5 STARS||||We are a well travelled couple with a life time long experience in tourism. For us, the best about this hotel is that it's not your "typical sterile" hotel experience. The design is stylish, funky, the feel is more like being in someone's private home rather than a stereo type hotel. ||||Our room was on the 12th floor with a great view. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean with crispy fresh bedding. Loved the gadget wall in the room - you could use and borrow the things like a bag, which was very handy for our outing.||||The breakfast was very satisfying. The food quality excellent. Only downside that the breakfast room got really full. Felt like they all were not the hotel guests but people coming from nearby companies. So it felt a bit crammed. ||||The hotel front desk staff were friendly and laid back - could even crack a joke with the youngish woman serving us at the check in. So again, the feeling was less your typical stereo type hotel experience but more relaxed and welcoming, like visiting a friend. These kinda things make a huge difference and the management of the hotel are cleaver to get this. ||||And hey, never seen such a funky room key! Again, who ever is behind this hotel, has an eye for the design and marketing, great job! ||||After our HoBo experience, we wouldn't go to any other hotel in Sthlm anymore - KANON BRA HoBo!||

This was my first visit to Stockholm and my first stay at the Hobo Hotel and I have to say I was impressed. We were welcomed like family members nothing was too much trouble. The facilities at the hotel were 2nd to none. The hotel was in a good location which made exploring the city by foot very easy. Nothing was too much trouble I needed a fridge and that was sorted for the duration of my stay with no issues. I will be coming back.

We had a great 3 days stay! The staff was so accommodating! They even helped me find a store that sold the local soccer team’s merchandise! Breakfast was great, and was a good size spread! We would definitely stay here again!

Hobo hotel has a very nice and young vibe. The bar is packed every night. The breakfast at Tak is so lovely and can see the area from the roof top. The room can be small for 2 people but likely with that price range in town is what you are going to get. We have a great stay there. Centralized location and easy to travel to all places within short distance. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was an absolute highlight of our stay! We were incredibly impressed by the huge variety of delicious breads on offer – a true treat for any carb-lover. From classic staples to unique artisanal options, there was something to satisfy every craving. But the delights didn't stop there. The inclusion of donburi was a fantastic and unexpected bonus, adding an exciting dimension to the morning spread. It was expertly prepared and incredibly flavorful, making for a truly satisfying start to the day.||||Beyond the delightful breakfast, the room itself offered a lot to love. The bed was wonderfully large, providing ample space for a comfortable night's sleep, and the room felt genuinely spacious, which was a real plus.||||However, there was one significant issue that impacted our comfort: the air conditioning and air circulation system blew a bit too strongly. Unfortunately, this resulted in a cold, excessively drafty environment during the night. Lying in that constant, cold breeze while trying to sleep was quite disruptive, and I've since developed a cold with intense sneezing fits, which I can only attribute to this issue.||||This extensive and high-quality breakfast, along with the generous room and bed size, were definite highlights. However, the overly strong and unadjustable air circulation was a notable drawback that affected our comfort and health.

We really enjoyed our 5 nights at the Hobo Hotel. The location is perfect. It is a very short walk from the train station. We walked EVERYWHERE from the hotel. The outdoor seating area out front is lively and nice. The hotel staff is great--they were welcoming and eager to help. The highlight of the hotel for me was the breakfast. The views from the breakfast room were great and the food was delicious. The breakfast room staff were very accommodating and there is a wide variety of food to choose from. I loved the green smoothies and drank them daily. |The lobby/bar area is fine but we did not really spend time there. Our room was comfortable. We had a very comfortable and large (king sized?) bed. The shower was great. We had enough space to hang up clothes, a desk, chair, etc. The room was practical and comfortable. |The free downstairs laundry room was an added bonus for us. It was nice to be able to wash and dry clothes while traveling. |I would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Stockholm and I already miss the breakfast.

So cool here. Lovely staff. The beds were so comfy! Needs tea and coffee making facilities in the room though. Have to go down to reception to grab a morning coffee.

A wonderful Hotel. All of the hotel staff incredibly friendly and helpful. I arrived early and my room wasn't ready. They offered huge storage lockers, free of charge. I was also pleasantly surprised to find they had a free, public use washer and dryer for those of us who have been traveling for a while. The rooms were small, but incredibly clean and efficient. I had a 'inside room' so it took a while to get used to not having a window. I would absolutely stay here again.

Yelp
One of my favorite hotels in the world! In an area full of food, shopping, and transit that gets you here and there, the rooms are exceptional.

Yelp
Wonderful location--very close to the train station (5-blocks walkable). Rooms are super clean and different in their layout. Staff is great/super friendly and helpful too! The only small downside is no in-room refrigerator but they have a great bar downstairs that has a massive selection of drinks with fun bartenders!

