The stunning views and service is what makes this place serene. The local live music is also a relaxing plus. The food was okay, a bit over priced compared to the mainland but considering how secluded and locally sourced, it is completely understandable. I am glad I got to enjoy it before their official closing.

Google
Our favorite place of the week! Went there 3 times! Garlic shrimp pasta amazing! Servers were attentive and hard working and Isaiah was entertaining and funny! Live music was heart warming and beautiful. Views are an added bonus. We will be back from Oahu soon!

Great food, great service, and on Friday night was very good live music. Our waitress Christine was excellent!! I highly recommend this for a leisure night dinner. Best on the island.

I live on Molokai full time and have come here for dinners, happy hour on several occasions. Each time has been tasty but last week I went to dinner for my birthday celebration and it was THE BEST MEAL me and the hubby have ever had when dining there. I kid you it the poke was so scrumptious that I ordered 2!! The mahi was perfect and the fish of the day was great too! I asked our waiter who the chef was and it was mentioned that the Lyon brothers were the chefs and they are excellent! If you get a chance to dine here by so do it! I don’t have any photos since we are it too fast because it looked too good to wait for photos

I came from out of town to visit my parents, but I am no tourist to Moloka'i. The atmosphere here is more than beautiful, it's breathtaking. The food is exceptional. The list of "5-star quality" dining experiences on this island is almost null, so if that's what you're looking for, this is the place to go. Price point is $$-$$$ (comparatively). You can't go wrong though - it could be fun & social, or intimate (depending on the day of the week), has live music, and is right on the water?! I wish I had more pictures to add, but here are a few.

Google
Quick Summary Located in Hotel Molokai, this is the nice restaurant on the island and one of the few establishments that open on weekends. Food was fantastic. Service is pretty solid. And the sunset views are spectacular. Highly recommend to book a reservation, especially on weekends Food- 4 stars Dined here twice. Really enjoyed their hamachi collar appetizer special, kalbi ribs, and catch of the day. Wasn't a big fan of their saimin dish on their special. Would stick with kalbi or the fresh seafood if I were to come back Service- 5 stars Servers were fantastic both times I dined here. They can be a bit short-staffed but luckily the beautiful views make the time go by fast Views- 5 stars Fantastic sunset views and able to see plenty of whales breach during the winter. Definitely a romantic and exciting venue with the ocean backdrop Bottom Line Good food, excellent service, and beautiful views. Definitely worth trying once while you're on Molokai

Google
Given the plethora of positive reviews, we were very surprised that the quality of the food and especially the drinks was so poor. The fish of the day (red snapper) was excellent. The poke was possibly the worst I've ever had. There's no question that THE MAI TAI AND MARGARITA WERE DEFINITELY THE WORST I'VE EVER HAD. I'm not sure they even remembered to put tequila in the margarita. And what's with a menu that sneakily says "starting at" before listing the price of drinks? The lava cake was tasty but a bit chalky. The musician was awful, although I give her credit for trying. The sunset was great, otherwise I might struggle to give even two stars.

Google
We were fortunate that the restaurant squeezed us in (after our reservation message was missed). The atmosphere was delightful & right on the ocean as the sun was setting (especially with the Hawaiian live music in the background), the food delicious (and plentiful...no tiny portions) and the service exceptional. Honestly a wonderful, wonderful experience. Would highly recommend:)

Nils A.

Yelp
Aloha We had a great thanksgiving dinner including turkey, ham and all the trimmings and pie for desert Only thing we miss were the lit torches They used to be lit up every night but now they weren't even on for thanksgiving We miss them A LOT

Yelp
We ate dinner here twice during our Molokai vacation. Drinks, food, and service are good. Portions are really good for the price - because we had apps on it first visit we bright half of our entrees home fire dinner another night. It was still good. I had fish both times. He had fish once and then tried the ribs. The view is great. They had live music both nights we were there, which was lovely.

Yelp
Beautiful view, beautiful music, great food, and great staff. Hotel restaurant in Moloka'i right on the water. Had the Kalbi ribs and they were so tender. And had the banana lumpia for dessert. If you're in Moloka'i and don't come here at least one night then you're crazy!!

