The sushi was excellent! Fresh and tasty. We had all you can eat, but it was pricey. $170 for 3 people (plus 2 beers with tip and tax). The robot service is a cute gimmick but I wonder about the sanitary qualities of plate after plate being put on the 'reloading trays' of the robot. The tablet used to place your order, is it ever sanitized? Also, it was super busy, only 15 minute wait, but it was packed and quite noisy. They really need to do a better job cleaning as the floor was sticky where I was waiting and the plastic dividers between tables was not cleaned well. Sushi places are few and far between, if I was to go again, I would order a la carte and pick a less busy time than Friday before 6 pm!

Good service and plenty of seating. Food was okay the prices of maki are pretty big to eat. Sushimi quality was amazing really enjoyed the salmon Bubble tea not the best wouldn’t recommend

I haven't been here since at least 2018 ish if not longer. Been living in Toronto. Was driving by and thought I'd visit. Came here in a Saturday afternoon around 530. Sashimi was very ok. Could be fresher but not bad. Nigiri rice was a tad too wet. Rolls were good and kitchen items as well. Restaurant was half full and service was very fast. Liked that Overall a pretty standard sushi ayce experience. Nothing special but did not disappoint.

Google
Quite underwhelming experience. Overall reviews are good hence decided to order but was quite disappointed. Not terrible but not great either. Tried the maki set, the fishes were fresh and tasted great but anything that has cucumbers were complete let down. The cucumber pieces are cut so thick that you feel you're having a salad. And there was a role with only cucumber and rice, so that definitely was a salad. Service is nothing exceptional either. If you don't have any other options and have to have sushi then maybe go there, otherwise better to skip.

Google
Very kind and polite people providing great customer service experience. Excellent food, and fast service. Very clean interior, nicely decorated with paintings and colorful walls, with decent lightning. Peaceful, ambient music. Clean washrooms

Google
We order takeout from Hockey Sushi a few times a year, and it’s consistently excellent. They always get the order right, it’s always ready on time, and the food is consistently delicious. Their website makes ordering a breeze, with clear pictures of every menu item. Highly recommend it for sushi lovers!

Google
Good sushi in Kanata. The salmon and tuna are the best fishes they have and the portions are abundant. The white fish is tasteless, but is part of the tray.

Andre Zhang

Google
Great AYCE sushi experience. Food items are all fresh and tasty. Really impressed by the speed and accuracy of the service (they bring out what you order, none of the cutting the quantity in half nonsense). Menu has an impressive array of options.

Yelp
Read reviews prior, never thinking I would actually make it here. I did! Ok.. the robot thing is cool. I found ordering for the first time a bit complicated. I was with my friend who wanted the all u can eat for $50. Hmmm.. I never eat that much to ever do that but we both had to as we were at the same table... Sigh... Did that. Ordered a bunch. The menu is overwhelming! Never order more than you can handle as you don't want to pay for what you leave behind. That said this sushi was average. I have had much better. Service, average. Atmosphere, average. Parking lot is busy as spaced is shared for all strip mall businesses.

Yelp
This sushi is amazing! Always so fresh! Never go home hungry! Delicious food and lovely service!

Yelp
On Sunday night we were a group of 7 for dinner at Hockey Sushi. The service was fine, as was the cleanliness of the restaurant. Four of the seven people in our group suffered severe food poisoning that night and into the next day. When contacted, the manager seemed indifferent. After years of ordering takeout and dining in at this establishment, I will never go back.

