Wow. Guest service and experience, along with pride in work is taken to another level at this place. When we first arrived, the front desk was super helpful and knowledgeable of the hotel and surrounding area. Hikes, cable cars, places to eat dinner, etc. The location is perfect, property is beautiful - it’s exactly what you’d want out of an Austrian ski chalet. The pool / spa area is something out of Disneyland. It’s underground, and once you walk in the pool area, there’s a separate cave with 2 saunas, a steam room, and a cold plunge. These amenities are a skier’s dream. The rooms are well put together and very cozy, nice bathrooms, all very clean. In the morning, they serve a full service breakfast with everything you could imagine. Homemade jam, French toast, etc. The biggest standout of the visit: anytime we were sitting in the lobby, the staff offer drinks, snacks, tea, coffee, etc. Additionally, the staff have conversations, and smile at you - make it feel like family. It adds that extra touch that they want you to be there, and appreciate your business.

The Himmlhof is unique. Not only is it wonderfully designed and furnished in excellent, tasteful style. Quality and subtle. Homely but professional. Everything was presented with care and very clean. From the gorgeous traditional building, the wonderful swimming pool, spa, plunge pool, and sauna area. The outside quiet area, with beautiful pots full of interesting plants, and plenty of benches tables and cushioned seating, leading into spacious and atmospheric dining rooms and comfy and relaxing areas inside. Even inclusive parking! The family, whose generations have resided at The Himmlhof, give you the uniquely full experience of total care and respect for their guests. The food and drink, served, was beautiful. Second to none. The courtesy and hospitality shown was so appreciated. If you want to be included in this superb experience, don’t take my word, just go and visit The Himmlhof for yourself. Thank you to you all for our stay. x

This was by far one of the most remarkable hospitality experiences we have ever had. The interior design is luxurious, elegant and comfortable: the definition of quiet luxury. The spa you could spend all day in it’s so beautiful and well equipped (Cold plunge, two saunas, steam room room, pool and more !). Breakfast is glorious and one of the best in Europe with focus on local ingredients and recipes. The afternoon tea & cake hour is a fantastic way to wind down after a day on the slopes. The service is extraordinary : by far this is what’s most special about staying here — they go well above and beyond…with everything ! The rooms are spacious and have large windows and also large wardrobes for storing all your stuff. I really can only say: you need to experience this place to understand how good a hospitality experience can truly be. And the location/ proximity to chairlifts, gondolas, restaurants etc is perfect- could not be more convenient / easy. We will be back!

Our family of 5 spent a week at the lovely Himmlhoff in March while we in St Anton for a ski vacation. This was our first trip to St Anton and we will be back and return to the Himmlhoff (the hotel was recommended to us by some friends who had stayed there years ago and we'll recommend it to our friends)! This small hotel is run by a family that is the epitome of friendly, gracious and helpful. They assisted me with a lot of plans - ski rentals, ski tickets, ski guide and restaurants, which made organizing very easy. The delicious breakfasts of yummy bread, pastries, coffee, cheeses, yogurt, eggs, etc. and afternoon tea of delightful cake and other goodies gave us a great start to the day and an enjoyable way to reenergize after a day on the slopes. The Himmlhoff even surprised me with the most delicious chocolate cake on my birthday. The rooms had comfy beds, were very clean and all in all just lovely. While I didn't partake, all the other members of my family tried the cold plunge and raved about it. The Himmlhoff is just minutes away from the slopes via a pedestrian walk.

There is simply nothing to fault at this beautiful family-run hotel. The Penz family are true locals, with incredible genuine warmth and friendship given to all guests. The rooms are very well appointed and excellent size, with comfortable beds, and seperate bathroom and toilets. Breakfast and afternoon tea was included (which was absolutely massive and delicious - a shout out to Kiwi baking chef Milly!) was another highlight. If you are going to Sant Anton make the Himmlhof your home away from home and you won’t regret it. Thank you Family Penz for a fantastic stay, see you next year!

I had a wonderful vacation at the Himmlhof Hotel with my two adult children. The Penz family and the entire team were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The hotel itself is marvelous, with stunning design throughout—the public areas, rooms, and the magnificent spa are absolutely amazing. The breakfast is simply the best I’ve ever had! This was my second stay, the first being in 2022, and we will definitely be returning. Thank you for another fantastic experience!

The hotel is truly beautiful! Not only is it cozy and comforting, but the Penz family makes Himmelhof feel like home! The interior has been designed with great love for detail. The snack time in the Stube has been a regular daily highlight! The hotel is perfectly located in the center of St.Anton, making it very accessible to all different mountains, restaurants and shopping options. It was our 5th time coming to Himmelhof, and we can’t wait to come back next year! |Thank you so much!|Helena & Christiana

Yelp
Went there for a long snowboarding weekend 3 weeks ago. This boutique hotel is full with characters and sweetness. Our room was big and comfortable, with a real fire place (everyday they will give you new woods to burn !) The services are one of the best we've had so far, the owner is a really nice lady who is also a local famous skier - she came a chat with us every morning. Other staffs are also friendly and helpful, all our requests and questions were solved. Everything was nice here, really had nothing to complain... I guess the only thing is - the garage is really small and hard to get in, so just be careful if you have to park inside ( outside parking lot was full when we arrived) Highlight : Super great service Fast internet Great breakfast with lots of choices Delicious afternoon cake Clean, big, lovely room Bathroom is big enough for 2 people to use at the same time

Yelp
My partner and I recently spent 3 days in Tyrol hiking through the Tyrolean Alps and found this gem of a hotel through LonelyPlanet. Honestly, we could not have been more enchanted with the hospitality we received. The rooms are gorgeous -- a perfect mix of traditional Tyrolean charm and modern elegance. The beautiful woodwork, immaculate duvets and awesome pillows are very inviting. We haven't slept so well in ages! Then there is the whole dining experience. The breakfast is a fabulous assortment of Austrian delectables (including the best mueslix you will ever have!). My partner mentioned in passing that she is gluten free and our hosts went out of their way to serve her a divine loaf of freshly baked GF bread. They also recommended some excellent places for lunch and dinner as well as hiking routes. But perhaps best of all are the hosts themselves -- Margarita and Sebastian. They are a delightful couple from St. Anton who will go out of their way to make you feel totally at home and completely cared for. Their hospitality is no accident -- you should hear their story! Satish (and Marina) from California.
