Hogwarts Express: Hogsmeade Station

Beware, 2.5 hour wait. Deanna called out for 2 people, we were 5 ft away. She chose 2 that were 50 plus people behind us bottom.of steps. Made no sense, unless she knew them. Maybe she needs extra traing to help her out in seeing the crowd and picking 2 right in front of her vs 2, 50 or more behind us. Not worth the wait. Happy New Year!

Nestled in snowy rooftops and surrounded by pine trees, it feels like the gateway to another world. The attention to detail is top-tier — old suitcases, flickering lanterns, and staff in wizarding robes make it feel authentic and warm. The ride back toward King’s Cross flips the perspective. This time, the story outside your window changes: dark skies, shadowy figures, and a touch of mystery build anticipation. It’s less cheerful, more cinematic — and that contrast makes it even better. Boarding the train here feels like you’re leaving Hogwarts at the end of the school year. Nostalgic, cozy, and full of little surprises. Verdict stands: pure magic, every time.

I love this experience and think it's one of the cooler things that Universal has built to really enhance the Harry Potter world experience. The wait wasn't too bad when we were there and the ride itself is only four minutes. While you're going between parks, there is a show in the window playing and shadows on the door that make it feel fun and realistic.

Fun ride park to park if you have the interpark passes. Sad to know it's just a fake train on a pulley system but didn't know what i expected...

Dec 2025. Rode back to Diagon Alley to finish the day. Lines were getting long but we had more to see and wanted to make sure we rode both ways before we get done tomorrow.

It isn't anything special. You can only access this ride back and forth between Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios of you have a multiple parks per day pass.