Yelp
I love the variety of rolls they have . The lamb skewers are the best and the atmosphere is nice. Would recommend calling in advance to see how busy it is

Yelp
I had coworkers who would swear by this place, so I thought I'd finally try it for delivery. Of course, not all-you-can-eat for delivery, plus the pandemic. I wasn't expecting the best sushi ever because AYCE usually isn't always great quality. Some of it was great, some not so much, but I'm sure it would be on-par with other AYCE if we ate there. I won't describe every single item because we had a big order, but here's what we got: 1 B03 Salmon Sashimi (5pc) 1 B04 White Tuna Sashimi (5pc) 1 C06 Philadelphia Roll (8pc) 1 C14 Rainbow Roll (6pc) 1 C23 Spicy Tuna Roll (6pc) 1 E04 Steamed Shrimp Dumpling (4pc) 1 E05 Steamed Pork Dumpling (4pc) 1 F08 BBQ Chicken Yakitori (5pc) 1 F09 Cheese Wonton (6pc) 1 F12 Deep Fried Sesame Ball (4pc) 1 F15 Deep Fried Tofu (4pc) 1 F17 Pork Cutlet 1 F19 Crunchy Takoyaki (6pc) 1 H06 Salmon Belly (2pc) 2 Spicy Mayo 2oz 1 Diet Coke Some of the deep fried items weren't the crispiest, like the takoyaki, as expected with delivery and especially with sauce, but it was presented nicely and neatly and the taste wasn't bad. Out of the fried items, my favourites would have to be the sesame balls and I think the salmon belly was deep fried as well. The salmon belly was probably one of my favourite items overall because it was cooked perfectly and I don't know if they just messed up or what, but I definitely got more than two pieces. I was hoping the fried tofu was actually agedashi tofu, but it was just plain fried tofu haha. Maybe I was supposed to use one of the sauce containers that came with our order, but most of them were sweet other than the soy sauce, and I didn't feel like sweet tofu. The maki rolls were what pretty much you'd expect from an AYCE in terms of size and taste, though they were rolled better than I've seen at other AYCE restaurants. The salmon and white tuna sashimi slices, on the other hand, were bigger than I expected and tasted fresh. The steamed shrimp dumplings (har gow) and pork dumplings (shumai) were very small and too salty, particularly the shrimp har gow, which were also very starchy. I had some vinegar at home, which helped, but I would skip these next time. The whole meal was a pretty good value. All in all, not bad, but there are definitely some items that are more worth ordering a la carte from an AYCE than others.

Yelp
Over priced now and served me raw chicken and no apology as a robot brings your food but no one wants to take responsibility. Price went up quality and quanity went down.

Yelp
So during the pandemic this place closed for indoor dining for about the 2 years it offered only take outs. Finally last month they opened again for dine in. What's super cool is they have a robot serving food .. really fun! Service is nice some of them. For an all you can eat sushi is decent and fresh. Portions are reasonable. But price definitely went way up.. it's 35.99 plus tax all dya no more lunch pricing!

Yelp
A reasonable place to go, there are far better sushi restaurants out there. So, I'd say it's 'ok'. We put in 2 orders that we never did get. My only other issue was the fact that 'last call' is 1/2 an hour before they close - which we did not expect, getting there an hour before closing time. So, we didn't have 'all we could eat', because they shut us down.

Dylan D.

Yelp
Very good service with fresh fish, very good selection of food as well. Highly recommend the mango pudding, so good.

Yelp
The food is on point and the service is good you order on a tablet and they bring it out in less then 5 minutes I highly recommend the buffet

Yelp
My experience with Hockey Sushi was mediocre. The restaurant itself is spacious with modern renovations. Seated in semi-partitioned booths allow for privacy while keeping the open feeling. In my eyes, I would give the restaurant itself a 5/5 but the food is nothing to get excited about. Like most, All-You-Can-Eat restaurants, the quality of food could be much better. The food arrived with minutes of ordering which was concerning. The sushi rolls were clearly made quickly, making presentation poor. The restaurant relies on the use of imitation crab in its creations quite heavily. The seafood itself appeared to be fresh and good quality but the portion sizes could be larger. The spicy salmon is a joke, it's an abnormal pâté of salmon mixed with tempura flakes and spicy mayo. In the end, it's a hit and miss. I would recommend coming here for lunch on a work week. The food is definitely not worth the money at supper time. And please do not think about going here if you're taking your significant-other on a fancy date. I did not see any staff smile or make small talk at all with any customers. Though they were happy visit and joke amongst themselves. Mediocre

Yelp
Very good experience overall. We came for lunch and while that meant we weren't able to try some of the items on the menu, what was available was quite good. The fish was delicious and tasted very good. Everything was artfully prepared and well presented. Even the non-sushi items were really good and our large party left feeling full and satisfied. The service was friendly and fairly prompt too (which isn't always the case at ayce). The price for lunch was also quite good. While I've definitely had better, this was a solid choice and I would definitely go again if I was in the area.