Amanda C.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant overlooking the water! The Korean rib I got was amazing. My mom got the shrimp Parmesan pasta. Both were cooked to perfection. Probably the nicest and best dinner spot on the island. Nice live music and quick service! Lava cake was a bit dense for my taste, but everything else was amazing!

Caren G.

Yelp
Located in Hotel Molokai, very quaint ambiance and local musicians will serenade your evening dining experience. Note that they are closed on Mondays! The Kalbi dish was perfectly marinated and hands down delicious. The Fresh Catch of the Day which I think it was Opakapaka, was delicious and we chose to have it served over a bed of pasta which too was delicious. You can't go wrong with their side of Spring Rolls too. Great lighting and the service was really fast. Highly recommend this place should you happen to visit Hawaii's Friendly Isle.

Dawn G.

Yelp
Just stopped for drinks. Check hours as only open late afternoon and evenings. Closed Monday's. Nicest restaurant on the island and right on the water. Clean appearance, laid back atmosphere. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Yelp
We made a phone booking for 5.30pm so we could see the sunset at 6pm (winter time) to celebrate our wedding anniversary with friends. A warm welcome and a fantastic view awaited us, and our waitress was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is open sided and runs along the beach so you will have a view at all the tables, and the bar. A band was playing Hawaiian music which helped set the scene, and parking is free n easy to find in the hotel car park. While the menu is limited, there are daily specials to round it out, and there is something for everyone, including a vegan dish (spinach salad). I decided on a special which was shrimp n salmon in a creamy pasta. It was satisfyingly creamy and delicious, with a huge amount of salmon n shrimp. Definitely not diet worthy....lol. Two of us plumped for the fish of the day and it was also delicious. Furikake Mahi mahi was a hit and something a little unusual from the norm. Sashimi was s special and melted in the mouth and we shared this as an appetizer among the group, then finished with the chocolate bomb dessert which was moreish. Cocktails were strong and merry and the restaurant was decorated for the festive season beautifully. We had a lovely evening celebrating our wedding anniversary and everything was perfect, setting, hospitality, food and drinks. Just blissful. Mahalo Hiro's.

Yelp
definitely eat here!!! amazing food and best view of the ocean and pool!! great service

Yelp
This is considered the best restaurant on Molokai. Unfortunately it's not all that good. Its main appeal is the beautiful seating overlooking the water and the sunset . For us, the service was extremely slow, my beer was warm. We were there over 1 1/2" before our main course was served. I had the prime rib, which I was disappointed with, it was kind of dry, and not particularly tender My wife had the fish special, which was Marlin that night, which my wife ordered, and after waiting an hour, they come out, and told her that the marlin is no longer available, and they offered her some other substitute fish. Forgot the name she said it was pretty good. I think if there was any competition on the island, this place would not do so well, but there is not. Save yourself some money there's a number of other not so fancy restaurants in town that have much better food

Leland S.

Yelp
Lunch at Molokai, I wanted the typical relaxing/treat yourself experience with the nice ocean view and all. Looking at spots this was pretty much the only spot. Here was my experience. AMBIANCE: Parking: Resort parking. There's room for about 30 cars. Since it's one of the few tourist hotels it could get busy. Seating: Outdoor patio seating, room for about 50 people. Feels: It's about 5 minutes away from the downtown area. It is in a very low-key resort. Nothing flashy but modern huts, a pool, and a restaurant. The spot itself is pretty nice. Outdoor dining experience that's shaded. The sand isn't your usual bright gold color but looking afar sight of the ocean and Lahaina is beautiful. There wasn't live music at the time but I did the Hawaiian music in the background. Great for a date night, calmer pace FOOD: Furikake Tempura Mahi Plate (Recommend) I wanted something a little light and this caught my eye. It was a good portion. Two thick pieces of Mahi fried well. The mac salad gets my approval as it had the cold, gooey, and flavorful texture. The roasted vegetables were simple and complimented my ahi well. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Awesome. Friendly and professional people. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars. Fantastic! Good amount of selections, understandable prices, delicious food, and a calming vibe. This may not be THE place to be out of all the islands but it's probably the best in Moloka'i. I can appreciate it and had a good experience here. If you're looking for a calm and relaxing experience, then this is the place. I wish the Hiro family and team all the best with their restaurant. TIPS: * Check online/call ahead of time for live music times

Yelp
The food, service and the ambience all deserve a five star rating! After settling into our hotel room at Hotel Molokai, we went to dinner at Hiro's we were met by Matthew, who helped us feel at home for the whole week on Molokai! Our waitress was very helpful, and friendly; we asked her a thousand questions about the dinner selections! The food was delicious as we enjoyed watching the sunset ten feet from the ocean! Our first experience was dreamy and breakfast the next morning was great too! This truly is a wonderful "friendly island" experience, I hope everyone has the pleasure of meeting Matthew!

