I loved this place. The manager was a normal, friendly, down to earth person. Check in was a breeze and the price was reasonable. My only criticism is the shower went to luke warm, it was because of the temp stop in the handle, the sink got way hotter. It is an old building that has been renovated, so the windows are thin and the train may wake you up if you're a light sleeper. Other than that it was great, compleet with classit Route 66 decorations in the room. Also there are gift shops and restaurants close by within walking distance.

Lots of electric plugs in room but none in bathroom, may not have needed them when it was built. But you can work around it. Coffee pot. No breakfast but restraunt is just across the parking lot. Cute Rt 66 decor. Very comfortable queen beds. Clean. Close to the interstate from Rt 66. Lots of trains but did not find them disruptive. Nice owners.

I was a little apprehensive when I arrived late one night in April. The reception was locked up and all the lights were off, and I was worried that I would not be able to get checked in.||However, after a quick phone call a lovely gentleman turned up and checked me in with no fuss at all.||The room was very basic, but the owners had clearly made an effort to decorate it nicely and it was kept very clean and in very good condition.||In the morning I had an issue locking the door and again the office was closed.||However, a quick phone call to a very friendly lady and the matter was resolved.||I am happy to recommend this place to anybody needing to stop on a road trip, but do make sure you have your phone charged as you may need it to contact the staff.

Room was clean, bed was a little hard for us personally. Great location with a pretty good restaurant next door. Only complaint was the water pressure in our shower was very weak, like you could spit higher pressure. This could have just been exclusive to our room, still would recommend staying here!

Google
We thought this motel was extremely outdated and hasn't been renovated like they claim on the web site. The bathroom was very tiny with a dirty shower and a sink the size of an airplane bathroom. The bed was decent but the 'coffee bar' is actually just a small coffee pot that didn't work for my husband. The TV is in the corner at the ceiling and may swing out but we never used it. In the same parking lot is the Road Kill restaurant which was very good.

Historic Route 66 Motel deserves a more fitting name: ROUTE Sixty-Sux. The tired motel offers a miserable excuse for a mattress. The bathroom floor and shower floor are slippery and treacherous. The suite, which would be nice if there was a slight bit of quality infused into it, is devoid of any true comforts. A broken-down old leather couch with head-worn and sweat spots across the back, with not a single chair adds to the discomfort. There are no convenient electrical outlets, USB ports, or charging devices. The inadequate HVAC system makes the room unbearable. To top it all off, I was stuck into some outbuilding around the back of the Motel that was converted from a horse barn into a bungalow that’s decorated in a manner that can only be described as for Arizona whorehouse duty. Go elsewhere. Time your stay to pass through Seligman.

Google
Positive: The room was clean and had really cool Route 66 decor. The beds were the most comfortable we've stayed in anywhere. Memory foam mattresses. Would definitely stay there again. Negative: ""

Yelp
Old school with remodeled bathroom and comfy bed. Cute Route 66 decor. Two restaurants a football field away. Friendly check in.

Yelp
Awesome hotel! Clean, Route 66 themed hotel. Comfortable bed and the rooms updated. Room designed well. Restaurant on site...was delish. Walking distance from Family Dollar, and the Route 66 attractions. Stay here...you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
Erika was BEYOND Amazing!!! I'm my husband's Co-Pilot/Navigator from our Home Base in CA, while he is on the road. I Google search locations to make sure his rig will fit at his stops. Not Only did Erika help us out, she made sure he was able to see his rig from his room. She does Everything at HR66M! She had his room Spic n' Span clean and ready in no time for him. Made sure he went to the RIGHT place to get a good meal. He was able to truly relax and get the overly deserved sleep that Truckers Do Not always get. He will be making this route a few more times and I will not need to look for a place...Unless she has no vacancies. Whether you are just a traveler in a car or a Trucker like my husband, look NO Further than HR66M for you restful stop that you need to get re-energized. God Bless our Truckers... America is Nothing without you!

Yelp
Searched online for a place to stay doing the r66 thing from Santa Monica eastward. Totally fits the bill and is very close to town.

