Hilton Vallarta Riviera All-Inclusive Resort

DO NOT STAY HERE We were extremely excited for our first trip to Puerto Vallarta, especially since we are loyal Hilton guests and frequently stay at Hilton properties. Unfortunately, this has been one of the worst resort experiences we have ever had. We have been staying at this resort since the 30th and have not had one good meal. Every meal has been cold, stale, or visibly old. Breakfast is something we now dread — the food is consistently cold, unappetizing, and poorly maintained. Sleep quality has also been very poor. The rooms are not restful, and between the overall discomfort and lack of attention to guest needs, getting proper sleep has been difficult throughout our stay. The rooms are never cleaned properly. You can not step barefoot as you’ll see how dirty the room is. This was not an inexpensive trip. We paid a significant amount of money for six people across three rooms, and the value simply is not there. The resort frequently runs out of basic items, including food options, snacks, and even toiletries. For an all-inclusive resort — and especially one under the Hilton name — this is unacceptable. The staff appears extremely overworked and disengaged. Very few employees smile or appear welcoming, which creates an uncomfortable and uninviting atmosphere. Customer service is severely lacking — most questions are met with “no,” and every staff member provides different information, leading to constant miscommunication and frustration. One employee, Alexandra, has been genuinely kind and has tried to help improve our stay, but she is clearly limited in what she is able to do. Unfortunately, one helpful person cannot compensate for poor management and lack of organization overall. We expected a relaxing, high-quality Hilton experience and instead have felt stressed, disappointed, and unheard. This resort does not meet Hilton standards, and we would not recommend it to anyone. Do better Hilton and most importantly the hotel needs to do better. save your money and STAY ELSEWHERE!

AVOID THIS RESORT AT ALL COSTS We just returned from this all-inclusive resort, and every single person in our family became violently ill—food poisoning, diarrhea, stomach cramps, and vomiting. This is the only vacation I have ever taken where I came home sicker, more exhausted, and more stressed than when I left. It felt like a complete waste of time and money. This place is extremely unsanitary. Nothing about the food felt fresh or safe. I personally witnessed a child touch a dessert repeatedly and then lick the top of it. I immediately reported this to staff and asked for it to be removed. I waited an unreasonable amount of time, and they never removed it. That moment alone should tell you everything you need to know about their food safety standards—there are none. If that can happen in plain sight, imagine what happens when no one is watching. The rooms were not properly cleaned, which only reinforced how dirty and poorly managed this property is. Hygiene and cleanliness are clearly not a priority anywhere on this resort. Service was equally awful. The restaurants were severely understaffed, with two waiters expected to manage an entire restaurant. As a result, staff were rude, dismissive, and uninterested. At one point we were told they had “run out” of guacamole, only to later learn the staff simply didn’t want to make more. That level of laziness and dishonesty is unacceptable. This resort is disgusting, poorly run, and unsafe. I would never recommend it to anyone—especially families. If you value cleanliness, basic food safety, or your health, stay far away.

DO NOT STAY HERE - ZERO VALUE FOR MONEY This has been one of the worst resort experiences we have ever had with a hotel in recent times. The buffet today was below average and the food was cold and unappetizing. Since we checked in today we were not even allowed to go to the restaurants - beyond pathetic. While the reception staff told us to walk in - the restaurants refused without reservation which you cannot do without a room number. The room AC and safe deposit box didn’t work so we called technicians. Despite 3 requests we got a mini bar that is totally empty and just had 3 cans of beer - not even a bottle of water. So we are giving up and hoping for better luck tomorrow. To top this - the hotel is refusing to give us points for our stay cause we made the reservation on another website. So essentially you pay a way higher rate on their site to get a few measly points. This is an expensive trip and we paid a significant amount of money - not one bit worth it. For an all-inclusive Hilton resort this is rather ridiculous. The staff are least bothered. There is no concept of accountability or customer service and you always get “no” for an answer. Calling the front desk or guest services from the room is the biggest mistake as no one answers. The pools closes quite early and the jacuzzi lacks heating so it’s freezing cold and there is not much to do at the resort late evening. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel was truly awesome. The bedroom was clean. We didn’t have any bugs. Our ocean view was absolutely beautiful and yes, the rain fall shower can be an issue but just put a towel down. We loved it. My only complaint was when we arrived. We did not get our ticket and suitcases brought to the room so we had to go down and get them ourselves. Also at the restaurants due to high volume service can be kind of slow but the food and the margaritas at Cocomar were great. I loved the shrimp at La Luce, yet my partner didn’t care for the beef brisket. They have 2 hot tubs at the Skybar at it was phenomenal. We’ll definitely be back

We chose this resort despite the high cost, expecting a comfortable and seamless all-inclusive experience. Unfortunately, we have encountered several major inconveniences that we would like to bring to your attention: 1. Restaurant reservations can only be made through the app, which makes it extremely difficult to book the restaurant and time we want. The reservation system is highly competitive, and as a result, we are often forced to go to the buffet instead. This is very disappointing and difficult to understand for an all-inclusive resort. 2. Several restaurants, as well as the breakfast buffet, are closed one or two days during the week. When this happens, the only option available through the app is room service, which takes an excessively long time. For an all-inclusive resort, having restaurants closed and such limited dining options is very inconvenient. 3. Compared to other all-inclusive resorts we have visited, reservations here are significantly more difficult to secure, and multiple restaurants are closed on specific days of the week, further limiting guest choices. 4. Securing reservations at our preferred times is virtually impossible. We have visited only two specialty restaurants so far—the sushi and Italian restaurants—and the food quality was extremely disappointing. In particular, the basic sushi rolls were comparable to supermarket quality. Unfortunately, guests should not expect high food quality at these restaurants. We hope you will take this feedback seriously, as it has greatly affected our overall experience.

My parents and I had an amazing experience at this Hilton Resort in Puerto Vallarta. I would recommend it to anyone visiting there. We would also like to thank the buffet waitresses Isela, Luis, and, Jorge for their excellent service. They would brighten our mornings during our stay.||The only issue we had was the jacuzzi system not being clean. Black particles kept coming out through the jets every time I would try to use it.||We would recommend a more outgoing atmosphere such as music until at least midnight. I know it’s in respect to kids but there is always a certain area that i’m sure they can play music to respect others such as maybe the special event area on the north side of the resort. But overall an amazing experience. Thank you!

Wasn't on our bucket list but the grandniece scheduled here for a destination wedding. Was skeptical about safety (totally unfounded) and price, but all-inclusive was REALLY all-inclusive and absolutely a bargain! The hotel staff (100s) were all five star and the management superb, straightening out a glitch in booking. Five + restaurants, all you can eat, and the food is excellent especially the fresh exotic fruits. Steaks are cooked to your liking and wonderful. Sit and eat all day if you like, its included! Rooms are large, sparkling clean and very comfortable. Even the room fridge items and snacks are included and stocked daily. As for location, the hotel sits on the prime beach, however it's 45 min from the airport over a scenic but bumpy ride. Ubers can be $15 or private car (we paid $70 cash) which included shots of tequila at the airport and jump to the front of the two hour queue. Airport is super modern and immigration easy peasy. Lots of programs and activities for the kids and an indoor nursery. WiFi has never been better. One caution, only the rooms are air conditioned. We are going back for sure!

The food was absolutely incredible, very reminiscent of Italy. The calzone and pizza crust were homemade and very high quality and the pastas all had incredible sauces. The servers were attentive, and though the food took a little while, we didnt mind because the atmosphere was great. There was a man performing, and he had a great voice, and it wasn’t too loud. One dish that stood out to me was a dessert calzone. It wasn’t listed in the desserts section, but it was full of apple, caramel and cinnamon with ice cream on top. Overall a great experience and we will be coming back during our trip.

