Hilton Sydney

"Less a facelift than a full-on, top-to-toe transformation, a two-year, US$150 million refurb of the Hilton in the heart of Sydney’s city centre was primarily tailored for its executive clientele, and it showed when the hotel reopened in 2015. Every room, from the modest standard quarters to the more luxurious relaxation suites, serves up the neutral palate and muted modernism that is expected from a corporate, 577-room, five-star-establishment. Luckily for the rest of us, there is more. While a cheeky sense of humor is evident throughout (how else to react to the notion of splashing out on a Bath Master whose duty it is to adorn en suites with candlelight, rose petals and advice on sophisticated soaking?), the real key is a canny coalescence of the hotel with the pulse of the city. The new Hilton complex also comprises the high-class Glass restaurant and three bustling bars, the pick of which is the re-opened and slightly refreshed Marble Bar, an opulent, underground ode to Victoriana dating back to 1893. Even the gym – huge by hotel standards - is enmeshed in the urban jungle; a functioning city gym with classes, a generous lap pool, and a cute range of steam rooms and saunas."

Stayed at Hilton Sydney 14 - 17 Nov 2025, booked two executive rooms on a third party platform, then contacted Hilton directly requesting adjoining rooms. On the day of check-in, as soon as we stepped out of our uber, one of the staff was helping with our luggage, and showed us the way to reception. We arrived before noon, the concierge was able to store our bags, and the front desk staff offered us access to executive lounge straight away, which is much appreciated! After we had lunch, one of our rooms was ready, and our bags have already been delivered to that room, very efficient. The other room was ready by 3pm. My request of adjoining rooms were met with inter- connecting rooms, pleasantly surprised. The rooms are clean and have great views. Everything worked well, we were able to request extra blankets via the phone app. They also provided a shower chair for my elderly parents, which was greatly appreciated. The staff at the executive lounge was very professional and courteous. Always with a smile. Hilton Sydney is in the prime central location, across the road from QVB, next to Galleries, and Westfield is just around the corner. We were able to get supplies from the supermarket 200 metres from the hotel. The daily cleaning of the room can be a bit more thorough. Will stay again.

I had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Sydney. The hotel is very high-end and exceptionally well located — you can reach everything on foot, including the ferry terminals for trips to the zoo or other attractions. The staff at the Hilton were consistently friendly and professional. A special thank-you to James in the Executive Lounge for his outstanding service. It truly made a difference during our stay. There are, however, a few downsides. The elevator waiting times are extremely long — I’ve rarely wasted more time waiting for lifts in any hotel. I understand the property is large, but the situation is quite frustrating. Additionally, the breakfast area is often very loud, and depending on the time of day, you may have to wait quite a while for a table. Considering that the Executive Lounge on the 1st floor offers nearly the same selection, it became a much more pleasant and relaxed alternative for us. Overall, still a great stay and highly recommended — but be prepared for the elevators and the busy breakfast atmosphere.

Terrible experience, staff couldn’t care less when we have made any requests, our request for an extra bed in a room that apparently sleep 2 adults and 3 kids was completely ignored only to arrive to one bed between 2 adults and 1 kid. I have specially asked for any possible way to extradite the room being ready as we are trying to relax before a concert (my daughters first) and this wasn’t passed on to any cleaners. Each time saying 3pm. Will never stay Hilton again, as an Honors member and paying $900 per night, I am absolutely disgusted. I had specifically asked, weeks in advance for a room to be ready to try and allow my daughter time to rest before the concert. However still at 3:30, she doesn’t have a bed to sleep in tonight. *update. I haven’t had a single missed call on the mobile number provided to the hotel. The manager did call my wife to suggest we head to the lounge for canapés which we had tried to do 10 minutes prior and was refused access due to being busy. Incredibly disappointed and still would not recommend anyone spend the money to stay here if they value any service or honesty. And to top everything off, the final night of our stay there is a water leak in the apartment. I have slipped in a puddle of water left from the A/C in the bathroom area (luckily I didn’t injure myself) Buyer beware of this hotel.

