Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas (Vilamoura, Algarve) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In this hotel that is popular with golfers, several buildings are arranged around a central area featuring swimming pools and terraces. Its bedrooms are of an excellent standard and there is a fully equipped spa. The Cilantro restaurant is well worth a mention for its Portuguese and Latin American specialities." - Tablet Hotels

Great hotel, excellent staff. I’d probably rate as 4* rather than 5* but amenities are good, breakfast is nice and everywhere is clean and well maintained. We stayed in a two bed apartment with our two teenage sons and it was great to have a washing machine/fridge freezer and kitchen area to use. It would be useful to have a clothes airer to hang laundry out on the balcony. We didn’t eat in Cilantro but did use the pool restaurant a couple of times during our stay and had breakfast each morning. Food was always decent. Cocktails in Roxi are excellent also. Unfortunately, I believe a necklace of mine was potentially stolen from the room on our last day which is a shame as it had sentimental value to me. I did inform staff at reception but haven’t heard anything from them so presume it’s not been found. My advice would be to put all jewellery etc in the safe as a precaution. The hotel is quite a distance from the marina & beach but they do offer a free shuttle bus service (although space is limited) or it is very easy and cheap to get an Uber (around €4).

I visited the hotel with my family and we all had a brilliant time. There are multiple pools so there is something to suit everyone - we loved the main lagoon pool. Our family suite was spacious, with a living area and two bathrooms, and the breakfast buffet was great, with loads of choice. ||There is a free shuttle to the beach club, which has a beautiful sandy beach, and we also got the shuttle to the marina, although the vehicle was quite small so it’s worth getting in the queue in good time (although it’s only a few euros in an Uber). ||If I had two small suggestions for improvement, I think the games room could use updating, and I’d like to see a hairdryer in the changing room area that we had to use before our flight home (a courtesy room for half an hour would have been much better). ||All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful, particularly the staff in the poolside restaurant (especially Saugat), the beach club and the kids’ club. We also took day trips to Aquashow and Zoomarine, both of which were great and a fairly short drive/cab from the hotel. My son is already asking when we can go back!

Pros: Spacious, grand, clean reception | Communal areas very clean | Resturants very clean and well | Presented.| Food beautiful.| Variety of amenities | Breakfast & meals well organised | Waiters and waitresses polite, | Professional and well presented.| Pools - excellent.| Sun loungers - comfortable.| Rooms - spacious, quality furniture.| Shuttle handy.||Cons: Unfortunately the cleanliness of the rooms was disappointing. Daily cleaning but it is obviously very superficial. Fresh towels but details missed like soap and shampoo not replenished. Shower screens have obviously not been properly cleaned in a while. I observed the maids trolley which had a limited amount of dirty cleaning cloths in it which made me think the same cloths were being used in multiple rooms spreading germs. I also noticed the mop bucket which was full of very dirty (black) water, again probably used in multiple rooms.|Build up of dust on the toilet roll holder & radiator, just indicators which showed the rooms get a quick 'clean'.||Although these things were disappointing for a 5* what concerned me more was the stale smell of the furnishings which seemed to be more apparent in late evening. I think it was maybe the bed or headboard, possibly the rug. Either way it smelled unpleasant and would remind you of wet dog. It was really off putting and made me lose confidence in the hotel. I really dread to think the last time the pillows or duvet were changed. It just smelt dirty. We expected better standards for the inflated price we paid.||Some of the reception staff weren't very friendly. This was in contrast to all waiters and waitresses who always greeted you with a friendly smile.||Overall, very good but I'd rather go somewhere which delivers higher standards of cleanliness. (The cleaning staff were lovely but I'd say they have very little time to clean the rooms hence the quick turnarounds).

Just a quick message to say how wonderful Petra and all her team were. I received nothing but top service from start to finish. Beautiful location, great facilities and food. I was supposed to travel around however spent most of my time in the swimming pool surrounded by a cave and waterfall, can’t go wrong! I will definitely be back when I can!

The Hilton Vilamoura is a really nice hotel. Rooms are spacious, modern, and very comfortable, with a location about a 20-minute walk into Vilamoura itself. The welcome from staff was excellent, and meals in the main restaurant were a highlight.||As we stayed off-season, some facilities like the pool area were undergoing maintenance, which took away from the full resort feel. Also worth noting — there was no Diamond dining option at breakfast or lounge facilities. Great gym

I booked this hotel with high expectations- as the Hilton is one of my favorite hotels and I primarily was excited to use the pool service. Unfortunately, the pool closed every day at 6:30pm. We had ideas that we could come back to the hotel after a day out and relax by the pool- but in order to use the pool we would have had to cut our days extremely short. The towels that they provide for the pool are also extremely worn and felt cheap and very old compared to the towels they provide in the rooms. The bathtub in the room also only distributes extremely hot water that cannot be adjusted. Lastly the hotel was close to the marina- but the drive to the hotel from other areas felt out of the way and a hassle to drive to daily. Otherwise, the service provided by the staff and the hotel rooms themselves were extremely nice and comfortable. I only wish they had smart tvs in the room or had more channels that were in English as we were traveling from the US & could not stream to the TV or watch only 2 channels.

