Location is nice - right next to the convention center and a mile walk to the shopping center. It is also easy to get to/from the airport quickly. The walk to the Gas Light district is also short and easy. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. My room also had a view of the bay, which was lovely. They give you cards to exchange for water bottles which is weird but there are refill stations on floors 1-5. The water temperature from the machines was room temperature and the rooms didn't have a mini fridge, so expect that. I ate the the restaurant on the 1st floor pretty much daily and that was nice. The food was tasty and the staff quickly and friendly. The shop next to the restaurant has a good variety of snacks. The shop on the first floor was very expensive (I paid $30 for sunscreen) but has the little items we frequently forget. The pool felt a little small but was overall pleasant. I had no complaints about it besides that I could swim across the pool in 8 strokes, but thats a me issue more than anything. There is also a hot tub and kids play area. The pool bar made good drinks. The view from the pool is quite nice as well.

Booked this hotel last minute to celebrate our Honeymoon and glad we did. The Hilton Bayfront staff was more than we anticipated from check in to our exit. Props to Robert working the Bayside exit doors. He took the time to take photos of us and are very greatfull for his friendliness, such a good person. Overall we had a great time, wlked to SeaPort Village,Petco Park and surrounding areas. We'll be back to celebrate our anniversary as long as we can. Thank you

We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton for my son’s 7th birthday! From the moment we arrived, the staff made our visit extra special. A huge thank you to Karin from Concierge and Eduardo from The Market for the warm welcome and thoughtful assistance throughout our stay and for the amazing gift basket they prepared for my son, it absolutely made his day! Location is great, walking distance to gaslamp and a few mins drive to little italy and Coronado. The hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Hilton, for making this birthday getaway unforgettable! 🎉💙

As a recent divorcée, I've been traveling to find my sense of self and heal as an independent woman. The Hilton San Diego Bayfront offered a perfect spot for that ease and comfort to futher encourage this journey. Everyone was so kind and attentive, especially the brand ambassadors, Kanishka, Mary Ann, and Cesar, all of whom provided a more in-depth opportunity for connection and conversation. In addition, the food was delicious and had amazing-sized portions, some of which would last up to three meals! Most importantly, I felt tremendously safe and welcomed, especially since I had my cat Oliver with me. I would highly recommend staying here and taking the time to connect because I'm definitely coming out of here stronger in knowing myself, which was the goal of this trip all along! Thank you all! I just got back from a three-night stay. I have stayed at this properties many many times through the years. All the good things about this property are still there. But this time, I have a very unpleasant experience with the food credits as diamond member and the discussion at the counter. I was told this time that food credits are posted by calendar day, not by "hotel-stay" day. So when I had breakfast as part of my second stay-day and then dinner as part of my third stay-day, the system only generated one set of credit since they were on the same calendar day. Or if you are on a two-night stay and you choose to have breakfast the morning after you have arrived, you are stuck with having breakfast again the next morning if you want the meal to be covered by food credits. So this policy does not help customers to use the food credits to try lunch or dinner, as Hilton management claims they want the customers to have the flexibility to do. After multiple tries with no success, I just forced myself to have breakfast again the morning of my checkout in order to receive my third day of food credit. Another disappointing experience is with the front desk agent and immediate manager (morning of 12/23) as I was trying to explain the above point (started with breakfast then would be stuck with breakfast on a two-night stay as an example) to them, and they refused to accept the point I was trying to make, and essentially told me to go away. At least the counter agent at the time when I checked out between 9 to 10 am kindly asked how my stay was then I explained the same point to him, and he listened and agreed with the point I made above and encouraged me to express my views to the Hilton management team. I believe this is a very bad policy and the hotel management needs to consider to change it.

Google
Fantastic hotel, wonderful design including the lights with various colors. I especially enjoyed the fabrics touches design to remind an ocean waters. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Rooms are well kept, not perfect, but surely comfy. Alex was a gracious host. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Google
Great hotel right on the bay. Really clean and lick, updated decor. Rooms were very comfy and had everything desired. Fantastic location with gorgeous views. Walking distance to tons of restaurants and bars downtown. Two great bars/restaurants available, both with great views and a fun specialty cocktail selection. This hotel also has great spaces for conferences, and a nice pool! Highly recommend.

Google
Great location on the bay with very nice view. We had dinner at the restaurant Hudson&Nash and reserved a fireplace seating and watched the boat parade. The parade was not very close but we could see it. The beds are not comfortable. We had full body aches after the night. Pillows were also bad quality. They were uncomfortable to sleep on. Clean room. Has mini fridge. No microwave. We received bottle water, $15 voucher for food and drink. Hotel also offer transpo to coronado island and bike rental but we didn't take advantage of those activities. Very quite location.

Yelp
Beautiful property with a great location! Located just steps from the San Diego Bay and the Convention Center gives you access to Petco Park also via a pedestrian bridge. We enjoyed the views of both the city and Coronado Island from a high floor. The property is a Hilton Grand Vactions property so you can actually purchase times shares here. They have multiple restaurants here offering a variety of elevated modern American dishes as well as south of the border cuisine. The lower level also has a handy convenience store, with coffee and pastries in the A.M and beer and wines for sale and snacks to grab and go. We had a very nice stay here, we enjoyed the views the hotel offered. Some of the San Diego attractions are a little far away to walk to but an easy distance for a car ride or Lyft. We would definitely come back. Enjoy!!

