Hilton Sonoma Wine Country

called in advance for early check in, but when I arrived the room wasn't ready. They said they would get it cleaned right away, fortunately a colleague was also staying so I was able to work from her room while waiting for mine. 4 hours later, the room was finally clean...and because it was the room right next door to where I was waiting i knew that it hadn't actually been cleaned for 4 hours but had been used as the storage room while they cleaned the rest of the floor. The room my colleague was in was supposed to have been cleaned when she checked in, but housecleaning came to her door 3 times asking if she wanted the room cleaned (she had just checked in). Some of the Hilton Honors perks were forgotten which isn't a big deal,but after waiting for hours to get into my room just made the whole experience more frustrating. The room itself was nice, very large. The hotel complex is bigger than I expected so you want to get your room before taking luggage out. The restaurant location had gorgeous views and great outdoor seating with heat lamps and fire pits. Overall I'm sure it is usually a great hotel; my causation for anyone needing early or late check in or check out.

Great location for wine tasting, which is the main reason for selecting this hotel. There happened to be a wine tasting in the lobby when we checked in...that was a nice greeting! Overall, the hotel is quite dated, thin doors and walls, could hear neighbors above us...but it was still very comfortable. Large rooms. Breakfast buffet in the restaurant was a good way to start the morning. Will likely return to this hotel on a future visit.

Please clean the mold from the bath tubs... This I not what I expect from a Hilton. But all the problems I had I blame on whoever is in charge of the house keeping... Single ply bath tissue is jut not cool. Don't be cheap it's not a motel 6... When a guest asked for a few more towel and shampoos don't huff... The maid acted like it was her shampoo... The bath run need to have to caulking replaced it's all moldy... Yuck!!! But all the other things were great. Staff was great pool was hot in the middle winter hot tub was nice and big and clean. Food was great. So i still give them 4 stars but a major firing and hiring needs to go on in the house keeping section... From the top down and soon I would say,

Pretty good hotel. There was a complimentary wine tasting on Friday, which came with cheese. And they offered Saturday morning yoga, though I didn't end up going. My only complaint, and I have this same complaint about all hotels, it's that the pillows are too thin and squishy. I prefer firmer pillows. Overall, my stay was slightly better than an average hotel stay.

Great location up on a bluff. Great pool and gets full sun until late afternoon. I had a room on the third floor and felt like being in a loft. Furniture feels a little dated and old. But bed was comfortable refrigerator and microwave in the room. No complimentary breakfast, but you can get at the restaurant on premiss.

Hotel itself was comfortable. A bit dated for a Hilton. Beds were comfortable. I was a bit disappointed that when in the shower realized that the shampoo had been used by a previous occupant & replaced. Also, the tile floor had visible dirt marks. Their exercise room is a detached bldg alongside their outdoor pool & was decently equipped. All staff were courteous.

The rooms have not been updated since the 1990's. Carpet is old, stained, and dirty both in hallways and in rooms. There is a moldy/damp smell as one walks into each building (the hotel is laid out as several buildings). Bathrooms look their age. As does decor (drapes, furniture, etc...). The beds are way way way too soft. I have stayed here 4-5 times this year (2016). Bottom line: expect an old and outdated decor. Weight room is decent, pool is ok as well. Restaurant is good. No issues there. Safe travels!

I personally didn't stay the night at the hotel but the person we visited did and the room was a pretty standard room which seemed pretty over priced. Had a pretty nice view of the area though. I had a bloody Mary from the bar which for $11 I expect some quality. Unfortunately the only quality was from the upgraded vodka I chose. My experience wasn't a bad one at all. However, for how expensive everything is it isn't worth it in my opinion.
