Hoi Tin Cafe

This tea shop is really nice and very popular — it gets quite busy. There’s a restroom available, which is a big plus, and the space has both upstairs and downstairs seating. The tea is also very good. Definitely a pleasant place to stop by.

I came here for the matcha a lots! The matcha is good and creamy, after a while it will get clumpy but it’s kinda hard to mix up using the paper straw. The toast is hot and crunchy, really deep with peanut flavor; but the wait time can be a bit longer, about 10 minutes or so.

The food was good. It’s more like a Hong Kong theme cafe. Not really the same thing as the ones you can have in Hong Kong, but the taste alone is pretty close already. The only complaint is the milk tea was no where close to what it should be.

I’ve recently been to Japan and the Matcha here has the same authentic taste. The interior is super modern and cosy at the same time and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. My favorite unique matcha place in Amsterdam. Really a hidden gems for tourists and a great place to go for locals.

worst matcha latte I've ever tasted, it's basically just extremely watered down plain full fat milk. maybe cheap matcha powder, but there was no hint of matcha at all and it made me feel nauseous afterwards the pineapple bun with eggs was great though. sweet bun with warm and fluffy scrambled omelette is worth the price

Cozy cafe with nice interior! The service was really quick and the staff is very friendly. Matcha was good, but could be better. We really liked the sandwiches, hopefully the menu will expand.

Food was nicely presented and tasted alright, but service could be more attentive. We arrived around 10:08 with only two tables seated, yet had to wait quite long for our order to be taken. They took the order of the guests in front of us and then made us wait while preparing their drinks, instead of taking our order as well so we could be seated while they worked on the drinks. It would have been more efficient and considerate to take our order first before returning to the counter. Our peanut butter toast came out over 50 minutes later (time between picture and bank transaction)— we even considered leaving. No apology or water refill during the wait, though the lady who finally served us kindly offered free drinks, which we appreciated. Nice food, but service needs improvement.

Ordered a mango iced matcha latte with coconut milk and the match custard bun. Both were incredible. This is one of the best places for matcha. I went in another time around 12:00 and they didn’t have the buns so I think they run out quick and don’t make a lot but I would definitely keep an eye out since they were delicious.
