A spacious and welcoming spot serving delicious German food. The beer was decent, though not as impressive as at some other places. Prices were slightly on the higher side but justified by the quality. They don’t offer an English menu, and the staff and locals speak limited English, which can feel a bit unwelcoming if you don’t speak German. Overall, it was a great experience, one of the best meals I had in Düsseldorf, and I’d still definitely recommend it.

Very friendly service. The portions are generous, and the taste? Absolutely delicious. We couldn’t finish everything, but there was an option to take the food to go. Highly recommended.

I have arrived at 1910 without a reservation, I was by myself and I asked if I could eat,I was told no we are full and we cannot seat you. Half of the restaurant was empty. I said it would be quick but was denied and told if you want you can seat outside. It was 4c° outside! Anyhow I had no options so I accepted the seat outdoor. While I was waiting i witnessed at least 2 couples arriving with no reservations and being offered a table inside! The "pretended to be " chief of the waiters was the rudest person ever! I left only 40 minutes later with at least 30 available empty seats inside. The reality is they wont seat you if you are alone and they lie by saying they are full! And least but not last, I went for payment and swiped the card 3 times and was denied and was told you should find a way to pay! I was sure the issue wasn't my card so told them to use another machine and worked right away. Never again.

Food was great! Service was good, felt like she was a little bit stressed out and hopefully she gets more help in future. Portions were HUGE! Be ready to eat big time 😅

Great restaurant to be after a long day on an exhibition. Fast service an a good portion of food!

Cozy atmosphere and very fast, genuinely friendly service. Drinks arrived almost immediately, and we didn’t have to wait long for our food either. Everything was incredibly tasty, with generous and high-quality portions. We were a group of seven and had no trouble sitting together at one table, which isn’t always a given in a traditional brewpub. In my opinion, there’s absolutely nothing to complain about — everything was excellent. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Düsseldorf.

We had some good local food and beer, lots of people giving it a vibrant atmosphere, the service is good, but could be a bit more friendly or spontaneous. Correct prices and long opening hours. Will be back

Fast service and a great atmosphere. We wanted some German food so a waiter at a different restaurant recommended Hummel to us. Loved the food!

Fantastic local cuisine, the schnitzel was forktender, the potatoes were perfectly prepared, and the salad was deliciously refreshing. Service was prompt, did not speak English, but was very patient with me, since I speak zero German. Beers are rapidly replaced and the food came out very quick as well. Sat on the sidewalk, enjoyed the pleasant weather and everything going on in a very busy urban area. Fair price for the high quality food and service that you receive.

After a second day of touristing in Düsseldorf, my host brought me here for a late lunch. I was able to parks a few things from the specials board like schweine (pork!) and rumpsteak (beef) and champignons (mushrooms) but I was still unsure what to have. This is pretty classic Düsseldorfer food I let my host order my meal (and a beer!). If they have English menus, I don't know for sure as Klaus-Dieter did the ordering. Beer arrived quickly, the meal took about 20 minutes which is perfectly fine when you've got beer to keep you busy. Two thick slices of pork roast topped with sautéed onions with a dark gravy and with a (huge!) dumpling on the side. And with a very German specialty, krautsalat (cold cabbage salad). All of it was amazingly delicious. Nice comfortable restaurant with a big screen showing the football game, Düsseldorf v Dresden which ended 1-0 with a Düsseldorf loss. The waiter checked COVID stuff. He was helpful, friendly and visited our table an appropriate amount of time. The other gent bringing beer around had plenty of them and Füchschen Alt is great. The food was great. The waiter, however, was downright condescending. The menu stated "CurryBlockWurst" so I asked him if it was Currywurst. He asked me what I thought and then asked me again at the end of the meal. I have been trying to learn German for several years and I know I used the right words. He made me feel very small.

I am so glad I found this place. I was visiting my wife's family in the area and was staying for a week at local hotel. We went to the Himmel several times during our stay, each time the food and beer were outstanding. The wait staff were very friendly and went out of the way to make us comfortable.

I am a frequent visitor here. In my opinion, one of the best "Brauhaus" in Düsseldorf. The food is great, really good and the guest are a good mix of ppl. From Lawyer-type ppl. to blue-color workers, from young to older, it's all there. It's a perfect place for a company dinner or a family one. It's a recommendation, certainly.

Last night's dinner was at Himmel & Ahd. The food was excellent. I had sauerbraten with spaetzle which was very good. My husband had a schnitzel dish with a brown gravy and mushrooms which was quite good also. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful. We sat next to two very nice people and had a wonderful conversation during dinner. This was a very nice lively restaurant with very tasty food, great service and friendly clientele.

One of the best breweries in Düsseldorf for it serves the fantastic Füchschen Alt-beer. You always have a glass with fresh and cold beer on your table, the waiters are very fast. One glass costs 1,70EUR (0,25l).This restaurant serves traditional German dishes, you really have to taste the meat plates with sausages and Schweinehaxe... It goes very well with the beer. Last night I had goose with potato dumpling, red gabbage and baked apple. It was heaven!
