Loved our stay at the Hilton St. Augustine’s Bayfront. Great location and wonderful views with so much to see and do. We stayed in Dec 2024 when the area was beautifully lit up for the holidays. We booked a room and needed a 2nd room which was not easy to secure during this time. Brandon was able to help us secure a 2nd room which was very much appreciated. All the staff were wonderful. Gabriel was a wealth of knowledge and helped with any questions we had. Ivan was very accommodating and very friendly. Could not have asked for better staff. Kudos to Hilton on hiring such well mannered professionals. Dinner was excellent, the red snapper was amazing. Breakfast uses fresh cracked eggs and was delicious.

This hotel's characteristics, location, setting, history, and service were perfect - but very pricey, too! ||Another draw back is the Parking situation. There is no-self parking --- only Valet Parking is available at $40.00 per day.||Love staying at this historic hotel in St Augustine - it is worth it!!!||I look forward to returning here - again!

Loved my stay. The rooms were showing some wear but we still enjoyed. Love being able to walk out the door and be so close to everything. Also, I do wish there was a self parking option rather than the forced valet. It's expensive and I just don't like valet service in general for my vehicles. I don't care for others to drive them or possibly damage or plunder.

Stayed here during the Nights of Lights. Perfect location. Everything you need and want to see is within walking distance, including great restaurants. Had one issue when we arrived with the TV in our room not working. They sent someone to the room immediately to try to fix it. When they were unable to fix it they gave us another room and comped our parking fee. Definitely recommend this hotel.

The Rudest Check-Out Front Desk Director We’ve Ever Experienced We spent $400 per night at this hotel. However, during check-out, the front desk person with the cashier ID DIRECTOR2 was extremely rude. Not only did he fail to greet us when we approached the front desk, but he also didn’t ask how our stay was. The front desk was not busy at all during check-out, making it even more bizarre that a director would behave so unprofessionally and tarnish Hilton’s reputation (a 4-star hotel). I hope this director was not trying to “lead by example” with such a rude attitude. If so, he certainly failed, as everyone else—including the valet staff and the check-in personnel—was exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

Google
Unpleasant check-in. Hot water in sink didn’t work. Workers replacing brick pavers directly behind our room sounded as if they were with us. TV didn’t work until maintenance found it had been unplugged. Every complaint to front desk was ignored or “someone will be there” who never appeared. Have stayed here several times before. But this was not worth the hassle.

Hotel is old. Rooms are old and basic even in a premium suite. Nothing exciting. Leaky hallways that smell musty see photos. Balcony is not private and is shared with your next-door neighbor. The gym is laughable no TV no radio. A nonworking peloton . Basic weights and some cardio equipment. Only redeeming Property here but the front desk staff was good. The valet staff was good and the restaurant was excellent. The hot tub worked and was a good temperature. Pool cold. We won’t be coming back ever.

This will be my third year staying at your hotel for Christmas with our family. We absolutely love the location and the staff has always been amazing.. This year was a big disappointment due to the hotel restaurant manager. When we checked in took us a while to get a room. However, they did give us a voucher for free drinks so we went to the bar. We where thankful for the nice gesture from Dan at the front desk. He is great very helpful & knowledgeable. The bartender on was OK nothing great. The drinks took a long time to get. But that was ok no big deal. We where a hungry so we wanted a bite to eat. I noticed this lady running around. She clearly work there. I asked her if she could please get us a menu we wanted to get some appetizers & a steak she rudely said. VERY Loudly “I AM TO BUSY “ ASK YOUR BARTERDER!!! EVERYONE turned around lookiing at us. I was so embarrassed & upset ! OK well I’ve stayed with this company for many years that’s not Hilton etiquette . That’s just plain RUDE ! She did not have a name tag on so I had to ask the bartender what her name was. The gentleman stated her name was Shitriz & she was the manager. SERIOUSLY this is who you have running your restaurant team? THIS IS RIDICULOUS ! We decided to leave after the rudeness that we just encountered My family and I were going to sit and eat & listen to the music. How ever my wife & I didn’t want that lady waiting on us NO WAY!!! I stopped at the front desk and said some thing to the gentleman working the desk. I think his name was Gabe. I said your server Shitriz is very rude person she needs a lesson on speaking to guests & the staff. He apologized for her rudeness. We are diamond members and get a $30 credit per day and we didn’t even want to use the credit ! We ended up going to River n Fort spending $300. WE HAD AMAZING SERVICE! When I come to the Hilton, I expect amazing service, friendliness, and professionalism. EVERYTIME I’ve stayed at your hotel in past stays where great. This was a disappointment… Unfortunately one bad apple will ruin the taste in your mouth. Your restaurant needs to step up there management game. This miserable lady belongs working at Dennys not the Hilton ! The next day we were having the Christmas brunch. I let the nice hostess know that I did not want that rude server Shitriz taking care of us & ruining our Christmas meal. The hostess apologized apparently this happeneds frequently with this server? We saw her running around frantically ! THANKFULLY we got a super sweet server Anna. She was professional attentive, and very kind. The Christmas Buffet was just OK nothing great it . Most of the food was really bland & luke warm . The food didn’t seem up to the quality of Hilton standards that we had in the prior years & at other Hilton properties. However my wife did love her peppermint martini. She said it was the best she’s ever had she loved the recipe. Not sure what’s going on with your Kitchen Chefs in your restaurant. But I hope you guys get it together. We left 100% dissatisfied. We were told the buffet was $91.99 pp But where charged $94.99 pp Which was way to much for the quality of food. Moving forward The rooms & the location were great!!! The Valet guys outside are amazing.. The holiday lights outside the hotel spectacular. Front desk gentleman both where fantastic. Stay away from the Aviles restaurant in the hotel. Do your self a favor. There are plenty of amazing restaurants with outstanding chefs with top notch food right outside the doors.. Fellow Diamond members Explore your dining options..

