This was by far one of the most remarkable hospitality experiences we have ever had. The interior design is luxurious, elegant and comfortable: the definition of quiet luxury. The spa you could spend all day in it’s so beautiful and well equipped (Cold plunge, two saunas, steam room room, pool and more !). Breakfast is glorious and one of the best in Europe with focus on local ingredients and recipes. The afternoon tea & cake hour is a fantastic way to wind down after a day on the slopes. The service is extraordinary : by far this is what’s most special about staying here — they go well above and beyond…with everything ! The rooms are spacious and have large windows and also large wardrobes for storing all your stuff. I really can only say: you need to experience this place to understand how good a hospitality experience can truly be. And the location/ proximity to chairlifts, gondolas, restaurants etc is perfect- could not be more convenient / easy. We will be back!

Our family of 5 spent a week at the lovely Himmlhoff in March while we in St Anton for a ski vacation. This was our first trip to St Anton and we will be back and return to the Himmlhoff (the hotel was recommended to us by some friends who had stayed there years ago and we'll recommend it to our friends)! This small hotel is run by a family that is the epitome of friendly, gracious and helpful. They assisted me with a lot of plans - ski rentals, ski tickets, ski guide and restaurants, which made organizing very easy. The delicious breakfasts of yummy bread, pastries, coffee, cheeses, yogurt, eggs, etc. and afternoon tea of delightful cake and other goodies gave us a great start to the day and an enjoyable way to reenergize after a day on the slopes. The Himmlhoff even surprised me with the most delicious chocolate cake on my birthday. The rooms had comfy beds, were very clean and all in all just lovely. While I didn't partake, all the other members of my family tried the cold plunge and raved about it. The Himmlhoff is just minutes away from the slopes via a pedestrian walk.

There is simply nothing to fault at this beautiful family-run hotel. The Penz family are true locals, with incredible genuine warmth and friendship given to all guests. The rooms are very well appointed and excellent size, with comfortable beds, and seperate bathroom and toilets. Breakfast and afternoon tea was included (which was absolutely massive and delicious - a shout out to Kiwi baking chef Milly!) was another highlight. If you are going to Sant Anton make the Himmlhof your home away from home and you won’t regret it. Thank you Family Penz for a fantastic stay, see you next year!

I had a wonderful vacation at the Himmlhof Hotel with my two adult children. The Penz family and the entire team were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The hotel itself is marvelous, with stunning design throughout—the public areas, rooms, and the magnificent spa are absolutely amazing. The breakfast is simply the best I’ve ever had! This was my second stay, the first being in 2022, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for another fantastic experience!

A wonderful Austrian experience awaits in this cozy, beautifully decorated luxury hotel. Family-run for multiple generations, the staff is kind, friendly, and highly accommodating. Enjoy a great daily buffet and afternoon snack, an excellent selection of Austrian wines, and a full-service bar. The hotel is located within a short distance of the St. Anton après-ski scene, offering a quick walk to the action while being situated on a quiet street just far enough away. It is also an easy walk to the ski lifts, with ski and boot storage at the ski area included. The hotel boasts a great spa with a pool, saunas, steam room, and a polar plunge pool, perfect for working out the post-ski kinks before heading out for dinner. Highly recommended.

The hotel is truly beautiful! Not only is it cozy and comforting, but the Penz family makes Himmelhof feel like home! The interior has been designed with great love for detail. The snack time in the Stube has been a regular daily highlight! The hotel is perfectly located in the center of St.Anton, making it very accessible to all different mountains, restaurants and shopping options. It was our 5th time coming to Himmelhof, and we can’t wait to come back next year! |Thank you so much!|Helena & Christiana

Hotel Himmlhof is a magical, bespoke, boutique hotel nestled beautifully in a quiet street, close to all that St Anton has to offer.||From the moment you arrive the family Penz give the warmest welcome, they open their arms and their hotel to you. It is clear that for the family, and their amazing team, no effort is too great.||Each room is packed with traditional Austrian charm. Wooden floorboards, historic panelling, an open fire in the lounge and comfortable sofas all make this a perfect choice to relax after a busy day on the slopes.||This is a hidden gem that we can’t recommend highly enough. We have stayed here twice already and can't wait to return again next year.

Hosted by the Penz family, you’ll receive the warmest of welcomes on arrival at Hotel Himmlhof and their attentive, yet relaxed service, throughout your stay. Nothing is too much trouble and they delight in making your visit one to remember.||Conveniently situated in the heart of St Anton village, the hotel is close to restaurants, bars, ski hire and many other local amenities including the railway station. It is also only a 5 minute walk away from the main Gampenbahn cable car which is the most immediate way to get up into the main ski area. Don’t let me forget to mention the hotel included ski and boot storage less than 50m from the cable car, saving you carrying boots and ski’s, therefore leaving you to wander back to the hotel via your favourite après ski bar.||The hotel ambience is true Austrian hospitality at its very best. Comfortable and beautifully well appointed rooms, delicious breakfasts and after your day on the slopes a very welcome afternoon tea. And if that is not enough then why not take advantage of the spa facilities before going into the village for dinner. On that note there is plenty of choice of local restaurants and the reception will be able to advise on where to go, even booking your table (recommended).||In summary Hotel Himmlhof is a charming hotel, an absolute gem in the heart of St Anton where you will feel perfectly at home.

Yelp
Went there for a long snowboarding weekend 3 weeks ago. This boutique hotel is full with characters and sweetness. Our room was big and comfortable, with a real fire place (everyday they will give you new woods to burn !) The services are one of the best we've had so far, the owner is a really nice lady who is also a local famous skier - she came a chat with us every morning. Other staffs are also friendly and helpful, all our requests and questions were solved. Everything was nice here, really had nothing to complain... I guess the only thing is - the garage is really small and hard to get in, so just be careful if you have to park inside ( outside parking lot was full when we arrived) Highlight : Super great service Fast internet Great breakfast with lots of choices Delicious afternoon cake Clean, big, lovely room Bathroom is big enough for 2 people to use at the same time

Yelp
My partner and I recently spent 3 days in Tyrol hiking through the Tyrolean Alps and found this gem of a hotel through LonelyPlanet. Honestly, we could not have been more enchanted with the hospitality we received. The rooms are gorgeous -- a perfect mix of traditional Tyrolean charm and modern elegance. The beautiful woodwork, immaculate duvets and awesome pillows are very inviting. We haven't slept so well in ages! Then there is the whole dining experience. The breakfast is a fabulous assortment of Austrian delectables (including the best mueslix you will ever have!). My partner mentioned in passing that she is gluten free and our hosts went out of their way to serve her a divine loaf of freshly baked GF bread. They also recommended some excellent places for lunch and dinner as well as hiking routes. But perhaps best of all are the hosts themselves -- Margarita and Sebastian. They are a delightful couple from St. Anton who will go out of their way to make you feel totally at home and completely cared for. Their hospitality is no accident -- you should hear their story! Satish (and Marina) from California.
