This is a great place to visit with kids, as they can see and experience a few popular bird species up close. Though the space is small, it is well-maintained, and the staff is attentive and dedicated. The entry fee is ₹25 for adults and ₹10 for kids. Parking is quite limited, so it's best to arrive early, around 10 AM, to avoid any inconvenience. Sharing some of my clicks!

Nothing interesting to watch. I travelled 2.5km by walk from mall road to watch this park. It's fare is Rs.25 per person. Nothing new 😔

Though being a small place, it has around 8 varieties of birds in open, that is, they just roam around you free.. Tickets are also priced cheaply and easy to get in. Js 10-15 min wl b good enough for the kids to enjoy.

A place to visit for those who're in birds and animals. Though there isn't much variety of birds here. There are few local specimens of birds. It would hardly take one about 10 minutes to tour this tiny place. The only plus point is you get to see birds in open. It would have been great if their management could get more non-local specimens of birds and keep it clean and maintained. Should you go there? Well, if you're having kids, then it's fun. Or if you're visiting the museum (Indian Institute of Advanced Studies) right opposite this park. It's not worth visiting it, especially if you're far away from this place

Himalayan Bird Park is located in the heart of Shimla city at Museum Road, very near to the Indian Institute of Advanced Study (Advanced university), Chaura Maidan, Himachal Pradesh 171004. It is located at a distance of 2km only from Mall Road Shimla and at about 2200m above mean sea level. This park is being run by Himachal Pradesh Forest Department, Wildlife wing, under the jurisdiction of DFO, Wildlife, Shimla. The following birds are seen at present - Indian Peafowl, Pheasant, Guinea Fowl, Domestic Goose, Red Jungle Fowl, Domestic Fowl, etc. There are night shed, water pond, nesting sites, and bird houses. At the entrance there is disinfectant foot bath which everyone should use before entering the park. Enjoyed the Bird Park.
