Historic Mikasa Hotel - c.1906

Well restored building and good illustration of the history of the hotel in different ages. You can also enjoy a fine afternoon tea after your visit on 2/F too!

Nice place to visit. Personally prefer more physical activities but the hotel looks really good and there is a cafe inside where u can have tea with applepie.

Fantastic hotel designed and made by Japanese designers. Keeping some valuable furnitures and elegant interior.

Ignore my rating. The place is closed and under renovation. Went all the way to the end of Mikasa-Dori just to find this out. It didn’t seem like there was much construction going on either, so it seems like it will be a while before it reopens to tourists.

As per the information, expectedly they will be under renovation for the next 4,5 years. Please take note before visiting and do not let it affect your reviewing. Thank you!

Each of the rooms inside this 100-year-old building offered a snapshot of the past and it was interesting to feel the retro atmosphere.

Interesting to see the old western architecture, but not many of the furnishings are left inside making it feel a little hollow.

Great place to visit!
