"Hilton Paris Opéra Hilton’s reentry into the heart of Paris is nothing short of majestic. After a $50 million design overhaul, the 125-year-old hotel, made for the 1889 World’s Fair, has been revived to its 19th-century splendor with a contemporary twist. Formerly the Grand Hotel Terminus and the Concorde Opéra Paris , the property’s landmark status—with its Haussmannian facade and elegant public spaces—demanded it be painstakingly preserved. Among the restored, original elements, the most awe-inspiring are the Corinthian columns, chandeliers, balustrades, hand-painted frescoes, and marble and mosaic tiling. Fortunately, the bar takes pride of place among them, making it the ideal spot to start your stay with a cocktail or glass of wine. The style in each of the rooms breaks with the traditional stark-white modern codes of most business hotels. Here it incorporates warm accent colors and textiles. With few heritage elements left to preserve, the sense of place is woven in with custom etchings of iconic Paris scenes hung behind each bed. But you won’t be spending much time here, as the action happens in the grand salon."

I Traveled to Paris on Low-cost Airline French Bee — Here's What It Was Like

"The Hilton Paris Opera, located near the Galeries Lafayette and the Louvre, is set in an opulently restored 1889 building. A glass of Champagne in Le Grand Salon was the perfect introduction to the hotel." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Beautiful hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful. The location is sensational, I loved being near the shopping centers. I appreciated the metro being right behind the hotel. It made getting around Paris super easy. It was also very nice not having to walk so much after a long day back to the hotel from the metro. The rooms themselves were super comfortable. The beds were plush and felt like sleeping on clouds. It was very quiet overall, not much noise disruptions. The breakfast was very delicious. We only had it one day because we were trying to venture out and try new things around Paris but the day we had it, it did not disappoint. Overall, the hotel made our honeymoon very memorable and special. Highly recommend it!

Amazing hotel. The lobby, lounge and rooms are beautiful. The executive lounge had a nice breakfast and happy hour. It always had an assortment of drinks and fruit available throughout the day. The lobby lounge had awesome cocktails and a relaxing vibe. The staff was attentive and courteous. Excellent location to the train, shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and professional. The concierge staff arranged transportation for us to and from the airport. Overall a great hotel

This hotel was a beauty. Nice staff. Great lounge. Multi-lingual staff.. and a great breakfast. Situated near everything. And the rates weren’t terrible. This may be the place I come back to again and again.

Great location, Metro within walking distance, can walk to many of Paris' local attractions. Restaurants nearby. Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Lovely rain shower in bathroom. Decent wifi. Breakfast selection was good and tasty. I really like the lobby bar with its old-world feel.

OUTSTANDING HOTEL! I worked with the hotel staff to arrange a visit for my granddaughter and her college roommate. My granddaughter told me that everything was just superb. The room was immaculately clean and comfortable. The restaurant meals were plentiful and delicious. The hotel location was so convenient for what they wanted to see in Paris. The hotel personnel were most kind and courteous. Moreover, my granddaughter felt safe at the hotel.

The hotel’s lobby is nice and new, but the rooms are just as old. The reception staff look sharp but have no authority to make any decisions, and the customer relations team only seems interested in money and payments. Even if your family is facing a disaster, they go out of their way to collect the full payment for the rooms you booked.

Stayed here for a family vacation. The room was not ready by 4pm, and they only gave us drink coupons to apologize. Standard room was like $700 per night, so this was not cheap. I know it’s Paris, but the rooms were tiny and the walls/doors were old. The bathroom was remodeled and the furniture was fine. Plenty of usb ports. I know it is loud in cities, but if you are a light sleeper, you will need earplugs because of the honking and yelling from the street. ||Location is the main advantage, as you are right at the St Lazare train and metro stations. It is 10 min to major sites like Eiffel Tower and Champs Elysees. Plenty of decent restaurants nearby. Printemps and Lafayette stores on Haussman are walkable. ||Transport to the airports is hard from this location, and if you take taxi, it will be like 60 euro and up, and traffic is terrible.||Daily included breakfast was good but not great. Limited seating. The executive lounge is nice if you are feeling cramped in the room and want some coffee or snacks. The ground floor lobby is not spacious and air conditioning is not so strong. The bell staff were great. ||I am a Hilton gold member, but probably would not return.

Overall, this hotel was great: excellent rooms, thorough housekeeping staff, and a tasty breakfast. It is located next door to Saint-Lazare station and a short walk from Galleries Lafayette Hausmann.|The reason for a one-star review is the worst interaction I have ever had with a Hilton employee, and I have had a lot because as Diamond members, we stay at Hilton properties almost exclusively when we travel. |On our last day in Paris, we returned to the hotel to catch a cab to the airport to stay at the Hilton CDG before flying out the next morning (we stayed at six different Hiltons on this trip). I asked the bellman (Mohand) for our bags from the luggage hold. He offered to call a cab, but I told him I planned to use the G7 app to get a van. He persisted so I relented and said that was fine, so long as it was a G7. He nodded that he understood.|He told us to take a seat while we waited. 15 minutes later, I noticed a G7 van sitting with the taxis outside the hotel and asked him why we couldn’t use that one. He said he had already called one for us. I started to try and talk to the G7 driver, but Mohand pointed and said the van he called was coming. As I looked at the van, I asked him where the G7 logo was, and he said it was on the other side, but as the van turned I could see it was not a G7. I confronted him about this, and he started backtracking, asking why I needed a G7 because this was a very good driver. He LIED to me about calling a G7.|Well, the reason I wanted a G7, Mohand, is because the Parisian taxi you called charged us 85 euros from the right bank to CDG, while the app quoted me 65 euros (consistent with what I’d read before coming to Paris). If my family hadn’t been waiting 20 minutes by that point, I would have refused the ride. And, you got a tip on top of that!|I’m disappointed in Hilton and this hotel. This is not the type of service I have come to expect. I can tell you one thing: I’ll get my own cab next time!

