Secrets La Romana Resort & Spa

Our stay at Secrets La Romana in the Dominican Republic was incredible. When we arrived, we were welcomed with smiles, stunning views, and service that exceeded all expectations. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. ||What made our experience unforgettable was our personal butler, Byron. He went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. Whether it was arranging dinner reservations or checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, Byron always anticipated our needs with professionalism and genuine care. His attentiveness and kindness made us feel not only cared for, but truly valued.

We had such a wonderful experience with the Kids Club at Dreams La Romana! The entire staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and truly dedicated to making sure the children have a fun and safe time. They do their job with so much care and enthusiasm, which makes parents feel at ease and the kids excited to go back every day.||A very special mention goes to Jeicy, who goes above and beyond in everything she does. Her warmth, creativity, and genuine love for the children make a huge difference. Because of her, most of the kids want to go to the club more often and are eager to participate and interact in the different activities. She really knows how to make each child feel welcome and included.||We are so grateful for the Kids Club team ( Bienvenida , Jeicy, Rossa ,Maria Luisa,Rosita,Ana,Sorayda ) for creating such a positive and engaging environment. Our experience here at Secrets La Romana was a trip to remember! We had a 10/10 wonderful time. Everybody was very attentive, appreciative, and thoughtful. Our stay at Dreams La Romana was simply wonderful, and the staff truly made all the difference. From the moment we arrived, everyone treated us with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. A special thank you to Mayorbanex at Coastal Grill, who went above and beyond with his attentive service and friendly personality. Every meal with him felt personal and memorable. We also want to recognize Rey Mariano at the buffet, whose welcoming smile and excellent attention made each dining experience smooth and enjoyable. Beyond these standouts, the housekeeping team, servers, and entertainment staff consistently impressed us with their dedication and kindness. It’s clear that the entire team takes great pride in making guests feel valued. Dreams La Romana is not only a beautiful resort, it’s the incredible people who create unforgettable moments. We can’t wait to return!

One of the best parts of the resort is the gym. Very well equipated and preserved. Rodolfo Alejandro is a very good professor. He's always ready to help who needs, in every possible ways. Very funny and professional guy. I really recomend training with him.

Great first stay in the Dominican. Overall very impressed. Ultra clean hotel ( staff constantly cleaning and bleaching from 8 am until 10 pm) big up Caesar and his lookalike round the pool these guys are such happy hard working young men. Next up The beach- the waves seem to churn up the sand dreams end (side) so can look a little brown ish this isn’t the case 5 minutes walk to the left just past the local restaurant bits where the water is crystal clear go out by the rope and theres coral and lots of fish to see and on certain days lots of locals who are all so kind and sweet dont be put off these guys and girls are so sweet and lovely. Unlike other carribean places walking the beach you don’t get heckled which is a nice change not that it bothers me because I like to interact just makes a nice change. No seaweed along the beach compared to the rest of the island. This hotel needs to praise 2 workers in particular. EDWARD at moustache (the French) this young man was an absolute diamond and such a kind soul. His etiquette from serving drinks to my wife first taking her plate first her order first pulling her chair out the full works shows total respect and care this bloke would make an outstanding butler in the future or deffo needs some extra praise. Next is the wonderful WILLIAM this man’s smile could light up the room. A gentle man that was always waiting with a smile and a hello family. Even writing us a little note on our last day thanking us for visiting the island and a few small keepsake key rings as a token gift for us. He really is a little star our boys said he’s a cross between notorious big and Tyrone from snatch😂. Our boys older boys virtually adults lol enjoyed the water park and pool in the new sports bar ( very smart place great cocktails). We are a family by the pool by 8 am and felt for a while we had this place to ourself. Always beds to find yes certain spots get taken but thats standard some people like certain spots us included its no biggy plus we noticed always empty beds on beach and never overcrowded anywhere. We also loved how this hotel didn’t seemed to have the yobbish drinking culture to it which again gave a lovely relaxed peaceful stay ( please don’t think that’s a snobbish view because trust me I’m no snob because I’m deffo not just getting older ) the rooms were always kept clean and tidy by the maids daily. The coffee shop is a great addition with great treats and great cold coffees was always our first call after breakfast on our way to the pool. The food especially in coastal grill and moustache was always great our son loved the Italian also even eating there the last night on his own😂❤️. We have stayed alot in the carribean at lovely hotels and this one was the cleanest by far and we do stay at some nice places!. We stayed within the closure of the buffet and although a small inconvenience wasnt a biggy as its the hotel chain making improvements too what is already a great hotel so will only get better. Loved the dress code for the restaurant waiters very smart. Very impressed with dreams/secrets hotel chain seems a level above some of the royalton and bahia group. If we were going to say a negative it would be the language barriers at times was hard. It seemed very tailored for spanish and yes i do know they speak spanish but they do in mexico but we never had the same issue. This again is only a minor and should definitely not put you off this hotel because we were impressed.

This trip was absolutely amazing thanks to the very friendly staff all round! Good vibes and smiles everywhere. For the animation special thumbs up for Maria Reyes and Juliana those girls are loving what they do and this shows! The food is excellent I did a lot of all in in the DR but the Hilton exceeds my expectations! Also the hygiene is impeccable which was very important to me. Overall don t look any further for a perfect holiday with quality and good vibes! Enjoy!

My wife and I had an enjoyable stay at this adult-only resort. We chose to upgrade to butler service for $199, and it was worth it. The resort is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, with exclusive access to restaurants and amenities just for Secrets guests. We also had the option to explore the neighboring Dreams resort for more dining options. They have a friendly and beautiful people staff, special thanks to: • Victor Val, our butler. • Johanna Napoleon, the lobby bartender. • Bienvenido Reyes, Caoba buffet fish grill person. • Patricia Hernandez, hostess at Chinola Restaurant. • Karina Adolfo and Melvin Gerrero at Caoba buffet. • Francisco, the VIP lounge bartender. The beach is rocky, so I recommend using water shoes. The evening entertainment felt a bit underwhelming.