Yelp
Great location, service and hotel! If you're planning a trip to St Augustine, this is the perfect place to stay!

Yelp
This little hotel is so pretty and clean. Reception area a bit small but classy. Our room was clean and cozy. There have a pool in the front of the hotel with a jacuzzi, they both close at down. Conveniently located close to restaurants and bars a walk away. The view of the water from our room was a plus.

Yelp
Located in a fantastic location with very nice rooms. NOTE - Parking is $40 a day! If I knew that in advance, I would have parked somewhere else. Located downtown walking distance to all shopping, restaurants, & waterfront so it's a great location. Bartenders & parking attendents were friendly & provided great service. Room was roomy & very nice. My only issues with the room was the toilet paper holder which did not keep the rolls on too well & the fact that when you want to turn the shower on, you just step in to turn it on getting cold water on yourself - that was not fun!

Yelp
First visit to this hotel and 5 stars all around. Valet was attentive at check in area and bellman and front desk staff were hospitable and efficient. We were lucky with short notice to get a front facing end room and were able to see the 4th of July fireworks from our room and hear the music that went on most of the day: Single pane windows could use a cleaning. King bed was comfortable and whole room and bathroom was vinyl plank so no nasty carpeting. Make luggage movement easy and helps tremendously with allergies. Bathroom shower was very clean with ample towels. Shower had several rubber mats accessible to prevent slipping. Yeah! Good water pressure too. Higher toilet. All very well cleaned and updated. Housekeeping came in and refreshed towels and made the bed after the first night. Shocked!! Restaurant was between services so ordered from room service which took awhile but restaurant was slammed bc of so many people coming early for 7/4 fireworks show later in the evening. We were in no hurry to eat and fortunately food quality was very much worth the wait. Burger and the charred romaine salad and beef tips salads were all superb! Apple tarts were delivered in a second trip as they came out of the oven. Yummy! The bellman and car porters were prompt coming to help us check out when we left. Highly recommend!!!

Beth E.

Yelp
First time stay here and you can't beat the location. You can walk to everywhere and the views of the water are nice. We just got a standard room with a king size bed and the room was fine, really no different than rooms in other Hiltons, although maybe a bit smaller. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were NOT. Bring your own pillow. The shower pressure was GREAT. We used the restaurant for breakfast and it was nice. We also used the pool, which was nice for a cool off. Disgusting guests threw cigarette butts in the pool which I cleaned out What is wrong with people?

Vlada R.

Yelp
When hotel is advertised under Hilton brand, and prouds itself with water front and historic district location, you would expect a better view for your money. $40 for the only available valet parking for this hotel tells you they think of hotel as a high price luxurious establishment. Then, maybe do not offer rooms with this view during construction? Very disappointed in Hilton, very

Yelp
Location is amazing! Just outside the hotel is the entire historic district, old fort, drawbridge all ready 4 u to explore. Couldn't b easier to walk around from here. Valet was fine. Pillows/bed were comfy. Staff was nice & tried to b helpful, but seemed overwhelmed/understaffed. That's where the positives end for me. Everything else was meh to bad & only compensated for b/c of the awesome location. First, this is only a Hilton in name. It is NOT ur typical Hilton experience, cleanliness, responsiveness, service level. Sounds like this is a franchise of Hilton (per an employee) so is not managed by Hilton corporate & it definitely shows! Felt like they r cutting corners. When entering the lobby, ur bombarded by the most overpowering potpourri smell I've ever experienced. If ur sensitive to smells, this is definitely not the place 4 u! Really really strong & consequently bad. R they covering up another smell? What is so bad they use this level of faux fragrance? Thought we'd eat breakfast at the hotel but couldn't even stand being in the lobby. Surely management must realize this smell is too much!? Had a room along the front walk so it had a porch/balcony. Really enjoyed having a place to walk out front & people watch. If ur short, may have trouble seeing over the wall (we had the high solid walls). Not sure why, but u can't go in/out porch to sidewalk. Would b super easy to add a room key scanner. Anyway, room & porch were fine. Room was a bit musty smelling, very little light & only window was the window in the door to the patio (door, not slider). Felt kind of like a basement, but we weren't spending much time there. Again, lots of non-Hilton details...musty room, headboards weren't sane height, dirty outside cushions, umbrella spoke poked through fabric, flags glued to top of balcony (I really liked the small American flags but odd they were glued to the top), really bad tile work in bathroom. Not sure whether I'd recommend staying here. If u like b & b feels & aren't a seasoned traveler, this might b fine. If ur expecting Hilton level service/quality, ur not going to find it here.

