**A Dining Seaside Experience like no other** ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cozy seaside restaurant with delicious food! We enjoyed a fantastic meal: the mushroom soup starter was flavorful, the fresh bread and butter were perfect, and the fish main course was cooked to perfection. The pancake with ice cream for dessert was the perfect sweet ending. Large portions, so come hungry! The restaurant's atmosphere is romantic, family-friendly, and cosy. They have fresh ingredients as we saw the chef walk in with a large box of fresh mushrooms. The staff are friendly and attentive.

We got to the restaurant a little early thinking we’d just get drinks and wait for our dinner reservation. Instead the staff welcomed us and sat us early. The atmosphere is so quaint and lovely. You get a great view of the harbor. However, the food is the standout part of this restaurant. We got the mushroom soup and it was quite honestly one of the best soups we had in all of our trip to Iceland. Then we got the lobster and pesto mushroom risotto and it was everything you could ever hope for from a lobster dish. Rich, succulent, buttery, but the arugula and pesto sauce really helped to tone down the richness and make it a really enjoyable meal.

Amazing dining experience by the most friendly and helpful staff. Then the food... OMG absolutely out of this world! The seafood soup with pickled fennel was UNBELIEVABLE. The licorice ice cream was fantastic! Creamy and delicious while not being overwhelming with anise. Can't wait to go back, I can't recommend this place enough

I had the reindeer salad and lamb shank at this establishment. We arrived twenty minutes before the closing time, yet the owner and staff were very cordial and accommodated us. The staff was very friendly and assisted us with transportation and other matters. The food was extraordinary. The reindeer and lamb were both reportedly from Iceland and locally sourced. The flavor, preparation, and presentation of the dishes were all very appetizing and made for a memorable experience.

Second time we've visited this restaurant (first time several years ago) and I'm happy to say it has retained its high standards. Not the cheapest place to eat but sometimes you do actually get what you pay for. Not certain it has a great deal of choice for a Vegan or Vegetarian but plenty for Omnivores or Pescatarians. Great food and pleasant atmosphere. Next time we're in Reykjavik we would happily dine there again.

We had the most amazing dinner here. The children had moules mariniere. I had a cocktail and grandma's haddock followed by the most amazing dessert. The service was very friendly but the highlight was seeing the chef helping with the service. A bit pricy but worth going for the amazing ambiance and food.

Whenever you're in Reykjavík go to have a meal at Höfnin. I've been there twice this week, and I ate different meals. All of them were very tasty. The staff and the owner are friendly and accommodating. The location is gorgeous by the waterfront. Höfnin is among the best restaurants in town.
