We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Himmlhof, and it is without question one of the best ski hotels we have experienced. We’ve stayed in many fabulous ski resorts internationally, and Hotel Himmlhof is right up there with the very best. From the moment you arrive, you walk into a truly beautiful experience best described as Austrian chic. It has all the charm of a traditional Tyrolean chalet, thoughtfully re-imagined with a contemporary, elegant feel. The furniture, colours and textures are beautifully curated, creating an atmosphere that is both relaxed and welcoming. The Penz family — Margherita, Sebastian and Chris — were outstanding hosts and made sure every aspect of our stay was exceptional. Their warmth, care and attention to detail genuinely elevate the experience. Breakfast each morning was amazing, with a generous and high-quality selection, and we loved returning in the afternoon for the post-ski snack. Our room had the same charm and quality as the rest of the hotel: stylish, comfortable and beautifully presented. After skiing, it was wonderful to relax in the spa, which includes a small pool, two saunas, a steam room, an ice bath and relaxation beds — perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes. While the hotel does not have its own restaurant (and we’ve often stayed at half-board hotels in the past), we actually preferred the flexibility of dining out. The restaurant recommendations provided by the hotel were excellent and allowed us to enjoy a variety of great local options. The location is also ideal: tucked away on a quiet street just behind the main pedestrian area of Dorfstraße, and only a short five-minute walk to the main lift, the Galzigbahn. As for value for money, when compared to other places we have stayed, it represents very good value considering the overall experience. We cannot recommend Hotel Himmlhof highly enough to anyone visiting St Anton. The experience was truly wonderful, and we would return without hesitation.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Himmlhof in St. Anton and cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. Sebastian was so wonderful when greeting us on arrival and immediately made us feel welcome.||The breakfast each morning was incredible, with a fantastic selection and consistently high quality. The service throughout our stay was exceptional, with Marsha, Christopher, and Julia all standing out as incredible members of the team — attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring.||Our room was perfect and had everything we needed, combining comfort with thoughtful details. The spa facilities were outstanding; the pool, spa area, and hot/cold plunge were exceptional and the perfect way to relax after a day in St. Anton.||An unforgettable stay thanks to a truly outstanding team. We will absolutely be returning.

Hotel Himmlhof is the epitome of boutique hotels! This family-run accommodation feels like home from the moment you walk in. The service is personable, the rooms are luxurious, and the amenities are impeccable. We loved every moment inside the hotel, especially the breakfast buffet and the spa area with indoor pool, saunas, a steam room, and a cold plunge. Very conveniently located right near the pedestrian zone and ski slopes. If you're traveling to St. Anton, there's no question you should consider Hotel Himmlhof for your trip!

The staff here are the most amazing you will ever see! It truly feels like a family run buisiness since you basically become part of their family when you go there. They know your name and are always super friendly and hospitable! Every need is taken care of also, and they even book cabs for you! The spa is also amazing they have 2 saunas, steam room, pool, ice bath so you can really do everything!

We love the HimmIhof! If I had more than 5 stars to give the Himmlhof, I definitely would! Our family stayed for a week over the Christmas holiday and it is our second visit to the hotel. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else. This amazing hotel is run by the friendliest family. You can expect to sleep in clean and comfortable accommodations, and enjoy delicious, homemade breakfasts. The apres ski snacks are a highlight. We loved that it is located one black off the main street because the town can get noisy at night, but the location of the Himmlhof keeps your stay quiet. We found the personalized service outstanding, including help with lift tickets, rental gear, restaurant reservations and car services. A stay at Himmlhof should be on everyone's bucket list.

This is an wonderful ski chalet. From the cozy rooms to the relaxing pool/sauna area there isn’t much more you could ask for. The staff are some of the kindest people you will ever meet and it’s such a joy being recognised having stayed more than once. Breakfast and tea are always delightful. I could not recommend this place enough.

We had the most amazing time at Himmlhof - the best boutique hotel in St. Anton hands down! The atmosphere was well curated, making us feel like we were in a family residence! Rooms were beautifully maintained, cozy, and comfortable. The service was impeccable and the amenities offered made our stay even more valuable. We were thoroughly impressed by the Himmlhof team and would return without hesitation.

Our fourth visit in five seasons was probably our best yet; the Penz family and their people continue to maintain the highest standards and homeliest environment. Cosy yet spacious rooms, plentiful breakfasts and afternoon teas, evening cocktails, a spa and pool perfect for post-ski recovery. Again, soon!

Went there for a long snowboarding weekend 3 weeks ago. This boutique hotel is full with characters and sweetness. Our room was big and comfortable, with a real fire place (everyday they will give you new woods to burn !) The services are one of the best we've had so far, the owner is a really nice lady who is also a local famous skier - she came a chat with us every morning. Other staffs are also friendly and helpful, all our requests and questions were solved. Everything was nice here, really had nothing to complain... I guess the only thing is - the garage is really small and hard to get in, so just be careful if you have to park inside ( outside parking lot was full when we arrived) Highlight : Super great service Fast internet Great breakfast with lots of choices Delicious afternoon cake Clean, big, lovely room Bathroom is big enough for 2 people to use at the same time

My partner and I recently spent 3 days in Tyrol hiking through the Tyrolean Alps and found this gem of a hotel through LonelyPlanet. Honestly, we could not have been more enchanted with the hospitality we received. The rooms are gorgeous -- a perfect mix of traditional Tyrolean charm and modern elegance. The beautiful woodwork, immaculate duvets and awesome pillows are very inviting. We haven't slept so well in ages! Then there is the whole dining experience. The breakfast is a fabulous assortment of Austrian delectables (including the best mueslix you will ever have!). My partner mentioned in passing that she is gluten free and our hosts went out of their way to serve her a divine loaf of freshly baked GF bread. They also recommended some excellent places for lunch and dinner as well as hiking routes. But perhaps best of all are the hosts themselves -- Margarita and Sebastian. They are a delightful couple from St. Anton who will go out of their way to make you feel totally at home and completely cared for. Their hospitality is no accident -- you should hear their story!