Yelp
I was greatly disappointed to learn upon check-in that the executive lounge for diamond members was unavailable due to a private buyout. (Our stay was smack during the 2024 Paris Olympics) This should've been communicated to us prior to us booking the room. However, in light of the lounge not being available to us, the hotel did provide us with vouchers for two drinks per day. The drinks were wine and beer only. We were disappointed that spirits were not included. While the hotel is lovely in its history, decor and convenient train accessibility location, I would warn potential occupants that due to the nature of the train location, you hear and feel the rumbling each time the trains go by. While the trains and transportation are underground, you still do feel and hear it. Our room location was on the first level and we could feel and hear everything. I'm not sure if this applies to higher levels. The hotel only goes up to level five. The location of the hotel is in a very active area and a noisy area of town as well. I would not recommend this hotel if you're looking for a relaxing stay. However, if you're here for business or if you need to get in and out of the city, this would be your location. Plentiful shopping and dining opportunities surround the hotel. Our room was a king bedded room. It was for European standards, a good size however, it was super tight at the end of the bed as there was a desk and chair at that location. As we could not squeeze by, we pulled the chair out and set it aside. The room came with another chair and a table so the two chairs opposite the table served as our mini living area. While the hotel touts itself as a newly refurbished property, the bed was hard as a rock. The bathroom was very large, but only one sink. The bathroom was large enough to definitely accommodate two sinks. A nice powerful showerhead as well as a rain showerhead. No tub, walk-in shower only, two nightstands on either side of the bed, each with a drawer. A refrigerator is included as well as a coffee maker. Good sized hanging closet area and safe. On several occasions, we also relied on local transportation, which included Lyft and Bolt; Paris' equivalent of Uber? Every time we used those methods of transportation, the drivers would never pull up in front of the hotel. They would've inevitably be across the street or down the same street and in a different location. I don't know if this was due to dumb drivers or a combination of dumb drivers, and their inability to get to the front of the hotel? Either way, it was extremely frustrating and we were constantly being billed a wait fee for them being in the wrong location or playing frogger and taking our own lives in our hands and crossing a very busy street to get to the opposite side. I digress, this is not a review on the methods of transportation. The hotel offers a lovely breakfast. The bar is nice and open with plenty of seating. We did not use any of the workout facilities, nor did we have any type of dinner service in the hotel. As Hilton owners, I probably would stay elsewhere on our next visit to Paris. This is a lovely experience, but I believe there are other Hilton opportunities to partake.

Yelp
While the staff at this Hilton Paris Opera Hotel were incredibly professional, friendly, and always greeted us with a smile, our overall experience was far below expectations for a Hilton property as this hotel is in desperate need of renovation and updates. To begin, upon arrival, although we had already planned to use our credit card for the entire trip, we exchanged USD for Euros at the hotel, just to have a small amount of Euros for incidentals. But we were extremely shocked to receive only 16 Euros for $20 USD--well below the current market rate. We completely understand there should be a convenience fee, but this felt like an excessive fee and Hilton should not be using this to "make" money on its guests. When we arrived at the room, we were immediately disappointed at the size of the room for the price we paid. We upgraded our room and paid over $800 USD per night for a Junior King Suite, but the room was so small, our teenage son had to sleep on a fold-out bed placed in front of the bathroom door, by the hotel staff. The room was cramped and uncomfortable, and the view was non-existent, facing only the interior side of the hotel exterior, which kept the room dark all day. To make matters worse, the carpet was stained, and the flooring underneath the carpet was loose and unsafe. I frequently tripped over dips and raised areas in the floor (covered by the carpet), and the loud creaking when walking woke everyone at night. The room also had a stale smell, likely due to the carpet and there was a leftover sandwich in the refrigerator, which was missed by housekeeping. Even though we had a winter trip, the room remained uncomfortably warm, with no way to adjust the temperature, because the central air wasn't working. We also purchased the breakfast package, but it was an extreme disappointment. It was a buffet style breakfast, but there was no heat source underneath the food items, so everything was cold, and the meats were tough and dry. It was obvious that the meats (bacon and sausage) were being reheated numerous times and reused from previous days. Since we had access to the executive lounge, we decided to try it out for breakfast, but the room was small and there was so many people in there, it was also obvious that guests that did not purchase the executive package were allowed access because the staff left the door open for their own convivence as the restocked the food items in the lounge. By day two, we gave up on the hotel breakfast and opted to eat out at local restaurants instead, which was an unexpected expense. Overall, the Hilton Paris Opera did not meet the standard we expected from Hilton. Despite the excellent staff, the hotel's condition and services were disappointing, so we would not stay here again, and unfortunately cannot recommend it for your stay in Paris.

Yelp
Wow best Hilton we have stayed at in Paris! Concierge knowledgeable They booked 4 food experiences and all outstanding. Also booked my nephews great tour guide for louvre All staff we met outstanding. I took a tumble trying to get to executive lounge. 2 ladies working in breakfast area attended to me straight away. Brought me a ice pack and we're so fantastic

Yelp
This place STINKS! The smell in our room was so bad we had to change to another room, and the hotel refunded more than 400 euros because the odor was so foul. They charge luxury hotel prices but the place is overcrowded and unhygienic. Having breakfast at the hotel is like eating a meal on the subway. Coffee machines are mysteriously broken. Hotel staff watch idly as double cappuccinos overflow their mugs and spill onto the floor. Scary moms with screaming kids elbow other guests aside in a desperate fight for the last piece of smoked ham. If you want an elegant Paris experience this is simply not it.