Stayed for a 5 nights at the Hilton Sydney in October 2025||Positives:||Well located, easy to get around town, lots of life and activity right on your doorstop ||Recently renovated property and the rooms whilst fairly generic are of a good standard including a comfortable bed||Modern & appealing lobby (although half of it was closed every day I was there, even just to sit in)||Negatives: ||Service was unfortunately of a 3* level, certainly not 5* and barely 4*||Arrival late at night at approx 12pm midnight was a very very poor experience. Front door is locked and the intercom button / call button did not work. Had to bang on glass wall repeatedly to be allowed in. I mentioned this to receptionist and was simply told “it goes to the back room”, zero apology for the inconvenience or weird arrival (what other 5* hotel do you have go knock on the door and bang for attention to get entry?)||Room was repeatedly not serviced on 2 out of 5 days. On one of those days I had actually specifically asked at reception for the room to be serviced after going out for the day at 1pm and by time I got back at 10pm no cleaning had taken place||Have to repeatedly queue at lobby for any type of assistance. There was a lot of staff in lobby during daytime hours however they do not acknowledge you in lobby, no good morning, no good evening. Not the end of world but certainly not 5* service and more akin to a mass chain Holiday Inn / Fairfield / Courtyard / TRYP etc.||No bottled water in rooms. There is a filtered water tap but not equivalent. ||Heat issues with shower, at points scaldingly hot even on coldest setting. In fairness I did not complain about shower as I didn’t want hassle of repacking changing rooms but equally it should just be correct from outset, especially at a 5* hotel. ||At checkout I was then charged a credit card fee when I paid by debit card. This was corrected when I questioned it but it shouldn’t have been done in the first place. It should not be incumbent upon the guest to identify and correct payment, it should be correct first time. ||I would not recommend this hotel. It is a fine place to stay but absolutely not 5* it’s not a good option unless you can get it for a bargain basement price.

Fantastic location and amazing staff! The hotel has a super convenient location — right across from the QVB and a tram stop, with the subway only about a 3-minute walk away. Rooms are well equipped, though a bit on the smaller side. Breakfast was included in our stay, and it truly had everything you could wish for! Hot dishes like Eggs Benedict could be ordered fresh, and the buffet offered a great variety. Only the barista coffee came at an extra charge, but regular cappuccino from the machine was included. The buffet itself left nothing to be desired. A special shoutout to Megan from the breakfast team — always incredibly friendly and helpful! And also to Andi, the lift attendant — no matter how busy it got, he was always smiling and cheerful! Next time we’re in Sydney, we’ll definitely stay at the Hilton again!

I was not exactly visiting Hilton. I was only visiting it's lobby cafe. I want to talk about it nonetheless, because I love the feeling. It's been a number of years since the last visits before COVID 19. A nice place for a coffee and a cake, the vibe, the people. I am particularly excited when I found that the lanky male attendant was still there. Trust me: I am really glad !

This is a great hotel. The location is great, it is close to public transportation which will take you anywhere in the city. It is in the very vibrant part of the city, which has a lot of shopping malls, food courts, Chinatown, and some great Asian food restaurants.|The staff were courteous and helpful. |One area that was a disappointment was housekeeping. The surfaces in the room, such as the pantry area, head rests had a layer of dust that was not attended to for the 4 days that we stayed there. Towels and bath towels were not properly replaced. One set of towels that were replaced was damp, so when we requested replacements, the towel we got was worn out. Dirty cups were left unattended. This was surprising and not the quality one expects from a Hilton.|Breakfast was great. It could get busy and expect a long lines during peak hours, if there are big groups present in the hotel. The cooking smell is all pervasive in the dining area though, for some reason. |The Marble Bar, the cocktail bar attached to the hotel is awesome. Some of the best cocktails we have had.|These are minor issues, overall, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel.

Google
Love the hotel location just next to Town Hall, so convenient. Room is comfortable as expected, recently updated to even have USB C ports in the wall and a purified drinking water tap instead of bottled water. Unfortunate not to have cable Tv. Executive lounge has a decent coffee machine and range of breakfast items but it is indeed a windowless space. However during our visit we were offered the option to choose between breakfast buffet at the brasserie or the usual executive lounge breakfast, which was nice of them.

Yelp
Great hotel with the perfect location. Everything was fast to get to with a 15-30 min walk. If you are interested in heading to the opera house or the great restaurant area in The Rocks this hotel is fantastic. We were given an upgrade which was nice but still found the room to be small. There's a executive lounge but come early! Tables were hard to come by as was the food options. It starts at 6:30 we arrived at 6:15 and everyone was eating already and tables difficult to get. They had great shrimp options by 6:45 no more shrimp and other food options were given. My suggestion is go earlier! As diamond breakfast is complimentary as well and man breakfast was amazing!!!!!!!!! Soooo many delicious options!!!! The best breakfast I've had at any Hilton with a great view at that!

Yelp
Nice hotel in the Central Business District. Close to everything and the tram just outside makes it easy to get around. The staff is amazing, with check in problems, they went above and beyond to make it right. I highly recommend.

