This hostel seems to have good reviews overall but I'm leaving some essential info anyway that not many people bothered to mention. I booked this place through another website and from the photos uploaded there I quickly judged the room would have 2 bunk beds, hopefully with a shared bathroom within - and I was completely wrong. 3 bunk beds for each room and the showers allocated for 3 rooms were only two. 2 showers for 18 people? Of course there are many hostels which might have even worse conditions, but at least those basic pieces of info should've been mentioned or shown on the photos. I had too much expectation. At least each bed had curtains as some other reviews mentioned. However no shared kitchen or fridge provided, I had to ask the staff members and it seems you have to make requests every time you'd like to store something in the fridge. Perfect accommodation for someone who literally needs a bed. + after the stay I can reaffirm the slow and passive attitude of the staff along with other reviews. Someone went into my upper bed to turn the bed light off, as I left the curtains wide open whilst gone in the bathroom. I didn't feel safe about this where my personal belongings were left unprotected - as anyone could've done the same with their stuff if it's an "upper bed" - and reported it to the staff, their attitude was "so what, your stuff didn't disappear and he didn't have any bad intention we think." Bravo, guys, I feel so welcomed.

I stayed here in February while traveling solo. The hostel was fairly clean and offered luggage storage, which was convenient. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, except for one girl with long dark hair who made me wait exactly until check-in time even though I arrived just 15 minutes early. Every time I needed to speak to her, it felt like I was bothering her. Overall, a decent experience, but that attitude left a bit of a bad impression.

The people working here are very kind and helpful. Rooms are clean and look modern. Would definitely recommend this although the neighborhood is not the safest.

Amazing hostel. Extremely customer friendly and accommodating staff, even to special requests. Room service with a towel change everyday despite being a "hostel". Breakfast is great too

+Bed had very good curtains, which gave a lot of privacy. +Downstairs area is with nice atmosphere with music. +There is option to ask to put your food in fridge. +Location is very good. Central places are easily accessible on foot. -The room was on 4th floor and there is no elevator. After long walk to hostel, it was not that fun to climb. -The bathroom, WC area is with very narrow corridor. Not that comfortable, if there are other people. -There is no kitchen. -On second day my key stopped working. Staff got it working again. -2nd story bed has this very weak looking bar with tag "fragile". It is not so comfortable to climb without it. After few times, i reallised the easiest way is to hold the upper bar, but that would not be so easy for shorter people.

The hostel is clearly ill prepared for situations involving sick people being in shared rooms. My roommate was coughing for hours not only waking me up, but endangering me with their illnesses. I tried to change rooms, but was only offered ear plugs as the hostel was booked out. I asked the staff to allow me to sleep in the lobby, but their response was that I am not allowed to sleep there. By far the one of the worst experiences on my travels

IF YOU ARE A GIRL, DONT GO. After spending 1 night me and my friend (both woman, 20 year olds) we realised that this hostel is in the MOST DANGEROUS AREA in Lyon. Plus, we are at the hotel part and another woman was able to open our room (she did it by mistake at 10am). Not even the ROOM is safe.

Awesome place to stay. Convenient location and good staffs. If staying in summer please be aware that facility doesn’t have air condition.
