STAY AWAY!!! We paid 1200 euros for 2 rooms for one night (600/room) having booked in advance. We knew Iceland would be expensive but this is another level. We checked into the rooms and one of them (room 105) if the owners want to do anything about it. Was just held together by masking tape. Normally I would be fine with this, but my question to the hotel, where does the money go? Because it certainly doesn’t go to the showers. Other than that the rooms were fine and comfortable. But not 600 euro rooms. So yeah, stay away if you can.

The location of this hotel is wonderful. The lobby and breakfast areas are absolutely beautiful! The rooms are somewhat small and very warm. There was one small window that helped a lot with air flow. The walls were also thin and we could hear other guests in the hallway and the room next to us. All staff were so friendly and quick to assist! Breakfast had good options and they were constantly refilling items!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a room with a glacier view and it was beautiful. The beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We walked to a restaurant nearby that was recommended by a staff member and it was wonderful. The breakfast was very good and had a lot of choices. We enjoyed walking on the path along the water and taking in the beautiful location. Great place to stay!

Nice restaurants around this hotel with a bar, breakfast and free WiFi. The walls are thin, not soundproof. Only a couple of floors, no elevator. Nice set of towels and toiletries. The view from the front balcony by the bar is beautiful. Good freshly made breakfast is available with a nice sit in area.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Checkin was easy, staff was friendly, and the room was clean. Best thing about the room is the view! It was cloudy when we arrived, but we still thought it was beautiful. However, in the morning we were pleasantly surprised to see a glacier right outside our window!

Room is nice and clean. This has a safe. But still no microwave like any other hotels in Iceland. There is no fridge in the regular room. There's no proper closet just hangers on a bar to hang your clothes. They use Loccitane amenities and this has a body lotion as well. You might get lucky and get a sea view room as well. It is close to a few restaurants.

We paid for three nights in May but walked out after two. It was that intolerable. Here are the problems we encountered: ||1. The first room they gave us had a bathroom that smelled wretched. |2. The second room smelled okay. However, the room had no sound insulation. We heard the neighbors talking and heard their TV, and heard doors slamming in the hallway until very late in the night. |3. The next day was a gorgeous sunny day, with temps in the low 60s. We returned to our glacier-view room in the evening and the room was roasting. The room was close to 90 degrees (the room got the afternoon sun until 10pm). There was no air-conditioning and no fan, and only one tiny window that opened. We propped open the door for an hour before bedtime and prayed for a breeze. It was still too hot to sleep. |4. When we checked in, the staff asked if we wanted to waive the daily room cleaning for credit at the bar or restaurant. We passed on the credit. The staff never did clean our room (even though we asked them three times).

Ridiculously overpriced ! ||When we arrived the Indian impression of the hotel was quite good due to its location on the edge of town overlooking the sea and the distant glacier. We checked in and were told we were on the second floor but there wasn’t a lift so we had to lug our suitcases up the stairs ourselves (both in our 60s). The room was small with an even smaller bathroom and had no air conditioning or even a bin. As we were facing the sea the room got very warm in the evening and the little window that opened had to be wedged with the no smoking sign as it kept closing. Beds were ok and the room was clean. Breakfast again was ok. This is a 2 star standard motel pretending to be better and cost us over £500 for one night which is vastly overpriced even by Icelandic standards. Very basic accommodation at five star hotel prices