Yelp
This place was absolutely stunning. My husband and I spent 1 night for my birthday and Teo at the front desk was the most kind human I have ever met. He made us feel more than welcome. He wished me happy birthday, told us about local drinks to try and made sure our room was perfect. The drinks at the hotel are amazing along with the entirety of the staff. Thank you for making my first trip to Paris the most memorable.

Yelp
The staff is nice, respectful and tries to be helpful. However, they are not very good at what they do. For example, I ran out of liquid soap in the bathroom and it took two days to refill. The hotel's hallways are worn and need to be renovated. The carpets in the common areas are heavily stained. Breakfast is included, but it is not particularly good (watery eggs, grisly ham and burnt sausages, for example). The bar on the main floor is very nice with very good service. The neighborhood is a bit on the seedy side with homeless panhandling and walking back and forth. However, it is located in a convenient area, so you can walk to major sites, which is a plus since traffic in Paris is horrendous.

Yelp
Stayed here for my first trip to Paris and I was extremely happy about it. Great location, excellent staff, the restaurant food was delicious and the room exceeded my expectations. Heated floors for the win! Bonus points for the concierge. He booked Louvre tickets for me and then emailed them to me last minute after I left them in the room. I will be returning on my next trip to Paris!

Yelp
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! We are very reasonable people and have had a wonderful time in and around Paris. Yesterday, we checked in to the Hilton Paris Opera. Upon unpacking and settling in, we found our air conditioner didn't work. We called the front desk and were told a tech would check it out. The tech came and said it would be cold in a minute. We also noticed our refrigerator didn't work, so asked if the tech could check that also. We were told that the electrician world be called. This morning, nothing had been done. We stopped by the front desk to ask, where a small, very intense man took over, when the lady that tried to help yesterday looked like a deer-in-the-headlight with our question. He was defensive. He informed us that our air conditioning had been turned off due to the month. As far as the refrigerator went, it was a convenience they didn't have to offer. My husband said, "it is advertised on your website. We aren't asking for a minibar, we have cheeses and salami that we want to snack on and we'd like to keep cold." His response was that we could just bring it down to the bar and come get it when we got hungry. If this weren't bad enough, I took a fall today and needed a plastic bag of ice upon our return to the hotel. We were told (wait for it...) "we have NO plastic in France!" There are no robes, the coffee service in the room is not as advertised, there is literally no storage, there is no where to put your bags. A year ago, we stayed at the Hotel Intercontinental in Bordeaux. We couldn't have had nicer people who wanted to do so much for their guests, and a beautifully appointed room. It was across from the opera house, and our floor to ceiling doors opened to the sounds of Bordeaux each morning. The hotel wasn't nearly as expensive as the Hilton Paris Opera. The Hilton's management is, simply put, horrible!! For $500 a night, I expected better. When coming to Paris, you DO NOT want to stay here.

Yelp
My sisters and I stayed here for 2 nights and the hotel is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are a decent size. The bathrooms in the rooms are spacious and beautiful they have heated floors a giant walk in shower with a handheld shower and a overhead shower head. We had one queen bed in our room and then a roll away bed. I did not lay on the roll away so i don't know how that was, but the queen bed was not very comfortable, it was like a typical low end hotel bed, which was very disappointing considering the level of luxury the look of this hotel gives off. The first night the room was very very warm (because my sister didn't understand the thermostat) so we opened the windows to try to help cool the room down... there are no screens on the windows and so a bunch of mosquitoes got in and I was eaten alive... not the hotels fault but it still sucked. The location is great it's right near a train station and directly across the street from some restaurants (including McDonald's lol) the employees are very nice and helpful too. The breakfast was all you care to eat and had a lot of yummy options; pastries, sausages, bacon, oatmeal, eggs, some fruits and bagel toppings, all sorts of juices and such.. just lots of stuff. It was yummy. So my sisters really love this hotel, but I don't think I'd want to stay here if we go back. Maybe something a little outside the city and just take the train in to the city.

Yelp
This Hilton hotel has the nicest and best trained staff. However I picked this hotel has a location to celebrate our anniversary. There is no air conditioning until turned on in May. Room was warm and stuffy. As a long time Diamond member I would say this hotel has the poorest choice of snacks or food in their executive lounge. During the day basically nothing. In the evening it seems like left overs coming out. For such a great property the hotel does not stand up to other Hilton's in Europe.

Yelp
I arrived in Paris at 10:30am and my room was available 30 minutes after arrival so I sat in the bar and had a morning cocktail. The hotel is very beautiful, clean, with helpful staff. I only stayed 1 night and had a queen deluxe room. Breakfast was very delicious and many of things to chose from. I would stay here again on my next trip to Paris. It was lovely

Yelp
Wonderful hotel and exceptional staff. The Concierge Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast buffet was very good

Yelp
Thank You to everyone at Hilton Opera House. You're attention to detail and service was impeccable. We felt welcome and appreciated as fist time Americans in Paris. Dulce at the Front Desk went above and beyond. When I requested anything, there was someone at my room in minutes (I messed up the coffee maker). Our Executive Room Included the lounge that provided everything we needed to start our day in Paris. The Gran Room was 1st class luxury, history and service. That burger with the deep fried cheddar was amazing ! After a long day exploring Paris, we came back to fresh, clean and luxurious room. The bed, the bathroom and the decor was everything we wanted and more. The location was perfect for shopping, dining, transportation and more. Thank You Dulce, Hilton and everyone involved in making our Thanksgiving and Wedding Anniversary in Paris unforgettable. We didn't want to leave.

