We rented some mountain bikes here. You can also choose for e bikes. The quality of the bikes is good. What's nice is that you can drop the bikes at other locations and take the train to go back to your starting point!

Really nice view from the window. When we walked around, the people here are very nice. The rooms are very clean, and we have to clean it before we leave. I recommend it because it’s very expensive in Norway.

Great location, in front of the lake. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. The rooms were comfy. Good place to stop while on a bike riding trip. A bit expensive, but understandably so

When the sign above the gate reads (in Norwegian) "Nightly for Travelers Through 1200 years" you know you are walking into history. Hjerkinn Fjellstue is a lovely property situated along the St. Olavs Ways, or pilgrimsleden. It has a lovely view of mountains and lake. There are horses to ride, bicycles to rent, and PFDs near the entrance hinted at boat rentals. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. The lobby has comfortable seating for groups and individuals, with a quieter library nook upstairs. The dinner buffet is delicious and varied, with a fantastic selection of cheeses and bread. The breakfast buffet is ample, and bags and wraps are available so you can pack your matpakke for whichever adventure you decide to choose for the day. My most beautiful pictures from two weeks in Norway were taken within one hour's hike from here. I can't wait to return!

This is not a camping for tenting. If you are lucky you can find a little green patch forgotten by a trailer/campervan or not squat by a residential trailer. Bathroom facilities are great and very clean but kitchen is more for a plan B. No food supply around except in the lodge at high cost. The lounge is , however, very cozy and welcoming for a drink. Would be nice to welcome real “campers” - backpackers, pilgrims, cyclists - with an open green space reserved for tents.

What a beautiful campsite with lots of things to do. We loved it so much we stayed for 3 nights rather then only 1 as planned. Very kid friendly - reason might be that they are a family run business in the 13th generation - they know how it's done. Very impressed with the friendly, helpful and cheerful staff. We properly enjoyed the Norwegian breakfast and dinner buffet. Good quality and variety. BEST by far was the horse riding adventure! What an experience! I only have a little riding knowledge, but these Island horses are well trained and they go through any terrain. So we went on the trip as a family - including my 7 year old son - who absolutely loved it. Martin (the guide & co-owner) shared a lot of his knowledge and some good stories. We even saw some muskox :-)

A beautiful setting and new facilities great motorhome stopover for a night or two. The emphasis is on horse riding and other outdoor holiday activities in the nearby park. Highly recommended

we booked an appartment for the 4 of us. plenty of room, clean. the breakfast was plentiful, with the possibility to pack lunch like in most mountain lodges.||Among very appreciated points is the outstanding view on lake and mountain, and the hot tub waiting for you. We could leave our car there during our 5 days trekking, which was also very convenient.||Privately owned farm, so no DNT discount here, but it does not matter, we liked it. final cleaning has to be paid for if you do not do it by yourself.