Yelp
This place has amazing food. The kitty robot server was also great. Place is clean and well designed.

Yelp
Pretty average AYCE. I went for dinner, and their rolls are pretty fresh. My favourite was the volcano roll! Their sashimi was cut quite small, but it was fresh. And no upset stomach after, which is a plus! However, a lot of the items we ordered never came such as tempura and a few special dinner items (lamb skewers). We had to ask the waitress about it and then it came (wait was pretty long). There was no issue receiving all of the sushi we ordered. At the end, the bill was put on our table, but there were still lots of other tables eating and their bill was not on their table (plus the place had a lot of empty spots), so not sure why we were rushed... I would say my favourite all you can eat was back when Fusion house on Bank st was still open as their quality of sushi and dim sum was really good! I would go back here, but just be mindful of the wait for some items.

Yelp
Oily sushi. Disgusting ! It was quite hard to swallow a maki that is full of grease. This was 30$ buffet. The green tea is far from a tea and is mostly boiling water. Avoid going here. They have okay sashimis though.

Yelp
I went here recently with a friend for lunch and was so pleased to find an AYCE sushi spot in Ottawa that is really decent. I returned again a couple weeks later to purchase some a-la-carte sushi to-go and was equally impressed. The food tasted fresh, the service was decent (even though this little restaurant is usually SUPER busy) and I really enjoyed the selection. Ordering is simple with the menu sheet - just write the desired quantity beside each item you want, and you can snap a photo of the order before submitting to make sure you get all the items you have ordered before potentially submitting a second request. I also like that the lunch and dinner menu items are written in different colours so that you can easily see your options. I am looking forward to returning to this little location for lunch or dinner. Standard sushi costs apply: weekdays are cheaper than weekends and lunch is cheaper than dinner (but you have fewer options). Pro Tip: if you want to go out for lunch with colleagues on a Friday, get there EARLY - 11:30. It fills up FAST, as does the parking lot. Enjoy!

Yelp
This place is in my opinion one of the best all you can eat sushi places in Ottawa. Whether you want sushi or just to eat 50 chicken skewers, they will have an option for you. Some of my personal favorites are the crazy chicken, chicken skewers, spicy tuna rolls and any of the regular sushi. Definitely go for their dinner menu, the dinner options have that little bit more for a reasonable price.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty good sushi for Ottawa! We enjoyed our larger group dinner here, with a wide selection of sushi and good sake. Service wasn't terribly speedy, but the restaurant was busy. However, I would come here again!

Yelp
I had dinner with my family at Hockey sushi. I must say that this location is sub standard to say the least. We order a little bit of Sashimi but it was frozen when they serve us. The salmon taste really bad. In addition to not been able to eat this horrible food they force us to paid an additional $5.00 because we could not eat it!!!! This is not a place that I will be returning due to their substandard quality and poor customer service. !!!!!!!NOT A PLACE TO EAT SASHIMI!!!
google avatar

B F.

Yelp
Been to this place several times now and I can confidently say this is my favourite all you can eat sushi place. Service is fast and staff are helpful. Food is really good and their presentation is decent. It's usually packed on weekends so try to make a reservation before going there.