Yelp
Very rude front desk experience from Andrew. I'm a government worker and booked a room for work through our state contracted travel site. I've booked dozens of times and never had an issue. The front desk clerk was rude and arrogant in informing me that they did not accept VCNs for local government bookings. I explained it's for a state agency, not local government, and that I was assured it wouldn't be an issue. Despite that, I was just ignored and left to fend for myself, I didn't even get assistance in contacting another hotel, merely handed a slip of paper with a phone number and basically told to figure it out myself. I made sure to elevate this to our travel department with the hope we use Hilton far less in the future. I would never recommend this again for travel.

Yelp
Gorgeous views, easy parking -- and you don't get lost in the parking structure. All big pluses! But the front desk... wow. They honestly seemed tired -- tired of answering questions, tired of doing their jobs, tired of even looking at your face. Now, I get it -- customer service is hard, and people can be difficult. But when a polite guest with their arms full is just asking for a little help, a small effort goes a long way. I had to go up twice and was met both times with a look that made me feel like a nuisance. Raphael (front desk) might just need a vacation -- he looked exhausted from life or maybe he had a late night out not sure -- but still, a bit of kindness would make a huge difference. Delivery is everything. My job requires that I go to alot of hotels, and I've never felt quite as unwelcome as I did this morning. A smile and a little help can really change someone's experience its that simple.

Yelp
Came to San Diego to watch a show at Rady Shell so naturally this hotel was the best choice, specifically because it was walking distance to the venue and also had a shuttle pick up and drop off right in front. I checked in on a Thursday afternoon and they weren't able to get the room any earlier than 3:30 PM since they had a conference going on, but any earlier than standard is still always better. Concierge reached out to me a few days before my stay to give me information about the hotel and their offerings. Shawn R. of the concierge team had the liberty of upgrading my room to a corner unit with a panoramic view of San Diego. I wanted a view of Rady Shell and was pleasantly surprised to also have the view of Petco Park and Gaslamp Quarter. The room itself is pretty similar to a standard Hilton hotel. Nothing that stands out extraordinarily but clean and well-managed. They have a mini refrigerator in the unit along with 2 aluminum water bottles you can refill in the lobby, standard walk-in shower with Crabtree and Evelyn bath products. Since I have Hilton Diamond status, I used my credit at the marketplace rather than their restaurants, but was quite shocked at the steep prices. And when I mean steep, I mean extremely steep. $30 for 2 people does not get you far but we managed a huge Sicilian pizza slice and a king size KitKat and 3 musketeers bar of chocolate. I had the option to check out 1 hour later than standard check out which was very lovely. Overall, if I have another event at Rady Shell I would certainly come back. Also, they have a free service to Coronado and I very much look forward to taking advantage of that next time. (30/50--2025)

Yelp
Really I don't have any complaints. Beds are comfortable, very nice area, parking garage, walking path with a change of pace (the ships). The multilevel lobby/promenade, availability of food, activity, and being walkable winds me over. Customer service was good.

Yelp
Hilton San Diego Bayfront has an A+ location as it's located in front of the San Diego Bay, Gaslamp District, and Seaport Village. If you're going to petco park, there is a bridge connected between their parking garage and the world class ball park. Their conference halls are professionally run and they often run in conjunction with events at the SD Convention Center (eg: comic con). This is a business hotel first. As a guest, took advantage of complementary water and $15 dining credit. Beds were very comfortable, but rooms are no-frills and on the smaller side compared to some of their higher priced neighbors; however, it can be significantly cheaper than Manchester Grand Hyatt and Marriott Marquis. Note that their resort fee is $45 and overnight parking is $50; however, that seems pretty standard in this area. If I come here, it's because I have things to do in Gaslamp, Petco Park, the Rady Shell, or the Embarcadero area. The bay area of SD is a great spot to walk and it's in prime real estate. If I didn't have things to do in this immediate area, I think there are areas outside of downtown that are more affordable and convenient.

Yelp
My goodness. I am still dealing with Hilton finance and the hotel. There are billing issues. To get ahold of someone is near impossible. On Tuesday, they said everything was fixed. But it's was just a jumbled up receipt. And no real credit to my account. This is turning into a nightmare. I have wasted 6hrs of my life on hold and trying to fix this. Avoid this hotel at all costs, it's not worth the headache

Yelp
DEAR HILTON BAYFRONT, Thank you for making my Comic Con experience one of the best ever. The resort and Indigo Ballroom were spotless and bathrooms were easy to find! I'm so impressed by the cleanliness of this hotel given the amount of people walking through everyday during SDCC weekend. The Indigo Ballroom was perfect for hosting panels. It's amazing when hotels actually turn the AC on and create a comfortable atmosphere. I loved how cool it was. Additionally, the seats were super cozy and the carpet was cared for. I stopped by to see a few panels and the screens inside the Indigo were pretty sizable. I sat towards the front and there weren't any obstacles in the way. The Hilton went full-force during the SDCC buzz. They had a cool Alien: Earth look and the staff had smiles on their faces. It's fun when the whole city joins in and has a good attitude during the festivities. The pool was decent, not too big, but it's shaded by the hotel structure so that's a win. You get a view of the harbor from the pool and there's tons of beach chairs. If you're a guest, I highly recommend checking out their Hilton's frozen yogurt shop Sweet Things. I stop by for a scope whenever I'm walking down by the bay and it's consistently tasty. It's attached to the side of the hotel next to another shop.