Yelp
This hotel was perfect for the Stockholm experience. It's located RIGHT next to an amazing burger place/mall area that includes a Joe + The Juice so food options are aplenty. The room was clean and organized in such a way that even though it was smaller, it felt more spacious. We had a little view of the city. The bed was comfortable and everyone was very nice.

Yelp
Hobo was a boutique hotel I found when booking my trip in Stockholm and I was really excited to stay here based on photos I'd seen online. My overall stay was pretty flawless except my check-in. I arrived around 3:45pm and had to wait over an hour to get a room (check in says 3pm). They did comp me a free breakfast for the inconvenience though, so that was nice. There are little details about this hotel that I loved. For instance, each elevator had a unique design inside, so it was like a game to see which design you'd get (how come most hotels don't do this??). Also, they had a photo booth in the lobby. Inside the room there is a peg board where they swap out things daily that you can use. For instance, there was a Pocket Operator, which is essentially a beat maker. There are also film cameras (both SLRs and Polaroids) you can rent during your stay, which is super fun and cool if you don't already have tour own. As for my room and bed, it was comfy and perfectly sized for my short stay. The bathroom was a bit small but definitely manageable. The breakfast I had was a good spread of breakfast usuals . I think the price to pay is around $10-$11 USD and it would be worth it if you're someone who likes to fuel up at the hotel first thing. Should I find myself in Stockholm again (which I do hope) I would definitely book a stay here again in a heartbeat.

Yelp
This place is very kooky and hipster. It has fun prints, plants, and retro decor (e.g. old fashioned typewriters and phones). We chose not to eat at their restaurant, as the menu is entirely vegan and vegetarian to fit in with their sustainability theme. I came to Stockholm to indulge in seafood and Swedish meatballs, so this was not for me. Rooms are microscopic, which my husband and I are pretty used to at this point, having spent a lot of time traveling Europe on a budget. However, our room didn't have windows, and this wasn't advertised anywhere! We would have definitely paid a little more money for some natural vitamin D and the ability to wake up in the morning without feeling like disoriented zombies. Since they're all about sustainable living, they only clean your room if you hang a sign on your door. I respect that, but we hung up the sign, and they didn't clean our room. It wasn't a huge deal. We were just annoyed that we had to request clean towels so we could shower. Nonetheless Hobo is a decent budget friendly hotel in a super central location. We were able to walk to all of the attractions in Stockholm.

Yelp
Pretty funky decor inside a hotel in Stockholm's business district. Excellent fish dishes. Cod was delicious.

Yelp
Outstanding boutique hotel. Very clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Free laundromat inn the basement. Which is great if you are traveling for awhile. We had a room on an upper floor with a view of the square in front of the hotel. Very quiet room. The WiFi is complimentary and very fast. This hotel is easy walking distance to everything orbit the tram.

Yelp
Hobo Hotel was our home base during our two days in Stockholm. I was a little hesitant at first to book a hotel called "Hobo" but accommodations in Stockholm are expensive and this was by far the best option when we factored in price, location, quality, and style. And by style, I mean this place is hipster heaven. We stayed Saturday - Monday but ended up booking the two nights separately because there was a funky "Popcorn Sundays" promotion which enabled us to get free breakfast for 2, late checkout, 2 movie tickets, and a bag of popcorn for a very reduced price if we stayed on Sundays. This promotion didn't pop up when I looked up Saturday night alone. The rooms are pretty small but they work. I liked that Hobo has free lockers to use if you need to store your bags somewhere before or after checkout. The location was fantastic and we could pretty much walk to everywhere we wanted to go. And the free breakfast that came with our promotion? It was a bountiful buffet that we all enjoyed.

Yelp
Hobo was trying so hard to be hip and funky they forgot to provide decent service. We stayed in a mid tier room which was clean and well appointed. However the room lacked some basics and the service was poor. The room didn't provide basic amenities such as tissues, or a fridge to store drinks or medicine in. The soaps/shampoos/body-wash were empty on check in. We requested refills but this did not happen. On check in the staff were rude and sassy with my partner, and when asked about local parking and amenities, replied with unhelpful and judgemental comments about driving a car to Stockholm. Overall the experience was very underwhelming. Stockholm was an amazing city though, so we made the most of it. If Hobo spent as much time providing decent service as they do trying to sell their products in the lobby, they might attract return visitors.