We had high hopes for this resort after reading numerous reviews. We contacted the concierge ahead of time to make dinner reservations the night we arrived. Unfortunately, our plane was delayed and we missed our reservation. Although we emailed when we landed, we were told that our only option was the buffet even though there were 4 restaurants on site. After a harsh conversation, we were finally seated at a restaurant that had many empty tables. Being a diamond member, we were shocked that there was no extra effort made to help us after an extremely long day of travel. It's also important to know that the pool does not receive any sun until after 11am.

10/19/24: Visiting from Dallas, TX. This was our first visit, and we decided to celebrate our anniversary here. We knew that it was a family friendly property, but nonetheless we wanted to check it out. We had a great time, and got to know some of the staff. We had a great room with a fantastic view of the ocean. The balcony was large enough for us, and we spent quite a bit of time there. We had no issues getting reservations for the restaurants, and we really enjoyed the Mexican restaurant. Tableside guacamole was the best! Cecilia was one of the concierges, and she was great! She made it easy for us to make restaurant reservations. Jared, at the front desk was nice, and he took care of our anniversary gift, which was sent to the room. Felipe, at the pool bar, was very friendly and made some great drinks, which looked and tasted good. We didn't notice any "warm" areas in the water at the pool bar, which was a good thing. Christian was a great bartender, and we saw him at the seafood restaurant, and in the lobby bar. Esmeralda, at the food truck, was great. Good burgers and fries. Victor was a great bartender at the Martini Lounge, and made me a good coconut mojito. Natalio, at the Sky Bar, was our MVP! Great bartender and very friendly. He set us up at the jacuzzi, and made us some very good drinks, and a few mocktails. We truly enjoyed chatting with him. The Sky Bar was our favorite spot. Nothing like sitting in the jacuzzi with a cocktail, and enjoying the view of the ocean. We spent a few days there, as it wasn't very busy. The Sky Bar, the pool bar, and the Martini Lounge were adults only section, and we thoroughly enjoyed each of those areas. We didn't have any issues with the food. There were plenty of condiments available, and different levels of hot sauce. We also ordered room service, and we enjoyed everything that we ordered. The weather was great, we enjoyed this property, and would definitely stay here again! Thanks to the staff for a great stay!

This was our first time in PV and we absolutely loved Hilton Vallarta Riviera. The entire staff was so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I'd like to call out a few of our favorite employees. Edgar and Esteban in La Luce restaurant always greeted us warmly and made our dinners special, making sure to keep our wine glasses full and offering great food suggestions. Thank you to Martin at Sunan Sushi, you made us feel so welcomed and always added a personal touch. Norah (and her team) at Vela for breakfast was outstanding! She got to know us by name and what special drinks we liked (fresh squeezed orange and grapefruit juices) She always had an amazing smile and was very attentive. While on the beach Juan was always eager to get us chairs and an umbrella. He made sure we had everything we needed all day long. I can't believe how delicious all the food is here! So healthy and fresh! We enjoyed the restaurants and the reservation system was easy to navigate. Never had any issues getting into a restaurant at our preferred time. We absolutely loved the food trucks as well, so fresh and yummy. Couldn't get enough of the fresh made guacamole and bowls of freshly cut local fruits. We saw many whales daily from our room. The rooms are beautiful, roomy and the furniture is quite comfortable! The cushions on the ocean front balconies are amazing and so clean! I Kayaked several times and even got to kayak along side several Manta Rays (8-12 feet wide). The water here is clean, clear, warm and oh so inviting!! Can't wait to come back!

This was a magical 30th birthday! For such a large resort they really truly made it such a personalized experience. Every single one of the staff was beyond amazing. The views breathtaking the whales everyday amazing. The food incredible. The events were so much fun! Everything is so well thought out we had the best time! We stay 4 nights i recommend 5 nights to truly get to try all of the food. We went to every restaurant except mexcal. Hugo and Bianca were the hosts of the vents and they made everything unforgettable. Israel helped us with the kayaks and was super welcoming and funny. Jorge was a great bartender! All the bartenders were funny and nice. Everyone we interacted with was just top tier!

We stayed here over Thanksgiving 2024. We loved our stay. Here are some of the pros and cons. Pros: 1. Price wise this was in the mid range of all inclusives. 2. The location is wonderful. Right on the ocean and you are feel like you are in your own world. They have a guarded gate at the front of the hotel. 3. The grounds are so pretty and they are neither too big nor too small. The pools were always kept clean. And service by the pools was fantastic. There is also a nice swimming area in the ocean right in front of the resort. They have pool chairs everywhere- some with ocean views and some with pool views. Get there early to claim yours. 4. The main buffet had everything we could ask for. Lots of fresh fruit, eggs, omelets, bacon, cereal, just everything. Also we really enjoyed the asian restaurant. 5. We were upgraded to a larger room, and if you can do it, it is well worth it. It is a beautiful clean room that is double the size of a regular room with two very large bathrooms, a living room and a dining table. All of the rooms have gorgeous views. 6. The lobby is beautiful and it was a nice spot to sit and enjoy the view. 7. They offer fun activities for people to take part in. I participated in a poolside cycle class, bingo, and guacamole making. All were energetic and fun. And there are many more activities! Cons: 1. We had a bit of a challenge booking restaurants. The resort insists that you book through the app, but we could only book one person at a time. We did get it rectified, but it took a day or two. Also, when booking they gave us just one, maybe two times to choose from but when we dined at the restaurants there were numerous empty tables and they did not seem busy at all. 2. It may not be the hotel's fault, but a couple of elevators were not working. There are two different sides to the hotel, and one side was only being serviced by one elevator so there were long waits. 3. I think the only thing that we wanted to do, but did not get a chance to do was kayak. It is only available until 2:30 each day and filled up quickly.

Our 5 day 4 night stay here was perfect and I cant thank the staff enough for making our vacation a great one. It was my first time booking an all inclusive vacation so I was not sure what to expect. A week prior to our stay, the staff reached out to me and reassured that everything was set and ready for our arrival. Communication was great throughout and the concierge team did a great job of being available 24/7. Checking in was easy and the employee was very friendly. We were given a Hilton bracelet that would be used as the key to our room and to show proof we were guests. The bracelet must be returned at the end of the stay! Our room was spacious, clean, and the mini bar was stocked daily with snacks and drinks. Room service was available at all times and the food was pretty good. We dined at 3 of the restaurants on the property and got drinks at the pool bar and at Encore. We visited La Luce, Vela Food Hall, and Sunan Sushi. We also got crepes at Rincon - the hangout spot and burgers and guac from the food tucks by the pool area. We swam everyday, walked on the beach, played bingo on bingo night, kayaked in the morning time, listened to live music in the lobby after dinner, and ate 24/7. We tried doing the arts and crafts activity a few times but every time we we went, it was full. They only had like 10 spots available so the spots would run out fast. I received a complimentary upgrade so my room had beautiful view on the 11th floor and we enjoyed sitting on the deck just taking it all in. We felt safe on the property at all times and there is security down at the gate checking people in and out. The resort has what seemed like a jungle on one side and the ocean on the other so it was very humid. We kept our AC running at all times and it did its job as our room was cold. Do wear bug spray at all times!!

