We came to Munich to celebrate our anniversary. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special. Loved the executive lounge and elaborate breakfast offered. Location is ideal for exploring the city. Highly recommend this hotel. Best hotel I’ve been to in quite some time. I can’t say enough great things about the service and our stay. I can’t imagine a better experience.

Google
Best part of this hotel is the excellent location. Close to river, the park, subway station and walking distance to many excellent restaurants in the area. However room was nothing great for the price and don't expect smiles from all the staff members. Their breakfast for executive rooms was nothing fancy and had small selection specially for vegetarians.

We enjoyed our stay! It was less than 10 minute cab ride to Marienplatz. We stayed on the Executive floor and the executive lounge offered a good European breakfast that was filling enough for us. The rooms are spacious and clean.||Cabs are always outside waiting to take you where you want to go. We had a car and parking was just under the hotel. Easy access to freeways to get you out of the city and exploring.

This is my first stay, and I would return due to the friendly staff, central location, and comfortable room. The Executive upgrade was much appreciated as a loyal Hilton Gold member. It was convenient to have access to the metro and shops (Aldi, db, HIT) directly from the hotel via an elevator between the bar and restaurant. The happy hour and breakfast were perfect to fuel our day or wind down before dinner. We look forward to returning!

We stayed here at the end of a month long trip that took us to eight countries. The hotel is probably about 40 years old but it has been recently updated. Excellent accommodations. Located a short distance from the Isar river and connected to an U Bahn station it is very easy to get into central Munich. This hotel and the now Holiday Inn (formerly the Penta) are located in the same part of town. In addition to the U Bahn station there is several restaurants and shops just down the street. Breakfast was included in our room rate and it was very good, with a number of dishes including Bavarian weisswurst. We also ate the first night at the hotel, an excellent t meal and good beverages. Prices at the hotel were very reasonable considering this is a large city and the tourist season. The last time I stayed here was probably 15 years ago when I was here on business and it still is clean and efficient. I used to stay often near the main train station but with the ongoing construction, this area is far more pleasant.

Probably one of the cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in. So glad there was a little shop in the lobby to purchase drinks and snacks and a lounge on the 5th floor where we stayed that had a wonderful breakfast spread and a happy hour for free drinks. TOP 3: 1. Very quiet. 2. Grocery stores across the street. 3. Public transit (S-bahn) directly outside the hotel.

Google
A spotlessly clean and perfectly serviceable in town Hilton. We’ve been to better executive lounges, but the service at this one made up for some lackluster choices in food. There was nice Bavarian hospitality at breakfast and the staff were efficient as one would expect. We would certainly use this hotel again for a visit to Munich.

Google
Always a pleasure at this Hilton property. We recently spent 5 nights here. The rooms and service are always consistent. As a Hilton Diamond member, we had access to the Executive Floor and Lounge. The hotel is perfectly situated for an easy walk into the main tourist area AND the S-Bahn (which goes to the aeroport) is located directly below. Great conveniences! Special mention to Jade at the Front Desk who made us feel very welcome and to Giovanna in the breakfast restaurant. They even have a special seating area for breakfast just for the Diamond Members-- nice touch! Nochmals vielen Dank und bis bald in Muenchen!

Yelp
Great hotel. Clean, modern and close to supermarkets like Hit, Aldi and restaurants. The lobby was decorated well. Love the furnitures. The only set back was 1 mile away from Marienplatz square by walking. Uber 8 mins . Our room was great. The white linen the space and complimentary coffee and tea. We are staying here for 2 nights . Great place

Yelp
The staff here is AMAZING!! They went ABOVE & BEYOND!!!! Laura at the front desk is professional, FRIENDLY, WELCOMKNG and all around lovely!! The manager came to our room to fix our door within minutes. STAY HERE! You will NOT be disappointed.

