A fantastic experience in the heart of Bruges! The Historium blends storytelling, multimedia, and virtual reality to take you back to the 15th century. You follow the journey of Jacob, an apprentice of painter Jan van Eyck, through beautifully designed rooms that recreate medieval life with sights, sounds, and even scents.
The VR experience is a real highlight — flying over historical Bruges was breathtaking. It’s well-organized, family-friendly, and engaging without being too long (about 1 to 1.5 hours). The optional tower visit also gives you a great panoramic view of the city.
It’s not a traditional museum with ancient artifacts, but more of an immersive experience — perfect if you enjoy interactive history. Slightly pricey, but worth it for the quality and creativity.
Highly recommended if you’re visiting Bruges for the first time!
