I just got back from an eight day stay at Secrets La Romana with good friends. The overall experience was better than our stay at Secrets Punta Cana a couple of years ago. First of all the beach water is walk right in warm. And I didn’t want to ever get out. The sand is the softest I have ever encountered, like powder. However, the beach during New Year’s week was crowded and the chaise lounges were one next to the other. You had to get to the beach early to get the location you wanted, whether sun or shade, close to the water or further back. We were in a preferred room which gave us a separate area on the beach from the non-preferred room upgrade. I don’t know how crowded the other areas were. And although there’s no sampling or vaping allowed in the beach, unfortunately there are some who don’t follow rules. The food was better than we expected. Noor was our favorite. Because some of us have particular dietary restrictions, the chef came out to make sure he knew how to prepare our food. Going the extra mile reassured us that the meals were prepared to our needs. We didn’t have a bad meal the whole trip. The rooms were nice, not luxurious. It had all the amenities we needed. And, of course, we didn’t spend much time in the room other than to dress and sleep. But the best part of our vacation was our butler, Yoel Almonte. I highly recommend asking for butler service and Yoel in particular. Most importantly, he’s a really nice guy, very personable and warm. He was attentive to our needs bringing us a cooler with drinks and fruit on the beach each day, remembering what we liked and didn’t like, making dinner reservations and making sure our hotel experience was top notch. The vacation would not have been the same without Yoel.

fantastic adults-only all-inclusive resort. Secrets is set in a beautiful location and offers a perfect mix of relaxation and activity. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice and very good quality, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout our stay. We also really enjoyed the activities included in the price, such as sailing, stand up paddling, and kayaking – a great bonus that made the experience even better. A wonderful place for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. Highly recommended.

Truly one of the most stunning location and beach I have ever been too. I really feel I should mention that has a ambulatory wheelchair users the resort felt very accessible and also very welcoming as a disabled individual (as long as you get a ground floor room). Moreover a truly honorary mention to our butler Byron who went above and beyond during our whole stay and helping my (now) fiancee with our surprise engagement dinner! Also giant thanks to Solo our waiter during said engagement who also went above and beyond with his service and taking pictures. Overall the resort was amazing, staff were very nice, food was amazing to me our standard although we aren’t picky; expecially appreciated to freshly squeezed juice every morning and giant jar or nutella🍹🍫 My biggest appreciation is no vendors bothering you on the beach. Be sure to enjoy the water activities, water park and spa!🏄‍♀️

We had a great time at the resort. Beautiful beach, great service, nice entertainment, overall a good time, rooms are large, modern and clean. I would add more food variety but otherwise it was great and we had no upset stomachs (which is a great bonus). We would come back!

Have enjoyed this hotel over 7 times - the staff are welcoming and the service reflects this. It is a quiet area of the DR which suited me just fine. The food is plentiful and decent - the new El Camino Southwestern restaurant is not quite up to scratch yet, tried it on a staff members recommendation and was disappointed with both the service and the quality of the food. I’m sure they will get it right. Would like to thank Laura Ortiz at Premium Guest Services, David Sanchez’s the buffet, Santa in the Japanese restaurant, and Belgica Mecido at the beach.

First of all, I would like to express my personal thanks to the Manager Ms Nairobi for turning a small issue – which can happen even in the best tourist organizations – into a brilliant, efficient and very fast solution, thanks to her professionalism, promptness and great availability. I felt it was important to make this personal mention. Regarding the overall organization, services, gastronomy and room cleanliness, I would like to confirm my sincere compliments. Having already stayed in the same Secrets resort in Punta Cana before, I can say that once again the service fully met the high standards of the Secrets brand. Congratulations to the entire staff

We had a lovely time here at Secrets! Lovely staff, very clean and well kept, all pools were great and the beach was a true highlight to the trip. One of the best beaches I've seen! We also had some great food at a few of the restraunts, the buffet was pretty average and could do with upgrading the quality here, but we particularly enjoyed Mare, Sakura (highly recommend the Rendang curry!) and Noor. These were the most consistent so we went back a few times and avoided the buffet most of the time. We enjoyed the options to paddle board and kayak too and managed to see a few sting rays and turtles too!

My husband and I stayed for 6 days, 5 nights. We had a great time.||Highlights:||Dinner at NOOR. |The chef is from India, some of the best Indian food I’ve had outside of India. ||Scores Sports Bar.|Pool and tv’s with variety of European/latin soccer and US sports. Big hit for my husband to get his football fix in. Great specialty cocktails.||Preferred Club Pool and Beach.|Staff was very attentive and friendly. Especially enjoyed Olga, Raul and Roselyn. Never had to reserve a chair early, plenty to go around. The water and beach is stunning, a light aqua color and sooo warm. We had so much enjoying the great swim area.||Things to note that we felt could be improved: |1) Size of rooms, found them to be a tad small. |2) breakfast and lunch menu items for preferred were lacking and not our favorite.||These things by no means ruined our amazing vacation. ||Overall would recommend, and would book again in the future. ||If you don’t enjoy being around children don’t venture to the dreams restraunt, beach or pool.