Yelp
Stayed a could of nights while in town. Location was perfect. 4 stops on S-burn from the central station. Only 2 stations away to Marienplatz. Just about 30 minutes train on S-8 to the airport. Service and room was standard Hilton. Executive lounge is open and happy hour was 5-7pm serving pre-prepared plate. Breakfast was served at Mona. Buffet style.

Yelp
Classic Hilton rooms but for the American traveler, I would not recommend. I am traveling for work and have stayed at several Hilton properties. At 10:30 am room service is unavailable. Tried to call concierge and front desk with questions several times at same time and NO ANSWER. Not even a call back as to "we missed your call". You can't attach a firestick to the tv, not even mirror your tablet or phone. For this brand that is absurd. Only available English channels are news. Clearly not a location for the standard American traveler. Would not come to this property when traveling for personal.

Yelp
This is a beautiful and modern hotel. This was our home for 9 days while in Munich so we got very used to this space and the surrounding areas. Breakfast at Mona is very good. Lots to choose from and friendly staff roaming around keeping everything well-stocked. They had a large selection of cereals and fruit and pastries as well as hot food and made to order omelettes. Good quality with tons of seating inside. I wish they had more rotation (it never ever changes at all) with some of the items, like fresh fruits that change day to day or different flavored pastries, just something to break it up. Otherwise, it's nice. Our room was small but modern and well appointed with USB plugs by the bed and comfy pillows. It's a huge hotel with a conference center but staff were easygoing and accommodating when we had an issue with our first room and needed to switch. The front desk was also very kind and helped us with giving change and make dinner reservations. The location is excellent within easy walking distance to old town, tons of restaurants, and an S-Bahn train entrance right out of the hotel lobby via elevator. You can't beat that! It's about a 20-minute walk to Marienplatz and a 9 minute train/subway ride on the S-bahn. Upon arrival, I requested early check-in at 11am and the room was ready and waiting. It was my birthday the following day and they brought me a delicious cake and some sweets that day as well with a note. The hotel bar opens at 5pm and is open until around 1am I believe and it was busy and popular. It's classy in decor and is understated and elegant with candlelight and a nice bar and comfy seating. They sometimes had live music and the outdoor patio is also a great place for sitting and talking with friends or co-workers. All-in-all, I highly recommend this hotel as I was able to find many places to eat nearby, enjoy the public transit easily with an underground entrance from the hotel lobby to the trains, go for jogs, and enjoy excellent customer service. The cleaning staff were also excellent. 9 days is an exceedingly long time to stay in any hotel - and I have almost no complaints about this one so that is saying something! Would stay here again during a visit to Munich in a heartbeat!

Yelp
I've been staying here for many many years but it has been a while since I've been here. The hotel is very fresh and updated. We got our rooms quickly. The room is large and beautiful. Bed is comfortable. Everything is very clean. Definitely would recommend staying here. There are lots of stores and restaurants in the area. Easy walk to the Marienplatz and Hofbräuhaus.

Yelp
This Hilton was super nice. The rooms were wonderful, the bed was confortable and the bathroom was very clean. The restaurant and bar was excellent and the breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious. Every single employee was kind and helpful. It was in a great location with respect to tons of restaurants, shopping and tourist attractions. Although it's doubtful that we will return (we weren't especially fond of the city itself), I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Yelp
I cannot complain about this hotel. I had an executive king bed room. The executive lounge on the 5th floor is a nice place to chill if you're looking to get out of your room for a bit. Soft drinks, coffee, snack, and water available while they are open. They add beer, wine, a soup and some small bites to eat during the 5-7pm happy hour. No complaints there either. The breakfast that is included is offered a "continental" and it's just that. Scrambled and hard boiled eggs along with bread, meat, cheeses and jams and jellies. I stayed at the Hilton Airport location just up the road also in Munich and that executive lounge had hash browns, bacon, and two kinds of sausage available for breakfast. The breakfast at this location just leaves a little be desired. By no means does this take away from the overall experience. The hotel is attached to a S Bahn station which is awesome. If you're coming from the airport take the S8 and you'll be there in 30 minutes. Being attached to the transit you're not far from anything at any time. My only two criticisms would be, I wish the water in the shower would get hotter, and the room was serviced and the housekeeper opened the window. Since the window was left open, my room was freezing when we returned. We didn't know the window was opened and spent like 3 hours messing with the thermostat wondering why it would never turn on. I eventually figured it out and found the window had been opened. No biggie though. Nice staff, clean property. No show stoppers. 100% would recommend.

