I don't like to hang out in and around Nyhavn because the tourist aspect drives up the prices and lowers expectations, so it is more of a shock to find something nice than something average. No surprises here, just mediocre food and a place to rest your feet. The 'brunch' was standard with 3 slices of toast, 3 slices of chorizo, 3 slices of anonymous cheese, a soft-boiled egg, and yogurt with muesli. With a coffee, it costs 95 dkk. The egg was cooked nicely and the yogurt was good, but the crust on the bread was too hard in some places so I had to pick some of it off because it was tearing up my mouth. Without a drink, the brunch alone costs 75 dkk. As Rene mentions, it lacked a little something extra and it took a long time to get this simple plate together. Granted, there was only one lady doing that and another one taking orders and making all the coffees, but they were expecting our group well in advance and should have planned accordingly.
They were able to make me a latte with soy milk which was fine. The interior is charming but it looks like someone was in the middle of sanding down the walls and forgot to finish, much less repaint. If you are an unadventurous tourist, this is a good place to visit for a hot drink and toilet visit, plus the servers seemingly speak only English. The sandwiches looked better than what we had, so maybe go for that. I'll certainly get my brunch elsewhere.