Yelp
The location is good because it is in the less busy part of town yet very walkable to shopping malls and tourist sights. The front desk staff was very nice and polite. The lobby is very pretty and has plenty of comfortable places to sit or to have a cup of tea. Our hotel room was nice and the bathroom was pretty big. Our view below was of the fountain, and we could see very far without any other hotel obstructions. The elevators were pretty quick. The gym and pool are on the lower floor, and they both were well maintained, though the gym was very small and crowded every time I went in.

Yelp
Had a lovely stay at the Hilton in Sydney and it's on George st, it is in the middle of everything like a 10 min walk to Darling harbor 4 stops on a tram to The Opera house, I went to China town which is like 5-10 min walk and the Westfield mall is around the corner, the staff is friendly and the rooms are lovely, it was my birthday and stayed there for 2 nights and I was surprised they gave me Champagne, thank you I was truly surprised :) Alessio was so friendly and nice :)

Yelp
I last was here about 8-9 years ago and at that time, I was so impressed. The location was fantastic, the property was modern, beautiful and well-staffed, and they took great care of me as a Hilton Diamond member including an upgrade and a nice Executive Lounge to hang out in. Fast forward to now, post-COVID and much as changed. I'm unsure if this is the new normal or if they are having issues with staff shortages and budget constraints but the place just seems to have gone down a notch in just about every regard. Don't get me wrong, I am a Hilton loyalist and a lifetime Diamond loyalty program member so I am not trying to badmouth the brand. I will still continue to stay here when my work takes me to Sydney but this time around, the property just didn't shine the way it used to. Gone are consistent doormen and I found the front desk sometimes unstaffed. I expect that at budget hotels but that should be a minimum standard at places in the mid-3 digits per night for a room such as this. I also was a little surprised that the area around the hotel has become a lot less bustling tourist and motivated business workers hustling to enjoy their day and has a much more homeless panhandler feel to it peppered in with the addled druggie back-packer groups just loitering around all of the closed businesses in the middle of the night. When you add in the multiple areas of vomit staining the sidewalk from the late night revelers closing out the bars, it really gives you a sense that the business district of Sydney has taken a real downturn. It feels like Sydney borrowed the playbooks from Portland, Seattle or San Francisco and are doing a reasonable job of running their societal strategies from them. Within the hotel, the public spaces were clean but seemed to lack staff. The room was comfortable but nothing over the top. The restaurant and bar selections are uninspiring. Even the attached private gym which all guests have access to 24/7 seemed a bit run down. For $450 AUD/night, I expected a bit more as a hotel guest. The Executive Club was where I really noticed a downward spiral. Higher end Hilton branded hotels, especially international (non-USA) locations have some outstanding Exec Clubs that are often well-appointed, private areas with fantastic work-spaces. They are great to enjoy breakfast in or evening cocktails after a jet-lagged work day. This one had the bare minimums in terms of offerings. It is a fairly large space which is great but it is showing its age and was only staffed with cleaning person during most hours instead of the usual staff that can assist you as concierges. In the mid-afternoon, there were no staff and there were dirty tables all over needing to be bussed. When I entered around 3:30pm, I bussed my own table just to have a clean space to sit at. That was just plain disappointing. Sydney is a long way from home for me and I was let down by this Hilton experience. It was not a complete failure but it was clearly lower than what it should be given the prior stature of this hotel and its location. I will stay here for the location when I am in the area but otherwise, it will not be in my list of top international destinations.

Yelp
I got upgraded from king guest room to city suite and it is huge! Great views and a jetted tub and 2 TV's and 2 toilets. Also got access to executive lounge as diamond. City suites are on the 42nd floorm. Great location and next to lots of malls especially for food. They stored my laksa in their fridge and provided a microwave on request.

Yelp
How can you be a 5 star hotel and not have a cafe or anywhere open at 1pm Sunday. Absolutely unheard of with a 5 star rating.

Yelp
Absolute top hotel. Excellent service, clean rooms. The staff helped me retrieve lost documents after my stay and went above and beyond to help me.

Yelp
This is a very nice hotel in a convenient location. There is a grocery store (Woolworth's) and train stop less than a block from the hotel. Circular Quay was only 2 stops away. I'm Hilton Gold and was upgraded to the Executive Lounge. Yay! The rooms are nice, but relatively basic. I also stayed here 9 years ago and the room looked exactly the same (although not worn, so I'm sure they've refreshed it). My room also had a great view. The lounge serves a continental breakfast, afternoon scones and tea, and evening canapés and alcohol. On some days, that's all I had to eat all day and it was fine. There were so many friendly people working in the lounge. They do check people in when they walk in, so don't try to sneak in any guests :). I'd very much recommend the Hilton, especially if you get lounge access.