Yelp
I chose this hotel for a 1 night stay prior to a river cruise. I was so happy when we emerged from the subway after a long travel day to see the hotel directly across the street. The hotel is clean and modern, and the people at the front desk were all helpful and delightful. The woman who checked us in gave us a suggestion for a place with traditional Bavarian food for dinner and later made reservations for us. The hosted happy hour for Diamond members was nicer than others I've experienced in hotels. The pours were extremely generous, and the plated appetizers was just the right size for a nice snack. The only drawback - and it's a big one - is the bed. Good lord, it was a step up from sleeping on the floor. My husband and I have a firm bed at home, but this was a whole other level. We were both in pain the next day. If the bed was comfier, I'd consider this a five star visit.

Yelp
We had an excellent stay at this hotel in Munich. The hotel feels very clean, organized with a lot of nice touches. The Breakfast Buffet is excellent with lots of choices and outstanding service. This is an outstanding choice for travelers taking the S-Bahn, because you can enter the train station from the lobby- very convenient. I loved the bathtub! All employees we encountered were very polite. A STANDOUT was Bridget in the lounge. REGINA at Reception also excellent. She was efficient and friendly. We would definitely stay here again while in Munich.

Yelp
This has been the best hotel I stayed at during my Germany tour. We were happy to see the bed was finally one bed instead of two twins pushed together. The location is excellent, within walking distance of restaurants and a train station. Marienplatz is 20 minutes walking distance and there's a nice park you can run in or explore beer gardens as well. The included breakfast is very nice, a big selection of cold cuts and cheese, bread, made to order omelette, espresso machine, and fresh fruits. The staff are amazing as well, quickly seating us and offering coffee. Plates are quickly cleared away and we were checked on even during short breakfast visits. They do offer takeout cups for coffee, you just have to ask the front desk. Other great amenities are the 24h gym. Their gym has a peloton, several new treadmills, full weight machine and free weights, towels for borrowing and front desk has earbuds if you need them. It was always clean and fully stocked with towels when I went in the mornings. If you have the opportunity, ask for a room with a view. Ours looked at other rooms and the back of a warehouse. Room service was consistently wonderful as well and our room was always cleaned in the morning by the time we came back from our excursion. Protip there is access from inside the hotel to the subway station and grocery stores across the street. There's no need to go outside in the heat and do the long walk across the street to get to the mall. Overall I would stay here again.

Yelp
The hotel is nicely appointed and the staff is nice and helpful. The location is fair as it was a 25 minute walk to the old town plaza. The breakfast was fine, but not as good as the five other hotels we stayed at, including the Hilton in Berlin. It was disappointing that there was no ice except through room service, no coffee or tea and the only news station in English was BBC. Tim

Yelp
I can't believe I never reviewed this place. I stayed here when in Munich for Oktoberfest and I used points for the room. The location is great, with direct access to the S-Bahn. I was able to zip right here from the airport on the tube and it was super easy. The room was small and spartan, but comfortable and met my needs. The whole property was clean. Staff was friendly enough. There is a gym on site and that was good. It was also close to the river where there are running trails so that's something that is close by and easy to do as well. There are some nearby stores and restaurants if you want a snack. It's very easy to get anywhere in town via the underground. I will definitely stay here again.

Tony T.

Yelp
Modern and exceptional clean room. Room has heavy enforced door to prevent force breaking in. Elevator has safety features such as requiring you to use your room key to access your floor etc. Breakfast buffet has good number of choices.

Regina M.

