Knowledgable staffs, super attentive, helped me pick out my first Japanese denim. Had it altered on the spot took about an hour. I was extremely happy that I picked up 2 pairs of dark indigo denim! Great prices about 40-50% less than if I were to pick them up in the USA. A must if you are visiting Tokyo!

Great selection of jeans for westerners. Staff were great. Yuka was extremely helpful and patient with me in finding the right fit and style. Couldn’t have asked for more. So happy with the jeans I ended up buying an extra pair. Alternations usually take 1.5 hrs which is relatively handy when you’re only in town for a while. Definitely size up in terms of waist and length isn’t a problem here. I think they had waist sizes up to 40 and possible above. Tax free shopping (10%), so remember to take your passport.

Great store, but my one small criticism is that when it comes to the popular brands such as Momotaro and Studio D’Artisan, there’s not much stock and sizes available. Sadly my hope of buying a pair of Momotaro jeans during my visit did not happen and I had to look elsewhere. That said, the staff were very helpful offering alternatives and suggestions. Store is very busy and tight, but fun nonetheless.

Great selection of high quality denim. I bought a pair of Pure Blue Japan jeans here. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave me his opinion on the fit of the jeans on me. They also hem the jeans for you for 500 yen. I’m going back before I leave to buy some chinos here. They carry all the big names in Japanese denim.

Superb shop, with an impressive selection of quality denim. And the friendly and knowledgeable staff are awesome, particularly Yukino, who looked after me very patiently. It was my fault for leaving things to the last minute (flight to catch), which meant I didn’t buy anything; however, I’ll 100% be back. Thank you, Hinoya!

My wife and I visited on our first day back in Japan and we were blown away by the selection of high quality denim and clothing that was offered. I was assisted by Ryo, who took the time to help me figure out proper sizing, fit, and recommended a few options. After much fun conversation, trying on a few pairs, and bickering over the finer details of each pair, I settled on a pair of SDA SD-D01. The buying experience was so good that later in the week, I asked for him again and he helped me get a pair of ONI chinos. What an awesome experience! Shopping at Hinoya was high on my to-do list when traveling to Japan. The attentiveness and customer service of the staff was top notch. I ended up buying a pair of Japanese denim that they hemmed within 60-90 minutes. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. This place is excellent.
