I stayed at Hinode during my ski trip to Niseko, and it was the perfect choice for a hassle-free experience. As someone who’s visited Niseko annually since 2017 (usually staying at the Hilton), this was my first time at Hinode—and now I can’t wait to return!
I highly recommend Hinode for anyone visiting Niseko. Its prime location, comfortable rooms, and outstanding staff (special thanks to Olivia, Genesis, Salina, Zach, Zac, and Katarina!) made it a standout stay. Despite the small onsen, I’ll definitely be back—Hinode has set a new standard for my Niseko trips!
The Good:
Location: Unbeatable—right next to the magic carpet and slopes, making ski access effortless.
Ski Facilities: Ski valet, equipment rentals, and lessons available on-site for purchase, streamlining everything.
Room: Spacious, comfortable, and with stunning views.
Staff: The staff at Hinode truly made our stay exceptional—definitely the highlight of our trip. Olivia and Genesis went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality were outstanding, and they were incredibly helpful in resolving issues, like when someone accidentally took our skis or when a billing error occurred (hopefully get my refund soon). I’d also like to thank other team members, including Salina, Zach, Zac, and Katarina, who provided excellent service throughout our stay. Whether it was arranging shuttle services, helping with ski logistics (when others took my skis by mistake, or simply greeting us with a smile every day, they made us feel welcome and well taken care of.
The Not-So-Good:
The onsen is quite small.
Highlights:
Steps from the magic carpet and slopes—perfect for skiers.
