What a great place for lunch or dinner. We stopped in here for dinner. The pizza and salad were fantastic! The best part was the flight tasting and the outdoor patio. They have a great space with a large gas fire pit. It was awesome sitting with a drink by the fire pit on a cool evening. I would definitely recommend this place to have a bit to eat.

Google
Excellent local winery, great service. We had 2 different 6 flights of 6 different wines and there were all excellent. Great frozen wine also. Beautiful outdoor patio with heaters and a large fire-pit. Very reasonable priced food. Had a very large Caesar salad and pizza. Definitely stop if you are in the area.

Google
If you are down in Hocking this is a must! They have a great space, and amazing service. Our waitress Rachel was amazing. She had a great helpful attitude. She explained the menu and answered any questions we had. She even went outside in the cold to grab a propane tank to hookup an additional heater for our table. If you are here you need to request her seriously! The wine is great! The meat and cheese trays and pizza are also great. I was very satisfied in every capacity.

Janine Kowalke

Google
Lovely patio and restaurant vibe where you can try the wine and also order a pizza or charcuterie board. The wine was very good, we tried the sweet whites and also sweet red. All decent. Went home with four bottles. Pet friendly outside tables. Charcuterie board was average

Angie Cyr

Google
Visited the winery after a full day of hiking KYLE our waiter was so cool and very helpful in giving advise on local things to do, and the pizza was very good considering coming from Detroit style pizza the thin crust was perfect, we ordered a flight and the slushys were amazing the peach one is a must try!!! Would go back when in the area.

Google
Nice size winery catering to its patrons either indoors or outside in their comfortable seating. Outside seating seems to be popular. I ordered their Pink Lemonade Wine Slushy which hit the spot after walking two trails. Limited food options. Service was friendly and professional. Pet friendly. You may see the local cat roaming near the restaurant. Nice crowd. You can use your modern devices to place your order, and and pay by phone service for your cocktails and food. As your drive in you will notice their eye-catching grape vines as you enter the parking area of the winery. Parking space in front of the restaurant. Decent prices.

Google
Dog friendly patio, total plus! This pizza was the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had! Our server was fantastic, plus she brought my pup a giant water dish. He liked being able to greet the other dogs while the humans ate and drank. The wine was yummy as well. I bought a few bottles for home.

Google
Amazing experience. Fantastic wines and service. 10/10 highly recommend and would 100% visit again.

Ardell H.

Yelp
I love this place. And I don't drink. So I can't tell you whether or not the wine is any good, but I can say that their pizzas and apps are top notch, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff is friendly and gracious and will see to it that your visit is stellar. They also have their own feline ambassador.

Cassandra R.

Yelp
Stopped in on a Friday night with a large group. Of note they don't have great patio seating near heaters for big groups, so if stopping in cooler weather expect to sit inside. The waiter was attentive and enthusiastic. The wine itself isn't great. I got the flight - which I would recommend so you don't get stuck with a full glass or bottle you don't enjoy. The pizza however was delicious! Thin crust, and several fun topping options. Definitely the star of the night. Overall, not a bad stop but if you're in a large group don't expect patio vibes, and don't expect to go and LOVE the wine.

Yelp
God, how I love the Hocking Hills Winery. Don't be put off by the basic decor, this winery has fantastic wines at a great price, and great options for those who are the farthest thing from wine aficionados (I'm talking about myself). I opted for a wine flight, which has 4 or 6 samples of wines in a fun wine carousel, and opted for two wine slushies (yes--SLUSHIES, of which the peach and raspberry flavors are excellent), as well as four of their sweeter wines. Beyond their selection being extensive, local, AND delicious, this winery does everyone a favor by listing out the flavor notes for each wine. It helped me pick out a delicious wine that was described as tasting like raspberry jam, and by golly, it did. I also thoroughly enjoyed their Cheese Lover's Delight AND Explorer Board, both of which had an amazing assortment of cheeses, meats, crackers, and jam; charcuterie and wine--what more could a girl want? Hocking Hills Winery is a diamond in the rough.

Morgan H.

Yelp
Okay winery snobbish atmosphere. I've been to better and I'm a wine snob. Wines nothing really stood out to me.

Leslie A.

