Yelp
Great location, loved the big rooms, but slightly older furnishings. This is my first time here during the summer and it was still a lot of fun!
Location: Right in the village, you literally walk out the back entrance of the hotel (which contains a number of shops in including an art gallery and escape room) and you're in the village and around the corner from a ski lift.
Parking: Underground, you have to pay, but then again, everything is expensive at Whistler
Service: Excellent, although sometimes misguided. The people at the front desk are very nice, but the concierge wasn't necessarily the most helpful. I needed to exchange money and he pointed out the most expensive option and failed to mention that most stores accept American dollars at a decent exchange rate (better than the exchange place). The restaurant he recommended wasn't very good. He was very nice though and tried his best to help us.
Rooms: They were somewhat clean. Beds were fine. There were some stains on the older furniture. This place is probably overdue for a make-over. The rooms are very big but the beds are very small. My hubby is 6'5" and the double beds were very small for him. They were very firm, which I liked, but others may not. We had the AC running most of the night which drowned out any noise outside.
FYI, there's no mini-fridge, no microwave, just a small coffee maker, free slow wi-fi
Entertainment:
Spa - No, I didn't try it, and I didn't see anybody at the time there.
Pool - good sized , but very cold even though it was July
Jacuzzi - closed for the day because the filter wasn't working after the morning pool guy checked it
Basketball/Tennis court - I don't know about tennis equipment, but they do have a basketball for you to borrow. If there's an outdoor event going on like a catered party, they may not let you play because you share the same area.
Recommendation: Yes, I'd definitely consider coming again, but I might also check out some other places with more updated furniture.