Yelp
This location seems to lower my expectations each time I stay here. I had called a day prior to my check-in and asked if suites are available as a comped upgrade for Diamond members, which they said 'yes upon availability'. So imagine my disappoint when I was told at check-in that there were Corner Suites available but they'd have to charge me $80 per night. The room was definitely not worth the extra charge because the extra sq ft came from the narrow hallway entrance. On top of that, Diamond benefits are minimal here: - Daily Water - Instead of the usual complimentary water bottles, I was given a voucher to redeem for a cheap small aluminum bottle in the hotel store. So every time I need water, I have to go find a water station to refill it. Sooo embarrassingly cheap. - Ice Machine - The ice bucket provided did not have a bag to cover the bucket. On top of that, the ice that was dispensed from the ice machines had hair in them. - Bike Rental - I tried using my voucher at the bike reception, by the pool, for a morning ride along the pier but there was no one manning it. What a waste of a benefit. - $25 F/B credit - Even though the Ice Cream shop is attached to the Hilton, the front desk agent failed to mention that this shop does not accept the hotel credit. Furthermore, the Starbucks that accepts the credit charges a 5% surcharge which makes the F/B credit lose 5% value immediately. The prices are also inflated. No great benefits for Diamond such as comped breakfast buffet, executive lounges, or anything to make the guest feel special for a Mother's Day stay. Oh and btw, parking is a whopping $50.

Yelp
We stayed on the 28th floor and the views were absolutely beautiful. you can see the water and city skyline, which made the stay feel really special. The hotel grounds are gorgeous, and the pool area is just as nice as it looks online. The marketplace downstairs was well-stocked, which was super convenient. Check-in was a little slow and the staff didn't seem particularly happy that day, but it wasn't a big deal overall. The room itself was clean and comfortable, though I did notice a few stains on the couch. Other than that, everything else was great and l'd definitely stay here again for the views alone!

Yelp
I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. I always book through the Capital One travel portal because of their points system. I originally booked a studio suite but later decided to upgrade to a larger room. When I called Capital One to make the change, they couldn't do it on their end and told me to contact the hotel directly. However, when I called the hotel, they also said they were unable to process the upgrade--even though rooms were available and cost wasn't an issue. It really seemed like no one knew how to handle the situation, which was frustrating and disappointing.

Yelp
This Hilton is in the most beautiful, prime location on San Diego Bay. You could not ask for a better location. My view was partially obstructed, but even still, sunset and sunrise was breathtaking looking towards Coronado Bridge. That alone was priceless. I arrived much earlier than my check in time, but to my surprise, my room was ready. This was so exciting because I really wanted to relax after a long morning of travel across time zones. Staff was friendly at the front desk and throughout my stay, texting me to check on things periodically and to keep me updated. This was a nice touch. The only negative for me was the room. It seemed clean enough, but for such a great location and well known brand, it was disappointing to see the condition of the dated furniture. Honestly, replacing the dresser and nightstand and updating the bathroom would make a world of difference. That would also come with an additional cost, but I'm sure people would still be willing to pay. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo which I really don't like. Most modern homes have standalone showers, so it's nice to have the same amenity when traveling. I realize people with small children prefer a tub, but I think that should be available as a special request. Otherwise most of the hotel feels up to date, with nice restaurants and bars and a well stocked market where you could buy sandwiches. The lobby is nice and I like the multiple elevator bays for various floors. All in all this is a great hotel but rooms could use some updates. Conference space is plentiful, with patios off the main Indigo ballroom hallway. There was plenty of room to move around, grab a bite or just relax. Even the rooms in the Indigo lobby and Aqua levels were substantial in size and very comfortable for attending seminars.

Yelp
Overall the experience was great! The room was clean, and they actually offered a full sized crib instead of a pack n play and housekeeping was excellent. My only complaint is the room was warm- we had it as low as it could go (no override would work) and I slept awful the whole week. It was constantly warm. The signage around the hotel is lacking if you avoid the escalators (no signs for the pool or gym even in the elevators), which made things confusing until we figured it out. I do wish the pool bar had hours of operation- they weren't open at all, which a sign or even something on the website would be helpful. The pool is great for all ages and you get plenty of sun there. Be aware there are no changing tables in the restrooms by the pool- very inconvenient for switching a baby into a swim diaper. Overall the location was quiet, the Cannery on-site was nice for snacks (especially with a toddler), as well as the Starbucks. The Embarcadero is nice to walk or run on until Seaport or (if you're feeling wild) the airport! The walkway in the other direction is nice and it's a straight (uphill) shot to the zoo and Balboa park. The free hotel shuttle to Hotel Del was very nice- it's a bus so little kids can ride on it and there is a small "trunk" where we could fit our folded stroller. This is also an ADA accessible van. The bathroom soap and shampoo lathered very nicely, unlike most hotels- which I loved. Overall the stay was pleasant! The