Yelp
December 10, 2021 my husband and I checked in for a Four (4) day stay after a 10 hour flight. Our taxi ride from the airport was very pricey, and not required. Underground takes you Straight to the Hotel. Our greeting hostess "Jade" was very kind, professional and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and neat. Location was perfect and in walking distance to everything we wanted to see. But remember underground is right there if needed. Breakfast staff and food was fabulous! I looked forward to it every morning Evening Hour cocktails and tapa snacks were a great surprise every evening. Our evening host was very kind and thoughtful he even remember our favorite cocktails. I highly recommend this Hotel! Thank you Hilton in Munich Germany.

Yelp
Arrived at the hotel at 7:30am and they let me check into the room which was very nice as I was tired from the long flight. The room was spacious and modern. The hotel is connected to the train station. The executive lounge has drink and snacks all day as well as breakfast and happy hour. It's walking distance to the main city area and located in the convenient location. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good! I'll definitely stay here again.

Yelp
The air conditioner actually worked! In Europe-a working air conditioner. It was glorious!!! Apparently, all of Europe is unaware of the use of a single bed sheet. Every hotel, including this one provides a very thick and heavy comforter. So, if that's too hot for you-you simply go without any covers. The breakfast buffet was good as well. I would stay here again. I'll just bring my own sheet.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a convenient hotel to the train, with access from inside the hotel, making it nice for times of inclement weather. We were there for the Christmas markets and nice to see one just a block from the hotel, making it nice for a quick hop out for festivities. The staff was all nice from the check in to check out. The rooms are spacious and kept immaculate. There are two restaurants to chose from if not wanting to go back out, if the day has been long. The breakfast was nice with something for everyone.

Yelp
Easily the best Hilton I've ever stayed at. While I did get a friends and family discount, the staff here have been nothing but nice. We initially stayed here for my husbands work trip & I decided to continue our stay here because it was in a great area. Louis, at the front desk was so helpful when we were initially checking out and said we had a reso later in the day under my name rather than for business. I didn't want to try and combine reservations in the beginning, especially in another country because 1. That's an annoyance and 2. It's not always easy to do so we were just like whatever it's no big deal.I didn't think it was worth mentioning. Shockingly, he right away, without saying anything, offered to keep us in the same room and just said to leave our luggage and the room would be cleaned for us. It made things so much easier and was really appreciated. There's easy access parking downstairs. There's a beautiful garden sitting area outside for eating and drinking. The bar is great but a tad expensive. We did go a few nights but those bartenders get slammed so while service may seem slow, they're just busy making these insane signature drinks. When on the "business" side of our reservation, I ended up staying in the room most days to catch up on sleep and reading. Every day at 2, housekeeping would call to ask if I wanted it. I didn't, but the fact that they still called later in the day to double check (and whomever was the caller in housekeeping was SO NICE) it was greatly appreciated. My husband even said he'd stay here again and he's 100% not a hotel person. They made a trip to another country so comfortable and really, just a great Hilton hotel in general.

Yelp
Ok, so I'm an American girl through and through. With that being said, I like the "when in Rome..." saying. I would not typically stay in an American branded hotel when traveling abroad but since we are traveling as a group this is what we get. The hotel staff was great. The gal who checked us in (Katrina) was SO friendly and helpful and welcoming. It's rare that you get someone who actually doesn't make you feel like you owe them your life for allowing you to check in early!!! High 5 to this lovely lady! The room was fine but not what one would expect from a Hilton. The room appeared to be clean on the surface however it wasn't up to our standards (pain in the ass American, right?). Since we moved rooms I was able to see 2 of them. They are pleasantly decorated with a really nice traditional wood floor entry. On to the bathroom. The size is adequate and what one would expect however both bathrooms we saw are in need of grout repair. There was mold and missing grout all over. Kinda gross. The room just needs a deep cleaning. The flatscreen TV was an added benefit as we were able to hook up our iPad and catch up on our missed tv shows. God knows, can't be without our Walking Dead!!! Our room came with an awesome European style hot breakfast. It was great. Had everything you would would expect and more!