Yelp
The views are fantastic The wines ..... not so great We drove FAR to get here bc of the reviews and I wouldn't do it again All the wines have a weird back taste. We have many many many wineries to choose from and we wanted to love it here, but we don't.

Debbie O.

Yelp
Peach slushy was very good. we had the arugula prosciutto pizza with pesto and blue cheese with hot honey. Very good. We also had a cheese plate the Explorer good choices..

Amanda S.

Yelp
Ended a weekend getaway with wine flights at Hocking Hills Winery. Was very impressed with their selection and variety of different wines. The Ohio Pinot noir ended up being my favorite. The honeysuckle was a pleasant surprise as well. All of the wines were very smooth and fragrant. The outdoor patio was lovely.

Alissa M.

Yelp
10/10 for vibes, pizza, and service. Honestly anyone that puts pickles on a pizza is in with me. Our waiter was an absolute gem, such a sweet human, and the ambiance was unbeatable. It's also a dog friendly facility so I got to bring my fur baby & you gotta love that. Could some of the wines have been better? Probably. But everything else about this place made it more than worth visiting.

Ces C.

Yelp
Stoped by to try their wine flights. We did a dry red and a white. They were okay. We sat by the fireplace and ordered a charcuterie plate. Not a busy Saturday, they had live music in the covered patio. Server was friendly & knowledgeable and made suggestions with the wines.

Russel Y.

Yelp
This location has a lovely location and great relaxed winery ambiance. The waitstaff is knowledgeable and friendly and the prices are ok...not a bargain but not terrible. However, the pizzas (which is much of the menu) are only ok and maybe a little pricey for what you get. The wine can be purchased in flights that are also reasonably priced...but I haven't found any that really stand out...of course that is my palate, you may find some you love. All in all it's worth the visit.

Janet M.

Yelp
Great lunch option!! We had shared salad and a charcuterie board along with flights of wine. The place was busy but staff were on it. Our waitress Katie was very friendly, she answered all our questions about the wine and even offered of some suggestions for things to do in the area. 10/10 - recommend and look forward to a return visit.

Alli K.

Yelp
Lovely property, friendly people, ample parking, and loved the covered patio. The history of the place is pretty cool too. The wines were just ok, but I think decent for the area! The flights were fun to get to try a few options. Very reasonably priced.

Sonja H.

Yelp
Went 2 days in a row while visiting. Wine was great and so was the food. Live entertainment the 2nd night and Breanna, our server was amazing.

Eowyn K.

Yelp
We stopped by Hocking Hills Winery after a morning of hiking in Hocking Hills State park. It was definitely worth a visit. They have a good amount of seating inside, but an even more extensive seating outside, lovely on a fall day. We really liked the fire pit area. They also allow dogs outside. Of the wineries we went to in the area, I liked their wine the best. I'm not into sweet wine, which is what the area is known for, but found a couple I liked. The friends I was with like sweeter wine and they found several they really liked. They also have snacks/charcuterie boards. The service was good as well, friendly even though they seemed quite busy and possibly under staffed.

Amanda W.

Yelp
Really cool winery. Our kids love the outdoor area. And their kitty cats. Prices were a little expensive for food, but the wine was good.

Marci P.

Yelp
Stopped here for a wine tasting and took a few bottles home. Sat in the outside area which has some heaters. We enjoyed the variety of wines and our kids enjoyed the kids taste of grape juice. We will be back on our next trip to Hocking Hills!

Mark D.

Yelp
Great start to a weekend in Hocking Hills. Katie is a great server and the wines were great!

Michaela S.

Yelp
This is a cute little winery tucked away in Hocking Hills! We both did the 6 wine flight and got one of their dip boards (forgot to take a picture). We were seated quickly, and the service was great! They even had live music! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a nice, calm environment to relax in!

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Really lovely winery, in a beautiful setting. On a Sunday, we stopped in and enjoyed a house made wine (Vidal) and a locally brewed beer. We were traveling through, and decided to snack on hummus and pita as well which were very good. I loved that my dog was allowed in the outside area, and that there was a local musician playing (Megan Bee)

Gary W.

Yelp
We spent a nice and relaxing evening at this winery. They have a great outdoor space with different seating options and small stage where a musician performed. They offer flights of their various wines to sample which were very good. What was a pleasant surprise is they are now offering pizza which was very good. We ordered the Mediterranean one which had feta, Kalamata olives and red onions. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and was very friendly. Highly recommend.