Yelp
I really do like this hotel but there are a couple things that could be improved. First, they have both valet as well as Self parking. In the self parking there are a chargers on every level and you download a blink app in order to pay for parking. Self parking was $50 per night. Also I did not know parking was out on my bill so I also paid it at the kiosk I arrived on a Thursday evening, around 6:15 PM. Walked in and I counted eight people standing at the check-in encounters. I was the only customer. Zero of them invited me to the counter to check in with them. I chose. He was very nice. He had to walk away for a few minutes to get. The other is just continue to stand around chatting with each other. It was definitely a turn off from a first impression standpoint From there, I did get much better. I brought two toy poodles with me. I chose the rate that included free breakfast. What I loved about that instead of you going somewhere and eating a buffet breakfast, there is a Starbucks outside of the promenade level that you can get a drink and a sandwich or something for breakfast in the morning. They also offered tickets for two free bottles of water to pick up at a little store again at the Promenade level. Staff in there was great. I appreciate these little things. They make you feel appreciated and also just make it a little bit more convenient for the stay. If you are taking a dog here, they are not accommodating, but they are pet friendly. Meaning they don't offer any beds or dog bowls or anything like that. We saw a handful of pets. And on the floor that we stayed in, we did not hear any barking dogs There are two ways to get to grass for your pet to relieve themselves. Either of the escalators on the main lobby floor, which is the second, will take you two separate sides of the building and offer you a short walk to some grass. Note that the first floor promenade level does not connect from one end of the Hotel to the other. You either need to choose one escalator or the other on the main floor or you have to walk around the Hotel. Special shout out to Maryann the Brand ambassador, who took the time to explain to me the layout of the hotel and options for taking the dogs out. She took a nice walk with me to show me how I could access different elevators and escalators to get to where I need to go. I really appreciated that You have a few restaurants on site. I got carry out one night from Hudson and Nash and ate there with 5 others the next night. The food was great although the service left a lot to be desired. It was beyond slow and it was 8 o'clock at night with barely anybody in the restaurant. That was definitely a frustrating point. The night before Shannon was the hostess and she was great. But There are other options within the hotel. And there is a lot within walking distance. A great dole whip /açaí place too. Service there is great. The rooms were clean and spacious Comfortable, although I had to call guest services to have the hold on my thermostat go down to less than 68, as it was too warm in my room. I put it on 68 but they were still showing it was 73 in my room, but that was a very easy fix for the maintenance, they did a good job of following up to make sure that was good. In the room, they have a very fresh and lightly scented brand, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and I don't recall the brand, but it was not too strong on the scent I was there for a conference and everything was very well organized and people were friendly and helpful. You cannot being right by the water. Great place to get your steps in. I was out at 5am and felt very safe. I also got tickets to do one free hour of bike rental or kayaking. It's always nice to be outside and at least do something. If you don't mind walking prob 15 min you can also get to the convention center. Overall I had a great stay. The good offset the little offs.

Yelp
I think there was some kind of business conference going on because the lobby was packed! We got there a little early and tried to check in, but our room wasn't ready, so we waited at their on-site bar, Odysea. About an hour later, we didn't receive any notification, so we went back to the front desk and finally got the key to our room. They also gave us complimentary water bottles. Our room was clean and comfortable. I think the best part was having a partial view of San Diego Bay and the downtown area. Parking is available at their onsite parking structure next to the hotel and costs $45 a day. Pro tip: the pedestrian bridge to Petco Park is accessible from the 3rd floor of the parking structure. There is also a mandatory destination fee and includes WiFi, $15 daily food and beverage credit, 1-hour bike or kayak rental, bike locker rental, transportation to Coronado Island and beach, PressReader access, and one reusable water bottle per registered guest. THE RETURN? I'd come back because of their close proximity to the downtown area and we overall had a positive experience during our stay. The only hiccup was not notifying us to let us know our room was ready. Not a deal breaker, but waiting around for an hour after the official check-in time wasn't good service.

Yelp
Had the pleasure of staying here for NYE 2022 into 2023. I got to revisit this place on NYE 2024-2025. It is a fairly nice venue. The set up is kind of strange a lot of escalators, the elevators are not easy & stairwells were confusing. Also the entrances to & from the event were off. Walking in 6 inch platforms several times around the grounds to get back in is not fun. If you are a Comic Con fan then you are familiar with this hotel and it's grounds. They usually do a lot of outside of Comic Con events. I know a few times I did attend some panels here as well.

Yelp
Pillows, horrible. No mini fridge. Workers on every level asking if you are an awards member. Everyday harassed by these guys. Sometimes multiple times a day. I know they have a job to do, but it's really bad when you have to find a longer route to the exits or getting to the elevators. Also, the "convince" store wants you to tip them. It's very hard to get around that. Tipping a cashier for a water is crazy to me. Want to get souvenirs, leave the building and walk to one to pay half the price you would at the Hilton Bayfront. $72 for a shirt was a bit much. Until I saw the same shirt elsewhere for $20! Same brand. Want privacy? Tell the front desk and they will have house keeping put a sign on your door knob. Staff were super nice and helpful. That's all I can really say that is positive.

Yelp
I came for a conference. 1st they gave me keys and waited for a couple hours so I called the front desk. Ohhh they gave me the wrong room . Had to go back in the long long line to get my keys. The conference food was not good. Breakfast the eggs are steamed so watery. The chicken is not good. They can do better us paying over $300 a night.