Yelp
This hotel was conveniently located for exploring Old Munich by foot. There was a parking garage, which was convenient, but there was an extra daily charge. There was also an extra charge for breakfast. As far as convenience and helpfulness of the staff (Miriam at the registration counter was outstanding!!!! So helpful, eager to serve, and pleasant, and attentive!), this hotel would be a 5. Staff also could speak English, which was also a plus. Room was reasonably clean and modern. So, lost a star for the following: The room could have used some attention...the vanity mirror was unattached when we arrived, with the missing screw and washers lying on the countertop. The bathroom door did not close completely, and could not be locked. The room was hot at night, despite us turning the thermostat as low as possible. There were windows, but we hesitated to open due to noise from the street below. Although the room seemed clean, there was a good-sized wad of hair in the corner behind the bathroom door. The hotel restaurant was expensive, so we opted to buy our breakfast from a shop across the street.

Yelp
We stayed twice at this hotel and in both cases the service was outstanding, especially reception and restaurant staff. They all went above and beyond to make sure we got what we needed, staff was friendly and willing to help. Breakfast was included for diamond members, it offered a variety of delicious options, including fresh made omelets (very similar to Hilton Berlin and better than Embassy in the States). Location is perfect, next to the metro station. Hotel is located a few minutes from Old Town, a couple of stations on metro.

Ryan F.

Yelp
If you're looking for a quiet, regenerative stay, avoid this tourist trap. Yes, it is centrally located. However, Munich's vast and inexpensive light rail system conveniently connects you to plenty of peaceful countryside hotels who are not catering to inconsiderate party groups who keep slamming doors all night long and kids running through hallways unsupervised.

Yelp
This describes a stay at the suite. As far as European hotels go, this is very well above average. Strengths: 1. location in the city with interesting areas within close proximity 2. s-bahn is in close proximity, shopping center across the street 3. surrounded by cool restaurants 4. the hotel itself has a great restaurant 5. there is a bar at the lobby (woohoo!) 6. very friendly and helpful staff from the moment we walked in the door! 7. sign up for club access -- free breakfast at the rooftop and all-day snack bar 8. very helpful concierge 9. clean 10. efficient bell service Downsides: 1. Not very good views 2. Internet is free at the lobby, but paid from the rooms That's it really, it was a good experience. Interesting Trivia: On this site once stood the Buergerbräukeller, a beer hall with an infamous history as it was the site of Hitler's failed 1923 Beer Hall Putsch.

Yelp
Good hotel. Loved the location. Concierge was dead on with his restaurant recommendations, especially the nearby ones. Executive Lounge good for working inbetween meals. Food good. Lobby bar well staffed and can get a drink easily. Restaurant in lobby has great service. Actually everyone was nice and friendly. Room very bright. Desk conducive for working.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE! Construction ALL DAY ! Banging, drills, saw at 7:40am. The manager promised to let us sleep until 10:30am and at 9 am the noise started sgain. WEPAID FOR A ROOM UNTIL CHECKOUT! This hotel is not a real HILTON AND does not honor their contract with the guest! We want a full refund... will sdvise!

Yelp
Ok this hotel caters to business folks and tour groups which makes for a weird mix at times, especially during the breakfast buffet rush hour. Except for some level of imperfection there, this hotel is the perfect place to stay at. Not cheap and you literally have to pay for everything (88 euros for 7 days Internet access or 20 euros per day, 20 euros per breakfast if you prepay at check-in...). But the location is awesome: on the S bahn so you can go everywhere in a jiffy including the airport. Service from all the staff, from check-in to cleaning crew, concierge, restaurant is impeccable. Rooms are rather large for Europe with amenities you would expect for a Hilton. The breakfast buffet will get you started on the right foot in the morning, no doubt (just time it right so you don't have to fight with the tour groups). Overall a good stay, with good comfortable beds and quiet rooms.

