We stayed in Es Canar (September 2025) and took a leisurely walk to the Hippy Market, which I had really been looking forward to. I was hoping to meet some genuine hippies and see unique crafts and imaginative, traditional products to bring home as gifts. Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing.
Most of the stalls were selling the same clothes and items that you can find in the shops on the main street leading up to the market, so nothing particularly special. There were a couple of original stalls, but the prices felt extortionate. It didn’t really have the Ibiza vibe I was hoping for.
On the positive side, there is live entertainment, which was pleasant, and some food stalls as well. If you’re driving from another part of the island, parking nearby is about €5. I ended up buying a hand tie-dye T-shirt for €22 (which felt like the standard price, and nothing unique to Ibiza).
If I had made a special trip from elsewhere on the island, I would have been very disappointed. As part of a late morning walk while already staying in Es Canar, it was fine—but far from the “must-see” experience I had expected.
