"Despite being located just outside Reykjavik’s main center, the Hilton Nordica maintains its popularity thanks to its superb service and welcoming Scandi-mod interiors. Though workingtravelers tend to favor the property for its many functional conference rooms and business center, leisure visitors prefer to cozy up in a leather armchair by the fire in the plush neutral-toned lobby. The aesthetic continues in the spacious rooms and suites (the smallest is 300 square feet) with their calming, natural palettes, colorful photos of Reykjavik, and large windows that allow Iceland ’s generous light to flood in; suites also enjoy separate lounge areas. The VOX restaurant serves gourmet New Nordic cuisine with an emphasis on Icelandic and Scandinavian ingredients, and the open-concept bar serves coffee, tea, and cocktails, and is a comfortable spot for lounging or mingling whether you’re coming in from a busy day of sightseeing or getting ready to hit the town."

I stayed here during a weekend getaway from Dublin. Although this isn't my first trip to Reykjavik, it was the first time staying here. This hotel was conveniently located on the FlyBus pickup route, and an easy 30-minute walk to town if you're up for it. There was a young guy who assisted me on check in on 09/12 and he was very friendly and kind. He seemed like he was new, but nonetheless he was nice. However, there was a middle -aged gentlemen at the front desk, and his attitude was horrible. HIlton, please address that mess! Because guests need to see smiling staff with good attitudes. Also, it would help if they offered city maps to guests upon check-in, as we had to ask for one so we could check the bus routes. Anyway, our room was clean and comfortable. We also spent time at the lobby bar and the drinks were good, and the staff friendly. I would stay here again on my next trip back to Reykjavik, and I would recommend.

Group tour of Reykjavik and Iceland based in this hotel. Hotel was clean, pleasant with nice spa whose pool was great. Staff was nice, helpful and gracious. Room accommodations were fine. Had been a Hilton and now under another brand. Hotel made it easy for us on an orthodox Jewish tour. Saturday religious rules were made easy to follow. Space for our group was nice. Area of the hotel was nice. Near the Perla and a walking trail with a biking component. Just outside a small airport serving small planes and Iceland. Had no problem re: noise from airport. Saw some nice planes. I would gladly be a guest here again.

I had a truly wonderful stay at the Hilton Nordic Reykjavík. The highlight was an incredible massage that left me completely relaxed. The breakfast spread was delicious with a wide variety of options—though I accidentally grabbed the gluten-free bread once, everything else was fantastic. The staff went above and beyond with their kindness and attentiveness, making me feel very welcome throughout my visit. My room was comfortable and offered a beautiful view that made the stay even more special. Overall, an excellent experience—I would definitely return!

The hotel was nice and quiet. The room was clean had space for our 3 suitcases. Breakfast was good and had lots of choices. The restaurant was busy during dinner hours but did have a limited menu in the bar area with additional seating. Overall, nice stay. Location was decent but not in the heart of downtown - we drove into the city during the day.

We arrived to the property early and our room was ready for us when we arrived, before check. They would have storied our luggage if the room wasn't ready.||We had book a tour for a couple hours after our arrival. We went to the desk and asked for a cab and one arrived within minutes. We used cab service 3 times while in Reykjavik. Wasn't that expensive. ||When we returned we stopped at the bar for a couple of drinks and a light dinner. ||We went down for breakfast, large buffet and large selection to chose from. Which you pay for.||The room was nice and well maintained. We will remember this hotel when we visit again.

This was a single-night stopover while waiting to board a cruise ship. The hotel served its purpose, which was a bed and a shower with a great breakfast.||Check-in: I arrived at the hotel at approximately 10:30 AM. The Front Desk attendant was courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient. He indicated that the room wasn’t ready since they were trying to clear the hotel of the current cruise guests – no problem! As a Lifetime Diamond, I had access to the Executive Lounge so that’s where I waited for my room to be ready.||Executive Lounge: The space was moderately small in size and featured large windows that allowed significant natural light into the room. While I was waiting for my room, there were only about 4 other people and a family of 4. Unfortunately, the parents thought it was fine for the young kid to listen to his cartoon on his iPad without using his headphones. Once they left, about 30 mins later, it was quiet. Some snacks appeared around an hour later and they were not particularly exciting. Some cookies and some vague nuts. Unlimited tea and coffee were available.| |Room: I had an 8th floor room (the lounge was on the same floor); twin beds, desk, some type of coffee maker, but more importantly, a water kettle for tea. The size of the room was fine; not too small and definitely not too big. It was a spare room with modern furniture. For this one night, it turned out great. The bathroom had sufficient towels, and the shower included the obligatory shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. It was chilly night so I used the room heater. That's when I noticed there was no option for air conditioning.||Breakfast: Lots of options for food, but most European hotels do a much better job with breakfast. Many fresh fruit options, different juice selections, cereals, multiple types of bread, and numerous hot food selections including fresh eggs, meats, and potatoes. It was a great breakfast - food and service. 👍🏽 (I didn’t bother with checking for breakfast in the executive lounge. A recent stay at another Hilton in Europe indicated I should go to the main restaurant for breakfast.)||Location: It was close to the cruise ship terminal so that worked out. In relation to downtown, it’s a cab ride.||Everyone working at the hotel was friendly and courteous. Given the constant cruise traffic, you might expect employees to be burned out, but I saw no evidence of that. They answered questions when asked and everyone had a positive attitude.

Nice hotel. Well kept. No A/C, which was a problem in summer as the room felt warm and wouldn't cool down. A bit of a walk into the city each day, but not bad. Wish it was a little closer.

I enjoyed a lovely stay at the Hilton Nordica in Iceland. The room was comfortable and surprisingly spacious for Europe. The staff were excellent - friendly, helpful, and attentive. The on-site restaurant and bar were also great amenities. The main downside was the lack of temperature controls in the rooms. During the Icelandic summer, the rooms can become quite warm by US standards, especially since the weather is cool but humid. Luckily, the front desk provided fans, which helped improve air circulation and lowered the temperature when used with the windows open. Despite this minor issue, I would happily return to this hotel.