Yelp
The BEST location!! you have the subway that stops right below this hotel, all you need to do is just go up on the escalators, walk up the stairs toward Hilton and you're right at their lobby - how convenient is that?! Getting to this hotel from the airport is easy too! you just hop onto the S8 after a few stops, you're there. Across the hotel, there are supermarkets where you can get some snacks and other german goodies. You don't even need to cross the street, just go through the subway stations; it's connected! You don't need to worry about the rain. The staffs are nice and the hotel rooms are clean and modern. The rooms are spacious. We got a king size bed, but really they just put two twins together. Our package came with complimentary breakfast in the morning and the breakfast was great! I love their coffee machine and their variety of teas and juices. The food is good too: omelette station, variety of cheeses and cured meats, smoked salmon, sausages and bacons, bread selections were good too! Every morning, i look forward to the buffet breakfast. (i dont think i have ever gotten this excited for breakfast buffets at other Hiltons I have stayed at -- it just means it is THAT good!) I like the fact that you can buy your train / subway tickets at the concierge. You don't need to go to the station to get your tickets. we were here for oktoberfest and the fest was located at Theresienwiese and it's so convenient to get there. Just hop on to one of the S Bahn and switched at one stop and you're there. Going back to the hotel from oktoberfest was just as easy. It was great, no need to walk outside on the street.. all underground from point A to point B. We didn't have to worry about weather condition. I will definitely stay here again if I visit munich.
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
The hotel is actually very nice. Very comfortable with a nice executive lounge. Rooms were clean. Area is close to the city and Oktoberfest and airport. Sadly the room service food was horrible and food from the hotel horrible. It was probably the worst food I've had in a Munich (been here over 20 times). So if you are on business and have to have hotel food for meetings or just too busy, this place is a bummer for that. There are lots of choices to eat nearby though so I wouldn't count it out. Also, the concierge did recommend a nice restaurant but he was not a nice guy to interact with so this also makes me give lower marks. The concierge should not make you grumpy!
google avatar

K D.

Yelp
Clean and welcoming staff. Concierge is knowledgeable and can sell subway tickets to guests. Hotel is on top of the subway station. It has a dedicated elevator to the subway and grocery store across the street. There is a walking distance Christmas market from the hotel. Munich's big Christmas market is two subway stops away. Modern amenities. Clean room. Great breakfast . Combo of hot and cold items.

Yelp
My experience here was Excellent from the moment I arrived until I left. I was first greeted by a very nice lady, I believe her name was Dariana. Even though we were quite early they had our room ready and sent up our roll away quickly. Throughout our stay she was very pleasant and took care of all of our questions and needs. Also, the Concierge, Nat, was extremely helpful. He book a few bus trips for me and boys and also helped with metro questions. In fact every single person we came into contact with was VERY helpful and nice. I am returning to Munich in a few days and will again be staying here because of the service.

Yelp
I loved everything about this hotel. It was an easy s- baun ride from the Munich airport. Once you get off at your stop, you walk upstairs to the hotel lobby. The hotel was clean and quiet. My husband and I enjoyed the executive lounge and fitness center. OK, I enjoyed the fitness center, my husband slept in. The staff was very courteous and helpful. It was a short walk to the old town center or an easy subway ride. We would definitely stay here again. When we joined our tour group, we had to move to the Westin but, we missed the Hilton. Oh, the breakfast buffet was fabulous too!
google avatar

Yelp
Great hotel in the city. A little off the beaten path but that's a good thing in my opinion. The U-bahn is under the hotel so it's so easy to take a train wherever you want to go in the city. I have stayed here in 2012 and 2016 and both times were very nice.
google avatar

Yelp
I've had better. The hotel is great. The front desk staff not so much. I have never been treated so rudely as a Diamond for life than I have being here. I will continue to stay here but to interact with them as little as possible. Such bitches.

Cyrill K.