Yelp
Love this centrally located hotel! It is beautiful with an amazing staff! The pool is lovely and the restaurant (even though we didn't eat there) looked great and they had one of their chefs cooking in the lobby! We stayed there right before the Light the Night and this is the epicenter for the lights show! We went to a concert at the AMP and caught a ride with an Uber to the venue but to get an Uber or Lyft is a bit more tricky! Walk outside the venue a bit and have them meet you outside. Much easier and you can schedule a pickup time.

Audrey G.

Yelp
Attentive valet and front desk. Wednesday free happy hour and appetizers was great. Pool and deck and view were beautiful. My problem is that I have to listen to Fox tv station when I'm trying to get my food down. The worst.

Donna J.

Yelp
Our stay at the Hilton was a nice stop for us. Beautiful entry and pool area, valet parking and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing and the choices were for every palette!! Three issues... hard to get to beach because of construction, our sheets and bedspread had to be changed because of spots and ??? and the noise level after 12 at the pool was too loud. We would love to spend time at the Hilton and for the above issues we will have to see.

Joe L.

Yelp
Great location, horrible room for almost $800 (after tax)- NOT TO MENTION, they almost TRIPLED THE RATE- TO A VETERAN - ON VETERANS DAY! Restaurant is mediocre at best and the staff have never heard of a sazerac before. I don't blame the restaurant staff, I'm 90% sure they had to make the food as well as serve and it's obvious they are trying their absolute best! Check in was quick and easy and the front desk person was very friendly, so all is well there. If you have luggage, good luck. You'll be fighting the doors trying to get your luggage through since there's no help and no way to prop them open. The room is tiny and outdated, but it's downtown St. Augustine with a balcony view so you can over look that. However, there are holes in the sticky, cheap laminate floor, the peep hole cover spins around next to the bathroom with the floor mats rolled up in the corner and not even placed in the shower for you. Save your money and stay at motel six for the same experience minus the price. Customer service initiated a claim and has not responded after telling me they'd respond by 11/15. On 11/17 they said try again in a couple days.

Van S.

Yelp
Angel! Angel at the front desk was amazing...... Sol I thought. When my hotel was booked at a reasonable price and a gift card I had was used to pay for the room, but when it came time to check out no gift card was ran, I was charged double the amount told when I originally walked in and spoke to Angel. I live locally and we use to love staying here for staycations, but management Brandon was not helpful, Angel doesn't "recall" me coming in. Not hard to remember a guy wearing a veteran hat and in a sling because they just had rotator cuff surgery. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT waste your money here! Management said there was nothing I could do and best of luck. Great to know this is how Hilton treats locals and military veterans. Shame on you and Hilton for treating locals and veterans this way.

Peggy a.

Yelp
If my review were based on Room and location it certainly would be 5 star. Service very mediocre- disappointing that staff at front desk seem very bitter, specifically Brandon. He was not welcoming at all and quite rude when requested an extra hour for late check out. However the location is everything! Balcony is a dream, right in front of the bay; excellent for people watching also LOL Room was very comfortable and fairly clean however a/c filter was grossly dirty. Fourth time staying at this hotel and truthfully would not stay at any other hotel in St Augustine. Hope some modifications are made to make it more pleasurable for future stays. Christmas decorations makes one feel like you're in the middle of a Christmas movie, so beautiful.

Yelp
We have stayed in so many different places around town over the years and always thought this was a great location right on the water front when we would walk by. It has always been booked by the time we started making our plans so we were happy they had rooms this time. As I mentioned they are right on the water front and our room had a huge balcony that faced the water. You could say high to the folks walking along the sidewalk! Room was a tad small but that was fine as the balcony made up for it. The room was very nice though. Clean and cozy. The hotel itself is unique with a bar and a noted restaurant. There is also a lot of history here with some MLK references as well as a high water mark. Really loved our stay here. The staff was great and when we asked they delivered. Looking forward to staying here next year and hopefully getting the same room!

