Celebrated our 54 1/2 anniversary at Historic Oak Hill Inn. Starting the evening with refreshing drinks with cheese and fruit tray over looking the patio with well manicured grounds the first night. The last evening was enjoyed on the large front porch. Don and Doug didn’t disappoint in the clean beautiful decorated home. Our room was located on the main floor with a comfortable bed and large shower and private bath. Very quite even with quest upstairs and any prep for breakfast wasn’t heard through to our room so we woke refreshed and relaxed to start our day. To top that off- We walked into the dining room to a 5 star gourmet breakfast very elegantly presented. At the end of our meal Doug shared history of the home and so very knowledgeable of Natchez history. He shared some interesting places that fit our interest. My only complaint is that we had not planned ahead to stay another night. We did not want to leave. Thanks Doug and Don for your hospitality. We will be back! Winston and Sandy

My husband and I stayed here for 2 amazing nights. The home is beautiful and Doug and Don are wonderful hosts. They provided a vegan breakfast for us and even made vegan cookies for us. We really loved the mint juleps in the evenings. The bed was really comfortable. We would highly recommend staying at this B & B. We fell in love with Natchez and want to return.

Beautiful House, Wonderful Hosts, Incredible Breakfast. We arrived late on our fist evening here and Doug went out of his way to welcome us. After he showed us around the house I enjoyed one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've had. Breakfast the next morning was unbeatable, a truly five star experience, the highlight being creme brulee french toast. After breakfast Doug gave a tour of the home, which was great. He went into detail about the history of the house and his own history associated with the furnishings. This was my favorite house tour during our time in Natchez. That evening we enjoyed the back porch. Sitting in rocking chairs enjoying wine while watching the fountain was a great way to end a wonderful day in Natchez! I was lucky to have had two nights in the great B &B Doug and Dan were able to book us a second night after a cancellation. They really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I cannot recommend Oak Hill enough!

This was our second stay this year at the Historic Oak Hill Inn. We returned for another 2-day stay and to attend Angels on the Bluff which was fabulous. Doug & Don are the best at what they do. Provide a wonderful experience in a very historic home with interesting personal stories surrounding the beautiful furnishings and artwork. The home is fabulous and gardens absolutely superb. We enjoyed Mint Julips and hors d'oeuvres on the front porch in the afternoon which was a great way to start our evening on the town. The breakfast was superb in every way. An 'event' using period silver and china in this historic setting with your own private chef. Their advice about where to go, dine, tour, and just enjoy our visit in Natchez was excellent. This was our finest experience at a B&B. Well done. We plan to return. Nick and Melanie

I visited Natchez, MS during their fall pilgrimage and had the wonderful opportunity to stay at Historic Oak Hill Inn. I loved the home and all of the beautiful antiques. My bedroom was spacious and comfortable upstairs. The owners were wonderfully accommodating and fun to get to know. The food was delicious and unlike any other breakfasts I've had at B&B's. I would recommend this B&B and will be sending my mom down to visit. I even enjoyed getting to know the sweet kitties that lived in the courtyard:) Didn't want to leave.

My husband & I highly recommend Oak Hill Inn as a wonderful B & B. The owners Doug & Don made us feel like we were family. Don’s chocolate chip cookies tasted great as we were greeted in the afternoon. The best breakfast we have ever had at a B & B or anywhere else was fine dining at its best! Lots of food to eat! All homemade! Since I couldn’t eat all of it, Don fixed us a bag with two banana nut muffins for the road. Doug is the gardener. And what a lovely property he has cultivated. Lots of exotic & unusual plants. He even shared cuttings from vines my husband admired. We enjoyed relaxing & reading by the pond. We have been to many B & B’s in our 50 years of marriage. Oak Hill Inn is now our #1 choice!

The owners of this inn really know how to make their guests feel welcome in their gorgeous home, from the chocolate chip cookies offered on arrival, to the complimentary mint julep in the late afternoon, to the chocolates in the room, the refrigerated water bottles and sodas in the room... all very nice touches that show how they care about their guests. We were worried about the grand father clock in the hallway that seemed to sound off every quarter, but the owners must have stopped it during the night as we didn't hear it after 10pm. Our room (the master suite downstairs) was large and beautiful, comfortable bed, beautiful antique furniture (as in the rest of the house). The only weak point would be the shower that takes a very long time to get warm water and has such a low water flow that it took us forever to rinse off, but you can hardly hold that against the hosts... The rest of the house is beautifully decorated with some pieces original to the house and the rest from the owners personal collection. The grounds are nicely landscaped with several beautiful fountains. It was too hot to fully enjoy the outdoors but we chose to have our mint julep by the fountain and it was incredibly refreshing... There are several restaurants within walking distance, as well as several mansions you can tour. Breakfast was one of the best we have had in a b&b, with eggs benedict, banana foster flavored french toast, fresh strawberries, coffee and orange juice. One of the owners sat down with us at the breakfast table and gave us a quick history of the town and the house, recommended a few places of interest to visit. Very knowledgeable and personable, gracious without being overbearing. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would enjoy staying there again.