Yelp
Been coming here with my family for years. The quality of the food is consistent and service is also reliable/friendly. We always get the teriyaki eggplant and my mom orders several servings of fried salmon neck/belly (for the omega-3s, of course). The recently introduced a full teriyaki squid which is also delicious! Can't speak much on the rolls as we don't usually order many, but the sashimi is pretty fresh. My one comment/suggestion would be for them to fix their leather chairs - it get's really uncomfortable trying to avoid sitting on cracked leather for two hours.
google avatar

Chloe K.

Yelp
I loved this place! The restaurant itself is so well decorated and so clean. The sushi is delicious! I thought I already had a favourite sushi spot but after coming here, I'm thinking this might be my new favourite. The TVs had the hockey game when I was there which was great because my boyfriend didn't want to miss the game lol. I definitely recommend this place. It wasn't too busy when I went but I'm sure it's busier during lunch hours. That being said, there's a lot of tables so I I imagine you wouldn't have to wait for a table most of the time.

Yelp
I was at Hockey Sushi the other night. It was decent...but there was one big problem... We were seated right away, at what looked like the only available table. There were staff EVERYWHERE...but not all on the same page. Drinks came quickly, food not so much. We had questions about the ordering system (a piece of perforated paper that you have to check off what you want) but the server who "helped" us..couldn't really articulate the answer....at least not to my understanding... The food we ordered came one by one, slowly. The seaweed wrap on the hand rolls were so thick I couldn't bite through it, neither could my date ;) we actually had to unroll them on our TINY plates and scoop out the innards with the chop sticks...which as you can imagine was quite difficult... The actual food was delish, but we had to steal the plates that came with the food because the plates they have for you are so small you can't even fit a hand roll on it...maki rolls had pretty small pieces, I was kind of surprised...Actually the smallest sushi I've ever eaten. For the most part we got our food in the sequence we ordered it, except for dessert! They gave us our ice cream before we got the last of our sushi.... Also, we couldn't figure out who was serving us specifically because we had about 5 different people come and check on us, asking if we ordered 20 pieces of sashimi (which we didnt), one brought us drinks, one brought something else, another something else, the manager (?) came to check on us at one point, we asked him if we had any more food coming, he said he would check, but never came back...and we didn't...but we couldn't be sure ourselves because not one of the servers told us what was what when it was brought to the table. And really, I can't tell one piece of rice wrapped fish from the next... The big problem... They were trying to solicit good reviews! They offer a 15% discount for a good review of 140 characters or more. Or 10% off if you 'like' the restaurant. I was morally and ethically unable to even think about writing a review at the time. The whole experience was tainted because of the sign at every table asking people on Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Urban Spoon to give them a good review. It really made me feel better when I got up on their Yelp page, people are not giving in to get the discount! Yay Yelpers! Love you all!

Yelp
How do you kick off the perfect girls night? With Hockey Sushi of course! Despite living across town, when the girls want sushi this is the place to come. The service here is great, and the sushi is always fresh and delicious. My absolute favorites are the red dragon, rainbow and dynamite rolls. Did I mention they have T.V.s? Unlike any other sushi spot in town, you can watch the game while you eat. Kinda cool, if you don't want to cook and your boyfriend has a short attention span or his favorite team made the playoffs. Regardless of what gets you in the door, I guarantee it won't be your last visit. Maybe I'll see ya there!
google avatar

Yelp
I think the AYCE sushi places in Ottawa have all fallen to 2-3 stars places. It's really disappointing. We came for sushi at Hockey Sushi on a Sunday evening. It wasn't too busy nor completely dead. There are TVs around and that night they were playing a Nascar race. The service wait time was standard. When we talked to the waitress we had no idea if she understood anything we were saying. When we asked for salmon sashimi, we got very small amounts. The rolls were good though, not too much rice unlike other places. It's not a bad location so we may return, but it's pretty average, like most other places in the city.