Yelp
This review is for the breakfast buffet only, we didn't stay at this hotel. We were on the hunt for a breakfast buffet on Christmas day and all of the small touristy breakfast shops were all closed. A short 20 minute walk from our hotel and we were glad we made the trek. Everyone spoke great English and were so welcoming. They cleared our plates, filled our beverages, and gave us chocolates when paying for our bill. Nice selection of Western items and some local fare as well. Fun spot that won't break the bank.

Yelp
Loved this Hilton the most. Beautiful lounge and sitting area with a magnificent bar area. Architecture is premium here. Right away it is walkable central to metro, shopping and cafes.

Yelp
The language barrier is a real thing! The front desk staff is well trained and speak fluent English, comparably. However, I had a difficult time communicating with the cleaning staff. (I have only experienced a similar challenge while staying at the Hilton in Seoul.) In Paris, I had asked for extra bar soap; the cleaning staff could not understand what I was trying to say. The cleaning staff first showed up with a towel. I then had to show them the actual bar soap, and they finally understood what I asked for. Not four stars because there is not a deadbolt for this hotel. If I remember it correctly, most Hilton locations offer a deadbolt. I understand the hotels are relatively old. The hotel receives so much traffic; I think it warrants such installation. The hotel location itself is great, there are SFR and a bakery next to the hotel. I believe it is 80 euros to purchase a new SIM card for calling in France/Europe. However, this particular SFR store only carries the cell phone + sim card combo. You cannot purchase the SIM card on its own. Hey, you get an extra cell phone for fun. This hotel is relatively easily accessible if you were to take the train here. Just make sure your Google Maps is working and can orient you towards the right direction. I circled the block twice, before identifying the exact hotel location. This is just a reminder for all Hilton hotels out there. Even though you can be approved for late check out at 1 PM, still reactivate your card before you go up to the room. They remove the card activation at noon on your check-out day. The room itself is small, but that is expected while traveling around Europe. Though small, it is still more massive than the hotel rooms in NYC. The bathroom is enormous, which I like. I also like the lobby; it is stunning and gorgeous. There is a simple business center at the back of the lobby with two Mac laptops. One is a French keyboard. The other has an English keyboard. I tried to use the computer once but had trouble connecting on Safari. I talked to the front desk staff, but they understandably couldn't do anything to help. I applaud for their effort, though. One front desk staff brought up this huge manual for troubleshooting the business center. They tried to fix it, but couldn't solve the problem.

Yelp
Just finished a 3 night stay at the Hilton Paris opera and had an amazing time, the entire staff was friendly and spoke English - the breakfast and salon both had great food and drinks, and the room was large and comfortable! They made traveling with a 6 month old easy, with a crib in the room, and baby changing facilities in their restroom it was unlike many other places we visited this trip. Will definitely be back next time my travels bring me to Paris

Yelp
This property is a solid place to stay especially if you're a Hilton Honors member and get upgraded to have lounge access. Be warned that the lounge gets very full in the evening and food choices are limited and not very good. A great benefit is that the airport bus ends here at this hotel, a big savings over other alternatives.

Yelp
I have a love/hate relationship with Hilton Paris Opera. Flush with HHonors points, I spent tens of thousands on a brief two night stay here. The location is good, right across the street from a local train station and a couple of blocks away from several large department stores and restaurants. My room was beautifully appointed and extremely spacious, with a huge shower and heated marble floors in the bathroom. The staff was friendly and the hotel's common areas absolutely gorgeous. The problem I had was with the windows in my room. I was traveling in the shoulder season which means it's not that cold outside yet the hotel is still in winter mode and has the heat blaring. I was literally sitting in my room with sweat dripping all over. My room had two large windows (one that looked out on a gorgeous balcony) but they were latched shut, rendering the balcony unusable. Why would a hotel do that? What's more romantic than a private balcony in Paris? Two calls down to the front desk and three employees later, it was determined that the window in the bedroom (the balcony one) was totally sealed shut couldn't be opened. This made for a VERY miserable and uncomfortably warm two nights with very little (and only restless) sleep. Luckily we were able to shimmy the bathroom window open a little bit (it still had a latch to prevent it from opening fully) for some relief, but our bedroom remained far too hot. I would stay here again but only when the a/c is running or if I was guaranteed a room where the windows actually open wide. I was in misery from the heat. I am not exaggerating. It's a shame because this is such a gorgeous hotel. As a Diamond member, I had access to the Executive Lounge, which was a real disappointment with this property. You'd think with such glamorous opulence elsewhere that the lounge would be first class. It's not. It's a too small room with lame snacks. Granted, I didn't come to Paris to eat hotel food but the breakfast in particular was borderline embarrassing. Store bought croissants, a few meats, cheeses, and lame juices that weren't worth the calories.