Yelp
This is a nice Hilton, with an excellent location. It's easy to find, very close to Town Hall station. The shopping nearby is great and tram right outside the door. My room was comfortable with great shower, comfortable furnishings and good quality linen. Restaurant is also great - for breakfast and dinner. I would come here again.

Yelp
I checked in with no line on a Monday about 5PM which was good. As a diamond member, the guy spent quite a bit of time explaining I could be upgraded to the relaxation spa room for an extra $260/night. In the states, the hotel would have just upgraded me. So much for being a Hilton diamond member! The location of the hotel is excellent. You are right in the heart of the city, and since I was only staying a couple of nights, it worked out. There is a stop for the hop-on-hop-off tour a couple of blocks away from the St James station nearby. An uber to the opera house only takes about 15 minutes if that in no traffic. I will say though Pitt street is the pits for traffic since the next street over is closed for the light rail. It may be better to walk to the end of the intersection or even force uber to pick you up at the hotel door (rather than on the street) in order to drive onto a street with no traffic. That is, if the uber driver can even turn into the hotel due to pedestrian traffic. I booked an executive king bed room, and it was pretty small. The bathroom is so small that you cannot open the shower door and still easily reach the sink, e.g. turning on the water to warm up while brushing your teeth. The drain is located under the shower stall door, which is odd to me. This means water gets all over the bathroom essentially because it splatters when taking a shower. Trying to lay down the bath mat in a dry spot is difficult in such a cramped space. For this, I give 3 stars. The executive lounge prevents me from docking another star. There are lots of choices for non-alcoholic beverages, more than you can imagine, for breakfast. Each morning there are eggs, sausage, potatoes, lox (no bagels or cream cheese though), fresh fruit (ate a couple of kiwis each morning), cereals, pastries, breads, etc. The food was pretty familar, as per standard executive lounge food. I think overall my stay was alright. Diamond members receive 2 free bottles of water each night of stay. Too bad there is not a fridge to put the water in, since the fridge is full of mini bar drinks and snacks. Oh well, at least I was able to stay for cash + 60,000 points for two nights! GUEST ROOM $148.77 GUEST ROOM $148.77 CREDIT CARD SURCHARGE $4.46 TOTAL $302.00

Yelp
This hotel is 5 stars with 2 star pricing. It's awesome. The service is incredible. The location is also incredible The gym is the best gym at any hotel I have been at in the world. The concierge is wonderful. The continental buffet is the best continental buffet I have seen. The full buffet is also exceptional. I am staying for the the next 8 days. I am absolutely glad I picked this hotel. Anything I have needed they have accommodated immediately. The house keeping team is exceptional & they do a tremendous job cleaning your room. This hotel is outstanding from top to bottom!

Yelp
Great Location, outstanding service, wonderful food, and outrageous buffets. Need I say more? As a Diamond member, you get one of the best breakfast buffets around. You also get afternoon tea, and an evening cocktail hour with food that basically replaces dinner. There were so many people in the executive lounge that use the evening buffet as dinner. For example they offer chicken skewers, gyozas, three kinds of salads, cheese and charcuterie plate, mixed drinks and wine, soft drinks and different types of water. It's located in the Central Business District which is near the train station, bus station and tons of shopping and eating. It is a short 10 to 15 minute walk to Circular Quay and the Sydney opera House, and about a 10 minute walk to the ferry which takes you to Toranga Zoo and a very nice ride to the Sydney opera House. This is probably one of my favorite hotels in the whole world now. The rooms are also very nicely laid out, with amazing comfortable bed and a pillow menu. They also have a rain shower in the bathroom and a great jet tub. You're going to love it here!