Brad H.

Yelp
Great winery. They have space indoors, outdoor seating, a covered area with a fireplace and numerous gas heaters, plus a patio with water features. We did a flight with 6 wines. All were good. We like dry whites and bold reds. They were all good. Many were award winning with a few having picked up some impressive medals. We picked up 4 bottles including the last two Pinot Noirs they had. They grow most of their grapes which is pretty rare. The food looked delicious, but we had just eaten. Maybe later. For a small family owned winery it exceeded our expectations.

Jenni H.

Yelp
Beautiful spot; beautiful scenery. Would come back, I'm sure. This is what I call an 'experience winery.' It seems the more money that is poured in to the property the less attention that is paid to the wine. Location.......awesome. Wine: meh. I'm sure this place draws in a nice crowd, music on the weekends, etc. Always support local Ohio wineries.

Emma D.

Yelp
Came here with our big bachelorette group. They were super accommodating for a big party (since they don't take reservations) and they were able to seat almost right away. Our waitress was great with splitting everything between everyone (we had split 2 charcuterie boards) the wine is pretty good! I had a six glass wine flight for 15$, it was nice to try a good mix of things. I highly recommend the wine slushees if you don't really like wine! The raspberry & the peach ones were my favorite. I also tried one of the red blends, the sirah, the Pinot Grigio & one of the sweeter moscato wines. My favorite was the sirah! Also they had live music on the weekends which was a great addition to the atmosphere. They have two cats that wander around and greet everything so we also had fun with that. (Their names are cheddar & sirah )

Tonya S.

Yelp
On a beautiful day the patio at Hocking Hills Winery is the place to be. The general atmosphere combined with the natural beauty of the area makes it an absolute TO-DO if you're in town. Our server was very helpful and patient with us as we decided on what wines to choose for our flights. I'm not a big fan of red wine but I chose a couple that sounded intriguing and I was really pleased with all six of my selections. Along with the charcuterie we ordered, everything was really impressive. On the day we visited there was live music which only made the experience that much better. Their patio is also pet friendly so I got to pet a couple good boys while we were there too. All in all a really great experience!

Jess A.

Yelp
Cute little place, will definitely go back. Loved the moscato, peach slushy and charcuterie tray. The had the cutest truffles too!

Paul F.

Yelp
Buffalo Chicken Pizza absolutely never again. Peach slushy is much too sugary. Prices are too high. The place was slow but they sat us next to the cat box. It was unclean, unhealthy, and sickening.

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
Great winery. Spacious inside and around. We arrived and was waited on and provided a table. They have food and wine. We did a sampling of several wines. The red blends were terrific. Service was prompt and welcoming. Wines were good. I love the names as they are of local places. Recommend this winery

Beth O.

Yelp
This is a lovely winery and an unexpected surprise on a girls trip to Hocking Hills. Most of our group enjoy wine and there was something for everyone, regardless of if you're a white or red drinker. The cost for a flight was extremely reasonable especially compared to other wineries I have been to (when comparing to something local-ish: Traverse City, northern Michigan). We each did a flight of 6 and then one glass of wine. Like everywhere right now, staff seemed tight but there was never a point that I felt we waited for very long and frankly, I don't think you should ever rush a wine tasting. There are a handful of charcuterie boards but they're a bit basic, so be prepared for that. But, cheese and crackers hit the spot with a wine tasting. There was a BBQ truck in the parking lot but we didn't try it. I definitely would recommend going here if you're in the area.

Tonya E.

Yelp
After being referred here by 58 West Employees, we tried this spot- It was great! The winery itself is nestled in the woods and it's gorgeous, and quaint the food was great and the wine flights were fantastic. will be back on our next vacation

Tanner F.

Yelp
Best winery around. The food is amazing and so are the people here. The shareable salad is HUGE and AMAZING!! The prices are cheap compared to everywhere else. Pizza and wine are also A+

David J.