Natalie W.

Yelp
Beachside dining to watch the sunset, yes please! Our server was Cindy, who was friendly and helpful with our ordering. It was our last night on the island so my friends and I were there to celebrate the beauty of Molokai. They also had live music, two people playing guitars and singing. Just a Beautiful touch. Drinks: The Mai tai was good, as were the Hawaiian sunset and pina colada. We ordered: Appetizer: fried calamari - yum! A lot of reviews praised the egg rolls but they were made with pork and not everyone at my table eat pork so we picked the calamari. Dinner: I had the slow cooked beef ribs- so tender and falling off the bones. The side of vegetables were outstanding- the best I've ever had. One friend had the fish special, which was marlin that night. Nice and Smokey flavor was detected. Same sides as me. Another friend had the chicken- I can't remember what it was but it was tasty. Our vegan friend had the spinach salad- it was huge. Her only complaint was the spinach leaves were big and it would've been nice if they were cut smaller. Dessert: we got the two options- gf lava cake and fried banana foster. Both came with ice cream and whipped cream. The banana had some caramel in it and was the more popular dish for us. So delicious! Def worth a visit if you're visiting Molokai. They serve food all day, just check it out. They take reservations by text, which was super convenient. It is housed in the Molokai Shores resort so you share a parking lot with people who are staying there. Mahola for the experience!

Yelp
Have been for dinner and brunch. The furikaki was the only garnish on the fish plate that seemed local. I felt that brunch should have included more local items. Fried rice and chocolate pancakes were the only none traditional choices.

Big Todd A.

Yelp
Fantastic little spot on the water. Beer is cold, staff friendly, and the poki was delicious! My favorite spot on the island.

Greg K.

Yelp
Moloka'i is abundant with local beauty--Aina Momona!--and Hiro's fits right in with a beautiful view, whales in season, best musicians you could ask for, friendly service, and ONO food! Make sure you catch a Friday pau hana or a Sunday evening with Sterling and Freddy.

Delaine N.

Yelp
The four of us had a wonderful experience at Hiro's Ohana Grill tonight. Cindy was a friendly and most capable server. Our bartender was a delight. I didn't catch her name, but she had a precious baby girl! All of our meals were delicious. And what a view! The evening was made even better with the musical duo who performed. It was a perfect evening. Thanks to all.

Yelp
Dined at a weekend buffet here. While eating, noticed a dark liquid dripping coming from under the table onto my leg and clothing. I made the server aware, but of course she did not really care, and just stated "oh, sorry". A few hours later I called to speak with the manager about the fact that the establishment caused my outfit to be stained and ruined. Long story short, they did not care and did nothing about it. They also charged a credit card for the buffet without my consent, as I did not provide a payment. They stated they had no affiliation with the hotel, yet they obtained credit card information from records from our stay at the hotel that weekend. (Fraud) As for the buffet, it was below average and averaged priced for Hawaii. The amibiance was average for the location as well. The place sits on the beach, yet it is not a nice enough beach to walk on really. The live music was nice.

Clifford W.

Yelp
Ate dinner on Molokai Island. I think this is the nice sit-down restaurant on the entire island. Free parking, hotel same location, and handicapped parking. If you eat here, I strongly recommend you make reservations. There are live music performers. Food was tasty depending on what you ordered. We ordered some specials that were not on the menu. Steak sandwich with fries, average, extra salty sauce on steak strips in sandwich. Pork ribs with veggies, very good, tender but salty. Wanton noodle soup with assorted meats, very good. Opa fried fish with potato was very good, fresh fish. Appetizers 3 rolls were very good. Appetizer spinach crab dip with crisp tortilla was very good. Maybe they need to cut spinach as getting dip with long strands of spinach was a little difficult. Beer assortment very good to excellent. Service was good. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars.