Yelp
A friend and I stayed at the Sydney Hilton for four nights, and overall, the location is great and the price was right. We arrived from the USA on one of the early morning flights. While our room was not ready, they did offer us to go to the Executive lounge for some breakfast and snacks and then the option of going to the gym to shower. Under the circumstances, that was very adequate for our purposes, and allowed us to start enjoying the day sightseeing relatively quickly. The hotel itself is huge and has a large convention area. The lobby was always buzzing with business, considering we're staying in the central business district (CBD). It's very walkable to the harbor and the Sydney Opera House, as well as being on the same block as the metro. A very convenient hotel all around We had Executive lounge privileges because we are Diamond members with Hilton, and we tried breakfast at both places. Both have pros and cons, but the lounge had takeaway drinks of water and soda, so we used that more. The happy hour at the lounge was also very busy and they have a adequate selection of food and drink options. We were upgraded to a "relaxation" king room, but that meant that the bathroom was 100% completely exposed to the bedroom. Even if you're married, that sense of privacy is gone in the bathroom. I did not enjoy that aspect of the hotel. Actually, knowing that this was the hotel we were "upgraded to", I would have downgraded myself. It did have a nice sitting room area, though. Overall, I liked the location of this hotel, and it is both a business and tourist hotel at the same time.
google avatar

Billy S.

Yelp
The Hilton Sydney pretty much sets the standard in terms of customer service, hospitality and knowing how to make a guest feel welcome. As a diamond member, the hotel recognized our status and put us up on the 43rd floor which is the highest level at the hotel. The only knock is that the rooms are a little small but comparable to standard New York sized rooms. Waking up the next morning, we had buffet breakfast at the restaurant. Service was excellent, wide variety of food options and a small section of Asian fare. At this point, we realized us being on vacation this is a very centralized business hotel and everyone was dressed to a T in 3 piece suites. We paused for just a second and thought, oh what the hell. We're on holiday, who cares! We also dropped into the executive lounge in the morning for some coffee. Staff was more than accommodating and treated us very well.

Yelp
My hotel stay was absolutely perfect. The location is perfect, 1/2 a block away from the Town Center train station, a block away from the Sydney Tower and huge shopping mall, and a 10 minute walk to either Sydney Harbor and the Opera House, or to Darling Harbor. The hotel has a great Executive Lounge on the 36th floor, that serves breakfast, lunch snacks and evening cocktails - all free of charge to Gold and Diamond members. The staff was the most polite of any place I have been to. Everyone was ready to help and always called me sir (I know, a bit formal, but very nice). They have a spectacular "prohibition bar" downstairs (Marble Bar), and bar and coffee counter in the lobby, and other restaurants and bar on other floors (3rd/4th). I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Sydney!

Yelp
For price of room it was just ok, definitely expected more in the details. Romance package was missing an item, tv remote need new batteries and staff were just there. Great location if you're looking to shop or want to hop on ferry or train. Breakfast buffet view and food options was the saving grace of our stay for sure

Yelp
We stayed at this Hilton from 27/01 to 01/02, this was our first time stay with Hiltons but also our lil baby Aidan's first hotel stay (he was only about 3 months old). From the time we arrived the bellman greeted us and help us with our luggage to checked in and had our bags delivered to the room took maybe 15-20 mins which was really good. When we arrived we also got the upgrade to executive deluxe room on the top floor (43rd) with access to executive launch. The executive launch offered breakfast, afternoon tea and evening canopies. The staff are very friendly and helpful. On the check out day my husband had to work until 5pm, the staff extended a late check out until 12pm and allowed me to used the executive launch to feed the baby. The room was very comfortable and food lay out but it was a bee small room. Having said that, it's right in the heart of Sydney it's hard to expect a spaces room. Thank you for making our stay; especially Aidan's first stay a much enjoyable and rememable one.

Yelp
It makes me feel all grown up and fancy pants having a coffee meeting at the Hilton Hotel. Look mum, I'm a real businessman! What's that? Oh. There's tomato sauce on my tie. Quick, get the sponge. You kind of figure, at least I did, that a place like this must surely have free wi-fi. And it does, it appears, although only for guests that are staying there, unless I missed something and wasn't able to figure out how to log on. I was in Vietnam last month and man, every banh mi shack and coffee shop had free wi-fi, and they've never even heard of Paris Hilton, let alone Conrad. Pull up a table - the ones on the landing have the best, lofty views - and table service takes care of the rest. Drinks are 50c to $1 more expenno than you'd pay elsewhere, but hey, it's the Hilton, and you've put on your best pair of shoes to come here.
google avatar

Tresna L.

Yelp
After all these years, the Hilton is still looking modern and offers the key business traveller requirements - easy city access, fast wifi, in room desks and good bathroom amenities. The service on check in was friendly and very helpful. I arrived well beyond the normal 2pm check in and was offered immediate check in if I upgraded my room for an extra $24. This was perfect and meant I could get some work done at the well equipped in-room desk before heading off for meetings The bathtubs are fantastic - deep and perfect for wallowing around in after a long day. The black out curtains in the room ensure coffin-like darkness, but mind the strong aircon as it will dry you out if left on full blast all night. The beds boast plush bed linen, but why oh why do they try and pass off two single beds pushed together as a "King". This isn't conducive for star-fish sleeping arrangements and if are sharing the bed, then one of you always ends up in the uncomfortable hap in the middle. The Hilton scrapes in at four starts as it's perfectly located and while they miss the mark on some things, the major things like a quiet nights sleep and helpful staff mean it should be considered for a quick business trip to Sydney.

