The market was exactly what I expected. Years of trading have obviously shaped how the shopping experience is coordinated. If you expect to be able to amble around at your own pace, forget it. The whole market has its own pace. Accept that you are not going to be able to pass on stalls that hold no interest for you. The market's slow pace ensures that the stalls get a proper investigation. I totally agree with the way the market has evolved. The variety of goods available was exceptional. Unfortunately for me, there was a mass of similar stalls selling basically the same items. It was an experience to actually visit the market. Hippies however, for me are long gone. Good luck all the same. We returned later in the afternoon and found the market considerably quieter. Compared to visiting at the busy time, ambling around was a joy. The photos posted were from our second visit of the day.

Great place to visit… a lot of handmade crafts. Places to eat and drink. Easy to get to via bus from Santa eulalia €1.55 each way. Or even ferry.

We stayed in Es Canar (September 2025) and took a leisurely walk to the Hippy Market, which I had really been looking forward to. I was hoping to meet some genuine hippies and see unique crafts and imaginative, traditional products to bring home as gifts. Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing. Most of the stalls were selling the same clothes and items that you can find in the shops on the main street leading up to the market, so nothing particularly special. There were a couple of original stalls, but the prices felt extortionate. It didn’t really have the Ibiza vibe I was hoping for. On the positive side, there is live entertainment, which was pleasant, and some food stalls as well. If you’re driving from another part of the island, parking nearby is about €5. I ended up buying a hand tie-dye T-shirt for €22 (which felt like the standard price, and nothing unique to Ibiza). If I had made a special trip from elsewhere on the island, I would have been very disappointed. As part of a late morning walk while already staying in Es Canar, it was fine—but far from the “must-see” experience I had expected.

Nice market to spend the day, lots of unique vendors. Some do sell similar stuff. The food and drinks were very expensive: €5 for a can of coca cola and 10€ for the hot dog

I dont think theres many real hippies in Ibiza any more but for hippy vibes this is the market. What I loved was the various different music we heard pumping from some stalls & live too. This market is bigger than the other local hippy market and some stalls can be found at both. Got soaps, and beeswax candles a little cheaper than shops where we stayed. Especially loved the yogi & pressed flowers stall and trainers art 😊 I would have stayed a lot longer but one of us who hadn't been bitten by mozzies all week was badly bitten here. But the vibes yes- totally into it 🤍

A large portion of the stalls offered items that felt generic or mass-produced — more like a cluttered flea market than a place for unique artisan finds. There are some interesting pieces here and there, but in our opinion, it’s not really worth spending hours walking through it under the hot sun. Unless you’re very close or specifically interested, it’s probably not a must-see.

Great place to explore! Would recommend getting there when it opens to beat most of the crowds.

We drove out here, but parking was cash only and we didn’t have cash so we couldn’t stay. It was insanely packed and there were multiple huge parking Lots to park in. We ended up just going to a beach and having it mostly to ourselves.