Norma L.

Yelp
This is probably one of the only places to have a "fancy" or special occasion dinner. But what a place. To be sure I emailed them for inquiring about a reservation and they responded quickly. We made reservations close to when they opened because we were staying on the Westside of the island and it gets a little harder to drive at night because it's not lit well like a big city. We got there and was seated oceanside. There is a lounge/bar area with live music playing and singing beautiful Hawaiian music. Ordered a couple drinks, which were ok. A little watered down. Appetizer we ordered was crab spinach dip with was served with fresh tortillas. Food ordered was grilled marlin and Korean galbi beef. Never had marlin before and will be on the lookout in the future. Galbi was so tender. They were out of banana lumping foster so settled on the gluten free chocolate lava cake. If you happen to find yourself on this island for a special occasion try this place.

Sarah K.

Yelp
Great place to get dinner in Molokai. I got the Korean marinated short ribs with steamed vegetables, roasted potatoes, and a side salad. Everything was cooked perfectly. Usually the steamed vegetables come out a little too soggy or mushy but here they come out with a little snap. The short ribs were seasoned well and went really great with the short ribs! Their complimentary bread is so fluffy. There was live music playing and the restaurant is right next to the water, so you get a lovely sunset view.

Alyssa A.

Yelp
Within Hotel Molokai is Hiro's Ohana Grill. This is the most elegant restaurant on Molokai great for special occasions. Tables have a beautiful view of the water and sunset. The menu has a wide variety of dishes. My vegan friend ordered the salad without cheese for dinner. The serving was large and more than enough for dinner. Just after sunset, during the golden hour, we were plagued by termites flying around landing on the table and our persons. Thankfully none landed in our drinks and we hadn't received our food yet. After the golden hour ended there were no termites for the rest of the night. Hiro's recommends making a reservation if you would like to dine in.

Melanie S.

Yelp
Hiro's is the restaurant at the Hotel Molokai. My friend and I went for dinner while we were on an overnight at Molokai and enjoyed it. They require reservations, but we were able to make one last minute. The restaurant is semi-outdoor, kind of a covered patio to enjoy the fantastic sunset. We ended up taking a table in the back because the table we reserved wasn't finished and we didn't want to wait another half hour. Our cocktails were enjoyable as was the dinner. I had the seared ahi catch with potatoes and enjoyed it. The portions were just right - not too much, but not too small. We enjoyed the live music as well! I believe the hotel posts the schedule on their website, but we hadn't expected any that evening and enjoyed the show.

Yelp
Perfect place for private events. Food is outstanding the venue is perfect. The ocean views to see across to the island of lanai is beautiful. Chef Woody has elevated his menu not just for the locals, but for the infusion of the different taste throughout the Pacific. Bar menu could use a little bit more updating and gastronomic surprises. Highly recommend it especially if you are staying at hotel Molokai or even just visiting the island stop by

Kim F.

Yelp
Terrific food/drinks and service! Of course we loved the live music and beautiful sunset while eating as well. Highly recommend! P.S. we were there while a large (30+people) party came and was served. Our server was super busy but didn't forget about us. Impressive!

Andy S.

Yelp
My wife and I went to Molokai for our honeymoon / 1st anniversary, so before we went I called and made a reservation for our anniversary date night. When we arrived the table was right on the patio overlooking the water, the sunset was beautiful. Our service was excellent as was the food. There was a man who played beautifully, and had friends and family in the crowd. If we ever come back to Molokai, we will be going to Hiro's. Thank you!

Ian S.

Yelp
Great food and great people. Only bummer no kids menu. So the kids split a steak. Thanks dad lol.

Matt H.

Yelp
We were staying at the Hotel Molokai and heard the restaurant was good. The food was overcooked and overpriced but worse than that was the rude older local waitress. As we were walking in for our second meal there my wife took a phone call so she sat down to talk to her son while I looked around. I watched this lady march up to her and say in a loud voice "You can't bring that water bottle in here!" My wife said she would be off in a minute and we intended to eat. The waitress repeated herself in an even louder voice not caring that my wife was on the phone. I honestly could not believe how rude this woman was so I took my wife and left. We stayed for 3 more days and never went back to Hiros. I don't know what this ladys problem was but she should not be allowed to deal with the public.