Yelp
I am not a Platinum member of the Hilton brand but I have to be honest with myself, this hotel was the most amazing experience from checking in to out a pleasure and relaxing experience. The staff is amazing from desk to lounge( was a guest of a friend) they are amazing experts of customer service and give you an excellent quality of service you can't imagine. The food variety and choices at breakfast are fantastic fresh and tasty, the staff very amazing. The lounge much smaller choices but the staff was excellent, very nice spirits offered not just beer during happy hour and bar tender. Decor very modern and clean area full of shops and short walk to beach and trains.

Yelp
The hotel is very centrally located. The staff are very efficient and helpful. The rooms are a bit small but comfortable and well equipped. We used the executive lounge which is a oasis after a busy day. Our breakfast was included for gold Hilton honor members I believe as we had wonderful breakfast at Glass included in our room rate. I would recommend the hotel as good CBD hotel.

Yelp
Very disappointed in this hotel. We had flown over 24 hours, exhausted and dirty and were continuously told they had no rooms until check in time. I saw many people check in before us.

Yelp
This hotel is fabulous! It is next to QVB! The huge shopping mall with beautiful decor! Their beds are so comfy and the rooms are spacious! The breakfast buffet is the ultimate best at the Hilton! There's a bread & pastry bar that has these little doughnuts. They look like cute doughnuts with a light powdered sugar dusted on them. When I bit into this amazing little doughnut, it was so soft and the inner part was filled with gooey chocolate! I got right back out of my seat and went up to grab three more! It was that good with my latte! The chef that caught my eye was Filipino and was so nice! He cut a lemon for my nephew and suggested for him to try it with a food selection from the buffet line. The assortment of fruit juices are on a round counter and well displayed! Very nice decor in this beautiful restaurant and high ceilings everywhere you go in this hotel! A beautiful masterpiece in Sydney! I can't wait to stay in the beautiful hotel again when we visit! Lovely indeed!

Yelp
Above and beyond! Beautiful hotel in the shopping district of Sydney. Lovely rooms on the executive floor Only had a quick drink in the executive lounge, wish we had longer the food looked amazing! Pros Front staff and concierge staff brilliant helpful and friendly. Lovely rooms Comfortable beds Lovely views over the city Free internet Cons Shower needs studs on the floor, very slippery - asking for an accident!

Maghen T.

Yelp
Some of the front desk is nice, but not all. Room was nice but TV wasn't working (engineer fixed it and was very friendly) and the fridge had no space for my own items around all the overpriced drinks. Concierge gentlemen were very nice and helpful. I'm giving it a 3 (would be 3.5) because for such a high end hotel there cancellation policy is unforgiving. I called approx 4 days and 8 hours prior to the 5 day cancel policy and they wouldn't honor it. I won't be using this hotel again simply because of that and that overall the service wasn't worth the cost. I realize I knew the policy and didn't meet it but I need a more flexible hotel.

Yelp
We stayed here for my sisters 16th birthday. It was intended to be a treat and spa day but it was kind of a disappointment. The staff didn't explain during the booking that a $100 dollar security needs to be payed for each night you stay. Of course this isn't a big deal if you're loaded but it was a treat that cost a $1,000.00 and I'm a middle class citizen at best. The room was ok. The Alysium spa was amazing though. Very lovely receptionist and great masseuse!

Yelp
Currently on a long 2 week stay in this hotel for work and loving it so far. Got upgrade to top floor executive suite with lounge access. Really amazing service staff with regular request for feedbacks. Really surpassing expectations and most likely will end up being my most preferred business trip hotel.

Yelp
This Hilton property is centrally located in Sydney CBD and within walking distance to everything Sydney downtown has to offer. Townhall station is few steps away and take you to anywhere further away which is very convenient. The room is reasonable size, I am hoping there is 2 queen/double beds configuration here similar to in US but I find it rare in Sydney. I am diamond member and has access to the executive lounge and it is one of the best Hilton lounge I have been to. The view to Sydney skyline from here is gorgeous. The buffet breakfast is awesome with good variety. Not to mention the exception service from all its staffs that makes us feel welcome and valued. However the reason I don't give it 5 stars is I am not comfortable with the automatic charge system if you take item from the minibar. It makes perfect sense that we need to pick up item to view before considering if to consume it. Also kids might pick it up to view the item as well. I am not charged but I am not sure if it has Amazon Go feature that it won't charge you if you put the item back. Something to take note.