Yelp
Hilton Paris Opera is generally pretty expensive and can often reach €200-300 per night, but in the aftermath of the pandemic it became much more affordable, so I decided to stay here during my time in Paris and I was impressed with the conversion of such an old building into a stunning hotel which embodies the true spirit of both France & Hilton Hotels. The hotel let me knew everything I needed to know before my arrival in a welcome email, from Hilton Clean Stay to the COVID precautions in place. While the restaurant and Executive Lounge were closed, I'd still be able to enjoy my Honors benefits with a beer/wine in the Bar per day, soft drinks, tea or coffee, and breakfast in the morning. They also had no problem cleaning my room daily even though it is usually on request due to Covid-19. The beautiful lobby bar, Le Grand Salon would act as my de-facto lounge during my stay. I was upgraded to a Junior Suite and it was one of the best hotel rooms I've ever had. It was stunning, offered great views of the square featuring Gare Saint-Lazare, considering it was on the first floor it was tremendous how it offered great views and was quiet most of the time. I also loved the Paris themed decor and hand-drawn art on the wall. I liked the location too, it was in Opera, close to train and bus services and within walking distance of many parts of the city. You might want to take the 42 bus; which stops close to the hotel and goes to the Champs Elysee and Tour Eiffel. I loved the comfortable bed, numerous phones in the room as well as USB and local European plug sockets. They also had a fridge in the room, and one of the smartest safe's I've ever seen in a hotel. The Nespresso coffee machine came pre-loaded with water which was a simple yet amazing gesture. All the staff in the hotel seemed friendly and happy to help, most spoke great English. I was given a tasty cocktail on arrival with Passionfruit and rum, and I was told that in lieu of the executive lounge I would still get breakfast and one alcoholic drink of my choice at night, which was perfect. It really didn't feel like reduced services due to COVID at all, other than having to wear masks in public areas which are compulsory in France. As well as the welcome cocktail, I was given a welcome basket after a quick and simple check-in. This included water, pringles, wet towels and a few snacks. The hotel is like a maze especially at first, it's so easy to get lost in the corridors with many different lifts and cut-throughs. They just seemed to go above and beyond, I even had this amazing staff member come outside with me to help make sure I got in the station across the way, as it was late at night and many of the stations' entrances were closed. On the first morning, I was woken up by a banging noise, it became so unbearable I couldn't even remain in my room, it seemed upon checking with other staff members this was building work going on outside of the hotel, I've heard building work before in hotels and I've even had my house extended recently, and the sheer thudding is something I've never seen the likes of before. I was offered the chance to change rooms to a room at the back, I opted against it as it was a lower grade room and the noise was only slightly less. The Breakfast area is only accessed via steps at the minute, this is because the construction blocks the street entrance. People who can't handle the steps can request breakfast in their room (even though they don't normally do room service) or can eat in the lobby, again so much difficulty caused by construction which isn't even for the hotel. My breakfast was one of the best I've had outside of the UK, the omelette was cooked perfectly, the orange juice was fresh, the scrambled egg might have looked messy but was seasoned perfectly, so were the potatoes and the beans were pretty good considering how abysmal they can be outside of the UK. The second night of my stay was much better - not only was I not woken up by the construction noise but my pre-ordered Breakfast in bed was served on-time, it wasn't fully hot although they did an excellent job remembering my order and getting everything right, they kept my GF food separate from my friend's too, and considering they don't normally do room service and never have - that was a pretty good attempt. I also liked how 24 hours' notice was given ahead of a fire-drill with signs all around the hotel, it was planned at 12pm too so that is a reasonable time. They also had no problem in letting me have a generous late 2 pm checkout and the bar staff made me an excellent fresh ice tea when they ran out of the Fuze Tea bottles. This truly is one of the finest hotels I've stayed in and I can't think of many places more deserving of a five-star rating. Apart from a few small flaws, everything was immaculate from the service to the room. To be able to get five nights here for free, using my HHonors points is truly a blessing.

Yelp
Great hotel and location. Rooms were clean and spacious- love how bottle water was available daily on your room floor as you exit the elevator... concierge was helpful booking our excursions! There are taxi's always available in front of the hotel as well the subway is conveniently right outside. The bar was great for drink's especially after exploring Paris all day! We look forward to staying again.

Yelp
By far the RUDEST staff I have ever encountered in my years of travel and hotel stays. And that is saying a lot, as I come from NYC'! In addition to the personnel appearing and seeming bothered by your mere presence, the rooms have a lot to be desired. The beds are terribly uncomfortable, and the thermostat is controlled/locked by the hotel. So, heat wave be dammed. Needless to say, Parisian's are notoriously rude, but why spend hard earned money to receive this type of treatment. Unless of course you are a sadist. Do your research and stay anywhere but here:)

Yelp
The Hilton Paris Opera hotel is absolutely lovely! Since this was my first time in Paris I had no idea the best area to stay in. Thankfully a friend came to the rescue and told me about the Hilton. It's situated in the lively Opera district with restaurants, shopping, and stores all within walking distance. It's also next to the train station so getting around the city is easy. The hotel staff are welcoming and all speak English so communicating was a breeze. There's a grand sitting area and bar past the reception area. After talking to the bartender he told me this building was built in 1882 and was originally part of the rail station that is next to the hotel. The architecture is amazing and has been beautifully preserved. The guest rooms are small but tastefully decorated and have all amenities you'd expect from a Hilton property. The temperature in the room was comfortable and the bathroom has a heated tile floor (very nice after a shower!). The bathroom is pretty spacious and has a window. The shower has a rain fall shower head and the water gets hot right away and stays hot. The bed was comfortable and had USB plugs on the headboard. Very handy especially since US plugs won't work in European outlets. The guest rooms also have an in-room coffee pot. There wasn't any negatives I can think of or experienced. I would definitely recommend staying at the Paris Hilton Opera and hope to get the chance to come back here one day!

Yelp
This place is a true landmark and the architecture is incredible. My experience here was from a 6-night stay. The housekeeping was top notch. I loved coming back to a tidy room with restocked toiletries. The turn down service was lovely, complete with chocolates and pillow spray. And a little tip, if you ask for a robe and slippers they will bring them to you. But get prepared to put in some ear plugs and a pillow on top of your head in the morning because loud thudding begins around 6:00am or 7:00am. This is probably due to poor insulation (it is an old building of course). Pros: -Pillow spray -Heated floors in the bathroom -The food from room service is quite good Tips: -You can't use the hair dryer in the bathroom. -The cafe next door is superb--no need to eat in the fancy lounge that charges €8 for a basic coffee (learned the hard way!) The gentlemen who open the doors are delightful. Have a conversation, ask for recommendations, etc. if you have a free minute or two. Overall the value for the money is a little bit of a stretch, at least during the expensive season (about €535 per night), but if you have the cash to spend it's fun to say you did it.