Yelp
Nice and new hotel. The hotel is a bit a quieter neighborhood, but still in walking distances to the Marienplatz (25min walk). Overall great staff. I can recommend the bar. The barkeepers are great. The hotel is close the a few nice restaurants. I would go back

Yelp
I wish Yelp allowed half stars because this hotel really is a 3.5. The rooms are very large, unusual for Europe. The location of the hotel could not be better. It is located next to the Rosenheimer Platz S-Bahn station. In fact, there is a secret tunnel/staircase/corridor that you can take from the hotel (over by the bar area) and down to the station. Transportation on the S and U Bahn is very easy. Since the hotel is located on what I would consider the "main S-Bahn drag," you can pretty much take any S-Bahn train to make your way over to the tourist attractions (Marienplatz, Hackerbruke, and Karlplatz to change trains to get to Oktoberfest). The executive lounge is nice. They offer happy hour from 6-8 and also have a hot breakfast. One thing that we learned was that the air conditioning does not turn on unless the outside temperature is above 18 degrees celcius. This was problematic as the sun beat into our room all day long, making the room very hot, yet since the external temperature was below 18 degrees, our air conditioner never turned on. On the second day of heat, we contacted the hotel and this is how we learned of this stupid rule. I understand the concept of wanting to conserve energy, however, they should take into account their guests comfort and the fact that the sun warms the rooms, making the temperature quite uncomfortable. My advice to anyone staying here is to ensure that your curtains are closed (however, this is somewhat impossible since housekeeping will open them and leave the sheer curtain shut).

Yelp
Moutassaem was the most helpful employee. Gave me plenty options for delivery. Exactly what you want from a Hilton employee.

Yelp
The Hilton Munich City has the benefit of being located right next to the Rosenheimer Platz S-Bahn station which is a quick 2 stops away from Marienplatz where you can transfer to most of the other S-Bahn or U-Bahn lines that run through Munich. English Garden, Allianz Arena, BMW Welt, it's all pretty much a few dozen minutes away by the highly efficient and timely German railway. However, other than it's proximity to the S-Bahn station, there's just not much else in the immediate area of this HIlton. There are a few local restaurants, shops, markets and bakeries, you're just around the corner from the alley of Italian restaurants off Steinstrasse. The Deutsches Museum is a short 10 minute walk away but otherwise, the area is decidedly dreary and industrial. The hotel itself was perfectly fine. Rooms were clean, new, modern, and comfortable. Ice machines were available on every floor and there is a restaurant in the lobby. Expensive paid Wi-Fi is available but is, of course, free for Hilton HHonors Gold and Diamond members. Staff was friendly. The fitness center on Level 5 was incredible - with dumbbells, machines, treadbills, elliptical, stationary bike, and plenty of space. The morning breakfast spread was large and German and amazing. There really isn't much to criticize about this hotel other than the location leaves something to be desired for the high price being paid to stay here. But the convenience of the S-Bahn station just steps outside the lobby doors does make up for a lot.

Yelp
Just finished a 7-night vacation here. UNBELIEVABLE location! Right on top of the S-Bahn (Rosenheimer stop) and you never have to go outside to access the elevator and hotel. Very friendly checkin with Philip at the HH counter. Staff speaks English very well. All of staff was extremely warm and friendly (except Nat at concierge. Still trying to figure out why management puts this grumpy man in such an important customer-service position). As a HH Gold member, we were upgraded to 5th floor (top) with Executive Lounge. Daily breakfast was very good and filling. Nice assortment of eggs, meats, breads and juices. There is also an evening reception in the HH honors lounge that includes a few appetizers and alcohol. I emailed the hotel before arrival to get an early checkin at about 10am. We arrived a bit early and our room was READY! What a pleasant surprise after traveling the previous 18 hours. Within minutes of getting into our room, we were surprised with champagne and fresh fruit. They must have known about our wedding anniversary :) TOTALLY AWESOME! We had a king size executive room. Plenty of space for the two of us. Bathroom was nice and provided all the amenities that we needed. Overall, I highly recommend this Hilton Hotel. Management has done a great job training their team on the importance of high quality service. We plan on coming back on our next Munich vacation.