Joey R.

Yelp
Item ordered: Cajun Style MahiMahi White fillets of MahiMahi encrusted with seasoning and seared until tender and moist inside. Caper tartar sauce to accompany. Dish is served with rice or scalloped potatoes and fresh vegetables. *The exceptional fish was seasoned and grilled to perfection. I relished every bite. First off, compliments to the restaurant manager Michelle. Her restaurant is built around delivering unparalleled customer service for both local and worldwide guests. Throughout my visit, I was elated with the staffs tremendous work ethic. Honora, my server displayed utmost professionalism, attention to detail and replied to all my inquiries during my visit. She provided high-quality, proactive and superb customer service. I value and appreciate her efforts. I'm thankful for her positive energy and sincere kindness. Overall, the festive restaurant is filled with relaxing vibes coupled with live in-house music. Follow Molokai's motto: Slow down! Enjoy your time here at the restaurant. Rest assured, you will leave the restaurant feeling delighted and ready for a good night sleep. Salutations from California, Jose Rodrigues

Yelp
While working on Molokai yesterday, my coworker wanted to eat lunch at this place called - Hiro's Ohana Grill. Located inside of the "Hotel Molokai" property, you can find Hiro's towards the back of the hotel property, fronting the ocean front. Hiro's in an open air restaurant, featuring breathtaking views of the ocean, and on a clear day.............you will be able to see Lanai from your dining table! We came here kinda early for lunch, as we were up very early to do an important job on Molokai. By the time I got to the restaurant, I was crazy hangry and ready to EAT!!!! Upon walking into the restaurant, we were seated on a ocean front table. Although the restaurant has no A/C, there was a good ocean breeze going that day. The restaurant also has some ceiling fans, but it was not on that day, as the ocean breeze was nice & strong to cool down the restaurant. After looking over the lunch menu, I decided to get the Special Teri Chicken plate, which consisted of two pieces of de-boned chicken thighs marinaded with some kind of Huli Huli sauce, one scoop of white rice, a scoop of potato salad, and some steamed vegetables. My friend decided to get the "Surf n' Turf" which consisted of Kalbi Ribs, & Shrimp Tempura. The meal was accompanied by a scoop of white rice, a scoop of potato salad, and steam vegetables. What can I say about the meal? A delicious meal with a spectacular view, how can go wrong???? I loved the way my Teri Chicken was marinaded, as the marinade made the chicken taste like Huli Huli Chicken! Yum! Surprisingly Bruddah Fran also ate his Potato Salad, as he is not a fan of mayonnaise, but the way they did the potato salad was too good to resist! It also help that he rubbed some of the Huli Huli sauce on top of the potato salad. I must say the view from this restaurant is spectacular! On a clear day, you can see the island of Lanai from the restaurant. Hiro's is situated on the ocean front, so the view from the restaurant is really relaxing & beautiful. I can imagine seeing sunsets from here.........and at night when they light up those tiki torches, I'm sure you'll have a pretty romantic atmosphere. Entertainment happens here every night from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, see my pic for the schedule I posted. Service - Friendly & welcoming............our waitress Paulette took our orders quickly, and got out our grub in a timely fashion. What a wonderful restaurant! If I'm ever on Molokai again, I'll be sure to check out Hiro's again for a meal! Hiro's Ohana Grill is opened from - 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for Lunch 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM for Pupus (Appetizers) 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM for Dinner (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM).

Renko R.

Yelp
One of the better tasting restaurants on Moloka'i. The Eggrolls are a must! The best amount of food for the price I believe would be the BBQ pork ribs. Ribs were plump and the sauce on it was really tangy and sweet. Dinner time you'll probably need reservations since this is where most tourists will eat. Menu is a bit limited but the taste of everything is one of the best on the island.

Chrissy G.

Yelp
Delicious food with a beautiful view. Everyone was super friendly. Definitely enjoyed our time here. Catherine was a great server and bartender.

Kalei K.

Yelp
Food here was excellent. Live dinner music set the ambiance to the next level. The Aunty serving us the evening was on point. Hiro's does it good here people.

Alexander G.

