Serene and calming monastery near Mall Road, Manali. It is related to Nyingma school (also called the Red Sect), the oldest of four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism. You can go upstairs also but be quiet as wooden flooring makes sound while walking. Spin the prayer wheels clockwise while mumbling “Om Mani Padme Hum” If you want to use mobile or camera, please pay 20 INR while entering or exiting. There is lot of shops of Tibetan people selling clothes and things. Date of Visit - 23rd March, 2025

Himalayan Nyinmapa Buddhist Monastery is located very close to the mall road of Manali and walking distance from Van Vihar. This is one of the most popular tourist places in Manali which will definitely attract you for its amazing artwork all across the place. This Monastery is a perfect place to escape from the hustle bustle atmosphere of Manali Mall and spend some time in the world of spirituality and tranquility. The architecture of this Monastery is traditional Tibetan style and inside it, there is a huge statue of Buddha... A separate room is there for prayers and meditation inside it. The garden is very well maintained and clean, decorated with colourful flags and flowers, there are benches to sit across the garden who want to spend some time at this wonderful and quiet place.

Truly surreal and peaceful as any monastery. Sad that the Government/Authorities do not take care... What's worse people visiting the monastery have no respect for a place of worship 😲 Standing with their back right infront of the diety and posing is extremely deplorable... May Sense Prevail🙏