Yelp
First off let me say this is an OLD HOTEL- thats what makes it so cool! But it is CLEAN, updated inside and very well maintained. Erica at front was really friendly & checked us in really early when we got caught in a snow storm and had been driving all night so we could sleep. Nice beds, crisp clean linens. Best hotel in town

Yelp
Hats off to the Historic Route 66 Motel. It was a great kitchy place to relax and enjoy the room. Cayman is the owner. He looked to be in his late 20's, early 30's. Very nice guy. He had Route 66 souvenirs so I bought a coaster, magnet and pin. The rooms were well kept. Cayman purposely put to good use the rooms. A small refrigerator and single use Keurig in the corner of the bathroom but it worked. I don't know how long ago the rooms were renovated but they did a great job decorating in Route 66 decorations. Even down to the detail of Route 66 curtains. There were trains that went by but they were so quiet it never interrupted our sleep. Thank you Cayman for an enjoyable restful sleep!

Yelp
Clean, Welcoming and great location. We had left some electronics in our room when we left, we had gone to get some breakfast, one of the girls found our car and then found us to give us our items back. So honest. Cannot say enough about the staff here. Thank you so much. Walt & Dee from Maryland

Yelp
Clean and comfy room. Great value for the money. Cute decor. Perfect overnight while on Route 66

Yelp
It looks like a nice motel on the outside, but the inside of these motel rooms are a great size. We loved the decor, and it was very clean. The people were very friendly. We highly recommend this motel!

Yelp
cannot complain. we wanted a historic motel, and this place is historic, but has a bright and cheery interior, clean and fresh, with a blue wall and route 66 paraphernalia on the walls - a little kitsch, but that's what we came for - the A/C worked very well, thank goodness, and the beds were comfortable enough for this old gal. We had a room with 2 queens - us and our 2 kids - plenty of room for us all - and right next to the Roadkill Cafe - which is good after a couple beers. The woman that checked us in was very pleasant, all smiles, and very welcoming. I would definitely suggest this place to someone wanting the Route 66 feel to their journey.

Yelp
Per Booking.com it's pet friendly but it's not. My mistake was to Guarantee the room with my credit card. The cancellation cost was $92 for a $97 dollar room. The Place was almost empty so my error didn't cost them anything. My suggestion, reserve rooms with no commitment, there is no need to guarantee them with a credit card during the COVID pandemic...

Yelp
Very nostalgic, clean, needed a few tweaks in my room, but great bed, friendly check-in, very convenient to anything I needed. Would stay again.

Yelp
Alright, so I am always skeptic of Motels especially ones out in the middle of nowhere. But I have to say as far as motels go, this place was pretty awesome. Located of course off of Route 66, we got ourselves a spacious queen bed room. It had a nice seating area, dresser, and decent sized bathroom. It was very clean, and the walls were adorn with Route 66 paraphernalia. All in all for an overnight stay at $60, this place was perfect. Definitely stop by if you need a place to sleep, cheap & clean and you can't go wrong.

Yelp
Is it possible to overpay for a $50 hotel room?.... perhaps.. Rolled in at midnight with my lady... 8 hours at the wheel were weighing on my eyelids and the 25 mile ride to the nearest town might as well have required a time machine.. As I was done driving and this was the only option beyond sleeping in my ladies Toyota Camry. Checked in and was sound asleep before my head hit the pillow.... Thankfully! During the night the AC we had pumping so cold that my lady had to grab the spare blanket from the shelf in the wall... I woke to her complaints of a very itchy night... Scanning the run down room it was obvious we had spent the night in the dingiest room of our trip. It was not dirty... Just tired and in need of renovations. I noticed there was a web of a cocoon stuck to the blanket my lady pulled during the night... Which I quickly made disappear from sight... My lady was already skeeved out by the whole experience. I went to checkout and was greeted by the management and their friends enjoying coffee while sitting on some lawn chairs.. They were very welcoming and genuinely friendly. Inside the office was fresh good strong coffee, gourmet herbal teas... pastries and chocolate covered biscotti! How about that for dichotomy!?? I would never bring a lady to this place, however as a single dude roaring across the country it may pay to suck it up and save some cash.. Fill your thermos with coffee to rival Starbucks, and snatch as many of those biscottis you can...

Yelp
We stayed in this motel last Friday night coming from Lake Havasu city Arizona and heading back to Conifer Colorado. Was a great little motel with a very nice clean room and at a decent price. We had a nice fridge, a coffee maker, flatscreen TV and a very comfortable bed!! We ate next-door at the roadkill Café which gave us 10% off since we stayed at the motel. We'll stay here again on our next trip through Arizona!!

Meri Elen J.

Yelp
This place is amazing!! The rooms are huge and beautifully decorated as you would imagine it should be in coordination with the name. It was clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful!!