Yelp
Hiro's Ohana Grill is the main restaurant and bar of the Hotel Molokai. It was the nicest restaurant we experienced on our trip, with varied options depending on the time of day. Located in the hotel, there is free parking, so you can just walk in to eat here whether staying or not. Hiro's is open for lunch, pupus at the bar in the afternoon, and dinner. Recommendations are necessary, especially on the weekend as every table will be full. The restaurant is open air with a gorgeous view of Lanai, Maui, and the ocean. During certain times of the year you can see whales breaching and boats going by. This is also a great place for sunset! They have live music most nights. Restrooms are part of the hotel nearby and are kept very clean. During our stay, we got to experience each of their menu times. The bar has a large selection of hard liquor mixed drinks, perfect for the atmosphere, plus a great selection of local craft beer and other macros. The pupu menu is available from 2pm to 6pm everyday, with a great selection of savory treats: rotating poke selection, steak, fries (potato or sweet potato), plus fried options. The larger pupus are served in a little boat; everything was delicious with big portions, perfect for a meal. The lunch menu has sandwiches, burgers, salads, and other lighter fare. They focus on local greens and meats as much as possible. I loved the iced tea; strong and flavorful. Drinks are not free refills however. Dinner is the highlight meal of eating here. It's primarily a seafood restaurant with lots of specials, so be sure to ask. They have pasta dishes, different preparations of fish, plus other fare. We absolutely loved the homemade taro buns; the best I've ever had. Dinner reservations in advance are a must and start at 5:30pm. They have larger tables for bigger parties, and lots of couple tables along the lanai overlooking the beach. Service was consistently fantastic; friendly bartenders, servers, and host staff. This place just lives up to the Friendly Isle vibe.

Angela C.

Yelp
Food is fresh and tasty here, and the environment is ocean front. Hiro is located inside Hotel Molokai. We had their fresh catch of the day, Mahi-mahi, Kalani shrimp tempura, and salmon poke. Everything was tasty and fresh. Service was good & fast. We had both lunch and dinner here. It was equally good. The dinner taro rolls were well glazed and so soft, and comes with butter. We would go again and anytime.

Joe C.

Yelp
The food has always been very good here. We've had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Hiros. The wait staff is very courteous and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant as a great place to eat while enjoying a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere and a fabulous view.

L F.

Yelp
We went to Hiro's for our 35th anniversary. Our waitress, Christine, was friendly and welcoming. We ordered, and the food came very quickly. Sadly, the margaritas were horrible. Didn't taste like margaritas at all. We asked for beers instead. Our dinner was served and we were almost done before the beers came. Christine offered dessert, and when we said no, she did not ever again return to the table. We watched as Christine checked in with her other tables multiple times, while ignoring us completely. We had to ask the hostess for our bill, and she brought it to us, but no one came to take our payment. We had to carry it to someone to pay so we could leave. We sat at our table for over 40 minutes without anyone checking to see if we needed anything. Not a great anniversary experience.

Don And Mike F.

Yelp
M- the only real dinner restaurant on the island somewhat limited seating so reservations needed especially on Sunday. Food is better then the outside appearance seem. This place seems like a local favorite. It's a good break from traditional Hawaiian fare. Although if fish is your thing it's fresh. They have a competent, kitchen staff, and employ a professional chef. Price is not value focused but reasonable, sea side view, and musical accompaniment nightly.

Adrian C.

Yelp
Chef Woody is da bestest of da restest, incomparable service & on top of that the finest view's & entertainment on the island. A must see, a must experience over & over again, Ambiance #1. Aloha lives@Hiros

Lisa S.

Yelp
One of only four places to eat on the island, Hiros is the nicest by far. The menu isn't overly varied but the food is good considering. The service is professional and good and we loved dining for dinner because the live music really brings the whole romantic island vibe together:) first night I got the short ribs. Very good, huge portion. Brought half back to the room . Hubby got the poke and again very good size portion. Second night I got the garlic chicken which was very good. A smaller portion than the short ribs. Hubby got the chicken teriyaki special which was good but not anything special he said. But if you go just before sunset you get some really nice shots!

Jon S.