Yelp
The location couldn't be better. It's next to the Queen Victoria Building (QVB), easy access to shops, restaurants and the train. A quick walk or train to Circular Quay. Very central location. The rooms are impeccably clean, service is courteous and speedy. I would stay here many times over. A must if you're staying in the CBD.

Yelp
Loved it from The ease of the app check in the view was good for the price I paid service professional but friendly Bed very comfy and room super quiet The shower with the TV in it was great hard pressure and nice strong hot water

Yelp
Room decor & interior is very modern but bathroom doors are sliding with no locks, which is a problem when you want some privacy. The bathroom walls are also translucent so you can see shadows through the glass when the main room light is off. Other than that this hotel is top-notch

Yelp
I have been fortunate to have stayed in few Hiltons over the years and this one is up there. The rooms are a great size and well furnished. There is a pillow menu (yes, I know) and two showerheads to chose from. There is a TV in the shower (yes, you do need it there) and the other usual suspects (lounge, bed, desk etc). The black out blinds are amazeballs and if you like to wake up to natural light the sheer curtains offer enough privacy. There is a lap pool and spa down stairs and a VERY well equipped fitness centre. Location, location, location - right in the heart of great shopping options and a nice walk to the harbour. Get yourself there - NOW!

Yelp
This hotel is in the perfect location. Right in the center of everything. Walking distance to darling harbour, Kings wharf and the opera house. The king deluxe room is somewhat small but I would say normal for big city hotels. The service is wonderful. They have turn down service. Front desk is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. I typically prefer Marriott brand hotels but this is by far the best Hilton that I have ever stayed in. Maybe they are better outside the US. Great hotel, great service and great location.

Yelp
I stayed here for 1 week on business in June 2014. This hotel was grandiose. I was on the top floor with views of the Sydney Tower Eye. Since i'm a gold hhonors member, I had access to the executive lounge. Every night they had beers, wines, spirits, and snacks. Although the snacks became more like dinner for someone of my size. Breakfast was also great with eggs, cheese, juice, coffee, toast, meats, etc... My room was incredible. There was a hand written note welcoming me to the hotel, which I appreciated. Everything was more than comfortable here. The location of this hotel was great, I could walk to just about everywhere in CBD, and cab anywhere I couldn't. In June, the cost was about $199/night which is a steal in my opinion. I can't wait to come back here!

Yelp
Great location. Across the road from QVB. Bring Lots of $$$$ for Shopping. Wonderful hotel. I love to stay here. Clean and Comfortable. But, Close the bathroom door when showering - hot shower steam can trigger fire alarms :D

Yelp
While the rooms are overall okay the hotel itself was pretty disappointing. As noted the rooms are fairly nice. The beds comfortable, the bathroom and shower excellent! The TV was a bit difficult to figure out the channels. Just watch out for the 20th floor - the only smoking floor. Doesn't smell good. The reception desk is sorely understaffed leading to long waits. They have a tool in the room called "Magic" Press the "magic" button on the phone and a live person comes on to assist you with your needs. Kinda cool. Though if you need something delivered to the room you may have to wait for it a bit. Breakfast here is expensive!!!! But unbelievable. So delicious. Pretty much anything you want can be found at the breakfast buffet, from omelettes to breakfast meats, cheeses, pastries, smoked salmon, fruit, dim sum, porridges, cereal and yogurt. Fitness center is excellent! Lots of equipment in in excellent condition. One of my big pet peeves is having an expensive hotel room and no internet access. Only pay for access in your room here. There is free connection in the lobby but even that does not function well. You still much use an access code and the site doesn't always work plus it's super slow. Great location!

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel for a conference held on site and I must say I could not fault the service or the room. The rooms are modern and well appointed, automatic mini bars, new iron, some cable channels on the TV, and plenty of natural light. The windows have mechanical shutters which block out virtually all light so that you can sleep during the day if you desire (although it took me a little while to find the switch to operate these). Good comfortable bed, only discovered the pillow menu on the second night (would have helped the first night!). The bathrooms are modern with plenty of frosting and stone providing a clean and bright environment. Our shower head appeared to be broken though and would not change modes (shower/jet) but this was only minor. The cafe downstairs serves single origin coffee, and provides good service. I did not eat at the restaurant. Great central location right across from the QVB and minutes walk to Hyde Park and many Sydney sights. Free wi-fi would be good, but unlikely to occur in hotels.

