Historic Mardi Gras Inn

The style of the hotel is special and artistic. The front desk staff were always responsible and responding quickly. I would like to give thanks to Nikki, who patiently showed several rooms to me and answered all of my questions. Her professional work attitude and attention to detail were memorable and very helpful. I will recommend your hotel to my friends if they plan to travel to New Orleans.

Our room had not been cleaned. There was scum in the bathtub, the kitchen carpet had not been vacuumed (there was actual trash on the floor), and the kitchen sink was out of order. When we checked in, I made it very clear that I did not want to pay for my room with the card used to reserve it and gave the clerk the card I did want to use. I also told him that I was paying for just one room and that our friend staying in the second room was paying for that room. Our friend confirmed this and gave the clerk his credit card. Later that night, despite all this information being exchanged, I discovered that both rooms had been charged to my card used to reserve the rooms! This caused me to be overdrawn on my checking account and meant that I had to pay for everything else on my credit card. We immediately brought this to the attention of the hotel manager, who assured us several times that they would give us a discount for our trouble. After nearly a month and 6 to 8 phone calls--none of which were returned--we were just informed that the owner has decided not to make this right after all. WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN. STEER CLEAR!

Great place !!!! Awesome staff and caring team. We stayed in the family room and more than of enough space and comfort for all of us. ||Rooms are clean, staff is always ready to help. Amazing front desk and management team. Definitely will be back and highly recommend to other travelers.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Historic Mardi Gras Inn. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The service and hospitality extended to us was unmatched. We truly appreciate their kindness to us! We enjoyed sitting out on the patio and nearby amenities like Starbucks and Robert’s Fresh Market. I can’t say enough good things about the Marigny neighborhood and how easy is it is to walk over to the French Quarter. We will be back!

Loved every moment at this charming hotel! The location near the French Quarter is perfect for exploring. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive Jasmine was extremely friendly and had so much information about the area and where to eat Will definitely return!”

Worst hotel/motel/hostal I have ever been. Room was extremely dirty, bathroom/shower were disgusting (obviously years of no cleaning). Dust everywhere, dirty floor, smells Marijuana & humidity. AC not working, very loud during night, found a syringe in cistern! Bed sheets stained. We asked for cleaning but no response in 2 days, we decided to leave earlier because of the disgusting room. Definitely not recommended. We paid a very costly rate for such a bad experience, spoiled our trip to New Orleans. This place should be closed for insalubrious

Good location but that the only good thing about it. We had no internet and the air conditioning was terrible. There were no lights in one of the rooms and the ceiling fans made so much noise we had to keep them closed. And we didn’t get the room we ordered, but we did go into it at first check-in just to discover they already checked in someone else to our room

This place was wild and weird, I loved it! Will definitely come back and stay here again. Also, the lady at the front desk is a sweetheart, very kind and pleasant. I hope she reads this, because it's nice to hear someone say positive things about you, and I wish nice things for her.