Yelp
A few of my friends wanted to go for lunch and I decided to tag along as I agreed we'd head out the day before. Part of me was hoping that they would be better, the other part of me was more realistic. We arrived and the place was not that busy. - Sat down at 11:45am - Order went in at 11:50pm - 1 chicken teriyaki arrived at 12:18pm - Tea arrived at 12:20pm - Some tempura around 12:30pm - First batch of sushi around 12:50pm - Second batch of sushi around 1:20pm - Did not receive remaining sushi and other misc items - Decided to leave as we were approaching 2 hours for lunch. Service has not changed and some how I had greasy sushi for the first time. Hire more staff will you!

Yelp
Bestfriend and I just finished shopping in Kanata and were looking for a quick bite to eat. Used the yelp! app to find us a sushi joint. It directed us to hockey sushi. That was over a year ago. We both live in the east end and continue to come all the way to the west end for this sushi. We love that the sushi is always fresh and they don't use an exorbitant amount of rice in any of their rolls. I can definitely say that hockey sushi is one of our favorite restaurants. The staff is typically friendly... Service isn't the quicker however, my best friend and I are not ever in a rush so it doesn't matter. Regardless, it's a professional environment. Staff is well dressed and the establishment is always clean. I would definitely recommend Hockey Sushi to anyone... As long as you aren't in a rush and want to enjoy some good sushi! Cheers!

Yelp
Best all you can eat place around, go there all the time. Sushi always tastes great and the service is decent.

Hak T.

Yelp
We came here when they first opened and found the service and food great and deemed this place one of the better places for all you can eat sushi in Ottawa. For unknown reasons this place has gone down hill when it comes to service. Food is taking way too long to come out and it's almost as though they're doing it on purpose. Also take note of the picture I uploaded, not once during our entire time eating did they clear 1 single plate off our table. After waiting 30 minutes we had to re-order only to wait another 15 minutes for our food. This place is hit or miss. If you get a hit you'll be satisfied, if you get the miss you'll be extremely annoyed like we were on our last visit.
google avatar

Brian T.

Yelp
As of July 29, 2016 they are reopened Great food and great price I would suggest that those who give it less than 4 stars are competitors trying to slam them...its great....they were missed while closed....our work goes there several times a month for all you can eat suishi
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
We've come here a few times for the all you can eat sushi and sometimes they'll forget something you ordered but for the most part, if you stay away from the peak hours, everything is all good. Service isn't the greatest but we really just come here to eat tons and tons of sushi anyways. The quality is okay, not the best but not the worst. We've recently taken to getting the take out. We end up spending less and the sushi is just as good anyways. They usually have it all prepared too by the time we get there. Definitely check out the take out menu if you feel like a nice in.
google avatar

Victoria C.

Yelp
This is probably the worse sushi experience for me of all time! We have just moved to the neighbourhood and I wanted to try this place out. First of, the moment we walked in the floors felt sticky. The variety was poor for a dinner menu and sushi was over loaded with rice. We ordered maybe 8-10 dishes between 2 people and stayed maybe 30 mins. The manager came by to clear our plates, looked at the left over rice and told us that next time "we should order less". Terrible, just terrible experience. Regrettable, there won't be a next time!
google avatar

Nisha D.

Yelp
Worst sushi I've ever had without question. Blech. Stale food & smells like pee and the waitress felt some type of way about the leftovers. If this is the 4 star type sushi that ppl are saying it is, then in your reality tiki Ming is delicious and edible, McDonalds value menu doesn't attract the freaks and Gwenyth Paltrow isn't smug at all. All these things impossible by universal law I had to waste a diaper storing uneaten rolls so that we wouldn't have to pay extra. THATs how bad the food was. The kimchi smelled like butt funk. The teriyaki beef looked really weird. I'm not trying to be rude. I'm being so real w u right now hockey sushi. Damn well know that crispy roll wasn't crispy. -5 stars

John W.