I can't recommend you stay here enough. We booked through Costco and the whole process was a breeze. Located about 30 minutes from PVR airport, the drive here was actually quite nice. You get to see a lot of the city and once you arrive to the mountain side, you're hit with the beautiful mountains meet ocean views. Everyone was extremely nice, we always felt welcomed and safe whether it be in the hallways or the extraordinary dining staff. They have strict security outside before anyone could enter the property. Bring small bills, I'd say $15/day to tip the hardworking staff. You can see their sweat through the PVR heat and humidity but they never failed to deliver extraordinary service with a smile. Food: -Seasalt Steakhouse: very good New York strip and octopus. Order whatever your heart desires even 2 entrees lol. -Cocomar: great for lunch. Come right at opening at noon to avoid a long wait. No reservation for this. -La Luce: our fanciest dining experience. Great Italian food, atmosphere, and has A/C. -Martini bar: the HIDDEN GEM at this whole resort. It had blasting A/C, sports screen TVs, board games, and a pool table. Adults only and most nights only had a few people. -Get poolside burgers and guacamole & chips daily from the food trucks. -Vela buffet serves 3 meals a day and offered a great selection. -Room service took about an hour (order extra bottled water if needed or get them at the bars before you head back to your room for the night). Pro tips: -Bring lots of sunscreen and bug spray (our legs got beat up when we dined outside). -Bring a portable hand held fan for each guest if you can spare it (most of the restaurants don't have A/C). -Bring cash to tip the amazing staff.

When there with friends & family to celebrate my fiancé's Birthday as well as her sisters b day. Also I had just proposed to my fiancé recently too so it was even more special. Hotel staff food everything was wonderful. Best pool bartender Enrique espinoza. He always out does him self with the drinks. He evolves every time. Such a good dude. Had a blast.

Our stay at the Hilton Vallarta Riviera All Inclusive was fantastic! For an all-inclusive resort, the food was impressively good. I highly recommend trying the sushi place on the same floor as the lobby--it doesn't require a reservation, unlike some of the other restaurants. The breakfast buffet never disappointed, offering a variety of delicious options each morning. One of the highlights of our stay was the different activities scheduled throughout the day, which kept us entertained and engaged. The gym was well-equipped for those who like to maintain their workout routine while on vacation. They also offer workout classes, but one thing I didn't like was that they conduct them in the middle of the pool area where everyone can watch you. All the rooms have a stunning beach view, which added to the overall experience. The beach was clean and fun to swim in. One of the towers features various bars on different floors, including a martini bar, mojito bar, the sky lounge with hot tubs, and, of course, a pool bar down at the pool. Another appreciated feature of this hotel is the ability to request a late check-out. If you're lucky, you can extend your stay until 2 pm, which is a nice touch. Overall, the Hilton Vallarta Riviera All Inclusive provided an excellent vacation experience with its great food, beautiful views, and diverse amenities. Highly recommended!

Had a suite with a hot tub. I think it was on the enclave. The snacks and drinks in the fridge were suppose to be refilled daily but they were never refilled. If you want room service, you need to wait for 2 hours before receiving it most of the time. The hot tub itself was always dirty so we didn't feel like using it everyday like planned. However, what is great about this place are the staff, particularly the la luce restaurant, sea salt, and the bars. Especially the bars. Victor and someone else I can't recall his name provided great service. Extremely friendly and attentive. The shows were fun to watch, but it would be nice to receive a heads up for fireworks. It's a startling surprise when you don't expect a big boom right outside the balcony.

We recently stayed at the Hilton Vallarta Riviera for 4 nights, booked through Costco. The package we got was the Enclave Premium Oceanfront Room with Jetted Tub and to our surprise we were upgraded to the Enclave Oceanview Governor Suite 1 King with Jet Tub! Staying in the Enclave levels allows check in/out on the 13th level in and access to the Enclave Lounge. Patricia made our check in process seamless and even though we arrived early, we were given our bracelets and access to food/drink before 3pm. Our room was excellent - very spacious and clean, with only a few cosmetic flaws (nothing to upset our stay). Loved the minibar selection and how special they welcomed us and celebrated my husband's birthday (cake brought to us in the evening). The jet tub was a little cumbersome - took a while to fill up and wasn't clear how to operate (they sent a couple people to help my husband get it going). We had issue with the website to make reservations. For some reason, our account was linked with other people from other stays which prohibited us from making reservations. We emailed the concierge and had no problem the first dinner, but when we went to confirm with the concierge after not receiving an email confirmation the following day, Edson told us we shouldn't email and that we should only use the website. After he attempted to assist us and realized the website was malfunctioning, even after sending another link, he made a reservation. After that interaction, we only used the Enclave to help with needs. Karen in the Enclave was very helpful in assisting us with additional reservations and room needs (ie more Nespresso pods). There are so many activities to enjoy, and the activities team were excellent! Edgar and Alan were wonderful! We especially enjoyed the tequila tasting class (MUST DO!), Lotería, and guacamole making class. All the performances were entertaining - especially the Aqua Light Show! Our favorite restaurants were Maxal (Thank you, Karen & Dulce!), La Luce (Thank you, Andre & Alex!), Cocomar (Thank you, Armando & David!), and Sunan (Thank you, Brayan & Gerardo!). Breakfast buffet at Vela were always filling and had such a wide variety. We were well cared for by Isela, Luis, Luz, Edgar, and Ricardo. My husband was especially appreciative of Marcos running the egg made to order and waffles. Everyone at the poolside was attentive and so friendly - Eduardo was the first to help us before our room was ready while we grabbed a bite at the food trucks. Don't forget to have some pesos to tip your servers! We took a taxi into town for a day and the hotel made it easy to arrange and provided advice to ensure an agreed price with the taxi returning before getting in. Check out was easy at the Enclave lounge and we were allowed a late check out, however, still had about an hour before our ride back to the airport, so we hung out in the Enclave lounge and enjoyed a drink and the view before our time to leave. TLDR: Great deal booked with Costco for our first time in Puerto Vallarta. Nice all-inclusive resort with plenty of pool options and beach access. A few minor hiccups/cosmetic flaws, but nothing to ruin our time. We would definitely stay here again!

An impressive resort, with incredibly friendly staff, great food, and the suites are some of the largest I have seen. All guest rooms have ocean views. Modern, clean decor with gray tile, and white marble everywhere. We upgraded to a Governor suite, and it is large enough for an entire family, with 2 bathrooms, and an impressive living area. The outdoor space was unreal, with a sun deck, personal jacuzzi, and 3 ocean view balconies. We had a King bed, and there was a day bed, and an oversized couch, so you could easily sleep 5 people. I could go on forever, but you just have to see it for yourself. I will give it a solid 4.5, with almost everything being 5 star, but distance from the airport (45 minutes), and nothing nearby, (25 minutes to downtown), makes it just shy of being perfect.

Beautiful location on the water with a protected lagoon. Amazing service from the front desk to room service and everywhere in between. The restaurants were fantastic, of course we had our favorites. La Luce and our servers Sergio and Brian made every visit special. Jaun and Eduardo on the beach kept the drinks flowing, their infectious positive vibes kept us comfortable and happy! There were so many people that made our stay quite memorable!