Melissa S.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel right in the heart of everything. We experienced no problems on our visit, the staff was friendly, and the valet was very on top of things. The breakfast on Sunday morning was outstanding and the portions were fantastic. I would recommend if you want a simple hotel, close to everything, and within distance to walk to pretty much every bar or hot spot in town.

Francie R.

Yelp
Pictures on the website don't justify the beauty of the property. Very clean and the staff was very helpful. Thank you Josh ( Manager) , Clark and others for making us have a wonderful experience at the hotel. Very conveniently located to Old Town, shops, restaurants, and bars. We will come back and stay there again!. Property looks like brand new.

Michelle K.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful property. Our room was perfect, complete with a jetted tub. we were offered cookies and coffee upon arrival while our room was being completed. ( check in was early). Jess was very professional and clearly she has a gift for hospitality. We felt welcomed and valued. The bed was comfortable and coffee was available in our room. Breakfast was served, table side during our checkout. So much more than a typical hotel, we will be back, hopefully soon!

Tori E.

Yelp
Location, location, location! This hotel wouldn't be in a better location if it tried! Everyone here is also very friendly and helpful. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for the passed three nights and absolutely love this town! It is incredibly tempting to stay one more night, let me tell ya! We came here for a wedding that I was working (I'm a wedding photographer) & we have loved staying here so much that we are contemplating about staying one more night! The Aviles Restaurant attached to the hotel is simply wonderful and the bar service is great. I had to buy poster board as a back up for my job during the wedding and the guy at the front desk referred me to Staples with easy to follow directions. It's so nice to stay where there's a Starbucks! Our room was on the first floor and incredibly easy to navigate. There isn't a view from our balcony because it's in the middle of an alley way, but it is still nice to have a balcony. We were never bothered by room service (which we appreciated during this trip). I just loved it here!

Mark L.

Yelp
Made us wait until 4:30 to get in our room after watching numerous others guest get in four hours earlier. Rooms are very small and expensive. Had a bay view but when you looked out all we could see was a construction crew building a building and they started at 7:00 am! Don't waste your money on this hotel other ones are on the same street for a lot less.

Scott F.

Yelp
Our second visit here. I can't say enough about how friendly and professional the staff is. The hotel faces historic St. Augustine Bay and has great views from the pool deck. The on site restaurant is quite good here as well. It's location makes visiting the historic streets and all the shopping it has to offer just steps away. You have so many options for lodging here in town, but it would be hard to find a better option in the heart of the historic area.

Jessica I.

Yelp
You can't beat the location here. To me, it was worth paying the premium over comparable hotels in town to be able to walk everywhere from my home base. We didn't touch our car for the two days we were there. The hotel was lovely and clean, as was our room. We had a balcony room facing south, and it had a really nice view of the water. Great for people watching at night, too. The employees were always cordial. My only complaint about the room - and this is a pet peeve of mine - was the sliding barn door on the bathroom. Please, I beg hotel owners everywhere: just give me a bathroom door that actually closes.

Jeremy P.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel. Beautiful location. Speaks for itself as a 5 here. Came in late and the valet was really nice and helpful. Front desk as well. Smooth transition from the car to the room. We stayed in room 205 and loved it. View of bay was a bit obstructed by the large palm tree but was still a good room. The breakfast was really good. Had the simple breakfast w 2 eggs, fruit, sausage and a croissant. All was tasty and food came out quick. Kids loved the pancakes and waffles. Biscuits and gravy were good too. All portions were plentiful. All of their personnel were great and had great attitudes. I'd definitely stay here again if we came back.

Deborah S.

Yelp
Came in last night, wasn't that impressed with st Augustine but today my feelings have changed..there's lots of walking and history as well as nice restaurants so glad we got out ..as far as Hilton, very clean, very nice staff..Matt checked us in and was so personable a real joy to deal with..it was raining, you can borrow umbrellas at the desk..nice size room with fridge, water, well stocked nice size bathroom, shower only, nice mirrors for makeup..water is soft which is nice as it sucks where I live..bed very comfortable, room very quiet even though it's on the street..it has a balcony overlooking bay..great view and sunrise.our room 208 was very quiet so don't believe it's noisy,it's not and better than parking lot view!

Gluushum P.

Yelp
Great place to stay while in St Augustine. We got the balcony bay view room which was great. The only thing that would have been better would be to make sure you get one of the covered balconies. Ours was not covered and it was really hot, But in the morning and evening was fantastic. The staff at the hotel were great. They were very nice and they also had cold waters at the valet parking stand which was nice when heading out for a walk in the hot Florida sun. The location is great and an easy walk to St George street and all the other attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting.

Katalina Q.