Yelp
Had to wait to be seated. It's not a seat yourself or walks up to the wine bar winery. Check-in with Hostess. Menu of mostly sweet wines, wine slushy's, and a few dry. Whites, Red and Fruit wines. You can get a flight of 4 or 6 to include the wine Slushes. Menu of different charcuterie boards. They allow you to bring in your food and snacks. They also during the weekend have a line of rotating food trucks. Seating inside and outside. Stage area for live bands. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Besides the checking-in aspect. The place had a laidback vibe along with a tree-side setting. BOLO for CATS!! The winery has a few outdoor cats that call the grounds home. Too cute!

Jordan N.

Yelp
I'm struggling with my star rating of this place. Would I come back again, absolutely. But I would come for the atmosphere and the grazing boards, not the wine. Okay, so the first time we tried to come here, we came at 7:32. We knew they were closing at 8:00, but we were just getting one glass and all the wine places near me in Cleveland have never turned me away. So we gave it a shot. NOPE. They refused to serve us because last call was at 7:30. It was no joke, 7:32. But okay. Rules are rules, I guess. I asked if we could just sit outside by the fire place, since we drove all the way here. She snottily said we could, but told us we had to leave when they close, in a condescending tone. Oh really? We couldn't sleep there overnight lol The outdoor atmosphere is absolutely amazing though, which is the literal only reason we came back the next day. There's a covered patio with a fireplace and heaters. There's an uncovered backyard type of space with a bonfire pit. This outdoor space is why I would come back and recommend this place! So we came back the next day at 4:00. I got the driest red they had and it was still sweet as candy. My sister got a sweet white and she said it was horrible. I mean, expectations with Ohio wines have to be set low. So pretty on par there. The grazing board we got was so good! We got the most expensive one. I think it was called explorer? It had this whipped goat cheese that was HEAVEN! All the grazing boards looked so good! It was hard to choose!! This place does not have real food for like a meal. They only have bottled water. And they have cats that are super cute and friendly, but will take a nice fresh DUMP to smell up the area for a minute. Lol which is what happened to us.

Stephanie Y.

Yelp
Spent $60 and I'm not really sure what we paid for? We got a charcuterie board that didn't have much on it. The flight of 4 wines was barely 1 glass combined. I couldn't really taste the wine because it was basically 1 sip. They charged us for water bottles when we asked for water.

Stacy M.

Yelp
I have never in my life been to winery that cuts someone off of beer after 6 glasses! my Husband is a 275 lb 45 year old man! Just all minding our own business and celebrating a departure with a co-worker who has been an ER RN for 35+ years. she got NO tip! and we'll never go back. YES WE ARE LOCALS who never even go there. glad we haven't missed much.

Hanh P.

Yelp
If you're visiting Hocking Hills, you need to stop by this winery! The wait time varies, I went here with a few of my girlfriends on a Saturday afternoon and there was a 45min wait. The 2nd time I was here on a Saturday afternoon, there was no wait. Their wine flights are inexpensive and wine slushies can be part of the tasting as well. Get their wine slushies!! They're delicious If you get the slushy, you can mix flavors. If you're hungry, don't expect a full meal here--they only serve charcuteries for ~$20. You can also opt to grab some delicious bbq fare from the food truck right next to them. wine flights: $12 for 4 OR $15 for 6 tastings : Winery medley and Salsa board, ~$20 each

Elise F.

Yelp
The location is rather odd for a winery and do not come here if you are expecting a pretty view of an actual vineyard. They have a small grove of grapes as you enter, but the patio looks into the woods. The wines are okay (we did buy the honeysuckle). The flights are reasonably priced $12/4, however the pours are barely a mouthful. Their wine slushees are sickly sweet. The service was good, friendly and attentive. The charcuterie boards are almost comical, they resemble something you'd make for kids. They have precut cheese and veggies, not even plated in an appealing fashion and far too expensive for what you are getting. They do not allow outside food. Unfortunately I would not return when there are other nearby options.

S M.

Yelp
The setting was beautiful, but the wines were average and the clientele was pretentious.

Kalah Rae F.

Yelp
The best part of Hocking Hills Winery is the beautiful atmosphere on the patio. In fact, I have not actually been inside. The patio, though, is set up like a Zen garden with a cute little waterfall, tables with umbrellas, and fantastic golden hour lighting. They don't serve much food, but mostly cheese boards and flights of wine. They have cute service setups for the wine, which vary depending on whether you get 4 or 6 glasses. The wines were good as far as diversity in the flight, but not really a connoisseur's choice as far as wine goes. The best part is the amazing wine slushies that are offered in most flavors! They are sweet like slushies, but also strong, with depth of flavor, like wine. Overall, it's not cheap exactly, and it's somewhat of a novelty experience, but worth it. I definitely recommend golden hour on the patio ;) If I were ever in the area again with friends, I would definitely consider stopping in again.