Yelp
This was my first time at the Hilton Paris Opera and I was pleasantly surprised. I was upgraded to a junior suite which was a nice touch for my less than 24 hour visit. Even though the hotel was in the center of Paris, it was a nice space to escape the craziness of the city. The room was extremely well appointed and reflected a nice level of luxury that one doesn't always associated with the standard Hilton hotels. The Executive Lounge was nice, although I would have appreciated it if food was provided late morning as I wasn't able to eat prior to my first meeting in the morning. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and would most certainly be open to a return visit, if my 'go to' property in Paris is once again full

Yelp
Lovely stay at this centrally located hotel. Get exec level rooms for a private breakfast area!

Yelp
We loved this hotel! My wife and I decided to take our first trip to Paris for our one-year anniversary. I spent several weeks reviewing all the hotels in the area (on multiple sites including Yelp, Trip Advisor and Google) and inevitably decided on the Hilton Paris Opera (aside from the amazing reviews, we also got an offer for the Hilton Honors card and were visiting multiple cities with Hilton resorts, which was another factor behind this decision). We really loved staying here and would gladly return again. One of the things we really loved about this hotel was the comfort. We reserved a deluxe king room and found the room size to be comparable to most US hotels (I had read that rooms in Parisian hotels are much smaller than what we're used to as Americans). The bed was heavenly and the bathroom was gorgeous (we especially loved the rain shower, which had terrific water pressure). More importantly for a light sleeper like me, the rooms were well insulated from sound. We stayed on the 5th floor facing the courtyard (which helped) but were really tested the night that France won the semifinals in the World Cup. We had returned from dinner that evening and the city was electric (horns honking, people shouting, etc.). Nevertheless, despite the occasional faint horn in the background, we slept soundly and hardly heard a noise. The other thing we loved about this hotel was the service. For instance, although we arrived at 12pm (3 hours before check-in), the staff had a room available for us (and a great room at that). I had included a note in the reservation that it was our anniversary, so they left a bottle of French wine and gourmet chocolates in our room with a hand-written note. Whenever we had to speak with somebody, they were prompt and courteous (and spoke English, which we really appreciated as a couple who regrettably cannot speak French). The amenities here are also great. I did not use the gym on this trip but past by and would gladly have used it if I were traveling for business. We also really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, which included quality pastries, hot food, coffee, real tea (the kind you scoop out of a bin and put into your own filter), fresh juice, and even a real honey comb for those wanting truly organic honey (really cool). For those looking for a quick cup of espresso, there's a Starbucks attached to the hotel (outdoor entrance). And let's also not forget the gorgeous hotel lobby and restaurant/bar! The only possible gripe I have with this place is the location (as a tourist). None of the major tourist attractions are within walking distance as the hotel is located about a mile north of the Seine. Still, the Gare Saint-Lazare metro station is located just behind the hotel, which made taking the metro incredibly simple (making it easier to get from place to place), and we found taxis waiting out front anytime we walked by. The other thing to watch out for is the price. We paid an average of $375/night (USD) to stay here, but that's not uncommon for Paris (the city is quite expensive). Still, if you're visiting the city of lights (and especially if you're a Hilton Honors member), you should really find this hotel enjoyable.

Yelp
We stayed here for three days last month and had a great time. In all honesty, who is spending much time inside a hotel room in Paris? Not us! We were out exploring and barely there but our room was spacious, bed was comfy, bathroom was large (with heated floors) and yet another European hotel with washcloths!!! Thank goodness! Plenty of room to hang our clothes in the closet and a decent view out of the front of the hotel. Bottled water was provided to us which is always nice. Free wifi (I mean who doesn't do free wifi nowadays?). We were told we were upgraded at check in which was nice. I really like that the Hilton offers their executive lounge for their members from 6P-8P at this location. They didn't mention a breakfast that is usually included with our stays and and we were only around one time to take advantage of the evening option but it was surely a treat! Really, you wouldn't even need dinner after the spread they put on in not one, but two separate rooms. Think savory and sweets! It was really quite nice, with unlimited beverages including beer and wine. The lobby bar area is pretty although we didn't spend anytime there only caught glimpses in passing to and from the elevator bank. This hotel is conveniently located right near the St Lazare subway stop, which we took everywhere! I only wish it ran later than 1230A, that part was partially inconvenient as we were barely finished with dinner most nights around midnight and I would have loved to be a bit closer to some other areas, clearly far outside Hiltons control ;) All in all, check in was smooth, concierge was nice (we only really had one question) and getting a taxi to/from the airport was a breeze. I'd stay here again.

Yelp
Stayed here for the first time. Be aware there are no ADA ramps that was visible so we struggled to carrier our luggage. It was not until we made it to the lobby, did we see a bellman. As a Diamond member, we were offered a glass of wine, access to the executive lounge. Executive lounge evening snacks were awesome. We did it for only 2 of the 4 nights there. They offered a hot dish (chicken and mushrooms), smoked salmon, raw oysters. Asstd dessert and salad. Wine, Champagne, beer, Soda, Coffee and tea for New Years Day. For Monday evening, hot entree was chicken Alfredo. Concierge staff was awesome as well. Shout out to Charlotte for helping me translate and get my gloves back from an Uber driver. Raphael for getting us tickets to Moulin Rouge and my gloves to my room while we out for the day. Also shout out to Yann for getting us across the street to our Uber driver with our bags.

Yelp
Still my go to spot in Paris. Great staff, great location, love the city of lights. The downside, early checking is non existence and so is late check out. The good news, housekeeping and bar/servers/front desk... all professional and they speak English.