Yelp
I enjoyed reading all the five star reviews which focused on location, location, location. I agree. If I were reviewing the "location" I'd give it 5 stars too because the location is so centrally located to the historic district you couldn't ask for anything better! So here we go: Drove up to the entrance and noticed a car valet. I totally understand the valet not opening my car door because of Covid related concerns. We all have to suffer. I also understand the valet not opening the doors of the hotel for me for the very same Covid reasons. Pretty sure that's why he didn't help us with our luggage or push our luggage caddy up to the front desk, let alone, offer to take it to our room. I'm glad that the Covid rules didn't inhibit him from taking a tip directly from our hands for parking our car. Upon check-in I asked if we could upgrade our room (with either cash or points) and was told no upgrades were available. I get it. Booked! As my husband and I were walking to our room we noticed that our room was within doors of the guest laundry room, the guest gym, the ice machine and the vending machine. Lucky us. When we walked into our tiny room, we were grateful for the tiny coffee machine and the wonderful tiny window (3x5')which provided a tiny bit of light. We soon realized the building next to us, about 2 meters away, was a restaurant where we could see the patrons...and they could see us. We had to cover our tiny window for much of our stay. Upon checkout we were informed of a $28 a night parking fee (new news) then they added an additional tax on top of that. Oh, I forgot to mention the night we checked in there were still plenty of better rooms available online. Plus the day after our arrival I confirmed with the valet that the hotel was not even close to being booked. Why we could not get an upgraded room or ANY type of benefits from staying there (think discounted breakfast coupons) is beyond me. I even found a coupon in a local rag that offered a 10% discount at the restaurant. I seriously doubt we will stay at the Hilton St. Augustine Historic Bayfront Hotel again. Thumbs down from Katalina Q. (Please read my reviews on the wonderful St. Augustine restaurants...pure delight!!!)

Nick R.

Yelp
Channel your inner pirate...stay at the Hilton Bay Front...its an incredible stay! I enjoyed the room and the service. I'll definitely go back. As long as my neighbors aren't smoking pot at 2 in the morning in their room... that'd be sweet. Other than that, I had a great stay, courteous staff, whirlpool bath tub for...two... maybe three ;-) And! It's St Augustine... probably one of my favorite cities in America. Not what you expect when seeing it from the outside, on the inside a full service bar open until 11. Can get a little pricey depending on what room you want. The Hilton Honors program also gives you some sweet bennies if you stay in hotels a lot. It's in walking distance to all things great in St Augustine... including the breakfast/brunch/martini bar next door.

Terry H.

Yelp
Power went off at 12:45 am no ac no lights manager Brandon was a total Ass lied about what time it went off and was rude. That's ok Never again. Would not credit our night only the next one. The worst experience ever DO NOT PAY the $500 a night for this place it is not worth it. There are many other places to stay , not here.

Robert S.

Yelp
TV did not work. Front desk was not concerned, said I could speak with the Manager (Sharon Howell) the next day on a one night stay. Had to hold shower curtain while taking a shower to keep water off of the floor because the frame was broken. Requested and PAID for adjoining rooms but the door jammed because of a loose screw and the door could not be opened or secured. The manager came in while checking out but could not help me because she did not clock-in for another 10 minutes. She called later and I tried explaining all the problems to her and she ended up hanging up on me after trying to interrupt me before I could get past the first problem. In the end, they billed me $53.25 for the broken items I tried to report. (I believe the manager is psycho and this was a way of getting back at me when I said I was going to take my issues Hilton Honors because she would not listen). Her staff seemed to be afraid to get her attention. One was new. I was still billed for having an adjoining room which I was not able to utilize. They admitted the cable was loose behind the furniture which I tried to tighten but could not move the furniture by myself. There was no explanation of how the $53.25 was broken out but I probably paid for that repair. Sending the picture below to the email I was given for the manager received no response from the manager. Do not expect problem resolutions if you stay here. The staff is new and intimidated and the manager thinks your stay is all about her.

Kelly B.

Yelp
We had a quick trip to St. Augustine and staying at the Hilton Bayfront was perfect! It's right in the middle of the historic shops and walking distance to the Fort. The rooms are a good size, and the Bay view couldn't be beat! Good to keep in mind though, the 'ghosts' of St. Augustine aren't just for tourist entertainment, and we definitely thought we had a visitor at some time in the night! All part of the fun!

Rand H.

Yelp
Great location, it looks like a cool historic building but is nicely renovated inside. Book a room with a balcony, enjoy morning coffee watching boats in the harbor. Very clean and well maintained with friendly staff. Can't wait to come back!

Sara B.