Ally G.

Yelp
The wine was horrible, we all had 5 different wines and they all were horrible. Charcuterie board was something out of Walmart deli section. Prices are horrible compared to service

Rhonda W.

Yelp
Went in early November when weather was gorgeous. Was on girl trip and we got 2 tables outside. The wine wasnt great ... but gave it a 5 because it was a blast. Being together.. outside in perfect weather... great time. They give u a list to pick for your wine flight.

Amanda L.

Yelp
We went out of our way to visit here on a Friday afternoon. We were quickly seated but waited over 15 minutes for service to order a glass of wine. No one stopped at our table so we left.

Audria S.

Yelp
Great wine choices and awesome service from Kyle. Outdoor seating was so nice and played relaxing alternative music. Okay pizza. Would definitely visit again!

Michael P.

Yelp
My wife had to stop and buy some wine while we were in the area. I wish we had time to stay, as it is a beautiful venue. All they wine she bought has been great so far, so they must have a good winemaker. I'd love to come back and hang out one evening if we are every in the area again.

Mallarie W.

Yelp
If you are ever in the area & enjoy wine tasting I highly recommend stopping here. Absolutely fantastic!! They have indoor and outdoor seating, dog friendly outside. Beautiful scenery and had live music outside when I went. The music was good and the atmosphere was so enjoyable. The prices were good, the server was very kind and attentive. I loved the wine slushes the most! Definitely worth the trip.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
We loved the wine slushies! We also tried the pinot noir and dry rose and were not wild about either one. They tasted really acidic to me, but overall we just loved the experience here otherwise. Very peaceful setting and terrific staff. We enjoyed one of their charcuterie boards which was filled with fresh veggies, cheese, hummus and crackers. This was such a fun after-hiking stop. Seating was outdoor only, and the patio was lovely.

Heather S.

Yelp
We had such a pleasant time sitting in the garden, enjoying wine flights, wine slashes, and a meat & cheese board. The meat and cheese board was better than we expected... and the wine slashes were stronger than we expected! The wine flight was decent, not the best ever. Still, worth the stop. The highlight, of course, was Syrah the cat who climbed on laps, let us cuddle him, and he was also kind enough to be willing to sample our cheese to make sure it was up to his standards. What a lovebug!!! Also, the service was WONDERFUL. Perfect timing, attentive, and kind. The experience was truly lovely.

Leigh D.

Yelp
We stopped by after a day of hiking. I was excited to do a tasting and buy a couple bottles of wine to take home. We were seated by the hostess. Made our tasting selection,,, the sat for over 15 minutes.. waiting for a waitress. 2 other couples sat down and were promptly served. WTH!!! We decided to leave. I told the hostess snd she said she saw that and did not know where our waitress was!! What?? To bad. The place is nice but service ( at our table) was BAD.

Jenna W.

Yelp
Great winery in the area! After a day of hiking in Hocking Hills State Park, this is an awesome place to relax and unwind. They have a wide variety of wine options, along with some beer and non alcoholic drinks. On the wine menu they let you create your own flight of 4 or 6, including the wine slushy options. I chose to go with the 6 wine flight and tried a majority of the sweet wines. They were all delicious, fruity, and refreshing. Each had its own unique flavor and brought out different tones of the grapes. I ended up ordering a full glass of the Rose Lake Blush it was so tasty. We also ordered the Harvast Board to snack on. It was an excellent mix of cheeses, meats, nuts, and jam. A little bit of everything to try. All of it was delicious and paired well with the wine! Atmosphere of the winery is great and the outside space is large and welcoming. They even have a few friendly cats that roam around and love greeting guests. While it's a bit pricey, it's worth the experience and great quality of wine and food!

Eydie C.

Yelp
Loved their wine tasting experience! The veggie board was perfect with the wine and they had tasty chocolates too. Our waitress was very attentive but not bothersome. The outdoor seating was so relaxing.