We've just left Oak Hill after a wonderful two night stay and so happy that we found such a wonderful B&B! Oak Hill hits all the 5 star checkboxes! - Historically true residence with tasteful museum quality decor. - Quality, comfortable bed with hi end linens. - Gracious, experienced hosts willing to help with your trip in any way. - Breakfast feasts that rival the best big city hotels. Book it! You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Our stay at the 1835 Historic Oak Hill Inn was 100% the best experience I personally have EVER had!! Natchez, Mississippi is known as the "Bed and Breakfast Capital of the South," and it's easy to see how Natchez got that title with places like this! After purchasing the 1835 antebellum abode in 2004, Donald McGlynn and Douglas Mauro devoted 2 years to restoring it and it shows. They offer the best gourmet breakfast I have ever had and guests are also treated to homemade mint juleps and chocolate chip cookies upon arrival, a tour of Oak Hill, and access to the gorgeous grounds. People from all over the world stay here (Australians and Italians while we were there). Absolutely cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
You have to stay at this B & B if you go to Natchez! The home is beautiful and Doug and Don are amazing hosts. They accommodated our vegan lifestyle with delicious breakfasts and vegan cookies. They offer mint juleps or wine and snacks in the evenings. Highly recommended! Also, this B&B is within walking distance of nearly everything we wanted to see. We walked to most of the homes we toured.

Yelp
Starting 2022 off in style at Historic Oak Hill Inn! Fabulous accommodations, and scrumptious breakfast included. Fantastic front porch for rocking and sipping, or patio with fountain in back. Friendly hosts who see to your every need. House tour not to be missed!

Yelp
The oak hill inn is FANTASTIC! I am highly recommending it to everyone I know. The beds are all super comfortable and everything is clean. It has old charm feel but with modern conveniences that really work as they should. Don and Doug are wonderful and treated my group like princesses. They helped us make reservations at the best spots in town and were so fun to chat with! They were gracious hosts who let us decorate for our friends bachelorette trip. The food is TOO good. Breakfast is different every day with very fresh ingredients!! Mint Julips and Chardonnay is served from 5-6pm every day. If you're considering booking with them, you should 1000% do it.

Yelp
My friend and I were SO lucky to find a last minute available room at this divine B&B with superb hosts! Doug and Don have done an excellent job renovating this beautiful antebellum home in the heart of Natchez. The back garden is so peaceful with the trickling fountain and wispy Spanish moss moving gently in the soft breeze. Tempting homemade cookies sit invitingly on the table as guests walk in and there is a guest refrigerator filled with water bottles, as well as coffee service in the mornings. We were offered wine or mint juleps upon check-in. Our rooms were spacious and very comfortable, complete with canopied beds. The best part of staying at Oak Hill is the breakfast! They have 12 different breakfast menus that the hosts have perfected and our Saturday morning's feast featured the most decadent Southern delights! Delicious Eggs Benedict with a thick slice of Southern baked ham paired with a delicate potato stack with gruyere; freshly cut pineapple bites served in a stemmed crystal glass, and the star of breakfast: Creme Brulee Souffle made with homemade brioche accented with a lick-the-bowl-it-was-so-good homemade caramel sauce. Wow! Whoever is reading this now, I recommend you go to their website and make a reservation. Now. This Bed & Breakfast needs to be on your bucket list! I will be back.

Yelp
A sorority sister from 40+ years ago and I met in Natchez for a 5 day mini-vacation. We were pampered beyond our wildest imagination at the Oak HIll In. We had the entire upstairs (2 lovely bedrooms and the bathroom) to ourselves. At 7:30, the coffee aromas wafted upstairs. The gourmet breakfast was served promptly at 8:30 in the elegant dining room. Doug and Don gave us excellent information regarding what we should tour or where we could eat. Not once were we disappointed. It was refreshing to come back and sit in the divine garden or on the veranda sipping a mint julep. Can't say enough about how delightful the visit was!

Yelp
My favorite B&B! I have been lax as we stayed there a few years ago for our anniversary, while traveling to TX. The house is beautifully restored, the rooms are gorgeous, and the hosts were friendly and unobtrusive, but always prepared and generous to answer any questions or make suggestions for sightseeing or dining. Breakfast was delicious! Every detail is accounted for and perfected. I would love to return again!

Yelp
My name is Arlene Minder.I have owned my own business for 44 years.I have been very fortunate to be able to travel during my off season. I do NOT make a habit of writing reviews. I have chosen to write this review due to the INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE I had this past Christmas. Upon walking up the steps of Oakhill I could not help appreciating the fresh magnolia leaf wreaths on the windows. Entering,I continued to be amazed by the huge fresh evergreen Christmas tree exquisitely decorated, which I was later informed it included 2000 lights. The period furnishings made me feel as though I was in a mini plantation home. The gourmet breakfast was superb and artfully presented. What a way to begin your Christmas Holiday.

Yelp
One night here is not enough. This is a very comfortable and beautifully appointed B & B. Our hosts were very knowledgeable about the area, and of course, their property. We were welcomed with warm cookies, and later a tasty Mint Julip. It felt like a leisurely trip back to a time of luxury and beauty. We will return, but will stay longer next time. We highly recommend the Oak Hill Inn, in the heart of the garden district.

Yelp
If you're looking for a top notch bed and breakfast in the quaint town of Natchez, look no further! Exquisite breakfasts and great service! Amazing hospitality! I will be back!

Yelp
The B&B was beautiful, on a quiet street where I could walk to most of the historic homes I wanted to visit during my stay. The hosts were also wonderful. When we arrived they provided a tour and history of the home, fresh cookies, and mint juleps. An elaborate breakfast was served each morning. I believe it was the best breakfast I have ever had. The hosts used fresh mint and figs from the property which was a nice touch. I will definately stay here again.

Yelp
This bed and breakfast was gorgeous. Certainly unforgettable. My mother and I stayed here and it was truly wonderful. The owners, Doug and Don, were friendly. The breakfast was very good. I would highly recommend this B&B for anyone. Just keep in mind that children under the age of 12 are not allowed. They have such an intresting B&B and an amazing family history.