We had a great experience here for a family vacation during the summer of 2024. The place is clean and the staff is awesome. The all inclusive type is really great and provides a mentally, more stress-free experience. I really liked all the food we had, from room service in the morning to nice sit down dinners and everything in between. Drinks and food were all enjoyable. Wonderful. The people here are the best. Always willing to help and accommodate. The waiters, cooks, bartenders, room service personnel, all were fantastic. Everything was easy. You want something? They get it for you with a smile. You have a slight issue? Boom, solved. The views are beautiful and the ocean is warm. It's a 20 minute taxi ride into town. I highly recommend doing this. The town is delightful and highly cultural. The people in town are very nice. The food is great, especially breakfast. Room service is never late and they are super friendly Some advice: Brush up on your Español before coming here. It's good to know basic phrases! Enjoy your trip. You won't regret it

I don't even know where to begin! This hotel is PERFECT! I have to start by giving a huge shout out to the AMAZING activities team ever! Bibi! Blanca, Saul, Violeta, Onel, and Wiyonal! They helped me so much for all things fitness! I was the international guest instructor and they helped me with everything and supported me 100% of the time. So many guest enjoyed doing Zumba and Aqua Zumba with them participating every time. Also, the beach volleyball, the random pool games, and the aqua strong was SO MUCH FUN! Also, the gym was spotless clean and I loved the aromatherapy. The activities department was out of this world top notch and super fun and professional. I always saw Enrique and Alan and they were so nice and engaging with everyone at every event. I enjoyed every event from the fire show, to the movie trivia night, to the silent dance party, and especially the mexican fiesta! Absolutely the best! The food! So much variety! I enjoyed all of the restaurants, but overall the buffet at the Vera was my absolute favorite. I restaurants had high quality and small portioned food which was good, but that buffet had everything I could ask for always available. All of the host/hostesses were extremely sweet and accommodating. The rooms are all ocean view and the turn down services are phenomenal! I can't believe how quick and precise they are with cleaning. I wanted to tip them but I could never find housekeeping. I was on the 5th floor. It was quiet every time. The pools are infinity pools and they have an adult pool and a family pool. I loved the design. They did a great job of separating the two since the adult pool has the bar. Both Jose's at the pool bar were beyond spectacular! They were so funny and creative with the drinks and personal with all of us. Finally, Safety! I have traveled and I have never felt more safe at a hotel then I did at the Hilton. They had top notch security when arriving and leaving the hotel and overall throughout the hotel. I REALLY appreciated that a lot. This is a MUST book all inclusive resort and we will definitely be back!

*Would be 2 stars if we paid for it but we used points (100,000 a night) & it was OK for a "free" trip* TLDR: Every room has great views. There is a separate adults only pool (with swim-up bar) vs. family pool. Food won't blow you away but wasn't bad for an all-inclusive. There is NOTHING to do after 10pm except hang out at the lobby bar with all the other bored adults :) I much prefer Hyatt Ziva Cabo over this property & will probably visit Hyatt Ziva PV next time. The customer service is just different. Background: We visited this resort before when it was Grand Fiesta + adults only (didn't have a kid yet). This time around, we brought our toddler because it is now family friendly! Transportation: We wanted to use Vallarta Transfers again but they were completely booked for our April 2024 visit so we used Vallarta Vamonos. Excellent customer service but might try a taxi next time because the drive through PV feels safer than Cabo. I believe it was $150 round trip? Check-in: This was a pro! We got to the hotel around 1pm after flying out from SNA at 8am. Because of our Gold status, we got a free room upgrade to a room worth 300,000 a night (not worth it if you are using your own points) + opted for a corner ocean-view suite which was perfect for us because no one walked by our room. We were able to access our room right away which was a huge plus. I know they would've taken our bags and let us enjoy the resort right away if the room hadn't been ready. One con was that it took FOREVER for them to deliver a crib so keep that in mind if your babe needs to nap ASAP. The crib was super comfy and clean - I liked that it had a washable cover/lining. It was super convenient that the bracelets had the QR code for the hotel's activities and restaurants and the fact that they worked as your room key! Restaurants ranked from favorite to least favorite: -La Luce was our favorite meal! The servers were great and the food was pretty delicious. The beef carpaccio was our favorite appetizer and the short ribs, salmon and pear pizza were delicious. The risotto was undercooked and the soup wasn't great. And of course, the desserts were yummy - we got one of each. -Seasalt for lunch was delicious. Both times I tried it, they had different items. Carnitas was a big hit! -Poolside paella was one of the better meals. They made a HUGE pan filled with lots of seafood. -Trucks: Only spot we could find guacamole. The chips were deliciously crunchy. -Buffet: Only spot that's open until noon I think. Offerings weren't amazing and servers were hardworking but overworked. I believe I mostly ate omelettes. -Sunam Sushi was not good at all. The server did not get our order right which was fine because the rolls weren't good but I would go again for the sashimi and views! -Cocomar was our first meal yet disappointing. I'd skip it and do the lunch buffet at Seasalt every time! A lot of guests opted for the burger truck which we didn't try. Other: Mojito lounge: Our favorite! The bartender was great and everyone (including us) was just hanging out and having a great time on the swinging seats. Family lounge / 12th floor: This is where the ice cream is at! Martini lounge: Underwhelming and not a vibe lol. We got there "in time for one last drink" even though there were 15 minutes left before closing. Beach: Very swimmable and a lot of people were in the water enjoying the waves! They also had kayaking available. Mosquitos: My husband got eaten ALIVE last time we were here but this time, only got bit once! We brought spray and wipes but didn't really need them. This is not a 4 star hotel, more like 2. The rooms and the amenities were extremely underwhelming. There is a stain on every single thing you touch and absolutely nothing seems to be clean. The WiFi signal is terrible, so much so, the apps on the tv don't even work. The "bars"severely lack ascetics. There are no drink menus and no one has been able to make a decent cocktail. It's pretty much an hour away from everything. I've stayed at many hiltons, and I truly wonder how this qualified as a Hilton. It feels more like a Red Roof inn. VERY POOR QUALITY, DO NOT BOOK

My wife and I booked through Costco to get 10 days here. We weren't sure what to expect based on some do the older reviews. However we were so pleasantly impressed with everything. All the food was amazing! The staff was incredible friendly, and the rooms were fantastic. Some of the complaints in the older reviews make this place not sound desirable, but honestly we would come back. It was such a great experience and we were here during the cyclone season. Definitely recommend, awesome pools, awesome service, food, and events. 10/10

Mixed Experience at Hilton Vallarta Resort Our stay at the Hilton Vallarta Resort was a bit of a culinary adventure with some highs and lows. While the resort boasted stunning views from different spots and the bartenders at the bar impressed with their drink creations, there were some notable downsides. Dining experiences were hit or miss - some dishes were delightful while others left me wanting more. And speaking of dining, the lack of AC outside the room made me sweat through meals, and the outdated TVs without Wi-Fi access were a struggle, especially when trying to entertain the kids. Getting to the city required a 20-minute drive, which was a bit of an inconvenience. The hostesses didn't win any awards in the friendliness department, often shuffling around and leaving a less-than-welcoming impression. On rainy days, the Wi-Fi acted up, leaving me disconnected when I needed it most. The front desk and pool admins could use some charm school - their attitude was far from hospitable. The pool, touted as a paradise, fell short of expectations with its occasional dirtiness and the bug-filled aftermath of left-out food and drinks. Long waits for restaurant seating became the norm, as they didn't take reservations. And why the "no kids under 12" rule at certain restaurants? A bit puzzling. Oddly enough, some food was only available poolside and not through room service. Tipping at the front desk felt one-sided, as I didn't see the same effort put into making our stay special. On the bright side, room service was a standout, thanks to Mario and his team. They brought gourmet goodness straight to our room, and poolside runners added a touch of convenience to our lounging. The 12th-floor game room was a nice escape, offering ice cream, espresso, and crepes - a sweet treat indeed. In the end, while the Hilton Vallarta Resort had its moments, the inconsistent experiences, lack of amenities, and less-than-stellar service left me feeling like something was missing. The family time and gorgeous views did add a touch of charm, but overall, it fell short of making a lasting impression. If you're looking for a memorable getaway, you might want to explore other options before booking here.