Yelp
First time staying here. In town for a conference. Check in was easy and they had Friendly guest services. There's a Hilton vacation club rep in the lobby at all times, i had to tell them no thanks, so many times. Upon check-in, you're given a voucher for a small bottle of water that you get at their little shop on the first level. Then you are able to refill that small bottle of water on floors 1 through 5 at a water refill station near the bathrooms. If you scan the barcode in your room, it will take you to a map of the resort, its helpful. The room was clean and cozy. There is a fridge but make sure it's on. No microwave. Housekeeper was great. I really like that the front desk team will text you and checkin with you throughout your stay. and you're able to text them whenever you need anything. It was a little weird. You do have to go outside in order to get to our conference room area. However, the banquet to be team did a really good job today. The food, snacks and service Overall, good stay and experience.

Yelp
Great location! Shuttle to Coronado Hotel & Beach. No complementary food but good restaurant & bar. The room was clean and we had a great view. Would stay here again.

Yelp
I reserved two rooms for my birthday weekend. One of our travel party needs a fridge, and while I was at it, I figured, let me ask about microwaves. We booked corner King and Queen suites. Thank goodness I called the front desk prior to our travel. "Do these rooms have a fridge and a microwave?" "No, only the Presidential suite has a mini-fridge. There is a microwave available in the lobby." Over $400 a night and not even the simplest of amenities? Gosh, even motel hells have that. Hard pass.

Yelp
I've stayed here a few times in the past, but this last visit was very enjoyable. From Santa Claus and Christmas carolers in the lobby to a nice room upgrade (Gold Hilton Honors), there were a lot of little things to make this visit special. The text messaging was very responsive, with Zeshan and Mariana providing top-notch support and service. Thank you for an incredible stay! Quick tip... don't advertise this too widely, but Rooms XX35 are corner rooms with amazing views!

Yelp
Will just start with - it's nice but it's expensive! I stayed here during a conference at the convention center which is right next door. The location is convenient but the nightly rate was like $350, I think that's a bit much (I'm still in training) but maybe other people wouldn't think that's high. The suites here are lovely, I had a nice big room with a couch and a king bed, it was VERY comfortable. The shower was immaculate, had nice smelling products, and good water pressure on the shower head. It has a sleek, modern look to everything in and around the hotel. I used the gym once - it's decent, it has some treadmills/standard gym equipment and free weights. There's a pool just outside the gym area and a spa on the other side of the gym - I didn't use either so can't comment on them. My room was bay-facing, the view of Coronado was nice if you didn't pay attention to shipping barges in the foreground lol. I did appreciate that this hotel connects directly to the bay front walk though, that was nice in the mornings :) Overall i had a very favorable stay here, it's a nice hotel. Given the cost I wouldn't have stayed if it wasn't paid for due to the conference but if given the choice again, yeah I would select this as my hotel choice.

Yelp
It's a great spot with excellent service but ridiculously high prices! Came for a conference. Food at the restaurants is okay. The rooms were clean, and the bed and pillow were comfortable. The view from the room was spectacular! Loved that I was able to go for a long waterfront walk.

Yelp
I was here for a work meeting and was very impressed with this hotel - I am typically a Marriott loyalist but found a number of features here that could encourage me to try Hiltons more often! First loved the fact that when I checked in on the app it showed me the room they had selected for me but also allowed me to make other choices but as it was I ended up being upgraded to a higher floor with pretty spectacular views! The room was large and clean. Loved the fact that it came with a fridge as many no longer provide that and very comfortable beds! It was also completely dark at night with no annoying or unnecessary lights! I do wish the night stand had a plug as it was a pain having to charge things near the TV - small point - and the AC seemed to kick off at night no matter how low I put it making the room a little too warm at times! Rooms were cleaned early each day - great pool, two coffee shops on sight and great proximity to the Stadium, East Village, the Gas Lamp and Seaport Village! Would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Not worth the stay. They overcharge for parking which is insane as a guest staying at the hotel. It's expensive for what they don't offer you. Take it from me and stay at the Marriott, they at-least have included parking with your stay. Also to add to that the front desk there said the parking came with it not paid separately so why is everyone being misinformed? Will not be staying here again for a San Diego trip. Let's not be greedy and allow your guest to enjoy their stay without any unnecessary additional fees of parking at your hotel..

Yelp
First, the lobby was nice and welcoming. Very clean. The check in process went smoothly. The room was, for the most part, nice, as you would expect from a Hilton property. The view of the Seaport Village and Coronado Island from our room was marvelous! The only thing was there was a wet spot on the carpet right outside the door of the bathroom. At first I didn't think anything of it, but at the end of our stay it was still a bit damp. Not sure what was going on there. We checked inside of the bathroom and there were no leaks and no water seeping from the shower to the door. It was indeed a mystery. They have a convenient little market downstairs at the promenade. Lots to choose from. Next door is the Hudson and Nash restaurant where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Across from that is a very nice gift shop. The promenade also connects you to the very nice outdoor swimming pool. There is also a Starbucks and a smoothie place downstairs, which is also where you can also catch the complimentary shuttle bus to Coronado beach. I always love Hilton's (every Hilton Hotel) accommodations. They never disappoint.

