I stayed at this hotel for five days instead of the original plan for one day due to an unavoidable situation during my free trip. I was able to solve the problem thanks to the hotel staff who helped me greatly despite my personal and embarrassing situation not being able to speak Japanese at all. I will definitely stay at this hotel if I visit Hiroshima again. I will remember your help forever. Thank you.

This was a cheap deal and we expected something basic but were totally amazed at what good value this was. Rooms were very comfortable, Western-style, with great views to the Peace Park, and had everything you'd need, even a fridge. The receptionist was very helpful and went out of her way to help us find a shop that sold traditional light fittings. Breakfast is pretty awful with resentful 'host' making sure you take the bare minimum but it didn't matter. Excellent location in an interesting city. Easy to walk to 'limousine bus' service to airport.

I can't recommend this hotel enough. This was the best deal we found in Japan. Normally you would easily pay twice the amount for a similar experience. I think this place has public funding and that is why they are able to offer rooms for the prices they do. As mentioned in other reviews, this is a legitimate hotel as apposed to a hostel. Our room was large, clean, comfortable and had amazing views of Hiroshima. It was a western style room with comfortable beds, wifi, and en-suite bathroom. The location was extremely convenient, just a short walk to the peace park and museum. The staff was extremely helpful. A small but tasty breakfast was included and served in a river-side cafe.

A large room by Japanese standards on the 9th floor with stunning views from both windows. The hotel is located on a river and is within walking distance to Peace Park, the museum, restaurants and convenience stores, a bus and tram route. Had a really comfortable stay here for 2 nights. Breakfast a little sparse but good as it's included in the price of the room which was a really good deal.

The room was clean and quiet, with a nice view to the Motoyasu river. I use their quick laundry service which was efficient as expected.||The hotel is located about 5 minutes walking to the peace memorial park, and has 7Eleven in front of the hotel.

Aster Plaza is within 5 minutes walk of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and museum on the dropping of A bomb on Hiroshima, and within 10 minutes walk of the Hiroshima city center shopping and restaurant district. It is also very close to the light rail stopto visit Miyajima, UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. As the Plaza is the public institution, it offers heavily discounted price for basic but functional and clean accommodations. It comes with basic amenities and free wifi access. They have special rate for foreign visitors as well. This institution is very popular for school and college groups from Japan and abroad, so booking early is recommended. For those who want to experience Japanese room, or if you are a family or a group looking for large rooms to accommodate up to 4 persons, it offers several Washitsu (Japanese style room) available, where you will unfold futons as per instructions provided. It even has small coin laundry in expectation of longer term visitors. Very highly recommended for those who wish to stay in Hiroshima city center and want your money go extra miles to enjoy all Hiroshima has to offer.

Spacious rooms, basic but comfortable. Dated deco and furniture, and bathrooms in need of renovation -- we had plumbing problems and strong smell of sewage during the night. One of the rooms reeked of cigarette smoke, despite it being a non-smoking hotel/hostel. Overall, decent location, close to the Peace Memorial Museum, but not sure I would recommend it unless budget is a major consideration.
