I recently got married at the Hindu Sabha Temple and it was a disaster. The manager of the temple charged us a lot of money and promised beautiful decorations and delicious food, but that was far from what we got. Firstly the hall was dirty, the bathrooms were filthy, they laid a dirty sheet under the altar for the ceremony, the room that they placed me in to wait for my ceremony was filthy, including the bathroom in it....there was no paper towel, no handsoap, the floor was wet and muddy and there was a dirty diaper in the bathroom.....no bin. My father provided them with soft drinks and water for them to serve to the guests at my wedding and when it was time for us to get drinks, we had to beg them to give us a bottle of water from what we provided for OUR ceremony. They complained to us about us putting our shoes under a table in the cafeteria, but other people in the temple were putting their dirty shoes under the tables and not one of them were insulted. They had the nerve to say that us Trinidadian and Guyanese people are filthy, but they ripped us off and had the Temple filthy before we got there. They wouldn't have cleaned the private bathroom if my aunt did not tell them about it, and even then, the guy only wiped the floor with a rag and picked up the dirty diaper. Those people have no respect for anyone unless they are East Indian. They insulted us for being dirty, but they left the mandir dirty for my wedding. They did not deliver what they promised in the agreement for my wedding. They are the lowest of low that people can get. I would not recommend that anyone do any business at that temple.