Yelp
One of the better AYCE places in Ottawa despite being a little out of the way. Prices are reasonable and they have a standard points program that amounts to roughly 1 in 10 free, but points accrue towards either lunch or dinner. The quality here is consistently good, but there are always off days at AYCE places so I would say 4 out of 5 times you go here it will be great. Their fried goods, sashimi, nigiri and maki are typically all well done and there's a good selection of all of them for both lunch and dinner. We haven't had anything from the menu that was not good. The staff is usually friendly from host(ess) to service, though I had one gentleman that was very rude when paying insisting there were more in my party than were there. To the point where I had to wait for him to check the camera after he argued with me. Nevertheless, the issue hasn't come up again so I continue to go.

Gordon O.

Yelp
Prices just went up by as much as 125% so I won't be coming back. I was a regular customer but they lost me by hiking the prices with no warning. They were an average place and the prices matched by now its way over priced.
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
Honestly it's the worst sushi I've ever had. I had to put a bunch of it in my pocket and flush it in the washroom. Bland. Greasy. Nasty food. There isn't a smile on the faces of any of the waitstaff. I'm just heading home now and I'm debating on whether or not to make myself sick. Skip this place. *just read all the other 1 star reviews on here now that I'm home...and I'm not the only one who said "greasy" when describing their food. How can sushi be greasy you are wondering? Exactly. How the hell can sushi be greasy? I've never had spicy salmon rolls that were dripping in grease...until today. I'm still burping up that nasty meal 3 hours later. Yuch.

Yelp
Really, Canada!?!? Can you be any more stereotypical, eh?? Everything has got to be aboot hockey, eh? Even sushi!?! Yep!! Ok, serious review time: Besides the fact that this restaurant is in Canada, the Land of Hockey, there's nothing really "hockey" about this place. It doesn't matter that they made up a dish and called it a hockey roll. Anyway, this place does a huge lunch business and the parking lot is always packed. All you can eat, for around $20... not a bad deal. Especially compared to the expensive Thai place next door! But the weird thing about this place is that it's not like an all-you-can-eat *buffet* where you pick up all the food yourself... instead, you have to mark on the order-pad which items that you like, give it to the wait staff, and patiently await for your orders to arrive in a piecemeal fashion. (See Coy W's review). The service was not out to help in my quest to eat all that I can. The food was certainly good. Not the best Japanese food I've had, nor the cheapest, but hey, it's probably the best sushi in Kanata! BONUS TIP: They have an expanded menu for dinner (or a restricted lunch menu, depending on your perspective). Thanks to the name, though, this place gets free advertisement to all my friends back home... "Yup, everything in Canada revolves around hockey; they even have this sushi place called Hockey Sushi! ... (etc and so on and so forth)," I tell them.

Porsha H.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my experience here. The service was fast and friendly. I was able to order a ton of salmon sashimi for the AYCE price of $25.99 for dinner. Which I was not mad about. The fish was fresh and very tasty. Plus their spicy mayo here is on point! Bummer I don't live in Ottawa!

Yelp
Service is a hit or miss at this place. It literally depends on now busy it is. But the food is always good. Fresh and well prepared. The restaurant is always clean and the staff are professionally dressed. Sometimes they miss an order, but if you think about how busy they can get and how many orders are going to and out of the kitchen, you gotta give those poor people a break. They work 7 days a week - 12 hour days. And its all you can eat, so if something doesn't come, just order it again. Easy as pie.

Yelp
I'm at my table right now. Waiting. And waiting. And waiting. I ordered half a dozen items to start. Nothing major but enough for a quick lunch. They arrived quickly enough. Well, some of them did. Okay, I received half of what I ordered. So I filled out another sheet and sent it to the kitchen with different items. Same thing happened... They completely ignored half of the order and the rest took 30 minutes to arrive. I've now had a very small, very expensive lunch. I sent in another sheet for three hand rolls. Who knows how long it will take? If I'm going to spend this much on lunch I want to at least leave satisfied. Oh, and the food? I don't know how it's possible that the dumplings are both oily and dry. They're not crispy in the deep-fried way, they're crispy in the freezer burnt kind of way. And the squirt of wasabi in the dish is actually hard and brown at the top. It's obviously been sitting on a prep tray in the open air for a few hours now. Possibly longer. I won't be coming back.

