Hong Kong and when she got to Kota Kinabalu, she was feverish with constant diarrhea. No over the counter medicine brought down the fever or stopped the runs. We had to visit a clinic and one of the doormen suggested a good clinic (Klinic Jaya) very close to the hotel, which saved us some money. Most clinics would charge 100RM for a visit without medication. This clinic charged us 26RM and that included antibiotics! So very grateful for the doorman and for the clinic for helping us. She finally started feeling better, but that was when we were about to leave Sabah. For the most part, she was in the hotel room with room service during her stay. Despite being sick, she was well taken care of by staff.