Value xxxx If you get a deal for 4 people ALL INCLUSIVE 2 adults and 2 kids below 4000$ from USA then great value, anything more than that you over pay Hotel xxx Ok this one was a little tricky. Hotel itself is amazing but pool was super dirty then beach was exactly next to it and Crystal clear. Then hotel was nice over all but their restaurants TRUNED OFF THE AC to get people to eat fast and leave unless it was a adult only lounge then the AC was working. Cleaning was in excellent level but building is located next to forest that means lots of bugs at night and a crab in hallway that we made friends. And list was going on and on Buffet XXXX It was 2 of them and both was ok . It was hot and I couldn't eat omelette. Rest was ok RestaurantXXXX Their Thai was amazing Italian was horrible (service) Everything else in between SERVICE XXXXX excellent like any other place I was in Mexico the cleaning crew , hospitality minus pool men. Entertainment XXX IT WAS OK every night day have some fire show or circus or acrobatic etc. pool X As I mentioned horrible Ocean Xxxxx Was great FOOD Xxxx It was great not amazing but great . Specially Thai restaurant.

Posting this here for my wife: My husband and I had a very disappointing stay at the Hilton Riviera Puerto Vallarta. I will start with the list of good things about this hotel, since it is pretty short. The staff (besides the front desk--see below) is very nice and helpful. Our room was very clean and had a beautiful ocean view. The room service food is pretty decent and we had some pretty good seafood at the Cocomar restaurant. Now on to the bad: 1). Rude and not accommodating front desk. The front desk was fine when we checked in for us. However another group that came with us had to wait over an hour because they lost their reservation. They eventually found them a room, but this was definitely a concerning sign. The big issue we had was when we checked out. This hotel uses a wrist band system that gives you access to the different amenities. Also depending on what room you booked, you get a different colored wrist band that allows you to access a few different locations at the resort that others cannot access. This wristbands were nice since you didn't have to remember your keycard but the color system was frustrating and we didn't know parts of the resort were gate locked behind booking more expensive rooms. They do not make this clear when you book. So when we checked out at noon we weren't planning on leaving till 5pm. Every other resort I have ever been to has been fine with me still enjoying the resort after my checkout time until I have to leave. However, at the Hilton Riviera they said we must have our wristband removed by 2pm with no exceptions. Then when I asked the front desk if we could still enjoy the pool or get some food, I was rudely told to wait in the lobby for hours instead. I told him I was a Hiltons Honors member but apparently this made no difference to him. The other really annoying thing is I had breast milk I needed to store after we checked out (again because I wouldn't be leaving for 5 hours). When I asked the front desk they said they had no refrigerator or freezer they could keep it in for me. But I found out after that my friend who was also staying at the hotel asked the front desk to put her breast milk in the freezer and they did that with no problem. I guess they chose not to give me the same service. 2). Difficulty making restaurant reservations. Their system for making restaurant reservations is really bad and confusing. We arrived on a Friday and thought we were making a reservation for the Mexican restaurant that night, however, the app didn't make it clear that the restaurant is closed on Fridays (for some reason) and the reservation we were making was actually for Saturday. So we waited for our reservation time and walked to the restaurant only to find out that it was closed so we had to eat the buffet for dinner. The buffet wasn't horrible, but it definitely was good either. Another person in our group was unable to make any reservations due to some glitch or issue with the app. The only way to make a reservation instead was to call the front desk. We tried calling the front desk to make a reservation when we were also having an issue with the app but no one answered. We called two more times until we finally got through (also frustrating). Finally, almost all of the restaurants are closed for lunch. Your only food options are the buffet, food trucks, or the sea food restaurant (which was pretty good). 3). Worst shower head I've ever had in a hotel. Literally the smallest shower head I have ever seen in a hotel with really low water pressure. This is a small issue, but with everything else, this was pretty annoying. 4). Construction sounds. They were working on some construction right next to the pool Saturday morning for a few hours. It was incredibly loud and made it difficult to relax by the pool. All in all we were definitely disappointed with our trip here. These resorts cost so much money and I have had nothing but good experiences at other resorts. This was the first time I felt like a resort front desk was rude and not accommodating. I do not think my friend group and I will plan to come back to this location.

Our original trip to Jordan and Israel was canceled for obvious reasons so we decided on a short Al inclusive through Costco. Costco sometimes has really good deals for trip packages including airfare and they provide free airport transfer as well as a Costco cash card too, $91 in this case. We're here for 5 days, leaving tomorrow. Pros: - Bed is very comfortable, rooms are a good size. The partial ocean view on the 3rd floor North tower is actually a full view. I love that I can hear the waves at night. Also, the sound proofing of the walls is very good. Housekeeping also doesn't start cleaning at 7 am and waking you up. - Room service and restaurant hours are very good. Breakfast is until noon and lunch is until 5 pm! - Resort is pretty quiet- mostly small families and couples, not a lot of drunk party people. I usually get woken up late at night by drunk adults and noisy kids in the am but for the first time Thư's didn't ballet. - Beach and pool areas are nice with plenty of beach chairs available, though this might be because it was late November. - Most of the staff are super nice! Cons: - Checking in was an ordeal, or specifically getting a good room was. We booked 5 single rooms and I called a few weeks in advance requesting to link the rooms. We arrived at around 1 pm, was told 2 rooms were available and the rest we have to wait until 3 pm, but were assured the rooms were linked and near each other. When I went back at 3 pm I was given a room next to the elevator on a different floor, which is usually noisy. They kept insisting that I pay for an upgrade. I had to argue with them for 30 minutes. First they said I should've called in advance to link rooms (I did) then that there was nothing on the reservation linking (lies because the 1 pm rep said it was), then that there was no rooms until 3 days later. I was then offered a worse room on the first floor opening up to the children's pool! After much back forth and asking for a manager, they miraculously found me a room. - Hotel really need an upgrade. It's showing heavy wear and tear. The elevator was broken or down to 1 for almost the whole 5 days. The pillows are completely flat. The bathrooms in the rooms have cracks and stains. - Plumbing issues- the water has stopped running twice now in 2 days. It's not for a long time but it's still inconvenient and not something I've ever experienced at a big hotel chain before. I also noticed after the first time it happened, a sewer smell started up in the toilet room. It's not bad if I close that door but it's still unpleasant. - Food quality is inconsistent- some of the restaurants are good and some are pretty bad. When we went to La Luce Italian it was as if they poured salt all over every dish, inedible. They also run out of food at the buffets and the poolside grill too. The purpose of an all inclusive is to eat when I want, not rush to restaurants in case they run out. - Lots of mosquitoes! I'm glad they don't spray too much insecticide but this is probably the most mosquitoes I've seen at a resort. - Spa- I don't even know how to describe this, you have to experience it yourself. When you go, you're led from one thing to next- 5 min steam, 5 min dry steam, soak in hot water pool, soak in cold water pool, sit on the lounge chair and receive min scalp rub etc., exactly in that sequence. It was militant and not relaxing to be corralled from one spot to the next with no freedom to explore the spa. Overall, for the price we paid I think this resort was good. The food overall was good and the staff especially food services were all lovely. Shout out to omelet man at breakfast. He makes the best omelets ever. That said, the cons listed above were pretty bad and I am not sure if I would come back.

Nothing I write in this review will even come close to describing the quality of our experience when visiting and staying at the Hilton all inclusive in puerto Vallarta. I am actually very sad to leave. Overall the hotel property and beach area were unbelievable and very well kept . The staff in a whole not only do an amazing job but they also take a lot of pride in their work. The daily schedule of activities varied and the entertainment crew were fantastic but Wiyonal aka "the best fitness coach" was super motivating funny and all around just a happy guy. Everyone needs a daily dose of Wiyonal. Sergio at the Italian restaurant makes you feel like you are at his house for dinner and a very genuine person his singing voice is incredible. The food at every restaurant was spectacular which hardly ever happens at an all inclusive. The breakfast spread was almost intimidating because there were so many options. Victor at the lobby bar made sure our glasses were filled even with a full bar of customers. So aside from eating and drinking the spa appointment was worth every penny and all this was thanks to Diana and Lexie. Overall an amazing trip and I can't wait to come back again. Thank you everyone for such an unbelievable time it was a pleasure.