Yelp
You wouldn't believe the excitement I experienced after finding out a sushi place was opening near my house. I quickly dragged my family and any friend I could find to hit up an 'All You Can Eat' place for sushi. The experiences were disappointing and sometimes the service was so bad, it was simply embarrassing. Service is an issue I seem to run into problems with every time I go to sushi places. The service here is not great. Problems ranged from screwing up orders (multiple times, during multiple visits, with multiple waiters), to servers forgetting about us, or just service that wasn't friendly. I can think of at least one occasion where the order for something (gyozas come to mind), where it took so long for the meal to arrive that we weren't sure whether to re-order it. Then re-order it, get extras, and find that it's cold after all. The rolls were bland, and not all the rolls are available during the lunch period. This means that chances are your favourite roll won't even be available. And since the ingredients aren't even that fresh or tasty, I'm not sure it's even worth going during lunch. Although the price is pretty fair. All and all, this was a pretty disappointing place for me.

Yelp
I have been to hockey sushi for both the lunch and dinner buffets. Both times I left satisfied, but nothing out of the ordinary. The food was good, the atmosphere was good, and it was kept clean. The service did not excel my expectations but it was average. The dinner buffet can get quite pricy so make sure you are hungry if you do come at dinner time!. Overall, being one of the only sushi places in Kanata, I would recommend this location to a friend.

Yelp
I've had dinner here several times in the past few months and have never once been disappointed. The highlight was just this past Friday. I was there with group of approx. 20 people. There were four groups of people submitting different cards. I was really impressed with how well the staff kept all of our orders organized and the food going to the right group of people! It was also super fast! I couldn't believe how quickly our food appeared! I had a not-so-hot experience last week with a different sushi place - our order took forever to come out... so I was really happy when a huge plate of rolls was at our table within 10 mins of ordering it. The rolls are delish - I always order veggie rolls...and the mango-sweet potato rolls are one of my favs. I'll be going back for sure.

Yelp
The all you can eat sushi experience here is excellent. We have enjoyed most of the items in their menu and have been for lunch and dinner. At lunch you pay less but sashimi (along with other things) is not available to order at this time. The dinner experience is always delicious and the rolls are good (not amazing) but they satisfy an all you can eat sushi craving! Love the grilled eggplant and sashimi and anything tempura mm. Seems like a nice clean good quality restaurant.

Yelp
I am still a big fan of the food at Hockey Sushi (the food is consistently good, fresh and well prepared). I am writing this update to comment on the cleanliness of the restaurant. Sorry Hockey Sushi but you need to get out your rubber gloves and give the place a good dust and scrub. In my most recent visits I have noticed sticky floors, black flies and your front area in particular is gross (the front desk and the front bar area where take out is ordered and picked up) everything is filthy, the bar, mirror and bar glasses are dusty, there are cobwebs, a dusty Xmas tree, flyers and other stuff all over the counter. I think some stuff that should be in storage is also sitting in this area. Gross - needs a good clean and soon. Please don't ruin your good food and reputation by getting lazy on the housekeeping. Sloppy restaurant standards in the public areas make your customers wonder what we can't see behind the closed door, like in the kitchen...

Yelp
Had the tiniest pieces of sushi and sashimi on a take-out party platter I ordered a few days ago. Rice was dry and sushi was stale. This wasn't a one time thing either - have been here (reluctantly) many times for lunch with work and the service/quality has always been sub-par. Do not recommend.

Yelp
So credit where credit's due: After a long break from this place, I've been back a couple times and have found the service to be very much improved. They're more attentive and friendly now. So maybe they've changed their tune? The food is still as meh, but they've updated their menu at least. The Philadelphia roll (with cream cheese) is good! See my original review for the full deets. Still three stars, but a higher three now, I guess.

Yelp
Been there for a lot of times. Reasonable price for reasonable food. Good choice for a casual family meeting if you don't want to cook :)