Yelp
I don't generally post reviews and I wouldn't have done so in this case if it weren't for the manager who was beyond rude (I'd like to use a different word to really describe him, but I'll keep it PG). I had a nice conversation with the front staff employee, Kenya. I voice 2 complaints and he nicely informed me that because I booked thru a 3rd party he couldn't adjust the price. I understood and didn't push. He offered to comp the valet parking and I asked him to comp our breakfast which he did. The manager walked up, I did not ask for a manager, and asked what was going on. I told him I was duped by booking thru a 3rd party. He immediately started to patronize me and asked why I would use a 3rd party and when I said "your questions aren't necessary, this gentleman and I have worked it out" he rolled his eyes and walked away when I was in mid-sentence. I actually apologized to Kenya for having to work for someone like that. If the manager speaks that way to customers I can only imagine how he speaks to his employees. I paid extra for a balcony with a city view or ocean view but receive a view of a dumpy alley. Ants were all over the night stand too. The location was amazing, But I won't be back here at this Hilton. There are other hotels near by that I will try next time.

Pear A.

Yelp
Second time at this beautiful place. From the moment we got here, the staffs were great! Branden and especially Paul are polite, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended!

Nancy L.

Yelp
Stayed her numerous times and always disappoints. This time a regular room was over $500 a night and it was a bayfront room with the smallest window to view ever. We chose our room to find out at check in they had moved us to another room. Lots of issues - mold in bath ceiling, stains in love seat, mattress to small for frame, hand rail in shower loose, window does not open and very dirty, not much water pressure in shower and not many towels. At the restaurant at night you can only order expensive heavy meals. No sandwich or soup. After I told them what I thought of a hotel not catering to guest they let me order off child's menu. Not going to stay here again. The view in the morning from the small window was a pretty sunrise and valet parking attendants were nice. Great location always brought us back. Not next time.

Yelp
We stayed one night here. Got in around 3-ish and checked out about 10am. Valeted one car ($40 + tip). Arrival was speedy, the Valet helpful and polite - all as expected. He used my friend's name upon learning it saying, "nice to have you Mr. Washburn". Check in was very nice with a young man helping and a pleasant young lady at the other stand. They were engaging, amusing, informative and professional. Very good ambassadors for the Hilton brand. Room was clean and pleasant with a highly functional AC unit. Bathroom had a great shower head although the pressure was not superb. The amenities included 2 makeup remover cloths - if you are traveling with a girl you will understand why this gets a specific mention. We ate at the Columbia- was fantastic! But came back for dessert and coffee at the hotel. I ordered Bananas Aviles and my friend a chocolate torte. We both ordered decaf. The wait to get an order in was unacceptably long. The coffee did not come out until the dessert and forgive me for saying so - the coffee was horrible. Weak, bitter and bleh. Eventually a server appeared and we asked for water. (If not for the young man at the host stand we would of thought we had no server at all.) The coffee was removed from the bill. The chocolate torte was excellent according to my friend but he couldn't use the fork to pierce the armored ganache coating. I suggested turning it over and going at it's underbelly- that worked. The ice cream portion was tiny so I gave up mine. My dessert was amazingly NOT amazing. What was described to me as bananas foster with pecans was - not. Chunks of bananas in a thin sugar syrup and a few pecans with a teeny cream pitcher of ice cream. Bananas had that mushy outer layer like it wasn't fresh (cooking bananas = use the freshest, firmest nanners you can find). A fail generally and especially for the Hilton name. The room was nice, good linens and a super comfy bed. Good towels but thin t.p. and that surprised me. Neat chaise type of seating area. Overall lighting was poor. Noise from the parking lot area was HORRENDOUS! There was a courtyard between us and parking so perhaps people were actually on the courtyard but why are there seating areas outside a guest window? I mean literally outside the window (you could stand nose to nose with me outside my window.) Disruptive at 10pm. Overall the stay was acceptable but not worth the almost $400 one night stay price tag. (We were credited for valet due to the noise issues so our bill was slightly lower). For the same $ I stayed at casa Monica and was very happy and for about $200 at the historic BW 3 doors from this pty and it was fine with a gorgeous waterfront view. I was not impressed with the experience vs price. If not for the superb front desk staff I would have gone 2 stars. (*Note: I worked 10 yrs for AAA in the diamond ratings area. I did not gauge this against the ratings criteria.)

Yelp
This location is conveniently located to downtown. There are water front units that have balconies. All you need is within walking distance. There is no other parking than valet which is $28.00 but you have nothing to worry about. The room was nice and quiet. It's always a treat to stay at such a nice location which I'm sure everyone would enjoy.

Yelp
Thank you Gabriella for her impeccable late night service! Highly recommended for your stay!

Yelp
After much research I decided on this wonderful property for our first visit to St Augustine and very glad I did. It is the second smallest Hilton in the world with only 78 rooms but the very first in customer service. The room we stayed in 109 had a huge balcony overlooking the bay and we were able to watch all of the people walking by as well. The food in the restaurant for breakfast was perfectly cooked and we enjoyed it all. The whole staff as extremely helpful from the front desk to the wait staff to the valet. If you are going to visit in Dec you must vote for them for the contest of lights as they won last year!

