Great stay! The location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk to the tram stop. The beds were really comfortable, and the place was generally clean. The staff were so sweet and helpful. Also, the people in the room were very respectful. I would recommend it.

This hostel is absolutely wonderful! The rooms and beds are comfortable, clean and have lots of space. The location is convenient and quiet. Best of all though is the staff. Every staff member is friendly, kind and helpful. The staff really makes your stay perfect in every way! Myriam is an especially kind and caring staff member - she is welcoming, generous, knowledgeable, and a perfect host. I give this hostel my highest recommendation! Thank you to the staff of HO36 for making my stay in Lyon truly memorable.

Tbh, I thought this was a pretty great hostel. The rooms are clean, beds are comfy, and the cafe / bar area downstairs is nice and viby, which you don't always get in hostels ie it's actually a nice place to hang and work or read etc., and seems like there's a nice mix of people staying in the hostel and locals too. It's not super central but central enough to walk everywhere. I never personally felt unsafe, and was out til midnight / 1am on a couple nights. Some great food spots nearby too. I can't speak to other people's specific experiences, but it feels like some of the more negative comments here are from mismatched expectations ie if you're looking for a hotel in the centre of the old town, this is not the spot, if you're looking for a nice relaxed hostel with good vibes, this is a pretty decent option

Great hostel. The cafe downstairs makes it perfect for anyone that needs to get some work done. Best nomad spot to spend some time in Lyon. I fully recommend the Boulangerie that’s one block from it .

This hostel seems to have good reviews overall but I'm leaving some essential info anyway that not many people bothered to mention. I booked this place through another website and from the photos uploaded there I quickly judged the room would have 2 bunk beds, hopefully with a shared bathroom within - and I was completely wrong. 3 bunk beds for each room and the showers allocated for 3 rooms were only two. 2 showers for 18 people? Of course there are many hostels which might have even worse conditions, but at least those basic pieces of info should've been mentioned or shown on the photos. I had too much expectation. At least each bed had curtains as some other reviews mentioned. However no shared kitchen or fridge provided, I had to ask the staff members and it seems you have to make requests every time you'd like to store something in the fridge. Perfect accommodation for someone who literally needs a bed. + after the stay I can reaffirm the slow and passive attitude of the staff along with other reviews. Someone went into my upper bed to turn the bed light off, as I left the curtains wide open whilst gone in the bathroom. I didn't feel safe about this where my personal belongings were left unprotected - as anyone could've done the same with their stuff if it's an "upper bed" - and reported it to the staff, their attitude was "so what, your stuff didn't disappear and he didn't have any bad intention we think." Bravo, guys, I feel so welcomed.

Lovely little place! Nice design, has lots of communal space, good wifi and privacy with curtains over bunk beds. The staff were friendly too, and the guy working on the night was helpful when I had a nightmare with my phone. Not many bathroom facilities but it didn't cause any problems.

Simply a "Nightmare Experience": my partner and I booked a room in this structure with a private bathroom which, from the pictures shown on Booking.com, seemed nice and cozy. But when we entered the room, it was extremely dirty everywhere: the floor, the bed sheets, even the walls and the roof!! There were stains and dust everywhere, the bed linen/sheets/pillows and materass were full of yellow stains and little brown circular stains (typical sign of BED BUGS presence!!). Also, the window dumpers were broken, old and super dirty as well. Everything is reported in the pictures I am attaching.||The only thing that I save is the availability and courtesy of the structure Staff, who showed professionalism and empathy and didn't hesitate in contacting the structure manager to let us have a full refund.||In short: if you're not a teenager/student trying to save as much money as possible DON'T GO THERE!!!

My room was very modest, although quite expensive. It didn't seem like a hostel/hotel room. The pictures on the hostel website didn't do it justice. But I had a great time and the atmosphere was excellent.