Yelp
What will make your stay here is having club access. With that comes indulgence, pretty much all day. Makes it worth it when you want a cup of coffee, mid-day snack, coke, water, fruit, etc... No club access? Average hotel. Nothing special to see from the hotel windows or do in the hotel itself.

Yelp
Certainly one of the better hotels I have stayed in. There is a feeling that most things are carefully thought out, from the small heated square in the mirror to stop it steaming up, being useless to the incredible ease of access to the local mini-supermarket and s-bahn. Of course, all the good does make the minor kinks stand out. The restaurant, while the food was of a high standard the kitchen obviously couldn't cope and we waited nearly 45 mins for a main course. The bar, for a bar in the centre of Bavaria, has a pretty poor selection of beer; Lowenbrau, Becks, and their special guest beer...Heineken. However it did have pretty much every cocktail under the sun if you were happy to pay €9.90 a pop. They also seem to have a problem with pillows, I have never been to a hotel which only give one per person and non spare in the room, of course the concierge sent more when asked, but I would prefer not to have to ask. Minor nitpicks in an overall excellent experience. A well deserved 4 stars, it would be 4.4 if stars were decimal.

Yelp
Great Hotel close to it all. Waking distance to everything...Best of all the S is right down stairs. I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Yelp
This is the WORSE Hilton I have ever seen! The bedroom, wallpaper falling off the walls! The beds were old and wore out! Carpet is dirty and furniture looked beat up and the chair was dirty and stain! We took one look and refused to stay! The hotel people were nice and understood why we wanted to run out of their Hotel! They did find us another Hotel for the night! They need to knock it down and rebuild! Don't be fooled into staying here!

Yelp
As an HHonors Diamond, this hotel is not up to Hilton standards. Pros: Staff was nice, we found the Executive Lounge buffet better than we expected. Cons: Rooms were tired, dirty, and flat out skeevy. We had 2 rooms. First room was OK, but second had filthy chair and filthy sheets, with what appeared to be food or EAR WAX on them. We refused this room and were given another, it was clean enough but still weary, and you could see the effects of time if you looked. The bummer is I burned 100k points for these 2 rooms, which takes me 3 months of travel to earn. This hotel needs serious investment to meet Hilton standards. Not recommended.

Yelp
After a very long day going to the Neuschwanstein Castle, we decided to hit up the Hilton on the way back to our hotel and grab a nice dinner. LOEWENSCHAENKE RESTAURANT in the Hilton serves Bavarian specialties and we loved the meals we got. The service was superb, the wine was delicious and we both had steaks with Bavarian sides. Surprisingly we found the restaurant to be exceptional for a hotel restaurant. Would definitely go again.

Yelp
This is the hotel that all American Hilton Brands should strive to be. I spend more than half a year, at least, living in Hilton Hotels all over the world. Most of them located in America. I would love for this hotel to be the standard bearer for all of them. A breakfast that puts all to shame. It has station access to the train. There is plenty of shopping readily available within walking range. The staff are very courteous. If you have to stay in Munich. I cannot recommend a better place.

Yelp
As a Hilton Diamond member, I am quite picky about hotels. The Hilton is no better than others and I am only impressed with how nice and convenient it is located. The subway station is accessible via an on-premises elevator to the lower tunnel and so you can access pretty much anywhere in metro Munich. The rooms are fine but nothing to brag about. I had an inside court yard room and so it was very quiet with no traffic noise. The lounge is OK but again nothing to brag about. And forget about eating in the hotel.

Yelp
OK, but not on par with other Hiltons I have stayed at and not at full price if you have to pay it! Air conditioning in the room is a joke and none-smoking room smells of smoke piped in from somewhere in the building. Concierge botched up restaurant reservation and displayed huge attitude. Room looks generally tired with dinged walls and old bathroom outfitting.