Yelp
I've been Hilton Diamond member since 2017 and this is literally the worst treatment I've received from a Hilton, ANYWHERE!

Yelp
Perfect location! Everything is in walking distance! We only stayed for one night. Our room was on the first floor in the building across from the reception. So, we had a view of the valet guys lol. But, we spent our days exploring St Augustine, so only really used the room to shower and sleep. While walking around, if we needed a break and A/C, we'd stop back at the hotel and sit in the lobby for a few minutes. That's how close this hotel is to everything. They do not have luggage storage, but will let you put your luggage in your car. Just have to remove your car by 3pm. The employees were really nice. Would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Our first stay here; and, I can guarantee it will not be our last. What a terrific property, right across from the bay; and, just steps away from the historic quarter of St. Augustine. We arrived early; and, our room wasn't ready, so we left our car with the valet and bags with the bellman. We went shopping and had lunch; and, were called immediately when the room was ready. The room was comfortable and clean; and, everything was in working order. We are Gold level members of Hilton, so we received two bottles of water at check-in, as well as on departure. We also received coupons that basically provided me and my wife with free breakfast and coffee each morning in the Starbucks downstairs. Maintenance is continuous and the crew keeps the place in tip-top shape, with some carpet repairs being made in the hallway that our room was on. Overall, it was very quiet; but, one night we had some disturbing music from another room - almost like a baby lullaby; but, loud! I booked with points, so all we had to pay for was valet parking and food for our daughter. Valet parking is mandatory; and, you will get no complaint from me. The valets were consummate professionals, as were the bell staff and reception counter personnel. Check-in and check-out was a breeze.

Yelp
We had been to this beautiful hotel before and was initially very happy when we received a location by the pool. We weren't in the room long before we left for a family wedding but did notice that room was freezing cold. We turned the air temp up in the room from ~72 to 75 and left. We returned to the room around midnight and the room still felt like 40 or 50 degrees. We turned air temp up again to ~78 and went to bed. We froze all night and got up a few times to raise the temperature higher. We finally turned off the air conditioning since it remained feeling ~50 degrees even when set to 85. We woke up to a very bad "outhouse like" smell (like someone had gone #2 in the room) and this odor remained in the room until we turned the air back on. We later learned that they had been working in our room all day the day before, so I now assume this was a known issue. We also later leaned that the room next to us had broken air conditioning but the hotel put a window unit in to try to keep that room cool. Water dripped non stop from the ceiling vent in the room which left black (we assume mold) spots on a towel which our family put under the drip to catch the water. Adding insult to injury: 1) We saw larger cockroaches in the room twice. We don't know if it was the same one each time or different ones. We were not able to catch them. 2) We saw a rather noticeable light gap in the morning below the door leading to outside pool area, showing an implied gap, but we were not able to see an actual gap. 3) The bathroom sink faucet was installed far too close to the mirror so we were not able to get cold or hot water from it due to the design of the faucet which had to be pulled back & turned to get cold or hot water. The cold water was most important to us for both our coffee water and to brush our teeth (water from a hot water heater isn't as clean). 4) The plastic Kleenex box had a flower made out of tissue on top, but the box was completely empty. Not even an empty paper box was inside. This is not a big problem, but it was very odd. We spoke to the front desk clerk twice about these many problems and was assured that the hotel manager would contact us on Monday. They did not

Yelp
Was our first time staying at this particular Hilton. My family and I were in town for a wedding. We checked in on Friday night and departed Monday morning. The entire duration of our stay, the room had a swampy smell that did not go away. The staff were friendly enough. Our big mistake was using the valet parking. For $28 a day, I expected a lot more. On Saturday night I had my car parked, not to be used again until late Monday morning for departure. When my car was brought out of their underground parking garage I could immediately observe that some substance had been poured on my car. Someone intentionally dumped/threw some sort of white liquid substance on the side of my car and you could see where it had dripped down leaving streaks. Whatever it was, it definitely had texture to it. I tried to wipe it off the window with Windex - Whatever it is wont completely come off. The side trim that separates the front drivers side window from rear window also had this substance on it. Scrubbing with abrasive and my finger nail wont entirely remove it. This occurrence made me wonder if perhaps the law enforcement sticker on my trunk caused me to be targeted. As a military and law enforcement veteran, I'm very disappointed. Will not stay here again and wont recommend.

Yelp
We came to St. Augustine to explore it quickly and had no hotel reservations for the evening! We decided to try our luck and see what we could get. Well we got very lucky as we scored a great rate at this Hilton right in the heart of the city! Everything is walking distance from the hotel! You won't need your car to explore the core of the city, and that was exactly what we did. We walked all around town, we had a blast during our trip. The hotel carries the Spanish flavor of the city in its colorful tiles through out the reception area and waiting area. The room was modern, comfy, and welcoming. The staff was extremely helpful, attentive and pleasant. I highly believe that they have the best location in town for lodging! I will definitely come back and stay over to explore this city that I love so much!