Yelp
The many hotels and the Resorts that O have been to iscI like to see and feel of the place that people talk about for a place can be bad and yet it maybe one of the best places you have traveled to Taking the day out and traveling over to the Hilton Bayside near the San Diego Concention center has been the one that towers over the San Diego Bay. The looks over the bay you can see the many areas of the Coronado Island and the Naval Shops that come and sail back to the zones. Today's trip to the Hilton was to see the Hilton having seen the outside this trip was when I arrived I was looking at the lower entrance to be greeted . When I came to the upstairs area they had bellmen greeting and helping people at the top level there was none at the main level. Coming to see the Ms y decorations asking the concierge about the activities that was scheduled it gives me a look of how the concierge works. Asking the concierge he was able to give me the holiday schedule direct contact shows how good the employees are trained good customer service they have at the desk. Being at the Hilton Hotel I was greeted by the Hotel Ambassadors that showed great customer service I look for great customer service today was the best. Arriving at the hotel it surprised me greatly the beautiful decorations the addition of Dr Seuss the large ginger Bread House and the brightly decorated Christmas trees just beautiful to see a beautiful Christmas is just wonderful. Looking over the many areas of the Hilton at the Bayside with the many hardwood paneled areas great design . As a Yelp Elite Reviewer from the many hotels and resorts the Hilton has a creative use of art and the color blue one. Of the coolest colors . The things that I saw told me so much that the Hilton is one Hotel Resort that I will be returning and return business it has great prices currently.

Yelp
It's within walking distance to sea port village and gas lamp but the hotel is 3 star the following are the reasons: 1-Small overcrowded pool next the container parking lot don't be deceive by the hotel website picture 2- Room was dirty with hairs on the floor and shower curtain and dust everywhere 3- Coronado bridge view was a disaster, you could see a little bit of the bridge and the rest was this ugly parking lot full of containers and cranes and cement manufacturing.... 4- Coffee maker was a joke?!!!! From when coffee maker was invented and it was all dirty inside 5- The hotel only has one restaurant to it at with 4 main course option!!! 6- The entire hotel is outdated and in desperate need of renovation Overall if you are staying for business that's ok but don't book this hotel for anything else 7- Be aware if $45 overnight parking + $20 valet on the top of that I will give a 3.5 star

Yelp
Would recommend for the bay view, drinks in the bar and proximity. However staying here is questionable. This was our First time in this hotel and the experience was not good. Our Room we selected as a HH member was changed, frig in room didn't work, remote was missing, room keys were not coded correctly, and only two of five elevators were working with no signage posted. We waited, and I'm not joking, 25 mins for an elevator to get down to the lobby! We finally had to enter a one that was going UP five floors and then stopped at each level, to others waiting, just to go down! We were on the 19th floor. A poor Alaska Airline pilot we were waiting with hopefully made his flight! I'm sure this was just an unexpected day of flukes. But, enough to decide we stay somewhere else next time.

Yelp
Trash! Don't go here. Terrible service and WILDLY over priced food/drinks. Naw. It took 25 min to get 3 drinks!!

Yelp
I checked in here yesterday for a conference. My room is filthy. There is a film of dust everywhere and black hairs throughout the room. The bathroom might be from the 1990's and the tub is stained. (I tried to clean it myself but the dark color would not budge). The privacy tag might be 40 years old. I went to the desk this morning and the man there told me the hotel would be renovated "soon". He also claimed it is renovated every 5 years. He said since it had not been renovated in 5 years (yeah, right!) that my complaints are to be expected. I said, "Black hairs and dust?!" He admitted no to that and said he would request housekeeping come to my room. That was a few hours ago. No one has been here. Wow. The lack of attention to detail and customer service here is mind boggling! Sadly, I have two more nights in this filth.

Yelp
The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the incredible staff and received a free room upgrade! Our view was breathtaking! The hotel is beautiful, located close to the water and the Gaslamp Quarter. There are numerous restaurants and bars within walking distance. Grab a coffee at Spill The Beans and eat at La Puerta. I highly recommend this hotel!

Yelp
It's great to own Hilton properties time shares. We booked a one night stay at this beautiful Hilton Bayfront location in SD to watch Lane 8 at the Gallagher Square/ Petco Park . ( only a 10 minute walk from the Hilton) The only reason why I'm not giving this location a 5 stars is because the doors of the rooms are so heavy that when it closes, it sounds like someone slams the door. We had a next door next that kept on going in and out of his or her room the whole night. So the door was slamming pretty much the night. Other than that. The room was fantastic. Nice comfy king bed and a good size bathroom and shower. Our room 2257 had a beautiful view of the bay and SD City. The customer service was professional and friendly. (Self parking $45 Valet $60 ) Overall, we enjoyed our one night stay. We'll definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Hotel charged me $41.00 extra per night and then REFUSED to issue me a correct receipt. New receipt has same false amount on it. If you are on orders or traveling on per diem do not stay here. Your receipt will not pass OFMPC guidelines for reimbursement.

Yelp
I wish I could've stayed longer. Stayed here for 3 days, 2 nights. A very clean, nice, hotel with polite staff. We arrived a few hours earlier than check-in time and our room was ready. No fuss, no muss (or however the saying goes). We were given the option of upgrading to a bayfront view, we kept the original reservation. View from the room was ok. Overlooked the Coronado bridge. "It is what it is" - Rene Descartes (the review is about the hotel, not the view). Clean beds, bathroom, floors, etc. We didn't break out the white gloves and the black lights cause this is a hotel room. We are here to drop our stuff off and experience San Diego. Housekeeping was SOOOOO polite. And they worked quickly (Thank you thank you). The pool and hot tubs were very nice. The view of the sunset from the pool was amazing. I didn't get a chance to try the restaurants in the hotel but that's for next time. Close to PetCo Park (you can fall forward and you're there), across the way from the convention center, not too far of a walk from stores and Gaslamp area. I mean...what else do you want? Clean hotel, nice staff, clean pool/hot tub area, close to things to do. That's it...enjoyed it.