Firstly I would like to start my review by saying I’m extremely particular & fussy when it comes to my holidays but I thought this hotel and its facilities were fantastic! Every inch of the hotel is immaculate! Rooms are comfortable well maintained & clean. The food and drinks are sensational the pool bar was soo good I stayed in 4 nights to eat there as it was better than some of the restaurants in the marina. All the staff are friendly polite and can’t do enough for you. The hotel is extremely busy in peak season but I feel they manage well. There is areas for over 18s if you feel you want some space away from children. I think those that have given this hotel a bad rating is expecting too much and being too picky. I would highly recommend this hotel over and over again!! Don’t read the bad reviews come see for yourself! I will be back!! We were a family of 6 which was 2 young children and 2 OAPs and everyone of party felt the same thank you keep up the fantastic work guys x

From the moment we arrived at The Hilton Vilamoura for the Easter break, we were blown away by the exceptional level of service and hospitality. Every single member of the staff—from the reception to the restaurant, bar, and housekeeping—was warm, professional, and truly went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The hotel itself is stunning, with elegant interiors that reflect the charm of the Algarve. But what truly sets this property apart is the care and attention given to guests. We were greeted with genuine smiles and helpful recommendations at every turn. Whether it was helping with the transport to the Marina, or simply ensuring our comfort, the team anticipated our needs before we even had to ask.

Yelp
A sold Hilton resort with all the whistles and bells. Clean and caters to the resorts goers in the south of Portugal. The beds are not the most comfortable for what you pay, but I'd go back again in a second. Breakfast was great, and so was the room service and housekeeping. A lovely property!

Yelp
Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Algarve. Amazing staff, clean rooms, great breakfast buffet, short ride to the Marina. Hotel pool was lovely and they had a babysitter painting faces and doing activities with kids. The spa was one of the best I've ever been to. I had a facial and massage by Gabriella and I would have booked another treatment the next day if she wasn't off. If I ever visit Vilamoura again, I'll be back!!!

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights in late December. We knew when we booked that we were going in the off season but we did not expect all the pools to be closed. The property needs a little updating as far as the rooms (beds, linens, electronics) but other than that it up being a really quiet and relaxing getaway. The spa is wonderful, (free entry for Hilton gold +) the ayurvedic waters were delightful, we had one of the best massages to date (we love massages). Margarita (the restaurant manager) made our meals at the restaurant memorable, her customer service is better than any received while visiting southern Portugal. The bar had great signature drinks and the local beer, Sagres (a new favorite of ours) on tap. I would definitely like to come back to check the Villamoura when all the amenities are available.

Yelp
I can highly recommend this hotel, it is a clean and friendly hotel. You are greeted warmly and the staff throughout the stay were friendly and professional. The food in the restaurants and room service was good quality.

Yelp
Hilton vacation better property than in theStates (thiugh I've inly stayed in Orlando) the Spa is one of the best spas I have ever seen. The decor and facilities is well thought out. Its a Hilton so it starts off with higher expectations. The people are friendly and we can walk to Marina (3 km)but they do have shuttle service. We do not golf but the hotel has enough amenities to keep my family entertained. We did drive to the beach amcouple of times.

Yelp
We have stayed here twice once in the hotel units and once in the hgvc apartment units (accessible also for hotel guests). The units are classy and modern and the facilities are all you can wish for. it is clean and fresh. The apartment units have DVDplayer, 3 flat screen TVs (in the 2 bedroom unit), stereo, fully equipped kitchen. Bring ground coffee + filters, dishwasher tablets and washing powder, so you don't have to spend expensive money in their shop. Onsite and eating: Onsite are four restaurants and a minimarket. The breakfast buffet is great - lots of variety and freshly made egg dishes. If you are staying in the apartment and want to prepare your own breakfast - you need a car to go to the supermarket near the marina. Pool area: There are 5-6 pools and a large supernice SPA. The hotel has one big problem - that is the pool area. The pool is seldom crowded, but most chairs are occupied by towels (with our without people) the entire day. Already at breakfast when the pools open (at 09) people start to occupying the chairs around the pool with towels and then leaving for hours before they turn back. Any time during the day this is a fact - an annoying fact. Free transport to beach and marina: Hilton has a free transfer minivan to the beach during daytime day and evening hours to the marina. Praia Falesia (Falesia beach), is free for Hilton-guests (get your towel by the hotel). When in the marina area, try to find less expensive restaurants off the actual marina. Neighborhood: Just walking distance away from the hotel area you have the old village of Vilamoura. Beautiful houses with blossoming gardens everywhere! A few nice restaurants and bars as well. Tennis courts and golf courts.

Yelp
The service and the food we received at the Hilton Villamoura Portugal "Cilantro " restaurant was more than outstanding but excellent. The talents of Chef Riodridgo and how he made us feel and his 5 star cuisine left my wife and I speechless. The first night the sea bass an veal we prepare flawlessly. The appetizer of suckling pig was elite the description "suckling." The maître'd Paulo and Adrian service was exceptional. We ordered a white wine and Paulo brought out 5 bottles for us to sample and the assisted us with our selection. After getting to know the staff we forge a band that the following evening the Chef prepare a special appetuzer of clams steeped in a spectacular sauce along with a specially prepare Portugese Seafood entree. Wednesday night Chef Rodrigo prepared an appetizer of Portugese sausages prepared on a hot stone with 2 quail eggs cooked on the hot stone along with a Pork belly entree with a local puréed bean dish, local yams with succulent potatoes. Who knew the Hilton Villamoura would be hiding such a wonderful talented Chef and the best food in Villamoura Portugal. We came during the month of January in the off season and got a very unexpected surprise.