Yelp
I am a devout Hilton-ite. I love all things Hiltons and only stay at Hiltons. To this particular Hilton, however, I say meh. I would have honestly given it two stars if it weren't for the valet. I know that seems weird, but the gentlemen who valeted our car over the five days we stayed there were so exceptional. I wanted to take them home with me. ("I'm taking the kids to school now. Please pull up my vehicle.") There are hardly any public areas for you to hang out, play cards, wait for your kids to finally appear, etc. The lobby is super small. And for a hotel in Florida, the outdoor areas area really lacking. The staff doesn't seem to pay them much attention, so they're always a little dirty and unkempt. Our room WREAKED of mold and must. So much so that the car now smells like it from putting our suitcases inside for the ride home. The room was super small. We had a little bit of an outdoor patio, but the chairs were dirty and it was concrete and super unenticing. (Did they not realize they were building this hotel in Florida?) The restaurant is what you would expect for a hotel restaurant. Just okay. The staff seemed friendly enough, but didn't really go above and beyond to make sure your stay was exceptional. The location is excellent if you're looking to wander the historic areas of St. Augustine. If you're wanting to go to the beach, it's about a ten minute drive. (And then you get to talk to the valet guys.) We asked for dinner recommendations, and they honestly didn't get it right , recommending old stand bys. (Search here on Yelp instead.) Would I stay again? I would. But I would make sure our room wasn't moldy. (Other rooms didn't seem to have that problem. If there was a room with a door open, I would creepily stick my face in to smell it. If someone posts a review saying a weird lady kept sticking her nose in the room, that was me.) Overall, set the bar lower than you would for other Hilton hotels, and you'll be a lot more satisfied.

Yelp
Full disclosure, we only slept in our room. It was my wife's birthday so we took a weekend trip to St. Augustine. The staff was super friendly. The hotel was awesome. It was part of the town as opposed to being a huge rectangular building, like most hotels. Our room was amazing. We were right on the bay. I would highly recommend this place

Yelp
Great place, clean, friendly staff and a nice restaurant on site. Location is perfect with a pool and hot tub!

Yelp
The hotel is actually very nice . The rooms appear to be updated and the beds are very comfy. Front desk very friendly . The reason for the 3 stars is we were shocked that there is a 28 dollar valet charge In addition to your room charge . If the it was on a weekend or the hotel was packed I could almost understand but on a Wednesday night , especially during this whole COVID thing it was ridiculous. We live in Daytona and visit often but will most likely stay somewhere else.

Yelp
If you're going to stay in downtown St. Augustine, you might as well have waterfront, right? And the Hilton is a terrific place to spend a few days while visiting this historic town. We asked for one of the rooms right on the street with a balcony and enjoyed our entire stay. Highly recommend this upgrade if it's in your budget. You can have your own outside patio facing the water for those evenings sipping on wine and watching the sun go down after all the daytime tourists have gone home. So relaxing (and romantic) watching the lights downtown, bayfront bridges and the gorgeous boats go by against the backdrop of the night's sky. Very special and worth the money. Easy and friendly valet parking available with excellent customer service. Perfect location and walking distance to where you want to be in St. Augustine. Adorable hotel. Absolutely fabulous location!

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel on three different occasions. The first time service and accommodations were great. That was before the pandemic. We came back twice in the thick of the pandemic and now .Things changed. The hotel is not as clean as before with areas in bathrooms, under the tables, hallways left untouched. This hotel is very old and without proper management will show it , like mold smell, soft uncomfortable mattresses and pillows that will give you a neck strain. But the reason I decided to review this hotel now is due to the unpleasant encounter I had with the general manager Scott. We paid $600 per night for what was supposed to be a bay front room , with a patio as the pic showed .We got a second floor room noisy as hell next to the pool which was fortunately not used at the time due to cold weather. When I expressed my dissatisfaction over this and tried to get info on the new Renaissance hotel that had room during a relatively busy Valentine's weekend he told me that I can go wherever I want, stating that they own that hotel also and turned his back and left.It was one of the desk attendants who actually offered to move us to the room I thought I'm getting for that price but only for 2 out of 3 nights as they just booked the room. It should have been the manager who should come up with solutions during a crisis. As a refund would have been impossible in this situation we accepted the offer but we're not planing to return to this hotel in the future.I advise other travelers to call the hotel and secure the room and remember that the 1st bldg with the nicer rooms are numbered in the 100's.And BTW I don't think patrons should be allowed to smoke pot in the rooms even if medicinal is legal in the state. A hotel is a public place and Marijuana use even for medical purpose is illegal in public places.Just a suggestion for Scott the manager!.