Yelp
This is our favorite hotel in San Diego! It is an amazing location: right on the water and just a walking bridge away from Petco Park. If you get a room with an ocean view, you may want to just hang out there! The hotel has a heated outdoor pool, a couple of restaurants, and both dessert and coffee shops on site. You may get lucky and hear a concert at the local amphitheater just down the pier. Check in was smooth - Mariana was very knowledgeable and helpful. If you have time, take their shuttle to Coronado. It's amazing! We love this location and can't wait to return - hopefully this summer!

Yelp
I had reviewed the Hilton Bayfront over 5 years ago and felt that an update would be in order. Location 4: Next to San Diego bay, across from the Coronado Island. Excellent short walking distance to the San Diego Convention Center which is end-capped by this Hilton and the Marriott. Slightly longer walking distance to the PETCO Park stadium and the Gaslamp district which features great restaurants and a vibrant nightlife. Venue 3: Modern, nicely appointed and HUGE! Designed to handle convention crowds. They also get huge concert and game crowds from the nearby PETCO Park who park at the hotel structure and stay overnight after the event. Rooms are nice but on the smaller side. Rooms in the north side have great views of the bay as well as the downtown. Rooms on the south side get views of the bay and the Coronado Bridge, but also the unsightly Dole container yard. The rooms have not changed since I reviewed the hotel over 5 years ago, and their age and wear and tear shows. I would vote for some renovation work :) The parking structure is large but a mess. The room keys almost never work for entrance or exit, and you have to press the call button for someone to let you out. The Hilton app digital key never worked on the parking gates for me either. Staff confirmed that they have problems with the gates and are working on them. Except, I was told the same 5 years ago also :D The Hilton app digital key only works on the room doors when it wants to :D Service 4: I experienced no issues during my interactions with the staff. Check in and Check Out lines however (which I didn't use) seemed quite long. Food and drinks 3: I only had Starbucks and purchased some food and drinks from their convenience store. Just about your average hotel set up. The last word 3: Convenient location and ok experience. Would stay there again.

Yelp
This is my first time staying at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. I think the actual hotel is beautiful, my room was clean, they have nice amenities. I did not get a chance to get to the pool but you need a wrist band for that apparently. I initially went to the front desk and asked the concierge about water, she said they didn't give it until you were a Hilton honors member- which I was, so she gave me vouchers for the store downstairs. When I initially asked her about the digital key when I first entered the hotel, I think she should have given all that information as every Hilton I go to always greets you with a warm welcome, explains the hotel amenities. etc. it was really crowded today likely because it's Memorial Day weekend. Overall the location seems nice, they have a Starbucks on site and you can walk to the gas lamp quarter.

Yelp
If you're looking for a relaxing hotel experience in San Diego, I'd strongly suggest staying anywhere else but the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. The pool is noticeably undersized for a hotel of this scale -- overcrowded and underwhelming. Want to enjoy a beer while you're there? Be ready to pay $11.46 for a 12oz Coors Light can -- thanks to an automatic 20% gratuity and an additional 5% fee. And just in case that's not enough, they make it easy for you to double-tip if you're not paying attention. If you enjoy feeling nickel-and-dimed, this place has mastered the art. There is a $15 daily resort credit, but no one bothered to mention it at check-in. By the time we discovered it mid-trip, it was too late -- and the service team offered no help or flexibility. Elevators were constantly backed up, the Wi-Fi was unreliable (worked for about two-thirds of our stay), and our room was sparsely stocked: only one roll of toilet paper, one coffee cup, and an unexpected 6 AM wake-up courtesy of a leftover alarm from the previous guest. Attention to detail was clearly not a priority. The one major benefit? Proximity to Petco Park. If you're going to a Padres game, the location is excellent. But if you're choosing between the Hilton Bayfront, the Marriott Marquis, or the Manchester Grand Hyatt -- choose either of the latter. Both are significantly better options.

Yelp
A great hotel. Very clean, friendly front desk staff, and comfortable beds. They serve a great breakfast with a good variety of hot food, coffee, juices and fresh fruit.

Yelp
Wanted a staycation getaway on the water and this for the bull. Great corner junior suite that they upgraded us to and the service and accommodation's was great for the most part. Took off one star because the fridge didn't work and instead of switching it out they just brought in a second one to sit on the floor. The biggest issue was there was a major union strike that was going on in front of hotel that was extremely loud and could be heard on our 6th floor suite. I felt terrible about crossing g the picket lines. I hope that both sides comE to a mutual agreement. I would have taken off another star but they comped me free self parking and breakfast. I'd stay again if it wasn't during a strike.

