Hofbräustüberl Garmisch

Had a great dinner here. They had schäufele on the menu so we gave that a try. It was very good. We usually get krustenbraten or schweinshaxe. This was a new style for us but theyre all pretty similar. I had a Nurnberger sausage plate with sauerkraut which was great also.

This place has really good food to offer. Your typical German cuisine. The service was okay. They just did their job, nothing more than that. Sometimes a smile goes a long way ;) The atmosphere was great because we were sitting outside enjoying the nice, quiet summer evening.

Hands down the best meal I had in Germany, and there were a lot of them. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. Everything about this visit was enjoyable. I will definitely visit again when I am in Garmisch. 👏👏👏 P.S. My pictures are below average and don't do these meals justice. My apologies.

The tomato cream soup was so good I nearly ordered two more bowls. Then came the roast duck, already one of my favorite dishes in Garmisch, and it did not disappoint. I finished with an Apfelstrudel loaded with ice cream, whipped cream, fruits and sauce. Pure indulgence. My waiter Tiberio was kind and efficient. A perfect end to a long hike.

Delicious pork knuckle that absolutely fell off the bone. Service was so friendly and made me feel well attended to. 10/10 would recommend. You must have the knuckle of pork!!

****Update! I found our receipt and the lovely waitresses name was Aura! She was just amazing! Please ask for her when you go and tell them we sent you! You will be glad that you did!! ***** We were a party of four and stopped in for dinner and it was really great. The food was good and the service was great. We got the pork, the veal, and the beef and all of them were so good. Our waitress was great at speaking English and she was so kind and helpful. We also got various desserts and they were all amazing. The entire experience was so good. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back when in the area. This place is definitely worth your time.

Nice place with a good menu. We went on a busy night but the service is great and we still got our food in a reasonable time. I enjoyed it.