Nice place ocean beach front all rooms with ocean views. It is all inclusive. Unfortunately the 5 days we were there we were out and about and did not enjoy the full all inclusive amenities as we should. (Left in morning and came back late at night) Pros: 1) food is decent with a wide variety of foods to choose from with multiple restaurants. Food portions per person are pretty good with exception of the pizza which I feel they could make smaller. 2) rooms and linens are clean 3) staff friendly and responsive to your requests. 4) they have nightly entertainment (even though we were out and about. 5) they give you a wristlet and allows access to room so you can't misplace your keys. Cons: 1) somewhat far from the downtown areas and activities so you will need to spend more on taxi/transportation. 2) of the 5 days we were there, there were 2 days when we came back and our luggage was rummaged through. Clothes were shifted as was position of luggage zippers. We only had clothes on the luggage and nothing was missing. We were worried about staff retaliation so we just let the front desk know as we were leaving. The manager did reach out and I provided all the details. So final words is to either not bring any valuables with you or keep those with you at all times. (If not for this I would have rated 4 stars. But feeling safe and secure where you are is important. 3) not everything is all inclusive. There are items on menu and snacks that you do have to pay out of pocket for if you want.

Stayed here one night. We enjoyed our time here. They have about 5 restaurants. Someone gave me a tip to make reservations in case they don't have seating. Some of the restaurants will have steak and wine with prices, these are in addition to your stay (so not included). The food was pretty good but don't think you'll be blown away. The buffet is alright, again, nothing out of this world. Service was pretty good everywhere we went, the beach service was fantastic, the views are wonderful. It's a bit pricey, i paid about $500 a night for 2 adults. Tip: make reservations to places you want to eat ahead of time in case they fill up.

Beautiful property with a safe swimming beach. Many restaurants with top notch food! The staff is so attentive and the rooms all seem to have an ocean view. Highly recommend! We've come back every year for three years!

My family of 2 adults and two children visited Hilton Vallarta in late January for five nights for our winter getaway trip to Puerto Vallarta in 2023. Location - This resort is one of the farther south of the city about 15-20 minutes outside of Old Town. If you are wanting to walk to local places, this resort will be too secluded for your tastes but if you want peace and quiet and a beach almost all to yourself (and other resort guests), this is the location for you. If you want to experience downtown, it is super easy and pretty cheap to get a quick cab ride to more touristy destinations. Great bonus about the location - since it is farther away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you see more wildlife in the water i.e. dolphins and whales! Resort Rooms - Our room was amazing. We were fortunate enough to get a room that overlooked the adults rooftop bar so had a huge wrap-around patio. All the rooms are ocean facing and have spectacular views of the Bay of Banderas. If you are lucky, you will be able to spot whales and dolphins from the comfort of your patio. We saw baby and adult humpback whales breaching and tail slapping all week in the ocean, so cool. Beach - The beach is small but enough space to enjoy yourself and not feel crowded. You can only walk so far before you are stopped by either rock outcroppings or no beach so you won't be walking for miles on the warm sand here. The resort has constructed breakers off the coast to shelter the beach from the waves so swimming is more relaxed than at other resorts right on the beach. No many shells to be found but lots of colorful rocks for collectors. Pool - There are two pools - one adults only and one all ages in the main pool area. On the roof, there is an adults only bar that has two hot tubs that overlook the ocean. I spent a good chunk of my day up there, loved it. It reminded me of being on a cruise ship. It was never hard to get a chair around the pool or beach. The all ages pool tended to fill up faster than the adults only pool because you get more sun over at the all ages pool. Restaurants and Buffet - I was expecting good food quality since this was a Hilton and I was not disappointment. The buffet for breakfast was great, lots of rotating options each day. Normally for lunch, we would grab a burger from the grill or fish tacos from the seafood place close to the pools. I recommend the seafood place if that is your jam. We also tried the sushi place and they did pretty good for a limited menu. Very fresh and tasty options. Did I mention that you can get unlimited gelato for most of the day at the coffee shop onsite? Yum. For dinners, we ate at the restuarants and avoided the buffet. We enjoyed the Italian, Asian (my favorite), and Steakhouse restaurants and absolutely hated the Mexican place (slow, slow service and tough and tasteless food - worst food all trip). What a shame since we were in Mexico! One night they put on an outdoor Mexican festival with live music, dancing, and food. That was really fun and had much better food available. Drinks & Bars - A bit disappointed with this. Drinks were just OK. I was expecting much better quality from their cocktails but they kept coming up lacking. I found myself gravitating to top shelf rum/bourbon and coke or ginger ale more than anything else. I was able to get enough drinks out of the deal to be content enough but just expecting a little higher standards from Hilton. Staff - Friendly and welcoming. We never had an issue with any of the staff. Everyone was super helpful and accommodating. It helps if you learn a little Spanish and do what you can to show that you are trying to communicate. As always, kindness and gratitude goes a long ways. Our kids loved the Kids Club and always had a blast. They barely wanted to hang out with us! Entertainment - There was something happening each night that was put on by the entertainment staff. There is no theater or designated entertainment venue at this resort so sometimes it would be in the lobby or by the pool deck. We didn't go to everything but it was nice to have options. Honestly, after sitting in the sun all day, we called it quits earlier than normal to get a good rest in and wake up bright and early with the sun. We did end up booking an excursion through the hotel to go whale watching one morning. We saw over 50 whales, it was totally worth the extra $ and time to go. Amazing. Lunch and drinks (think build your own sandwiches, salads, and fresh fruit with rum punch, fruit juices, and pop) were also included with price. We paid about $325 for a family of four - totally worth it. Final Verdict - Our family had a great holiday. It was relaxing, we ate and drank way more than we normally do, and I got to eat fresh guac every single day. As Hilton Diamond members, our stay was made extra special with a room upgrade and being able to use points to pay for this stay.

We had a great time here at this all inclusive resort. We ordered room service about everyday. They have a mini fridge filled with alcoholic beverages and regular drinks. There are different restaurants on the resort that you can reserve seatings for at dinner time. There are also restaurants that you can eat in as a walk in based. The pools are heated during the cold hours and the pool bar is fantastic. You can also order pool side food and drinks. Everything was all inclusive. I didn't bring my kids with me but the kids club had tie dye making shirts, bracelets making, dances, and Spanish class. They have a decent gym and different classes for workouts as well. There are multiple bars on the premises. They have taxis to take you into town. FYI the flea market sells everything for double the price so just bargain with half of what they tell you. Also check Amazon or Temu cuz you can most likely get the items for cheaper. Have fun!

I stayed here for 4 days and three nights in september. I went on a solo trip to relax. This was my first time in Puerto Vallarta, but I have been to Mexico several times. The hotel was very clean, the service from the employees was outstanding. Everyone was extremely nice, extremely helpful and very attentive. The food was good but I have definitely had better, I also don't expect amazing food at an all-inclusive. I wish the breakfast buffet was bigger but it is a smaller Hotel than what I am used to so that may be the reason. I love that they put a pool bag in your closet in case you didn't bring one, like me. Small details like that are appreciated. I hope to go back!

