I spent a lot of times in US with Hilton so decided to stay in this hotel for my first business trip to Mandalay. Because the hotel didn’t accept Amex, I had to book through a travel agency which could process my card. At time I showed up for check-in, the reception insisted that I wouldn’t have any points for this stay because of agency booking, and denied my access to the Executive Lounge even though I had a Diamond status.
I got a room with pool view, which was okay, however, its furniture looked so old, few of them was like 50 years ago. And once I saw a long black strand of hair in toilet bowl, I decided to give this 1 star because it is unacceptable for a 5-star hotel.