Yelp
We called and asked if they had any rooms which could sleep four people, and had three sleep surfaces, be it bed or pull out couches. We are a family with two kids who are too young for an adjoining room setup. The person I spoke to was wonderful and explained the king suite had a king bed, pullout couch, and they would provide a rollaway cot. I asked if we could book that room and put in writing that we needed the rollaway cot. Our reservation email had a note stating there would be a rollaway cot. When we arrived, the room had no cot and the couch was not a pullout bed. We talked to the front desk, and long story short, they refused to provide a cot and claimed it was a fire hazard. We showed our reservation with the notes, and they said that the reservation was done through a third party and that they don't have any rooms that have a bed, pullout couch, and can fit a cot. We called the hotel directly, so how is that a third party booking? They offered to move us to a queen room that could have a cot, but there was no couch in the queen room. The rate for that room was higher than the rate for the king suite as we had booked far in advance. On top of that, we chose an option which included breakfast. The breakfast was two coupons for $25 towards their restaurant or a Starbucks drip coffee and breakfast sandwich. For four people. We ate at the restaurant, because we had no other options and needed to make our flight. It was over $100 for two coffees, two kid meal breakfasts, avocado toast and chilaquiles. The coffee was quite good, the food was beautifully plated and presented, but pretty inedible. The kids meals and chilaquiles tasted like a dollar store microwave dinner. You know it's bad when little kids won't eat the potato wedges and a fat lady leaves 90% of her breakfast untouched. The avocado toast was not fresh avocado, but a shelf stable guac of some sort with an ice cold hard boiled egg on top of cold untoasted bread. Adding some micro greens for visual appeal didn't help the taste.

Yelp
There are certainly better options out there. I booked my free earned nights using my Hilton credits as a Diamond member. Called a week before to see if how full the hotel was and was confirmed that there was still plenty of room and selected room using the app. There was an average of 15 rooms to select from on each floor with the 2 queen bed configuration. When I arrived at the front desk, I wasn't surprised to hear that there are no upgrades available as this has been their standard response. So 2 years into being a Diamond member they have still never upgraded me once. The hotel is in a decent location by the SD Harbor and has a nice walking path. It had an ok view of the water but also shared by a loading dock of the Dole factory. The parking garage was owned by the city and Hilton does not offer any free parking nor assumes any responsibility of any malfunctions of the entry equipment which has given me problems every day of my stay. The rooms seems very dated and ready for a refresh. Our room's sink was clogged and we had to call for service. The water pressure was horrible and the temp would constantly cycle from scalding to cold which was very dangerous when you are trying to shower young children. Bed is just ok but that isn't saying much lol. There are no bottles of water in the room and I had to ask why. The front desk was supposed to offer us vouchers for us to retrieve water bottles in the store at the bottom floor. Afterwards, you need to take those bottles are refill them at the refill stations at the 1st and 2nd floors which is good for the environment but horrible if you have young children and constantly need to leave the room. Oh you get $15 credit per guest per night. Now before you get all excited let me remind you again that Paris Hilton is rich for a reason. This is a hoax. When you go down to the market downstairs you'll see how everything is ridiculously inflated. When I say ridiculous I mean like Vegas day club pricing. You want a banana? That'll be $2.50 each. And when you go to pay, they'll ask for 22, 24, or 26% tip. Tip for ME going to buy something? What service did you provide? But wait there's more. Every purchase also has a 4% surcharge! So if you want that single slice of cheese pizza for $10.50 (yes I said slice) and a soda, that'll set you back $15.60 before tax if you don't wanna add a nice tip lol. Maybe hotels in the area cater to business travelers visiting the convention center but most people has a meal per diem so I think it's still not wise to spend your money here unless you are so ill that you don't want to leave the premises. If it wasn't for my room credit, I would have booked a different hotel in the area.

Yelp
The hotel is clean with a very friendly staff. We arrived almost five hours before check-in and was told our room was not ready. But they did the check-in and said they would text us when our room was ready and tell us our room number. It was ready before we sinuses our lunch. The room was a corner suite which was bright, super clean and the bed was very comfortable. It is just about across the street from the convention center (which is why we picked this place) and a ten minute walk to the Padres home stadium. BTW the Odyssey Bar had one of the best Old Fashions I have ever had in a hotel. My only complaint and it could be a big complaint is the website says that they offer free breakfast for every registered guest. They no longer do but have not changed the website. When an average breakfast without gratuity is about thirty dollars. Staying here for five days it is over it added $300 to the bill. I would have left this as a four star review IF they offered us a free cocktail coupon or made good on whet the website promised.

Yelp
I was here for a conference and it was one of the best Hilton properties I have stayed at. Welcomed warmly by the front desk, provided complimentary bottles of water at check in and gave me a quiet room per my request. The view from the room was fabulous! View of the bay to the left and the gaslamp quarters to the right. Top notch! Room was comfortable, toiletries standard across the Hilton properties. I needed a toiletry item from the front desk and it was diligently sent to my room in the morning! The breakfast buffet at Hook and Nash was decent , maybe pricey at 30 USD, but again you pay for the view of the bay ! I also bought a few things from the marketplace with food and beverage credit, a convenient option on the property! I loved the look and feel of the lobby too! This will be my preferred Hilton property to stay at whenever I am at San Diego!!

Yelp
First off, the hotel is very nice and clean. Rooms were clean. However, I booked three rooms here for a wedding and we arrived at 315 to check in, couldn't check in cause rooms weren't ready. Check in is at 3pm. So we waited until 415 before we got in. We are diamond members and didn't even get one thing. Not even sorry. Most of front desk was rude and didn't have care in the world about their customers. Very disappointed in Hilton, especially for this hotel being the "Hilton" name