Yelp
Breakfast here is AMAZING. DINNER REQUIRES RESERVATIONS and was frustrating. First, I have lived in Hawai'i for four years now and the location here is the best of any restaurant in Hawai'i. It is peaceful, waterfront, and with a view of Lana'i. There are breezes and it is just absolutely picturesque. Breakfast: their omelettes are among the best I've ever had. Full of toppings and just the right amount of cheese. Cooked to perfection. The loco moco was delicious too. Breakfast potatoes are heavy on rosemary - warning! Dinner: without a reservation 7pm was the earliest we could be seated (got there at 5:30). Tried to get a drink at the bar, waited 15 min while bartender served dinner guests while ignoring 8 people at the bar then left.

Yelp
It's decent but of the three dinners we ate there our meats were all overcooked. We ordered our lamb and steak medium rare and both came medium-well. The ono we got on our last night was practically dry. The spinach salad is basically all spinach with about a tablespoon of onion and one slice of tomato and one small crumb of feta. The drinks from the bar are good when they get your order right.

Yelp
Located on the property of Hotel Moloka'i, this is the nicest of the 3 restaurants on the island. It has a prime ocean front location facing the island of Lana'i that is perfect for relaxing while enjoying the sunset. There is regular local entertainment that performs in the evening to add to the experience. The decor is reflective of old Hawaii from the 60's and 70's tropical flair. Seating is limited, so reservations is highly recommended and especially if you want to be close to the water away from the inset dinning room. Food is decent, but does lack originality as well as variety. They do have tastes for everyone, but options are limited. I was disappointed that there was no signature dish or something of local harvest or catch promoted. However, go and enjoy the sunset and local entertainment as I feel it is more about the scenic experience and not the dinning there.

Yelp
Lovely view, tasty food and attentive service. Kalbi ribs were delicious and recommended by our server. Would love to see some more veggie options.

Yelp
Amazing views of the ocean and Lanai. One of the few restaurants open on Sunday on Molokai. Definitely the nicest restaurant on Molokai that I have found. Located at the Hotel Molokai. Very nice outside, covered seating on the water. We did make a reservation while staying at Hotel Molokai. I would choose to eat and stay here again. Live music both nights we visited. We had drinks at the pool during the day. I would recommend coming here on Sunday night with a reservation as they are 1of2 restaurants open for dinner on Sundays on Molokai. Good service. Nice touch of class with the hot was towels prior to dinner. Overall experience was 5 stars. Food was quality and fresh. I had the shrimp bassilian linguine. Large tail on shrimp in a slightly spicy, sweet, and buttery sauce with cheese garnish and garlic bread. Dessert was raspberry cheesecake. I was hoping for a raspberry fruit compote on the cheesecake instead of the light drizzle but it was still pretty good. That's the only negative thing I can say. Went down easy with some hot coffee.

Yelp
A spontaneous stop on our way back from hiking. I was concerned we weren't dressed properly, but the dress code was casual. We did not have a reservation, but were seated right away. Nice spacing between tables. Our waitress was wonderful. My husband got the ribs. I ordered catch of the day. We were both very happy with our meals.

Yelp
The mahimahi plate was very good with fresh vegetables and seasoned potatoes. Beautiful view of sunset and nice sunset setting.

Yelp
Omg. This is a hidden gem. Love the food. Love the service. Love the booze. I heard the shrimp and pork wonton was DIVINE! I was not disappointed. It was delish!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Moloka'i and enjoyed two meals in this restaurant, located inside the hotel. On the first night, we walked in tired and hungry. Lulu, our server, provided outstanding service and brought some taro buns and our drinks right away. I was disappointed because the buns were hard. However, that would be my last disappointment. In no time, Lulu brought a gigantic (and I do mean gigantic) bowl of saimin to the table along with my husband's ribeye steak. My hubby totally whacked that steak then suddenly remembered to save some for his breakfast since we had a kitchenette in our room. I couldn't finish the saimin. Let me say here that I love noodles and usually inhale saimin, but this bowl was just too big! I felt like Goldilocks with Papa Bear's bowl! The next meal we had was a lot smaller because, having spent the entire day in Kalaupapa, we were almost too tired and sad to eat. I had the clam chowder and my husband ordered the chicken tenders from the children's menu. This time, Arianna provided outstanding service. When she brought the standard taro buns, they were still warm and I enjoyed munching on them while eating my delicious soup. If you ever stay at the Hotel Moloka'i, don't make the mistake of not eating at the hotel restaurant. The food is tasty and the service is superb.
