This covered bridge in beautiful NW Connecticut is worth a visit. It’s 172’ long and is very well kept. There is a little parking area and viewpoint near one end of the bridge.

I've been to the Cornwall bridge several times. My daughter and I love to go on Sunday drives and it's such a beautiful drive up into the Cornwall area. I love to photograph the bridge and recently it has been hit by a truck. So my daughter and I took a ride up there to see if it was under repair or if it had been fixed. And luckily for us the bridge was open and had been repaired and was beautiful as ever. There are some benches by the river and my daughter and I enjoy sitting by the river watching kayakers and fishermen. It's an absolutely beautiful historic covered bridge and the state of Connecticut is lucky to have it. If you're ever out driving around on the weekend and would love a little bit of history drive up to the Cornwell bridge. It's a beautiful site

Scenic, quaint NW Connecticut spot. Beautiful place to walk or be on the water. Not much available for dining. Enjoy nature's vibe.

Honestly nothing particularly special but it’s a nice spot off to the left to take kayaks out and scout down river. Decent views depending on time of year for foliage.

Beautiful spot in fall. Been coming here since I was a kid. Love that there are still spots like this preserved in time.

Not the best subject for photographers. Comstock much better. You can drive over this bridge but that is really all it has going for it.

First time there (10/18/20) just to see the bridge and we really enjoyed our afternoon. Brought my in-laws and they loved it. The colors of the leaves was amazing to see & the bridge is really beautiful. Interesting to see aomething that we don't get to see here in the city.

Yelp
This is said to be one of the last covered bridges in Connecticut, made and used since 1864, when it was designed by Ithiel Town. The bridge is 172 feet crossing the Housatonic River. The inside is beautiful in a lattice truss design of red spruce wood. It's at the intersection of Route 7 and 128.

Yelp
Gorgeous 172 foot covered bridge in West Cornwall, CT! It's the longest covered bridge in Connecticut! We love the red spruce exterior and beautiful lattice truss design. Spanned over the Housatonic River, the views are spectacular! Open to vehicular traffic, this bridge is plenty wide and sturdy for a one way lane. The upkeep is evident, (and has been modernized) truly remarkable for a bridge built in the 1860's! There are only 9 covered bridges in CT, and this one is a must see!
