I was in Nairobi for a few days.
The staff (security and also the restaurant staff in the evening) were very friendly! The reception team should work a little on their friendliness.
Unfortunately, the restaurant team was very slow, there were very few guests, sometimes only 2 or 3 people in the restaurant, but you had to wait longer. after you received the menu, it took 10 minutes until you could place your order.
the rooms are very worn. the food is really tasty and the beer is cold.
There are no signs to put on the door, so it happened that room service stood in the room 3 times and asked me if he should clean the room....while I was still in bed!
my beer bottles, which i only drank half of, were left there and stood around for days, they are probably still there today.
why the bad rating: i am a hilton honors diamond member and i asked for an upgrade. i was told i had to pay for the upgrade (!!!!!!!!!!). you have to imagine ... this statement is already a cheek! after i contacted the hilton honors diamond desk they told me that they informed the hotel and that someone would get back to me ..... i am still waiting for this ... and it's been a month since my trip.
that's one way to scare away your diamond members!