Yelp
Honestly I wasn't expecting much from this hotel as most hiltons seem to be more of a business type hotel vs. luxury. Boy was I wrong! This Hilton screamed luxury the moment you step into their ornate lobby and ohhh wait keep walking up the stairs to the uber fancy bar area! Beautiful high ceilings with a very Parisian feel. While I will say the ladies at the front desk seemed to be a little snooty the guys working the bell/concierge desk were all extremely pleasant and friendly! Always asking how my day was and if there was anything they could help me with. Rumor has it the rooms in Paris are comparable to NYC....very small. I felt our room was a comfortable size. The king bed was heavenly....some mornings we did not want to get out of bed! The bathroom was very luxurious....covered all in white marble. The shower was amazing with an optional rain shower too...water pressure was superb! I seriously took like 10 showers during my stay because I enjoyed it so much! Not to mention the heated floors!!! I loved being barefoot in there! There was also a window inside the bathroom that you can crack open for some fresh air which is rare in most hotel bathrooms. Diamond member perks are quite nice here. We had full all day access to a private executive lounge. Key access only. It had a full breakfast spread and evening spread of food. Although the evening spread was called light appetizers you can easily treat it as a full dinner....they had veggies, salads, meats, cheeses, breads, cous cous and steamed fish! All you can eat! They even have a big cake and some other desserts too! All you can drink beverages- latte machine, coffee, variety of teas, juices, spa water, cans of soda! It was so nice to just pop in after a long day of sight-seeing for a coke zero and some snacks/fruit. Keep in mind although you can enjoy free breakfast here with your honors membership you can get two free breakfast buffets right next door at their restaurant. It was much larger and had a lot more seating and a better variety of breakfast fare! You can easily not spend a dime on food and eat here everyday for free on your trip if you wanted to. Although I recommend to get out and enjoy the city! I mean you are in Paris!!! Location....if you are familiar with Paris it's divided into districts otherwise know as arrondissements. The hilton opera is in the 8th arrondissement. I would say it's pretty centrally located. We were able to walk to the louvre, musee de orsay, and all the main shopping centers. The train station is also right next to the hotel. Plenty of taxis line up right in front of the hotel too. I would definitely stay in this area again. We found it very easy to get around. There are some cafes and restaurants nearby but i found them to be mediocre and non of them highly rated on yelp. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here. We had room service one night in our room and it was pleasant. The housekeepers made it to our room early every morning around 10am which is my preferred time since we like to come back to a clean room to rest for a bit after lunch. We were able to use points for our entire stay so technically it was free for us but i believe their rates are somewhere in the middle around $350 a night. Which is pretty good for Paris standards considering the luxury high end hotels go for over $1,000 a night!

Yelp
The Hilton saved my trip to Paris after a horrendous stay at the Marriott. I was initially staying at the Marriott Paris Opera for 4 nights but after a disaster of the first, I was able to switch to the Hilton for my remaining 3 nights in Paris. I am so grateful they were able to accommodate me at the last minute. This is a big, beautiful hotel and in a great location. The breakfast selection is great and you can order omelettes at no additional charge from any of the wait staff. The executive lounge gets very crowded during their "evening reception / happy hour" from 530-730pm each night. There were 2 employees working each night and they did a great job restocking. The showers have good water pressure and the heated floors in the bathroom are a nice touch. We were able to walk everywhere but took the subway twice. Once to the Eiffel Tower which is great because you get off at Tocadero - which is where the great view from the platform is. You can walk up to the Eiffel Tower from there and is the best way of arriving, in my opinion. We also took it to Sacre Coer and got off the Abbess station. I would not recommend this route since it takes you to the backside of the church so you are forced to walk up many flights of stairs. If you arrive from the front (either by walking or taxi), you can pay an outdoor "elevator" to take you to the top. This was a concern because I was with my mother and would have preferred her take the elevator then exhausting herself. The concierge should probably explain this. We had a hotel arrange a taxi to Charles Du Gaulle airport and it was a fixed 57euro rate. I would assume Uber is cheaper but the taxi was hassle free and easy, with no wait. I would stay here again.

Yelp
We had an excellent stay at the Hilton Paris Opera. Their staff was exceptionally friendly from the moment we walked up to the time we left. We really enjoyed the breakfast and wine hour in the executive lounge. They provide an amazing assortment of meats, cheeses and beverages for the evening and the morning breakfast had wonderful eggs, bacon, fruit, cheeses, and fresh juices. It was a wonderful presentation. The rooms are small, but that is expected in Paris, however they are updated and very beautiful. The bathroom was incredible and even had heated floors! We found the location very convenient as it was next to the a metro/train station. We were able to get around the city very easily and even took the train back to the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel. This would be my first choice of hotels when I return to Paris!

Yelp
Great location and good service! Easily walk to the subway stations, Opera, and Galleries Lafayette. We were in Paris for the weekend and decided to stay here for a night. It was a great idea. We arrived here around 12:30pm, and the staff kindly let us check in early and upgraded the room. They also gave us the access to the secret bar; but we were too tired to visit. The hotel lobby was gorgeous and beautiful. We went to the room and dropped our stuff. The room was small as others mentioned; however, it was cozy. It was a little hard to find the master switch (it's located between the doors). The bathroom floor is heated which was very nice and unique. There are USB plugs located by the bed. Very convenient. Accessible to stairs which is nice if you're trying to get extra steps. We had dinner at Le grand salon where is located behind the front desk. The server first gave us the drink menu, but we asked for the dinner menu and ordered cheeseburger with French fries and sea bass with steamed vegetables. We waited about 20 minutes to get our food, but the interior was so pretty, and I kept looking around the hotel, so waiting was nothing to me. The food looked very good. My sea bass was amazing. It was nicely grilled and came with sautéed lima beans and funnel. I was also surprised how much steamed veggies I got. These veggies were flavorful and seasoned very well. My husband said his cheese in cheeseburger was American which I believe the menu stated Cheddar. The burger was cooked done which I wouldn't like it, but my husband was okay with it. I couldn't finish my food, but it was very good. The breakfast was also good. They had croissant and associated breads, fruits, cheese, veggies, cereals, hot dishes, yogurt, and drinks. I like the breakfast in Europe as they usually have veggies and cheese for the breakfast. I don't get to see this kind in the States. I really liked sautéed mushrooms. It was tasty! My overall experience was great and I was highly satisfied. I will be staying here again when I return to Paris.