Yelp
My review only concerns the restaurant & not the hotel. The restaurant has a great ambiance & a hipster vibe which you can feel already from outside. I went for lunch & they have dish of the day which was fish then. The presentation was over the top, the vegetables on my dish were flavored somehow really special that was tickling my taste buds & it was served on an out of this world purée. Amazing service, best high chair I've seen so far in Stockholm for babies & a very good bathroom/ changing table. The staff were very attentive even if this was their busy time of the day. Price was very fair considering what you get. I only wish their portions were a bit bigger, I wasn't quite full when I left but it's perfect if you are not used to big portions for lunch.will be back for sure!

Yelp
Fantastic location for the city-roamer, pleasant service from the awesome staff in all areas of this hotel (cool texting system vs. in room telephones), thoughtful/colorful lounge space & bar, creative use of storage space & design in rooms (I booked 3 Superior rooms & the view of Brunkebergstorg square was worth it). Filling & satisfying Breakfast, easy & quick check-in & out options. Gym-Photo booth-Bicycles on site. Will return, would recommend.

Yelp
If you understand what you are paying for, Hobo Hotel will definetely not dissappoint you: small rooms, limited (or no) view and a lot of self service. But also: fantastic design (same designer as Volkshotel in Amsterdam), friendly and authentic staff, awesome breakfast, great vibe and good facilities (fitness, laundry, etc.) this place is really a modern version of what a Best Western should be like in the 21st century. Recently had a business related stay here and it was more than worth the effort. Also, the location is fantastic truly.

Yelp
The hotel, staff, and morning spread were all great! I definitely recommend grabbing a bite before wanderings in that the food is fresh and delicious. The staff was really accommodating whether we needed help with postage, towels, or directions. The room was clean, minimalist, and quiet. The only reason for less than 5 stars was the shower water does kind of leak out on to the bathroom tile. Nothing a few towels didn't catch. Overall would love to return!

Yelp
Anton the bartender is a talent and the if you like arlo or any high concept design boutique hotel with an awesome staff and lifestyle amenities including bikes and a gym you will really enjoy your stay here. Fresh chia pudding among fresh squeezed juice is offered in the am and the cafe space is large a 2 levels including large work tables. I found it hard to leave locals even love the location there was a sweet baby shower taking place another plus to diversify not only a hipster clientele yet and incredibly international one. Note some rooms with discount rates may not have windows could be worth the 15 upgrade.

Yelp
The room is literally the size of the bed, and there are no windows in the room. If you're claustrophobic, this is your worst nightmare. Plus, they charge you a 10 euro service fee for room service.
google avatar

Yelp
This is an amazing hotel that truly has done well with every aspect of the room and overall experience. I see that a few people booked the small rooms and complained that there are no windows and very small: note that the hotel actually provides a description that mentions all that. Further, the hotel's bar/restaurant is excellent! Our stay came with free breakfast, and that was a delight in and of itself! Other than that, we also went to the bar: definitely one of the best experiences we had in Stockholm! Our bartenders Alice and George were experts at whipping truly delightful drinks. They also had us taste many of Sweden's spirits that we would not normally have known to try. Talking to them was certainly one of the highlights of our stay in Stockholm! Thank you for such a fantastic experience!

Yelp
This hotel is run by young "adults" which is what makes and ruins the hotel all at the same time. I felt extremely profiled against. My boyfriend and I don't look like cool hipster people and therefore we felt like we were not acknowledge because of it. We went sit at the bar one night next to all the hipsters and fancy businessmen and after 10 minutes the bar tender had walked past us multiple times looking right at us and not serving anyone at some points and still never offered us service. We went elsewhere for drinks. The bikes they have for rent weren't available because the locks were broken which I find pretty funny because I looked at them and they looked fine to me and there is a bike shop across the street. Go get new locks that's so simple to fix but nope bikes weren't available our entire 5 day stay. Our wifi wasn't working in our room at first and we went to the front desk to ask about it and the guy told us "ummm there isn't anything we can do about it." The location is fantastic though. If you have low expectations you might be ok here. But for the price I paid I expected a little more.

Yelp
Relatively new, construction nearby, run by millenials who may be "authentic" but don't understand hospitality (well to be fair, many of them were very nice but it only takes one with an attitude to ruin it for the rest). No coffee machines available in rooms, nor in lobby, so you need to purchase at breakfast buffet. But if one of the workers is late, there is still no coffee at all available at 6am (or earlier) and no one is even sorry about it. There is only one treadmill in the basement gym so if there is a selfish hipster working out on the treadmill for an hour, you are out of luck. Rooms are very compact and views may be of construction site next door. If you want your room cleaned, you need to leave a sign on door by 11am but that is no guarantee the maid will see it (she didn't on one of the three requested of the five nights we stayed). The Ace chain in the US has a similar vibe but better executed. Oh, and the doors don't click shut automatically so don't be surprised if you don't need to use your key to get back in (at least nothing was missing).
