Hippocampus Hotel

We stayed here for two weeks in September 2025. The hotel is absolutely fantastic! Two beautiful pools with different vibes, but both very relaxing and quiet. Rooms are small but really clean, beds comfortable, and suprisingly good showers(not a given in Greece). Nice pool bar where you can also buy snacks, really good breakfast. Location is absolutely top notch. All this combined, and the super lovely staff really made our stay. Can recommend 110%!!!

Amazing hotel! Clean, modern rooms, comfortable beds. Our room came with kitchenette which was a plus. Nice pools. Pretty good breakfast. Very attentive and helpful staff. Location is perfect. Everything you need is nearby: beach, restaurants, stores, bus stop around the corner. We stayed here for 8 nights in September and absolutely enjoyed it!

Great location, good customer service the hotel is near the beach and bus station. The breakfast is quite basic and not particularly good. The room and bathroom were not very clean, and the bathroom lighting was poor. There were no extra pillows or blankets in the room, and since it was very cold, we had to request an extra blanket from reception. As there was no phone in the room, we had to go there in person. In general the price is ok but the hotel is quite basic.

We cannot praise this hotel highly enough. What a fantastic place to relax, situated in a prime position near to the beach and all the bars and restaurants surrounding. The hotel and grounds are immaculate, the pool area is stunning and the breakfast is excellent with lots of choice and high quality food. Our room is modern and spacious and the beds are comfortable. The only negative I can find is that the pillows are too hard and caused neck problems for several of us. ||The star of the show here though is the staff. They cannot do enough for you. We were a large party on the island for my sister’s wedding and they were so helpful and kind to us in the lead up to the big day. They even provided a club room for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready. (Apparently this was their first wedding and you could sense their pride.) ||We rarely return to the same place twice but we will do our utmost to return here as soon as possible. ||Thank you so much!

This was my 3rd stay at Hippocampus. Absolutely amazing and will not stay anywhere else in Kamari/Santorini. Hotel is beautiful, lovely comfortable rooms, clean, gorgeous pools and friendly welcoming staff. Thank you. Will be back next year.

Quiet lovely hotel. Lady from the reception was very helpful, sharing lots of information about the area. Fast check in even though we arrived kind of early.

Hippocampus is a great family run hotel with helpful and attentive staff, great location, excellent grounds and landscaping, good pool, so everything you wish for. Enjoyed a very pleasant 1 week stay in June and felt really welcome, but able keep my own privacy. Stylish.

The Hippocampus Hotel is one I would highly recommend staying at, and would definitely stay at again. It's clean and tidy, the staff are lovely, the rooms are modern and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast on offer has a wide range to choose from and the location couldn't be better. The pools are nice and there's plenty of room around each of them. A jewel in the crown of Kamari and Santorini.
