Ho Thuy Tien is such a fascinating urban exploration park! The old buildings and overgrown areas make it really photogenic and fun to explore. Just a little tip, be careful as night falls! We got a bit lost ourselves, and let’s just say the ghosts didn’t hand us a map. Bring a flashlight and a sense of adventure, it’s totally worth it!

An ideal spot for walking, cycling, or enjoying a picnic. The area features a spacious grassy field shaded by cool pine trees, offering a peaceful and airy atmosphere. The newly constructed path around the lake is beautiful and easy to walk on. The best time to visit is around 4 PM when the weather is cool and perfect for a stroll. There’s a cluster of structures in the middle of the lake that hasn’t been restored yet—it has a wild, untouched charm but also gives off an unpleasant odor due to long-term neglect. Cold drinks are available at reasonable prices. Bicycles are available for rent at the gate. Entrance is completely free.

Truly stunning park. Walk around a lovely abandoned waterpark and head into the dragon head. You can enter for free but there is a guy who will explain that he helps clean the park and he asks for about 25k per person and bike as "charity" he will give you a free bottle of water. You can hire bikes from him and cycle around it. You're not allowed to drive around it. If you go off the path a bit you may discover other decrepit watersides. Its a nice place to get some good camera footage. Its well kept and beautiful and sunset.

Would have been a fun park to go to when it was operating and I hope it gets there again. The dragon looks impressive but smells like urine inside really. You can hire bikes and do a 2k loop around the lake which is not bad if it's not to hot. The dragon is only a short walk from the carpark so you don't need to hire them.

Pretty great place for a walk. The actual abandoned park is a fairly small area with two main attractions the dragon island and some overgrown slides and pool. You can actually take the stairs all the way to the top of the dragon which is pretty cool. The whole place feels like a maze with lots of winding stairs which is awesome. The walk around the lake was also very nice and relaxing.

Bike Rental: 20,000 VND Donation fee: 20,000 VND Coconut water: 40,000 VND Khai Dinh Tomb honestly blew me away. The mix of Vietnamese and European styles is so unique — it feels grand but also really artistic. The details in the stonework and mosaics are insane! Every corner looks like it belongs in a movie. The inside of the tomb is next-level gorgeous. The ceiling alone, with all the dragons and clouds, is worth the visit. It’s over-the-top in the best way possible. Also, the view from the top is peaceful and beautiful. If you’re in Hue, definitely don’t skip this. It’s one of those places that stays with you. 👑✨

Amazing. Went early afternoon, hardly anyone there. Dragon structure is pretty solid and very safe. Easy to take stairs to the top. Nice graffiti. Well worth the effort to get there. No hassle from any security guards.

Totally missable! The path around the lake is beautiful of you want to enjoy a run or a walk. I got the bike from the people at the entrance (for 50,000) as they said it was 2km and I didn't have much time. It isn't 2km, you can walk no prob, the bikes are in bad condition anyway. The statue is ok, but just an old structure, amid many amazing things in Vietnam, I would prefer to spend my time somwhere else. I only spend a night in Hue, but to me, thebonly thing worth visiting was the Imperial city.
