What an awesome experience! Shopping at Hinoya was high on my to-do list when traveling to Japan. The attentiveness and customer service of the staff was top notch. I ended up buying a pair of Japanese denim that they hemmed within 60-90 minutes. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. This place is excellent.

Must visit if you are denim shopping in Tokyo. Super helpful team. Had a wonderful denim shopping experience here... with the sound of the trains rolling by, above you. Make sure you visit Hinoya's sister stores, which are all just a few shops away.

If you struggle to find clothes, especially Japanese selvedge denim , Hinoya is guaranteed to have something for everyone. I faced the same difficulty in finding affordable, high- quality Japanese clothing . The struggle ended when I went to Hinoya and finally found the clothes I wanted after searching all over Tokyo. I am very happy with what I bought from Hinoya.

A must to go for denim heads where you can get Momotaro as well as LVC (Levi's Vintage) and service was top notch ! Very friendly team and the only regret is that I should get more ! I'll be back again for sure, if I'm in Ueno. Lots of nice food nearby too. An enjoyable place. Nice~

I have been eyeing this very spot for sometime, and in particular the Whitesville varsity jacket. Upon returning back to Tokyo im not hesitating to visit Hinoya at Ueno. Is a very easy place to find, just follow the map and direction. There are 3 to 4 Hinoya shops there, but the one in the corner is where im going. A very polite and friendly shop assistant, and i finally get the Whiteville jacket i wanted. I just wish i have more time to explore the shops, maybe later next visit to Japan. A memorable experience from Hinoya Honten. Arigato.

I came here because a friend recommended them to buy denim from. There’s another Hinoya if you walk a little further down also. I didn’t end up going anywhere else tho. They were limited in my size and cut I wanted but they were helpful and not pushy with the sale. They also do tax free so bring your passport. Card is accepted also.

We have a great shopping experience buying Japanese denim jeans. A big fan of Japanese indigo dye process and this store has plenty of choices of Japanese denim. The customer service is fabulous, very helpful, attentive and professional and knowledgeable about denim and fitting. Don't be wary of the store location because the has been there even before the train tracks were built. It adds character and history on the store.if one has to know, no space is getting wasted in Japan. Everything has a reason why a space exists in a manner. A favourite denim store in Tokyo.👍🏼👍🏼

I stopped by Hinoya in Ueno, and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with excellent service. The staff here really knows their stuff and goes above and beyond to make sure you find exactly what you’re looking for. I treated myself to a stunning, reversible souvenir jacket—very pricey, but the high-quality materials and craftsmanship make it worth every yen. The attention to detail is impeccable, and I already know this jacket is going to be a favorite for years to come. But my shopping spree isn’t over yet. I’ll be returning soon to pick up a pair of selvedge jeans for one of my newest clients in the reggaeton world. Keep an eye out—you just might see a famous Latin artist rocking Hinoya’s premium denim on stage! Very wide selection of brands. Staff was really helpful--many thanks to Yuka for helping me pick out a pair. The store is in the middle of a busy street market in Ueno, close to Tokyo Station. Worth a visit!
