Hirschen Backpacker-Hotel & Pub

I didn't have high expectations coming here, but it turned out to be one of the most comfortable rooms on my trip. The reception is friendly, helpful, and speaks great English. The rooms and beds are clean, and the pillows are big and soft. I will for sure stay here again if I ever will be around Schwyz again.

It was a good stay. Room was spacious with personal locker. Very nice staffs that was very helpful!

It is a very cool place near the city center. The receptionist was very kind and helpful, even though we hadn't a reservation for the night she helped us a lot with hot water, a beer and a place to sit and eat. At the end she pointed us to the closest parking place. All in all it is a good place to sit at.

Good value for money. Double room with shower was clean and well maintained. It’s pretty basic but works well for staying for a night or two. Staff was very helpful and welcoming, we got a free drink at the bar downstairs. Pillows are too soft for my taste and there are no dark curtains. Otherwise everything was alright. Very close to the main attractions of Schwyz and to the hiking area. There is a free parking right next to the hotel.

Comfortable room, great pub, friendly staff

Great place, bar and hotel. Very friendly staff, offered us a drink when we arrived. The room was perfect, quiet, clean and comfortable. Still a backpacker though, don't expect a fancy bathroom, it's just the minimal, but it does the job fine. Just a bit overpriced for a backpacker, but I guess that's normal for central Switzerland. Located 4-5 minutes by foot from the city center, has parking spots in front of the hotel.

Amazing location aside, this hostel pretty much had everything I needed. It's not as flash as some of the city hostels, but it doesn't need to be.||The bar area is quite nice with some tasty local beers and a nice outdoor beer garden. I grabbed one of the local burgers on the menu and it was actually pretty good.||It's pretty close to town by bus, and the directions they give you are easy to follow.||The dorm room itself was comfortable enough, and the showers and toilets were adequate. The peaceful nature of the town itself adds to the atmosphere as well. A nice break away from the big cities. Well worth it.