Yelp
Cool theme to the place. Rooms had a cool Ford/car/driving theme to them. It was snowing and the TV's had no signal, so if staying in a ghost town wasnt eerie enough, you had to do it in complete silence. Right next door to an restaurant with a bar. That's a plus. Beds were not very comfortable, but I got by. Shower gets piping hot, which was nice. Only complaint: I was traveling for business and stopped here on my way, but they couldn't give me an itemized receipt, just a little receipt stub like you get at a gas station. I get that it's probably family owned and what not, but if you need a receipt like you get at a normal hotel, might not want to stay here.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place a better rating, I really do. However, the beds were hard as rocks, the heater stunk so we couldn't use it despite the weather being very chilly, and the shower never got above lukewarm which was not pleasant on a cold morning. It's a shame because the room looked nice and had pretty cool, retro décor. The staff was friendly. The in-room coffee was very good and not at all the usual disgusting "hotel coffee". It's shortcomings were just too much.

Yelp
Would have rated this 0 stars if possible. The female manager had a terrible attitude and acted like I was bothering her by getting a room. I honestly think a honey badger would have been easier to deal with. She explained there was a $200 deposit due to past thefts that would be refunded up to 7 days after checking out. On top of that, the room was $90 and she neglected to tell me there was a AAA discount until after swiping my card and then refused to refund it. She sent us up the road to a cafe called Snow Cap for some ice cream. She FORGOT to mention it was closed! When I asked her for an ice machine she replied in the most condescending, bored tone that it was around the corner. On top of all that, there was a giant turd floating in the toilet when we got in our room. I had had enough and refused to talk to this insufferable lady one more time. Even after drinking a cold Coors Light with my wife, I couldn't sleep with the sound of the trains driving by every hour.

Yelp
Basic, clean and so happy we stopped here as opposed to sleeping in our car on way across states to Texas. We got a queen room and it was large enough for 4 even 5 people to sleep comfortably. a little pricey but not like i said clean and exactly what we needed.

Yelp
This place has really cool gifts if you're stopping by from interstate 40.. Check it out.. It's a real creepy little town.. I like the zombie like ghost town feel it gives..

Yelp
A cute place! We stopped on our way to the Grand Canyon with our three kids. It was nice for the price. It was ok!

Tom V.

Yelp
Stayed here on a road trip for business. It was a welcome stop after 10 hours on the road. Room was basic, small, and clean, with cool décor. Heat worked, TV worked, water in the shower was hot, and the lady working the desk was polite and friendly.

Yelp
This was the second time I've stayed at the Historic Route 66 Motel. It's a bit overpriced for what you get. But it's a great place to stay for a night or two when on the road. Like the first time, we stopped by here on our way camping in Utah and it's a comfortable stay. Very clean and unintimidating. The owners are nice people. The room decor is nicely designed to the Route 66 theme. My only complaint would be the price. I don't think the room was worth what my family and I paid for it

Hannah J.

Yelp
I had a great experience at this hotel - stayed overnight in the middle of a snowstorm. The manager and her family went out of their way to ensure all the guests were safe and comfortable despite the brief power outage. As a single lady traveling alone, I felt completely safe here. The room was snug, clean and comfy with all the basics you'd expect from a motel, plus the unexpected warm, friendly service. 2 thumbs up!

Jerry S.

Yelp
Great friendly staff, clean and cool retro decor. Would stay again and recommend to anyone.

William M.

Yelp
I've stayed at this motel a dozen or more times over the last 15 years. I've tried two others in the little town of Seligman that don't measure up. If you're a picky person don't expect Hampton Inn amenities. This is an honest little period motel in a rural Arizona railroad town after all so keep an easy attitude. There are two good places to eat within a 2 minute walk. The Road Kill Cafe is next door and my favorite place, West Side LIlo's is directly across 66.

Nance C.

Yelp
We arrived and went to the hotel our travel agent suggested!! The place was full due to an event this weekend!! We stopped here and the young lady behind the counter could not have been nicer! The room was clean and 2 full size beds and plenty of room! The room was clean and did not feel like I had to check for bed bugs!! They charged a fair rate with a $100.00 deposit if you smoke in the room or bring in your animals to the room!! I would stop here again if we ever take a trip across our country!!

Kitty C.

Yelp
We passed through Seligman about 2 weeks ago and spent the night at this motel. It was very comfortable, clean and the proprietor was super friendly. We definitely recommend the Historic Rte 66 Motel and would stay there again!