Yelp
Loved this hotel! Great location, beautiful hotel. Stayed on the 31st floor (which was actually kind of terrifying to ride the elevator up that far and that fast). The room was kind of small, but very updated and the toiletries were great. I also really enjoyed the black-out shades in the windows. Breakfast buffet is amazing. Not sure if it's worth the price, though. Ours was complimentary and we made sure to fill up. We had a vegetarian in my party and none of us had any issues finding food we liked on the buffet. I also liked the executive lounge and the options available there. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful, but there were some that weren't as friendly. Overall, it was very hard to leave the Hilton when we left Sydney!

Yelp
We arrived from a long flight from the US and they were able to accommodate early check in at 10:30Am. They upgraded our rooms and gave us access to the executive lounge and free wifi due to gold status. The spa suite was very large and there was a couch for my son to sleep on. The traditional rooms are pretty tiny so it might be worth it to pay a bit more for a larger room. The executive room offered free continental breakfast and drinks + appetizers in the evening - very nice touch! Staff was friendly and helpful with maps and directions. I would certainly recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Yelp
Pro: Lobby nice, gym is excellent, rooms are well laid out (if a little small) & the bathroom is really nice. Great location. Con: Internet. $30 per day! It was slow and dropped off for a few minutes frequently. For a business hotel that is wholly unacceptable. TV in the room was laughably bad. Small with terrible controls and few channels.

Yelp
We stayed her on our trip to Sydney. The location is perfect. it is centrally located where important shops and tourist buses are easily accessible. The inside of the room we stayed in was a moderate (read medium) size) and clean. The style was very modern. The bathrooms are small. The shower seemed too close to the toilet. I found that bothersome. Getting out of the shower I was always conscious to not bump into the toilet thus defeating the act of getting clean. The customer service as I remember it was good. The people were friendly. We had few interactions with the front desk. Our room was well cleaned and furnished with Peter Thomas Roth toiletries. I liked that. You can request a more feminine scent. I don't remember what they gave to me at that request but it was lovely. The view from the hotel was amazing. It is right near the statue of the Queen Victoria. It is in walking distance to what Aussies call "Wolly's" and N. Americans call "Woolworth". Yea, Woolworth is King in Australia. Who would have known? Near this hotel is an indoor mall or shopping center with a food court. Some stores had odd closing hours (like closing by 8 PM). I'm comparing this to restaurant hours in the United States. Maybe this is an Australian norm. I don't know. Hilton is a trusted brand. For the most part they've been pretty consistent. They aren't a franchise and there is a corporate office that I believe will care if you had a bad stay. This is unlike other hotels and motels that are independently owned and could give a rat's behind how your stay was with them. Once they get the money the joke is on you. With that said I would stay with them again in the U.S. and abroad.

Yelp
G'day mate! I stayed at this hotel with my hubby for our honeymoon, and I have to tell you, we received the royal treatment here. The rooms are spacious, clean, and have a wonderful view of downtown Sydney. The hotel is located within walking distance to shops, sight-seeing adventures, and yummy restaurants. Also, if you are going to stay here, PLEASE don't miss out on the glass breakfast buffet. It is the buffet of all buffets...and the food is so GOOD! We had breakfast here every day of our visit...ahhh, I'm still dreaming of that breakfast buffet... It's wall to wall of delicious treats! I'd actually go back to Sydney just for it. Great hotel, nice staff, romantic bar, great food...be smart, book this hotel!

Yelp
My experience at this hotel was a pleasant one. I frequently go to the cafe downstairs and I receive excellent service, bravo to Carlos who always greets me with a pleasant smile and ensures that I am served promptly and nothing is too much of an effort for him. Keen to please filling up that extra teapot with water or providing a sympathetic ear when needed. I also was a member of Living Well Gym and enjoyed my membership there but the prices are too high.

Yelp
Excellent conference amenities and not too far from Circular Quay and the Rocks. The Staff are very friendly and helpful. If you get there early, especially, after a long travel from the states or elsewhere, you can always ask for the key to the downstairs gym to at least get a shower. Great view of the city if you are lucky enough to get a room with one. The rooms are large and you gotta love the king size bed!

Yelp
Really enjoyed our stay! City view was very nice. Room was a good size, very clean, decent size bathroom. The hotel itself is modern, and in a great location. Walking distance to everything including the opera house. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