Don't check in early. They won't accommodate you. I waited almost three hours and apparently in that time none of my type of room had been cleaned

3.75 Beautiful views from this Hilton and maybe 10 minutes or so outside of town. This was my first time staying at an all inclusive resort... and I'm not completely sold on them. The stereotype about all inclusives not having the best food rang true for our group of ten. The steak restaurant was the best of the on-site offerings but no one actually got the steak they ordered. The mojito bar was great. Pro tip: the room service breakfast is light years better than the buffet breakfast. I know this is a newly acquired Hilton but I think some renovations are still needed (ie the bathroom by the buffet was pretty gross). We also had some days were towels weren't replaced, or conditioner refilled. Little things. Service/staff: easily the best part of this resort. They are SO friendly and when I was sick the concierge stayed late to bring tea to my room.

My family spent a wonderful weeklong vacation at this resort in late March. Upsides... the food, dinner and entertainment on the beach, swimming in the ocean, room service, customer service, the gym, silent disco with the kids, the beds! Downsides.... The mosquitos were out. I've never been to a resort property where the mosquitos were so bad. The first night my daughter and friends were bit so badly they looked like they had chicken pox! The itching kept them up all night. The next morning the gift shop had a line of customers looking for itch lotion and bug spray. Moral of the story? Take your bug spray!!!! Overall, this place is great. We went into town once (for itch cream!) and couldn't wait to get back to the resort. Can't wait to go again.

Birthday trip to PV, Hilton gold member. Was complimentary upgraded for room due to gold status- paid for partial ocean view then upgraded to ocean view. Room was clean and spacious, beautiful white marble bathroom. There were two outdoor pools, adults only side and kid friendly side. My BF and i stayed on the adults only side and received top notch pool side service. Drinks were delicious. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. shout out to Milchaedes and Daniel who assisted us at the pool! We used the beach access every day and took multiple dips in the ocean. Food was great, no complaints! The front desk was very helpful if we needed any additional items for our room, and they were able to provide a toothbrush which was much appreciated:) Definitely would recommend this all inclusive resort for those who want a great value resort but it's not too high of a nightly rate. For two people, we paid $1940 for 5 nights. They also provided a taxi service, so we were able to take a taxi to town to enjoy the boardwalk for an evening!

I understand the aftermath with regards to the hurricane Lidia. The execution to evacuate the hotel, two days after the hurricane was a complete nightmare. The hurricane hit Tuesday, the hotel is back in operation Thursday. Thursday a rain storm started after 6:00 PM . The electricity went out, then there was no water source. Friday they continued operations with electricity back on however, no water source. At 5 PM the hotel management company decided to close the Hotel giving gas one hour to exit the hotel. They offered no assistance at the front desk or other staff members . They stated we were on our wrong to find other accommodations. It was complete chaos. The management team needs to be replaced. There was no regard for personal care or assistance . Simply evacuate by 6 PM . Totally uncalled for and poorly executed .

We recently stayed at the Hilton Vallarta on the 6th floor for 4 days. Right before coming here, we stayed at Riu Vallart for 7 days. We enjoyed our stay at Hilton very much. Good: The view from the room was spectacular, especially the sunset view. All the rooms above 4th floor have beautiful views. Most of the employees were awesome, they were very pleasant and courteous. I enjoyed the beach as there were rocks placed to block the waves from crashing in. The food was good, particularly the Mexican restaurant was good. Not so good: There was only one bartender at the swim up bar and he was always too busy and not so friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and I will go back to Hilton.

I have to first put out there that the employees were ALL great! From the restaurant staffs, housekeeping and all of the support staff. Kudos to all of them. I did feel the check in desk to be less than helpful, but thankfully I didn't have to deal with them too much. The physical aspects of the hotel could use some help though as well as roach control. We were not infested or anything like that, probably killed 5 or 6 slow moving roaches in the room. Of course that meant shaking all of our clothes when we wore them as well as making sure we didn't take them home. OK we are in Mexico and it's truly a jungle type area, I guess I expect to see a few things here and there, but this is a large resort, these need to be taken care of. Pool tiles coming up off the floors of the pools, no biggy, but if you hit one just right it hurts! Need more light in the hallways for sure. Very dark some areas of the hotel. Also there are not many "cool" areas at all. Not even in the majority of restaurants or the elevators!! This hotel shines with the restaurant and household staff. Every single restaurant worker was very helpful and courteous. Treat them well. Household staff complied with a couple of small requests from us and didn't forget. Excellent. Treat them well. They all work very hard! Across the street there is a convention center where they had a few shows for us at night during our week and they were all really good and the center is very clean and cool. The opposite of the hotel itself which was humid everywhere you went. Again, the staff makes it a memorable stay. Beach is very nice! Our last night they had a Polynesian fire show with the "works" for food as well as fireworks. That was very very well done! I do hope they address the couple of issues I mentioned. The windows in the hallways are "open air" so I understand where the bugs come from. They need to screen those in. Get some AC into those elevators and ALL of the restaurants. I enjoyed my stay here. Staff made it all worth the couple of problems I encountered.

I saw some low scoring reviews on this site and wanted to ensure I wrote my review. I am here and have had the best service and the staff has been excellent. We basically had a private training session every morning on spin , yoga , stretching and aqua fitness. Thank you Sammy, Bibi, Israel, and Wyional for making our workouts great! Jose at pool fantastico!

On the weekends the service is great, but during the week you can tell people do not care as much. You have to ask for things much much more. I was denied entry into a restaurant for lunch because I had a bathing suite on? (at a beach resort) I went to that restaurant and others several more times with similar attire and never had a problem again. The drinks are weak and you need to ask for a double most times. The beach is nice but please be aware there is a lot of beach break (those rocks help a little). Great location. Bed's were good and I have a bad back. Rooms are nice with plenty of space. Amazing staff award goes to Ricardo on the beach and Marco in the kitchen cooking omelets. The food was very good and we enjoyed the variety of restaurants.

Please please do yourself a favor and DO NOT STAY here. Went with the family for a relaxing vacation which turned into a COMPLETE nightmare. My engagement ring was stolen from inside my storage box which was inside my suitcase underneath lots of clothing. Absolutely no assurance for safety -- the resort's response was that anything not kept in the safety box is fair game! Extremely humiliating experience as security goes through ALL your stuff to make sure you are not lying about your stolen item. There are also many other reviews that mention stolen items from the room at this resort. DO not stay here if you want to feel safe in your room or if you are traveling with anything even remotely valuable (laptops, phones, passport, earrings, etc). Really a traumatizing experience and more than anything such a sentimental emotional item was stolen from me.

A very beautiful resort with awesome view of the ocean. The friendly dinning staffs were helpful with all your requests. It was nice to have a separate adult pool and family pool. The food was not as as impressive. Not all restaurants are open everyday. The restaurant took turn closing each night. Hotel is only 10 minutes taxi ride to the pier for $8 USD Cocomar restaurant is great for lunch. Friendly staffs and delicious ceviche. It does turn into a steak house at night but the steaks were tough and not good. Azulinda is a simple sushi place with a great view of the ocean. The sushi was decent. Sunan is an Asian restaurant serving a dish from various Asian countries. This was the best restaurant. Vela is a buffet place that is open for breakfast and closed for dinner on the weekend. We did tried their Italian night for dinner and it was not impressive. We booked 2 rooms and they had difficulty finding our second room upon arrival. Our friends in the 2nd room had challenges with room service. They called multiple times to get a hair dryer and towels.

We have been at this GRAND RESORT for several days now. I want to compliment the staff with the polite and professional service at all time. The restaurants give you a nice variety to choose from, with great staff to service us. The accommodations at top notch and without any hesitation we definitely would recommend this property for all, families, couples or singles.