Yelp
A great historic hotel. Well maintained and a very gracious staff. We arrived late and our room was already set up with a roll away for my daughter and a nice welcome bottle of wine for mom and dad. A great location by the Lazare train and metro station made it easy to get any where. A great hotel

Yelp
Definitely one of the best locations in Paris. It's easy to access many metro lines and it's a wonderful area itself. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very good. If you purchase a package or have status, the executive lounge is quite good. Decent food, good service and decent selection of drinks. Why four stars? Well, frankly, the price is fairly outrageous. I get it: Paris, high season, etc. but it's still frightening to pay many hundreds of dollars per night. The room itself was good: very clean (5 stars housekeeping) but there's not a whole lot more (room wise) than a clean bed and bathroom. OK: I'll give them this - the shower is FANTASTIC. It has to be the most voluminous water flow I've ever experienced. It was like showering at Niagara falls. This was very cool. But the price should be factored in. Services are good: concierges are excellent. That said, if you have a good reason to be in the area and/or a few dollars to spend (or an insane number of points) go for it!

Yelp
I brought my wife to the HIlton Opera in December after her second surgery relating to cancer. The stay in December was a disaster, we had mulled in the room, see my previous post for pictures. This was followed by poor service in the lounge and then with management not even agreeing to respond to my concerns. We just checked in today after we were asked to given them another try, clearly this appears to be a mistake. We checked in and once again, the excuses started. As a gold and platinum card member for more than 20 years I've never seen an upgrade from Hilton property in Paris. The attitude of the staff at the front desk was poor at best, it was like they were doing us a favour for letting us stay at their property. Our room was not ready and at least we were allowed to use the lounge. When I ask if they would bring us the key when the room was ready I was told " I'll see what I can do " and it came across as how dare we ask for the key to be given to use. Clearly customer service is not a priority and even after receiving an email from the Managment team that they would ensure our stay would not be a repeat of December, the staff are off to a miserable stater. On or second day my wife was tired and when we called to order room service we were told the item we wanted did not exist on the menu, a pizza with mushroom and ham, in short it did. We had a lengthy discussion and I was told to talk to the front desk. When I did they were little help and ask me to come to the front desk which I did. At the front desk I spoke to the manager and they had no explanation and offered no solution. In short its a Hilton by name only. Its more like a motel 6, avoid at all cost.

Yelp
Pros Super friendly check in Headphones at the front desk for gym workout Updated high tech equipment in gym Miraculously clean- maids everywhere cleaning constantly Let us check in early and answered questions before I asked Great executive lounge breakfast, midday treats, and happy hour snacks High quality high definition big TVs in the gym and exec lounge Very responsive to extra requests (towels, hangers, etc.) Beautiful luxurious feel- was told they just completed the renovation Bartender attentive and thoughtful. They serve snacks such as pistachios, olives, or chips with the cocktails; one night when we said we just had dinner, bartender brought us some chocolates. Comfy bed Great bedding Shower head on wall and hand held Toilet in separate room USB ports in the room. Lots of outlets- at the desk, on both sides of the bed. I had two separate reservations under two numbers- they were good about marrying the reservations. A package was successfully delivered from the US- no problems encountered. Concierge recommended a restaurant that turned out to be the best meal I had on the whole trip. Cons(Hiton Honors in general, but applies to this stay) I originally booked 3 nights on points; I did not have enough points for the fourth night. After a few more Hilton stays, I had enough points for the last night. But when I called, they said it would take nearly the same amount of points AND I had to pay 141€. AND I would not accrue points for that stay. Additional comments (pro or con depending on your preference): Strange photos through the hotel Very sunny room Last comment- I would absolutely stay here again if in Paris.

Yelp
I got to the hotel at 3. My room was not ready but I had a glass of champagne and shortly there after my room was ready. I got to my room and the wrong luggage was there so I had them sort that out as well. Other than checking in my experience was lovely. Beautiful hotel. The rooms are small but I was by myself so it was just fine. I had concierge hire me a hairstylist and makeup artist for a photoshoot I had. They were also very accommodating to help me get around town

Yelp
Super friendly check in upon arrival. Very attentive and accommodating! We arrived several hours before check in and they allowed us to get into our room within 15 minutes. Small rooms, decent overall. Nice decor in lobby area and very helpful and friendly concierge. Set up all of our sight seeing tours and made it super easy for us!

Yelp
Stayed at the Hilton Paris Opera for 5 days in Sept. The location is great right next to the St Lazare train station. The rooms have been recently redecorated and were well appointed. Great Hotel and location. On our last morning we incurred and issue with no hot water. Not the greatest thing to occur just prior to checking out for an early flight. The initial assistance from the Hotel wasn't great and only aggravated things. As soon as the day shift reception Manager arrived things were quickly addressed with our concerns and needs tended to effectively and efficiently. From what may have resulted in a poor overall experience I must highly commend Reception Manager Imane Jacquota for the way she actively managed our issue and check out. Thanks you Imane for your assistance and professionalism and well done Hilton Paris Opera.
