I cannot say enough good things about this ski resort—it’s an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and ensured every detail of our stay was seamless. The slopes are impeccably maintained, offering a perfect balance for all skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner taking lessons or an experienced skier craving a challenge, there’s something for everyone. The views from the top of the mountain are breathtaking—worth every second of the ride up! Après-ski is just as incredible. The cozy lodge, complete with roaring fireplaces and amazing food, is the perfect place to unwind after a day on the slopes. The hot cocoa bar and mulled wine were delightful touches. If you’re looking for a top-tier winter getaway, this is it. I’m already planning my return trip! Plus the room is newly decorated. Also I love the view and the usable furniture around the room the room is also very big for a double bed.

The hotel is super comfortable and I have no bad thing to say about it. Many staff welcome us as soon as we arrived and warmly greet us every time we return to the hotel. It’s a small Luxury hotel with all the things you need, microwave, fancy refrigerator, washing machine, dish-washer. You name it, they have it. It’s literally like a condominium. They gave us a connecting room and it was super comfortable and big. The location was super great because for people who went there to ski, you can ski to other nearby hotels in the village really easily. There are also buses that always come on-time and take you around the village to drop you off in front of other hotels, there are also buses that takes you into the cities which is really convenient Staff can speak English quite well and are always really helpful and nice. I’m hoping to return next year.

Spacious, well designed and modern suites for family traveling. Spotless clean. Full kitchen, washer and dryer, and a separate bathtub. Ski rental, breakfast and onsen are just a few steps away from each other on first floor. Perfect location for ski beginners with lessons right outside the hotel. Our only complain is the quality of the breakfast is subpar comparing to all other hotels we’ve had breakfast in Japan, but getting groceries to cook in our kitchen makes up for it.

I'm writing this glowing review specifically for one staff member at the hinode hills resort. The resort itself is incredible, snow and ski was fantastic. But this review is for Genesis, the amazing customer service concierge of the resort. He was absolutely amazing, so friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating. Anything you needed he was able to arrange, if he couldn't get us the option we wanted, he would be prepared and come back with alternatives, very solution focused. He made great recommendations for places to eat, arranged travel for us, made everything super easy. I highly appreciate the high level of service he provided, he made our stay so much more comfortable, easy and enjoyable. We felt like VIPs. By far one of the best customer service I've ever received on any of our world travels. Thank you Genesis for your amazing service, there is absolutely nothing I could fault and I hope you get the acknowledgement you deserve! This man deserves a raise!

What I like: - ski in ski out: skiing out is easy via a magic carpet to the Niseko gondola. Can ski down right to hotel - Friendly staffs and helpful hotel concierge with restaurant bookings - Relatively bigger guest room and space - A Washer/dryer unit in room - Scenic view from guest room What I have issues with: Market as a luxurious hotel in Niseko, but guests’ comfort are secondary to hotel’s rules. - Upon check in, have to sign a two page hotel rules and regulations. No luxury hotel would make guests feel so disciplined and wary instead of welcome and relax at check in. - No snowboard / ski allowed in rooms. Guests had to unpack snowboard / ski bags in the narrow hallway which is horrible after a long flight and 2.5 hr car ride. And bindings need to be installed in the tight, crowded ski concierge area. Packing is another issue with early flight and limited opening hours of ski concierge. Even expensively built Muwa and Aya would allow equipment setup and packing in guest rooms. Hinode is super rigid, inconvenient and inefficient. - Driving is essential: 10 min drive from the closest convenience store and restaurants. Outdoor, uncovered parking so daily vehicle snow clearing is required. I hope this input can bring awareness and operation changes making guests feel more welcome and comfortable. After all, there is a credit card on file for security deposit and incidental damages.

As a Hilton Diamond member I am very disappointed by the level of customer service provided by a hotel that brands themselves as “Small Luxury Hotel”. The reception staff are mostly young and inexperienced, certainly not trained up to an acceptable level of Japanese and luxury hospitality. We booked with Hilton Honors points and, despite the Hilton Honors redemptions terms clearly stating that all taxes are included, they still charged some fees and taxes, which I am not disputing are not legitimate, but this was not shown when making the reservation. They refused to refund and said it’s Hilton’s/SLH fault. Reception staff also mentioned that in fact Hinode Hills isn’t part of the SLH chain which is baffling as they had a big plate showing the SLH logo in the lobby. Breakfast was very limited and quality wasn’t up the standards of a luxury hotel. The only good point is the cleanliness of the room, which was spotless. Next time I will be back, I will definitely choose a more reputable hotel such as the Hilton or the Ritz.

We did the cheese making experience with Vito Dicecca and WOW was it amazing! You learn so much about the cheese making, and the food & wine pairing was extraordinary! My husband and I went on our honeymoon and he made it so special for us. I would definitely not skip out on this experience!

Everything was good but 1. Breakfast- so so Who serves packed juice and deep fried chicken in a good hotel . 2. Rooms are not cleaned daily ( first time I experience this ) 3. Some western stuff that works during breakfast hours was rude