Just returned from a 5-day/4-night stay at the Hilton Riviera Puerto Vallarta. It's a mixed review. The resort is a 30 min drive south of the airport. Uber/lyft fell around $20 at the time for two. It is up a mountain a bit, so when you come into the lobby on the 4th floor it overlooks the ocean. Since the hotel is cliffside, all rooms have an ocean view and steps from the beach from the 1st floor. The room keys are QR code bracelets tied to you at check in. That's very convenient since you don't need to keep track of a key, card or removable bracelet. Room was clean, modern looking, A/C worked well, its really the only place in the whole hotel with A/C except for one or two restaurants, and the spa. Bed was comfortable, I dont usually sleep well in hotels but I did here surprisingly. I missed a dinner reservation and a couple night time hotel events because of that. All good though, I love sleep. Bathroom is a bit weird, I think they tried to make it look bigger by using more glass walls than opaque ones.  Supposedly this used to be Adults Only, but its now open to kids. Unfortunate for me, good for others I suppose. It is fairly secluded, nowhere to just walk to outside the hotel without transportation. And the resort is kinda small, so it lacked options during the day. So you can get a bit bored (child or adult) unless you plan excursions. We didn't excursion this trip, it was too humid and we just wanted to relax. There were only two pools, one being adults only because of the pool bar. But no signs informing kids/parents. But the pool bar was nice, spent most of my outdoor time there. Bartenders were cool (thanks to Victor & Manuel, I think), they tried to hold interactive pool activities during the day (Edgar was fun!).  The beach was nice, they placed rock barriers from the open ocean making the water at the beach pretty calm and surprisingly warm.  To the food... the worst experience was at Sunan, their "asian" restaurant. We were there with friends, and were all really disappointed. They tried to have a signature dish from each asian region rather than focusing on one country, which is a big mistake.  I had the catch of the day, which thinking back I realized they never told me what the fish is. But it was a white fish, it was bland, rubbery and dry. Tell-tell sign that it wasn't fresh, and also overcooked. The rice was absolutely awful, like it was halfway cooked and crunchy.  Couple friends had ramen, it just tasted like bowls of salt. Another friend had some kind of "asian" flavored ribs, again a hard, chewy, salty mess. We all had like 3 bites and just left. They should get rid of that place, none of that represents asian food.  The best place was Seasalt, their grill/ steakhouse. Wish it was indoors, because they grill it outside and the smoke and heat of the grill fills the restaurant. Its a great smell, but its hot and smoky, on top of an already hot day. We got the New York Steak... knowing they tend to overcook, we ordered it rare and it came to us beautifully medium-rare with a yummy char. Seasoned well too, and a bigger portion size than expected. It was perfect! Room service was hit and miss. Their club sandwich wasnt bad, the mixed salad is just the club sandwich without bread. The pizza seemed microwavable, as did their chicken strips. The burger was alright.  But glad they offered water bottles for room service, which I stocked up on. You can order mimosas too, but it tasted really off. Just order those at the bars/restaurants. Cocomar was good, the ceviche was refreshing though I don't like they shred the fish. Think its to cover that the fish may not be the fresh. The octopus was good though, not shredded, you can recognize every slice. That was tender to eat, pretty delicious. They have a separate sushi deli, they served the same tasty octopus, but they poured a soy based sauce on it, rather than on the side. The salmon and tuna rolls were okay, again they shredded the fish and mixed it up with some light mayo or something. Makes me always think its covering up fish that has been frozen for awhile. The breakfast buffet is decent, fairly standard. I liked the chilaquiles, eggs, hash browns and the fruit and cheese options. The meats were often overcooked in those warmers, avoid those and go to the station where they prepare omelets and bacon fresh. Those are better options. Tips. It's a tip happy place. Grab like a hundred dollars worth of $1 and $5 (or more for longer stays), or pesos because they often will not offer change. Know your money conversions. Although it's all inclusive, there are things that can only be bought, and good chance you'll have better service if you tip. We always tip in countries/places that accept it. This was a last minute reservation, so we paid more than most. Therefore, my review may be somewhat biased having higher expectations due to cost, based on that... this would probably fall more along 2.5-3 stars.

I would give this Hilton location 3.5 stars. The food options are pretty good and there is usually some form of activity or entertainment for guests. However, i have NEVER dealt with such bad mosquitos/bug bites while on vacation. We bought a bottle of mosquito spray in the gift shop, but after seeing multiple mosquitos in our room, we knew it was inevitable. It is unfortunate as I tend to get bit up quick, so I was itching and scratching at myself all week. Had there been less bugs I would've given the location a better rating.

Didn't enjoy my stay at this resort. Prior to my trip, I called the hotel multiple times to set up transportation with the company they go through but no one answered. I had to go through a completely different company (Amstar). It's extremely difficult to speak with someone even while at the hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted outside by the bell men. NO welcome drink as mentioned on their website (image attached). We then waited to check in which took more than an hour. It was a long line, but I feel there should've been a better process in place -- something that'll allow us guests to experience a seamless check in. The lobby area is decent with a lovely view of their pools and the beach. I wish there was AC in that area because it's very hot/humid and while we're waiting we're just hot. It's an outdoor + indoor lobby (50/50). The cleanliness/upkeep of the hotel was a 4/10. In the lobby some of the chairs and couches were dirty with stains. All of the elevators smell of a bad odor. My sister's room had a stain on her couch. Note: all of the stains are old. In my room the sliding door for the bathroom had dirt built up. It was so disturbing that I didn't even want to touch the door. I kept it open just to avoid looking at that. All throughout the hotel there are open areas that appear to be under construction. All of their elevators run slow!! The pools are outdated as well as some of the amenities. Customer service/ room service was 3/10. From day one they weren't responsive. We had to request things 3-4 times before getting assistance. I wanted to order room service after checking into my room and noticed the phone was broke. The concierge said, "I'll put in a ticket and let the front desk know". 30mins, 45mins; 1hr goes by -- nothing. I'm waiting + waiting, calling the hotel, on my phone, trying to reach someone. After 2hrs. 15 mins. I get someone at the front desk. I inform her of the issue and she tells me, "I'll send someone up". No one came. I was there for 5 nights and no one ever came to fix my phone. All requests for room service, housekeeping, etc. was made on my personal device. I called the hotel. Each time they transferred me. Don't bother giving them feedback they don't care. It got to the point that I became annoyed with asking that I stopped. It was a terrible experience. ** Room service took an hour+ everyday -- no matter the time of day ** Food: 4/10. Drinks: (watered down) 3/10. Based on the service, ambiance, cleanliness + aesthetics at other resorts, this one isn't up to par. This hotel is truthfully a 3 star. It isn't worth the price or stay. I wasn't pleased.

This in not a 5 star resort let me start off by saying my room has bed bugs which bit me , it is too hot the a/c is very weak in the room all the restaurants and hallways and bars don't have any a/c at all which is ridiculous! The pools are extremely dangerous and unsanitary I've never seen water so disgustingly dirty not surprised if it has E. coli ! The food is terrible and also very unsanitary cooks literally sweating on your food Flies everywhere in the food since these restaurants are open venues I am currently in my basic outdated room that I over paid for suffering from food poisoning I have been vomiting and using the bathroom all night and day uncontrollably I wouldn't wish this vacation on my worst enemy please don't stay here I'm miserable and sick I just want to go home ...

Fantastic experience the restaurants along with the cuisine has been outstanding. The staff is extremely courteous kind and respectful. Daniel at the pool for service does an amazing job extremely respectful and will accommodate you in any request. He most definitely needs recognition from Hilton!! That my friend is customer service!!!

Absolutely phenomenal! We booked for a week and had absolutely amazing service. Kind staff, everyone was so helpful and made our stay so special. Although everyone was absolutely amazing, I have to shout out 7 specific people who made it super special: Alan, Daniel, Mario, Blanca, Odeth, Alejandra, and Wiyo. They all, in their different roles and capacities, elevated our stay to make it a trip that my wife and I will always remember. Thank you to everyone for all that you did!
